Yamaken is still my fave! I love him as a character so much because he is so real. He is in fact a jerk but he is a nice jerk, he has a lot of good traits and it is very complex.
As much as I wish Shizuku and him were the main couple, I'm happy with them being friends. Yamaken confessed again, he exposed his feelings and the reasons why he wanted to be with her and why they would be good for each other (I agreed with him) he told Haru that he confessed (they have a weird friendship but it was still something that a good friend does so I was happy with this) and then when Shizuku told him that she was sure about Haru he backed off. AND HE IS GOING TO BE HER FRIEND! Like he promised it to try and I can totally see him doing it :)
I'm glad Haru and Shizuku are finally talking, and that the fight wasn't dragged more than necessary.
My favorite volume so far.

I love the genuine side of Yamaken. Oh, just what a waste they would look so good together! Maybe in another life! It's just that Shizuku and Haru needed each other more. I love the character developments here, so much has changed, and I kinda agree with sensei on the fact that it's taken this long already but it feels like no time at all. The characters just grow on you that you just continue to digest everything as naturally as breathing.
Huh, I guess I'm ready for the penultimate volume now. I will really miss this.

I feel so relieved with everything after reading this volume. The volume before this was really hard to go through because of the misunderstandings. I wished that the characters would communicate instead of avoiding each other. The best thing to do in an issue with friends is to confront the person, and I understand why it is hard because I can't do that myself. I have trouble talking to the person that I have a problem with, which made the last volume very easy to relate to. This aspect of the series made it very realistic.

Shizuku aka studybug keeps her studies as her first priority. Haru is a guy who got suspended on the first day of school because of a fight and never went back. Shizuku's job is to convince Haru to come back to school while delivering his homework and school supplies. After these two met each other, they feel comfortable and more confident. While Shizuku's social life was improving, Haru's was as well. They both learned new things but feel confused about their feelings for each other.
Shizuku reacted the way I usually would when there is a problem with another person. I usually regret avoiding the person or I would try to talk to them, but I would give up when I am about to talk to that person. I don't blame Shizuku because she is so easy to relate to. Haru did the same thing as Shizuku and I don't blame him as well. But I am happy that things are alright now and that they have everything figured out. Natsume and Sasayan are sweet and take care of each other and I hope everything goes well between them. Yamaken is a great character, he cares for Shizuku but knows his boundaries, even though he crossed a few in this volume. Iyo isn't an awesome character but she isn't horrible either.
I hope there are more fun moments with Nagoya.
I love when this series is filled with happiness but it makes it so much more realistic with misunderstandings. This manga just keeps getting better and better and I am enjoying it. I am almost finished this series and I am so surprised. I hope that this series has a satisfying ending that I am happy with.
I recommend this series to everyone, it is super fun and easy to relate to!

4.5 stars. We are getting closer and closer to the end of this manga! :(
Last volume Haru and Shizu had an argument, and Haru disappeared. This volume continues on that, and also on the consequences, on the feelings of others. Because even though it is about Haru and Shizu, all their friends are affected as well. They all miss him, they all want him back. The manga also shows that while Haru might not think so, he does have a whole lot of people who care about him (clubs, classmates, schoolmates and more). It was amazing. I don’t think Haru could have thought he would have so many people caring about him back when the manga started.
And Haru isn’t the only one changing. Shizu is still changing as well. She is starting to open up more, she is starting to understand her feelings, knowing that while Haru frustrates her, it is a good thing, she loves him. She wants to be with him. She is hurt, and confused in this manga. Luckily, Shizu has friends and they do anything to help her out. Talk to her.
I have to say I love Shizu more and more with each volume. She is really starting to become more and more human, and less robot/emotionless study monster.
This manga also delves deeper in the Yamaken x Shizu part. I am really happy with how it was handled, it is good for both of them with how it ended. (If you want to know how it ended, well you will have to read the manga. :))
I laughed out loud during the time that Natsumi, Haru, Sasayan were stalking Shizu and Yamaken.
The art is really gorgeous at times, there are several panels that were just beautiful and brought out the characters features. But then at other times, it was back to chibified/deformed characters and weird expressions. But I am OK with that, it makes the manga what it is. A fun, happy, good manga, that is comedy, yet also touches real life subjects.
All in all, I am sad that this manga will soon be over. I would really recommend it to everyone.

I love this series, but the constant strife between Haru and Mitsuru is starting to wear thin. They always seem to be arguing about *something* and while it's realistic to read about a relationship that isn't perfect, it is starting to feel like it's forced into the narrative to create drama/tension. Honestly, I prefer her with Yamaken (who's so cute omg. I'm usually annoyed at the "asshole with a heart of gold" trope but he's a perfect example of it being done WELL).
The strengths of the characters outside of Haru x Mitsuru is great and makes up for my complaints above. Natsu is adorable and her fervent (platonic) love for her friends is soo cute. There was a scene in this volume where Mitsuru tells Natsu that she's glad to have her as a friend and Natsu's reaction was so precious and uugghh #myfeelings.
Only 2 more volumes to go! Hopefully .

My heart aches. I feel sad but happy for Yamaken and Shizuku, and even Haru because they are all good characters. I couldn't help but get teary for Yamaken when he expressed his love for Shizuku, despite knowing that would be rejected. He had the courage to put his heart on the line, and I love him for it.
Of course I feel happy for Shizuku and Haru, but I've always loved their honest dynamic. It was a little frustrating in the beginning because I feel that they were only going back and forth, but now (and in the preivous volume) feeling all that tension between them- it was unsettling. Hopefully in the last few volumes it won't be too explosive, but I feel sad to see the story come to an end (I felt exactly the same when reading the last volumes of Special A) :'(

Después de tantos volumenes por fin los protagonistas están avanzando, hablando de lo que realmente sienten por más que sepan que serán heridos. Creo que estos 4 capítulos fueron casi perfectos, cada uno a su manera, ¿y qué decir de Yamaken? Creo que como personaje hasta me gusta más que Haru en ocasiones, me gustaría ver más de él pero ya faltan pocos volumenes para terminar la historia así que no creo que pase.
En definitiva fue un excelente tomo y hasta el color de la portada me parece hermoso jaja

Natsume is the best girl ever and her development is noteworthy.
It bothers me a little bit that Haru and Mitty wasted so much time avoiding each other but I think they realized that communication is important for relashionships in general.
Also, Yamaken was brave enogh to do what he did, mad respect for him.

I devoured this series in 2 days. It's 13 volume's and it's the cute love story between Mizutani and Haru. Along the way they have challenges but overcome them. They are joined by a group of friends along the way on their adventures. The story is sweet it was totally binge worthy as I read them all in a little over 48 hours.
The author has created beautiful artwork to match the adorable story. This is a perfect slice of life romance manga. With great characters it was easy to be captivated by their story. I love how the series ended and highly recommend if you enjoy manga.

This volume felt like the final piece falling into place, all the build up through the previous volume come to ahead and it seems like its all settled in some way.
I'm wondering how the next two volumes will continue from here, hopefully there will be some sort of conclusion to the natsume & sasayan developments

Me encanta la evolución en la amistad de Natsume y Shizuku, de ser una completa tsundere a abrirse ante una persona que se preocupa por ella, y YAMAKEEEEEEEN :( yo me quedo con los dos, hehe.

The cover doesn't make sense, since Yuzun isn't even in this volume. It really should've been the one to feature Yamaken; he and Mitty finally talk things out and have some good realization. I'm glad he was able to say how he felt, and even to specifically tell Mitty what it is that he likes about her. I liked that Mitty told him what she likes about him in turn; he makes her feel comfortable and able to fully be herself at all times.
Unfortunately, that's a friendship vibe for her; Haru makes her feel weird and emotional and unsettled and ready to change the comfortable things about herself, which makes him the better romantic interest. It makes sense. Yamaken would be better on paper, but Haru makes her want to look beyond logic.
I still don't fully get the whole birthday argument, and Haru didn't talk through his side of things, either. It turns out he wasn't even away stewing for two weeks; he was just hanging out in a research lab, and had even left Mitty a voicemail that she didn't know how to check on her new phone. So was he ever really mad at her? Or was that just overblown manga dramatics to move that volume along?
The first half of Mitty's jealousy makes sense, and has been an issue with them from the start. She studies and works so hard, and everything is completely effortless for casual genius Haru. That's something Haru's brother has struggled with as well. But the family side, the being accepted bit? Nah, that still doesn't work at all because Haru's family is horrible?
Mitty's mom is still this weird faceless figure, and I want to know what she was doing at that party and why she showed up on the page if nothing was going to come of it. But her dad is kind and caring, if a little useless (the type of man she never wants to date), and she and her brother get along super well. So what is it that she's jealous about with Haru?
I guess that she's been fighting so hard to fit into the perfect daughter mold that will make her mother accept her, while Haru is actively rejecting the perfect son mold that would've made his father keep him in the family.
It's just too nuanced to be black and white jealous of, and some of that is missing here.
Overall a good volume, though, with things getting back on track after some good talks.

No puedo creer que nos estemos acercando más al final de esta hermosa historia.
Al fin después de que no supimos que pasó con Haru en el otro libro, aquí se resuelve ese enigma y vemos como algunos aún tienen esperanza en el amor y otros lo han aceptado, este libro me gustó pero no capte mucho que fuera el penúltimo porque el número 13 es más un extra. No me creo que al fin sabré el final de este manga.
Solo debo decir que una persona te gusta siempre es bueno decirle aunque al final seas rechazado, eso no impide que conociste a alguien y aunque muchos no crean que puedas ser su amigo, el intentarlo es bueno, además de que perder a una persona porque no puede corresponderte, muchas veces te perderás de ver su crecimiento y su forma de ser. De verla aún proseguir su vida al igual de la tuya, no te amará pero tendrás una amistad de por vida y puede que te ayude a crecer como persona o incluso te ayuda a encontrar a tu nuevo amor o no.
Esta historia me va a dejar con un vacío cuando termine...
Buenas lecturas les deseo.

March 9, 2026No fue suficiente con una confesión y un rechazo, ahora de nuevo hay una confesión por parte de Yamaken y otro rechazo por parte de Shizuku. Es injusto que me hayan hecho esto DOS VECES. Lo admito, Yamaken me gusta más que Haru, y me gustaría que fuera el protagonista, pero está bien. Él es para mí en mi mundo imaginario. No quiere decir que no me guste el Shizuku × Haru, porque LOS ADORO, pero sí, no me agrada esa sensación agridulce que le dan Yamaken en esta situación; él es tan increíble que lo toma con humor, a pesar de que le duele, hasta le pide ser amigos... Aaahhh, ¡¡¡Yamaken, siempre serás recordado y adorado por mí!!!

I feel like a very prevalent pattern that I’ve been seeing in this manga is that after I finish every volume and I am simply 🥺🥰♥️💚💙🧡❤️💜🤍💖💛✨ I say aHhhh that was my favorite volume! And then I read the next volume and the pattern continues 😅

el tomo más emotivo que he leído hasta ahora, el cariño que le tengo a Yamaken es intenso y poco a poco me di cuenta lo mucho que me identifico con él, los personajes y sus transfondos por fin están siendo completamente explicados y eso me alegra mucho, no estoy lista para terminar esta gran historia.

Przerywam tę serię. Nie chce mi się tego czytać. Manga miała cień potencjału, ale okazała się nudna i wtórna. Romans był nijaki, oboje najpierw mówią, że kochają drugą osobę, a potem nagle stwierdzają, że jednak nie.
To nie jest najgorsza manga, jaką widziałam. Ale nie widzę sensu w czytaniu jej dalej, skoro tak bardzo mnie nie rusza.

So Shizuku and Haru made up, he WANTS to know how she feels which is what she wanted. And it made her happy when he asked. And he left her a voice mail saying he was going away, she is just behind the times and didn't know it was there 🤦♀️

Después de la fiesta de Yuzan, Haru desapareció por dos semanas y cuando por fin se reencuentra con Shizuku ambos no saben cómo acercarse el uno con el otro, aunque saben que tienen que hablar y aclarar las cosas.

Me encantó, me encantó su reconciliación, su firmeza en la relación. La forma en que ambos son opuestos pero se quieren... Su relación es un reto, pero ambos les gusta arriesgarlo todo y continuar porque la recompensa vale la pena
