This book was fun for me, an adult. Kids are sure to love it. It contains more than just monster trucks. It has fast and large shopping carts, the world's longest skateboard, etc. I don't know about it being a level 2. AR says it's a 4.1.

August 2017 - Ben was interested in all the wacky vehicles, but it doesn't work well as a read aloud (and I can imagine all the names would be challenging for an actual beginning reader!)

What I Thought- What kid wouldn’t want to read about amazing vehicles? There are vehicles with specified duties (such as two huge mining vehicles), while some are just random (like a bathroom based motorcycle, and a church based street rod). The book is fun to read and I had to take a second look at some of the vehicles – they are pretty impressive. This is a great non-fiction book for little kids. I was really happy to see Guinness World Records leveled readers! I would have loved these when I was starting to learn to read. It’s a great way to get kids interested in non-fiction too!
*NOTE* I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book

Pros:
It's a record book and those are always fun!
Great, fun pictures!
Cool subject material!

Cons:
I wish they had given better descriptions of the size of things. The numbers didn't mean much to my kiddo but when I said, "That car is only as tall as a Barbie and a half," she understood better. Unfortunately, I didn't have good size descriptors for all of them, though.
