A sweet book to hold on to and cherish. Calkins' vulnerability touched my heart in several ways over the course of the collection (as her poetry consistently does).

This book has been a gem in my library since 1974. It had a different cover back then. This is a new , and less worn copy. It has so many thought provoking ideas in it. They are in little poem, or story like fashion. Each one is a gem to hold onto in life. I received my copy shortly after my marriage, and it has been a breath of wisdom for me many times. It covers all types of topics, and reminds us, that the Lord remembers us, and encourages us, even when we are busy, or distracted. I love the honesty of this book. It makes one take an inner look into our motives, and desired of our heart, as well as what we say. I loved it then, and it will always be one of my most favorite books....I am giving it as a gift this year, to someone very special, who I think will also find it enjoyable, and meaningful.
