Dear Author, I can’t believe he’s safe in my arms at last! After all that we have been though to reach this point, knowing he is here with me is all that matters. Together, we will make it through whatever life may throw at us.
Photo Description: Two men stand bare in a small patch of sunlight in an otherwise dark room. These two have been to hell and back, but now they can be together at last. They embrace passionately with no care for anything or anyone else but each other.

Wow, it's been roughly fifteen years since I discovered my very first slash fiction, and nearly that long that I've been writing my own fanfiction, too.
I've dabbled in original fiction on and off through the years, though none were ever finished.
Last year, I've finally found the courage to join in on the annual MM Romance Group's "Don't Read in the Closet - Love's Landscapes" event, and it was such an exciting and rewarding experience to have been included in the anthology that I'm writing for DRitC again this year!
I'm still trying to find my niche and I'll be the first one to admit that there's still so much learning to be done, but I'm looking forward to it.
I liked this more and more as I kept reading. It was very complex, and not in a good way. There were countless rules about angels and demons and other beings. There were also religious aspects I did not like. The writing was not flawless, and several times I wondered if a word used properly. The story itself is a grand adventure with love lost and rekindled. That was what I enjoyed most.
Honestly, while the story was intriguing, I found myself lost a few times. I figured this was fantasy with modern AU, but at the same time some of the scenes screamed ancient/historical to me. There were also some non-English languages with no translation at all (I noticed French as one, the others... I was not sure they were real or made-up. Sorry author, stupid reader here).
That said and as much comprehensive grasp I could muster, the story was more of the devil Zaviel journey in finding his cast-off angel lover with the help of mixed blood being and fallen angel. There's a bit of Heaven/Hell politics and battles between the supernatural beings thrown in.
The romance between Zav and his beloved was very un-devil-like imho. ;-) In fact, Zav character was as far from mischief, selfishness and deviltry as the usual devil's qualities. There's no wild monkey sex scenes, all off-page and quite tame despite the prompt pic.
_______________________ My rating - 5 outstanding, 4 - I liked this and will re-read it, 3 - I enjoyed it though may not re-read, 2 - I kept going because I had to see how it ended, 1 - Whatever time I spent with this book is time I'll never get back to my regret.
