Book 1 in the Shattered Series
Cade is living a brand new life in California, and his future seems bright. He has a band, he's in school, and just like the Phoenix that's tattooed on his neck, he's determined to rise from the ruined ashes of his past and move forward. And following the gorgeous, blond, jock back to his hotel room is definitely a step in the right direction towards making that progress.
Blake has always lived a privileged life, full of money and material things and lacking in love and affection. His singular goal in life has been to surpass his father's level of affluence, but that ceaseless focus on power and wealth has left him heartless and detached from the world. He doesn't have the time or patience for relationships, and he's been perfectly content meeting his needs through random one-night stands and casual lovers. Until he meets Cade. For the first time in his life, he feels something...and it scares the hell out of him.
Will Cade be able to trust Blake with the truth about his past? Will Blake be able to open himself to the idea of love and commitment?

I am a true Southerner, born and raised in the southeast where I plan to stay until the end of my days. I live with a crazy coonhound who's actually an evil genius intent on taking over the world, a sweetheart of a pibble who loves to cuddle, and my ginger Mr. P who is always ready with a cheesy joke.

My storylines primarily focus on May-December relationships because I enjoy the dynamic that an age gap adds to a romance. I would consider my writing to be MM erotic romance. I grew up reading Harlequin novels with all of their gloriously gratuitous and overly dramatic sex scenes, so my books do have a lot of sex, but I also think they have a lot of love. I don't believe that romance has to be sweet and sugary and cute. It can be raw and dirty and sweaty as long as there's true passion, an authentic connection, and naked emotion...with an emphasis on the naked.

I want y'all to enjoy reading my stories as much as I enjoy creating them, so I always welcome any questions or comments.

Book 1 in the Shattered Series. According to her blog, author Anne Pine plan to publish the concluding Book 2 in January 2016.

This is a story about Blake and Cade. Blake is 29, cold and unfeeling (until Cade) owns a record label and is a committment phobe. Cade is a musically talented 19 yr old college student still recovering from a trauma of an assault that almost killed him 4 years ago. There is instant attraction, a rich and powerful businessman, two emotionally damaged MCs, one is hiding from a psycho from his past..my mind was thinking Gideon and Eva (of Sylvia Day'sCrossfire Series) from the moment of the BJ in the backsdat of Blake's towncar. This is not necessary a bad thing, I enjoyed the first 2 books of the Crossfire Series, but I digress. I liked Blake's internal turmoil, the "I want him but I shouldn't because I am bad for him" thing going in his head. It makes him human but it does gets old.

Cade on the other hand is disney-princess perfect, emotional fragility aside. So beautiful he turns head, so kind he pep talks distressed strangers sitting by the roadside, volunteers his time at a centre for disadvantaged kids, brings tears to his audience when he plays the piano, writes, sings and play lead guitar in a popular but yet-to-hit-the-big-time rock band, is an introvert who knows how to interact well socially..at that point I rolled my eyes so hard my eye balls may have flipped. Fortunately I am shallow, there is enough elements in this book that float my boat and the beautiful people in said book have seriously hot sex; so here I am, eagerly awaiting the continuation to this story.

Mostly enjoyable. Needs a little editing but written well. Sorry to have to wait for the sequel. I just kind of dislike the arrogant, emotionally stunted millionaire trope. Aren't there any nice well-adjusted ones? Drags just a little since nothing very significant happens, just emotional drama and a good amount of sex. There was at least some time spent learning about each other and no insta-love. Hoping the next has more plot.

I changed my rating. I'm not sure why I liked it any better the first time. It gets boring and Blake is nasty, then whines about how he can't be in a relationship, he'll get bored, yadda, yadda.

Great start to a new m/m erotic series!!

Awesome book! This author was new to me, but I'm so glad I tried something new. Writing style and quality are top-notch. Great plot and character development. HOT HOT HOT sex scenes, but nothing cheesy or overdone. Can't wait for book 2!!
