I love Cynthia Eden’s voice. I think that the way she writes always keeps me on the edge of my seat, whether it’s a romantic suspense, or a paranormal romance, or both.
I normally hate "the Big Misunderstanding" in a romance, but this author has a way of leaking out bits of the past, or the Misunderstanding to the characters, bit by bit, and it no longer is such a Big Misunderstanding. It becomes something that everyone can deal with, rationally, you know, like in real life.
In this novella, we see Paige walking up to a werewolf stronghold in Alaska, and being dragged in. The thing is, Paige is a vampire, and in this world, vamps and werewolves do not mix. But Paige has the alpha’s protection, and is allowed in. The big question is, how did she get his protection?
Drake hasn’t seen Paige in years. Since the day she bailed on him, to be exact. They were in love, and supposed to meet at the lake, but she never showed. Yet here she is, waltzing into his compound easy as you please, wearing the medallion he gave her when they’d been in love. Oh, and Paige is a vampire now. She wasn’t when they’d been together. So Drake wants to know what happened, but Paige only gives him some story about needing him to kill a vampire. Drake plansto find out where his sweet Paige has been, and what she’s up to now.
And this time? Drake won’t let Paige walk away.

"Bound in Sin" is the story of Drake and Paige.
A second chance romance between the now-turned-human-vampire Paige and werewolf alpha Drake- its a story of heartbreak, love, betrayals and unrequited passion. Im just glad the couple re-united, and that their spark never diminished.

It was intense as the timeline was just a day or 2? The story is more on the fighting with vamps. It’s good but not a lot of relationship building or romance.. The heroine was stupid not to reach out to the hero for 10 yrs.. seriously, I hate long separations

Comparing this one to the two previous ones, I have to say that it wasn't as good as I hoped it to be. The main reason for that is, that the h was only with H and during their 10 year separation she hadn't had anybody else, while H had (at least that was hinted in his POV). That was a bit too cliché for my taste.
What I loved, tho, is that the h was really smart and strong. She made the story worth-while for me, since that is what in the end what created the great mystery and angst.
Can't wait to read the fourth book. :)

Oh I really enjoyed this one too! It's my favorite so far. I love when we have lovers reunited and it is written well. It just adds so much to the story.
Drake was a young male, set to be the alpha of his pack and he fell in love with Paige, a human. He was going to bring her into the pack. He didn't care. She was his and his everything. But someone else had other plans and had Paige kidnapped by vampires, where she was turned into the thing that Drake hates the most.
This was such a great story and the reunion between Paige (who never stopped loving Drake) and Drake was beautiful and sexy.
I love how she never stopped loving him and the same for Drake.

For a novella which is supposed to be a short read, this sure broke my heart. It was filled with a depth of emotion that I wouldn’t have expected in a story of only around 10,000 words or so.
The pain Paige and Drake carried resonated through the words on the pages, their feelings for each other so poignant, you had to be a statue not to feel for them. Their suffering over their separation was heartbreaking. My heart went out for both of them but especially for Paige. Even after everything she went through, she still tried to protect Drake from the truth.
I loved both characters and all the twists and turns in the plot. This review makes me wanna go and read the book all over again. Definitely a keeper.

I've really enjoy Eden's vampire/werewolf romances. All three have been great and pack such a punch in under 200 pages.
Drake Wyler and Paige Sloan's story is a heartbreaking one because they were taken from the other and suffered so much in the ten years that has past.
Once Drake, 21, knew that then 19 year old Page was the one for him, he shared his secret of being a werewolf with her. He's plans of making her his mate was taken from him and for ten years he always believed she just couldn't handle him being a werewolf.
When Paige suddenly shows up, as a vampire, and still wearing his necklace marking her safe from all others, she's taken to him. He pulls her into his arms and it's clear he doesn't have the same reaction to her that he does to all the other vampires. But there is still anger in him and he forces her to reveal why she's come.
She tells him she needs his protection from her maker, Gabe, who is after her. Drake is all to happy to promise her that Gabe will never harm her again. However, every deal comes with a price and his price is her in his bed.
Paige doesn't tell him, but in the ten years she's never stopped loving him. Never been with anyone else and wants nothing more to be with him. But that dream ended with her life.
They settle their deal just as Gabe launches his first attack. What Paige didn't tell Drake was that she's here to protect him. Her turning by Gabe was to distract Drake. Knowing he would be targeted, Paige came to give him insider tips to save his life.
They both survive the first attack, but Paige loses a lot of blood from her shoulder injuring from protecting him. Willing to let her bite him, he learns Paige has never bit anyone. Through pleasuring tactics, he not only gets her to bite him, but becomes one with her.
Waking alone, she finds him and his men torturing one of Gabe’s henchmen, Malcolm. Having a painful past with Malcolm comes out when he reveals what truly happen the night she never met up with Drake. The night she lost her life.
It was a betrayal by Drake’s Alpha, Jeremiah. He knew Drake was next in line and was not going to let him bring in a human as his mate. Drake thought by being the next in line Alpha that Paige would be safe. Jeremiah told Drake that Paige would meet in at the lake later than they planned. He set up the vampire attack on Paige. It was Gabe that kept him from killing her. After Jeremiah was done torturing her, he changed her knowing he could use her to get to Drake later when he was Alpha.
Paige takes the shocked silence after she and Drake kill him to escape the compound. Drake risked his pack challenging him when he goes after Paige. He finds her at the lake and despite her telling him she wasn’t at the lake, he can see she was. The pain hits knowing the life they could have had was taken from them. He promises now will be different.
When they hear the vampires coming, they take off and he leads them to safety shelter. He calls for backup at the lake. While they wait for the pack to take care of the vampires, Paige gets him to mark her by taking her blood.
When the alarms go off, they see a wolf traitor leading the vampires to their shelter. Needing more time for her blood to flow through him, she knocks him out and faces Gage down. Waking, Drake finds Paige in a strong hold by Gage with a stake to her heart.
Facing gunshots and the threat Paige may die; he focuses on his inner strength and takes control of the battle. He takes revenge for his parents’ death and for Paige when he finally kills Gage.
With wolves surrounding her, Paige owns up to lying to him and walks away. Going back to his pack, he learns no one is challenging him after they learned what all Paige did to protect him.
For the last time, he goes after his mate and for once they won’t be taken from each other.

Cynthia Eden continues her sexy and exciting Bound series with Bound in Sin and does not disappoint!
Each novella is set up perfectly as a stand-alone so you can jump right in without feeling lost.
Paige Sloan was suppose to meet her werewolf lover, Drake Wyler, one night but never showed. Now, years later she arrives in Alaska at, now alpha, Drake’s front door. No longer human, but vampire, Drake demands answers from Paige but only receives half of the story because Paige is keeping the other half to herself determined to protect Drake even if it means the loss of her own life. Refusing to let Paige walk out of his life again, Drake offers his and the packs protection despite the fact that werewolves and vampires are mortal enemies. But betrayers in his circle and a twisted vampire threaten the second chance at love that Drake hopes to find with Paige. Will they be able to overcome past misunderstandings and learn to trust again or will the vampire responsible for turning Paige see his evil plans be brought to fruition?
Bound in Sin is a fun novella to sink your teeth into for a quick bite between full length novels. Drake is a kick-ass, sexy alpha and Paige a brave, determined heroine; both intriguing characters that Cynthia Eden provides a smooth dialogue for. The couple has a past history so when they’re quick to heat up the pages it is believable and smokin’ hot. (If you like Cynthia Eden’s other works and found them sizzling, then expect twice that with these paranormal erotic romance novellas.) The plot itself is action packed and set in a simple but captivating world that works perfectly for this size novella and despite the paranormal aspects of the story the situations are relatable. My only complaint about the Bound in Sin would be that the story very closely resembles the second novella in this series, Bound in Darkness, and seemed slightly repetitive.
When it comes to Cynthia’s books though, I don’t even bother to read the blurbs anymore before picking them up. I just dig right in knowing that I will fall in love with the story and characters by the first page.

Geçekten hiş bir kısa hikayeydi.Vampir kurtadam çıkmazını okumayı ne kadar sevgimi bana hatırlatacak kadarda güzeldi. Yazar hem durumun zorluğunu anlatıp hemde karakterlerin sevgisini bu kısacık hikayeye sığdırmıştı.
Özellikle çizdiği güçlü vampir ve daha güçlü kurt adam karakteri çok hoşuma gitti. Tek saçma gelen şey herkes güçlüyse o zaman av kim? Tabi yazar bun ada bir kalıp bulmuştu ama bana yeterli gelmedi.
Kitapta bir vampir ve kurt adam çıkmazı ele alınıyor, kitap uzun değil, bir saate bitiyor ama benim hoşlandığım bir çok unsuru barındırıyordu. Uzun saatler harcamadan okunabilecek güzel bir hikayeydi.

Ama DRake tek bir şey düşünebilmekte, Paige bir daha ondan kaçamayacak.

I really loved this one!
Paige and Drake had a lot of history. With the other books in this series, the couples have this instant connection, which although I enjoy that, sometimes I struggle to feel that emotional connection because it all happens so fast. Because of their history in this, the love is already there, so I felt everything. The pain, the anger and the love.
I've disliked the action side in a couple of the books in this series but I really liked the action in this one. It had a good bad guy and it wasn't over the top.
What I loved about this was that the action and romance was very well balanced and I throughly enjoyed the way it all played out. It didn't feel like a novella.
This was everything I wanted. I really do enjoy a good ol' sexy "mine" story.

Seriously becoming addicted to these short stories by Cynthia Eden as they are so good! I have yet to read one that I haven't liked or even enjoyed!
I love the mix of Ms Eden's Vampire and Werewolf stories and how she has portrayed them in a different light compared to others.
Ms Eden writes these novellas so well and they are super cheap to read too I can't help but automatically download one to my Kindle as soon as I see a new one has become available!

Another great installment to the Bound series! Paige and Drake are another couple {like Allison and Cade} who have a complicated relationship, the difference being that there's a bit of a back history between Paige and Drake which slowly becomes revealed through the storyline. I found Bound in Sin to be quite a bit more kickass than the other two novella's in the series so far.
Paige is a great character, after everything she's suffered and believed she still wants to save Drake and make sure he remains unharmed. She's also not defeatist about what happened to her and the choices she's made. She's not at peace with it all but she's accepted her circumstances and understands her situation, as a vampire, as Drake being the Alpha of a pack and of doing what she must to make sure Drake stays alive.
I really enjoyed the small twists Bound in Sin gaves us and if you couldn't tell, I greatly enjoyed Paige as the heroine. Drake is a great character too, but in a very different way, Drake has gone a little mad with Paige no longer in his life, not knowing if she had left him or was dead.
Overall, another great novella and a great addition to the Bound series.

I accidentally read these out of order, but it turned out not to be a problem. This is the third in the series, but can and was read out of order or stand alone.
This is exactly how a novella should be is what I thought as this one leaped into the action revealing what is really going on a little at a time so that as you turn each plot corner a new and delightful surprise awaits.
The story begins with a vampire, Paige, coming to the dangerous lair of the werewolves' alpha, Drake to speak to him about a proposition. It has been over ten years since the last time Paige has seen Drake. Last time she was human and this time she is a vampire- the same race that killed his family. Drake had loved her and she him, but all he knew was that she left him waiting by the lake waiting for her.
No sooner than she is escorted in to talk to him and make her proposal- that he kill Gabe another vampire for her- which he accepts on one condition because he is still attracted to her and wants her, but the walled estate is attacked by vamps. The wolves think she set them up. Can she convince Drake that she came for an entirely different purpose? Will he think from his heart or out of vengeance?
The plot was necessarily fast moving and gets to the point quickly with such a low word count, but what there was did not waste around with anything unnecessary nor did it leave anything important out. There is steamy romance, action, intrigue and betrayal. Good stuff!
The characters are not real deep, but they are not just two dimensional. Paige and Drake had such sad pasts that you really cheer them on to have this chance now and to really stick it to the villain.
I really enjoyed the story and I plan to go back and read the other two along with more of Ms. Eden's work.

Seems with each book the heroine is running from danger, straight into the arms of a delicious werewolf male :)
The last (?) book in this series didn't disappoint in terms of lust and suspense. Paige was supposed to become Drake's mate, but then she disappeared leaving him heartbroken. She was a human, something the former alpha Jeremiah despised. Now Paige is back and a vampire. She will stop at nothing to protect Drake from the danger that's about to arrive on his doorstep, but how will he react?
Drake can't believe Paige is back. The anger and hurt over her disappearance as well as her new vampire status do nothing to quell the lust and love he's always felt for her. He knows she's hiding something from him, but when he finds out what secret she's been keeping from, it goes beyond anything he could have imagined.
I thoroughly enjoyed part three of the series. I did wonder why the packs from all three books never teamed up or exchanged information that not all vampires were bad. That may have prevented a few overeager wolves from trying to pounce on the heroine and incurring the alpha's anger. Seriously. At least Paige mentions that she's had contact with the pack in Florida.
I would never have guessed under what circumstances Paige became a vampire. That was a bit of a surprise. What followed afterwards was predictable though. Once again, I love a heroine that can kick butt. Paige didn't let Drake fight her battles for her. Like the other vampire females in the series, she's an equal to her mate. A fun, sexy read and a good series by Ms Eden.

A friend of mine and I were testing out the lending possibilities of some of our kindle ebooks, and this is one she lent me. This novella is actually the 3rd in the vampire/werewolf trilogy, so I've started out of order. The story grabbed me from the start, and though there was a history between Paige and Drake that had happened before this story, the author does a good job of filling in the details!
Werewolves and vampires are natural enemies, so it's unusual for a vampire to show up at a werewolf compound looking for help. Ten years have passed since they last saw each other and there is a lot that has happened in those years! Paige was still human then. Drake is now the Alpha of the Alaskan Pack. I don't want to give too much away, but the passion is still there between the 2 of them! I loved how much is packed into this novella! It was a quick read, primarily because I couldn't put it down! I enjoyed it so much, that I went ahead and spent $1.98 to get the 1st 2 books in the series, (they are lendable) so my friend can read them in order! ;-)

This was a quick read but I did enjoy the forbidden love story between a vampire and a werewolf. I really felt for Paige, who was human but because of a betrayal was turned into a vampire, effectively taking her away from her love, her mate, Drake. After 10 years she returns to ask for his help and though it had been a long time and Drake is angry with her for disappearing all those years, he's still in love with her.
I would have loved it if this story had been longer but at the same time, you are given enough information to get you into the story and you learn everything necessary to reach a satisfying conclusion.
One thing that confused me at first was it almost seemed as if Paige was trying to say that she, herself, was a werewolf until I realized that whenever she'd reference "wolf" she was referring to Drake. Once I realized that, it was no longer confusing.
The fight scenes were well done and the love scenes were hot! I definitely will have to check out more of Cynthia Eden's books.

I gave this four stars not because there was anything wrong with it, but because it was a shorter story, the over all series is enticing, I just wish the books were longer.
Any time there are Vampires, Werewolves and Demons all living in one world, great stories are sure to ensue.
This particular story is about Paige, a human turned vampire, going back to her past to try and protect the love of her youth from the pure blood that turned her. She returns not knowing if she will be killed on sight because it is a known fact werewolves kill vampires. Paige and Drake's reunion quickly turns into a bloody battle for both their lives from not only the pure-blood tracking them but by a traitor too. Secrets are revealed, old misconceptions cleared up, old love reawakened as they both fight to save one another.
I can't wait to see what is going to happen next. What new alliances will be formed and what boundaries are going to be pushed...

The characters are wonderful together. Paige is strong and willing to fight for her man, literally, while Drake is sexy rough. Their romance is sizzling and the plot is filled with action, betrayal, and passion.

Like the rest in this series, this book left me breathless and wanting more. The action was fully entertaining. Paige loved Drake when she was a girl and still does. Only she is a vampire now and after ten long years on the run she finally runs to him. She says she is there for his protection, but that's not entirely true. She can't tell him all her secrets because she doesn't want him to think of her as anything other than the girl that left him behind. But Drake knows. He knows that she's hiding things from him, but he has waited too long for his love to return and now that he has her he will never let her go. No matter what. I'm in love! Oh, I'm getting addicted to this series.
Loved the story! It is so sweet. It's kind of unique too because hero and heroine had a history together and something happened that made them separated. Then, they met again! And awwwww the meeting was mixed with overwhelming and heart breaking. At the same time, it was heart warming too. Because of what happened, they both became tortured, damaged souls. I'm sucker for that. Their haunted pasts, reading them made my heart clenched. So sad!
Read this book if you haven't! I'm not sure if you will experience the emotional turmoil like me but yeah, I was born with a soft heart. Recommended.

Paige and Drake’s story is heartbreaking. Torn apart at a young age, betrayal, secrets and lies are shoved between them. Ten years has gone by and their love has never died, but for Drake neither has the anger. Another great read that jumps straight into the meat of the story and this world, we find Paige coming to Drake for help. Nothing is quite as it seems, and it was nice to see these two finding each other again and clearing up what really went down that fateful night. Another fantastic read from Eden.

This was a short story but it had an interesting twisting plot line. I would call this book more paranormal erotica than romance though, the author really heats up the pages between the two main characters, the author did a great job relaying the level of emotions these two feel for each other. I liked her writing style enough to go looking for a longer book to read. If your looking for a easy read that has a happily ever after ending then this should be right up your alley.
