Oh my gosh that ending! No spoilers here, but I promise there will be many tears, laughter, joy and sadness during the reading of The Torrent. Overall 5/5 stars; the last two lines might be my favorite ending words of all time!

The Torrent is the fourth and final story in a series of books by Simone Pond that gives us her vision of the future. Each is a stand alone story but the experience is so much richer having started The City Center and continuing with each book. Sad to see the wonderful stories end but looking forward to Ms Pond's next book. I was given a copy to review.

Full disclosure: This book was given to me by the author, but it in no way affects this review.
"Never say never."
In this last book in The New Agenda YA dystopian series, there are finally answers to questions left from the previous books. Ava is battling Morray from inside the mainframe. Grace, her daughter, is battling those Insiders in power at Seattle's City Center with the help of Outsiders.
When the torrent is released, both may be caught in it and forever silenced. To understand what the torrent is (no spoilers here), this is a must-read, but read them in the order written. Otherwise, much will be lost in translation (read: code). Who lives? Who dies? What is the ultimate outcome for the cast of characters that include Joseph, Grace, Ava, Morray, and Dickson?
The whole series is a well-written different take on a dystopian society. Moving this series into three centuries forward, this society produces designer babies and evil rulers, who wish to live forever.

Last book?
I mostly enjoyed books 1, 1.5, and 2, but this one was a huge disappointment. Grace made stupid, irrational decisions that caused many unnecessary death and injuries, and Ava was annoying and ridiculously stubborn. The denouement was almost an afterthought, and then it just basically ended. If this was the last in the series, it was a crap ending for a series that started off fairly strong. If there is another book coming, I won’t read it after the hot mess that this book was. I’m irritated I spent my time reading it.

original review @ JC's Book Haven.
“This place feels so real. Even more today than yesterday,” she said.
“There is no today. There was no yesterday.” “Nothing but this moment, and this moment is nothing.” Morray laughed. “Don’t be so dramatic.”
“It’s hard not to be. I keep missing out on my life, and the common denominator is always you,” she spat.
The Good
So I really enjoy this series. Each book in the series has felt new to me, while each book fits perfectly into the series itself. Ava and her Daughter work really well as mother and daughter. You can feel their connection and yet at the same time see why they argue so much. This time we get a plenty of reasons to still hate Morray while at the same time learn to despise two new individuals. I love how this book shows the way some people will cling to what they know even if it's horrible, while just as many people are will to strive for something better even if it's the unknown.
The Bad
The ending of this one was pretty abrupt. It has an in your face ending with plenty of twist's along the way. But it's like BAM possible end to one problem and that's a wrap. Another thing that bug's me is this is the last book in the series.
The Romance
Can Morray finally get the girl? Will Grace get to raise baby she took with Lucas? Can Ava make it back to Joseph? All this and more are waiting for you in The Torrent.
Conclusion
A little sad to come to the end of a series I truly enjoyed. But at least I got a few answer's I've wanted for a while. I love how Simone wrapped this one up while leaving just enough out there for you to decide what's next. I'll miss the wonderful characters except when I have the chance to refer this series to friends and fellow sci-fi fans.

I can't forget the highlight of the story which when Grace, caught from hiding with Christian for dew months. Starts from there, every single chapter mattered to me.
I can't imagine the city with so much made by technology, even people can be manipulated by a system and by one person.
The time when Grace was imprisoned, and the way she think on how to fight back in the most proper way I love every move and actions she made.
I am not sure, what really happened to Grace after saving her mother for being imprisoned for few months through technology. The best part of saving her mother is one of it's highlight too.
When Ava came back for in comma physically, even the situation is really that bad knowing her husband is gone as well as her beloved daughter who saved her to be free again every single scene is really a good one explaining how things going and learning the root of the issue when they find a chip in someone's dead body. That single thing changed everything in a snap.
Thank you for sharing you good book. Hope to get more of your published books.

I have got to say, this final book may be the best book in the series. How Pond seamlessly writes her characters and the ebb and flow of the plot is simply astounding. You find redeeming qualities even among the villains of this book. There was tragedy, love, dystopia, and more. Pond was able to integrate things and people from previous books flawlessly. Minor characters from the first book turned into major characters in this book. I am really astounded by how quickly the book progressed from one plot point to another. I liked that there were more perspectives aside from Ava and Grace. It was nice seeing through the eyes of Faraday - that bastard! - and Cari. I am going to be recommending this book series to everyone I know. I am flabbergasted that this book series isn't more popular! This is right up there with The Hunger Games trilogy and Divergent trilogy! I am anxious to read more by Pond, as she has a beautiful writing style that draws the readers in.

Definitely the weakest of the four books, it felt rushed, but over all was a good ending to the over all story.
The book's chapters alternate between Ava (being stuck in the mainframe with Morray) and Grace (working in the nursery and running away with one of the babies). At first it is slow going with Grace's story being more interesting, but then Ava gets more interesting as Grace's time with the natives gets highly glossed over in an attempt to move the story along. This glossing over results in two-dimensional, stereotypical natives.
Even with the glossing over, Grace's story line starts to stagnate, but Ava's gets interesting as she has to outsmart Morray.
I think this was two to three books worth of story crammed into one and it shows.
The only real reason to read the book is to finish the series and I'm glad I did because it was a good story, it just needed to be longer.

A fitting end to an amazing series. Grace matures nto an impressive fighter and proves she possesses more valour and courage than both her parents. Ava is confronted with her own Sophie's choice in order to safeguard the future of humanity and preserve the precarious balance in the relations between the Insiders, Outsiders and Natives. I must confess I was on the fence on this one until I reached the ending. The ending more than made up for all the bits that didn't hit the spot! The first half didn't grab me but halfway through the pace picked up and I was hooked. Simone Pond is a wonderful author to have discovered and I now look forward to reading the Voices of the Apocalypse.

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.I loved this book. The story of Ava's struggle with Morray continues.Simone Pond is really talented at delivering well developed characters and world building. This final installment in the series ties up loose ends and reveals more about certain charactrerrs. The author ends the story with an uncertainty to the fate of one of the characters.Leaving the reader to decide the outcome.I have thoroughly enjoyed this' series and will miss Ava.

The Torrent continues the fight between the Strader family and Morray. With Ava stuck within the time frame and Grace on the run, shutting down Morray and Dickson is proving to be difficult. Grace makes some unfortunate decisions that set current government leaders on a path to terminate her to fulfill their agendas. As they fight against the clock, every side experiences loss.
This is a good finale to the New Agenda series. There are definitely lots of twists. It's not the best series I've ever read, but it's fun.

I have been eagerly anticipating the 4th and final book of The New Agenda series and it was definitely worth the wait! I stayed up well past my bedtime one night just so I could see how it would end. I truly couldn't put it down and that is always the sign of a great book. I've loved this series from the very beginning and I'm sad that it's over! I can't wait to see what else Simone Pond has up her sleeve.

The fourth is the series of The New Agenda was wonderful. Made me want to go back and read them in order again! You can read any of the books independently but it's better to develop a relationship with the characters through time. Without being a spoiler I loved the end. If you enjoy day topi genre, this series is a must read!

What a wonderfully written ending to this series! Extensive development makes each character so complex. Everyone has their own angle on the situation at hand, along with their internal and external struggle. So fun to read, and so sad that it's ended. Looking forward to more from this author!

I give it 3.5 out of 5 stars . I just didn't like it as much as the others it was kind of boring . Maybe because I am reading Harry Potter with it at the same time . I didn't like the end . I don't know .

The best in the series so far, the way the threads of all the varying storylines come together, with such a finale, brilliant. What is going to happen in the next book I can not even imagine!

I loved the first 3 books but I really didn't like this one. I was really disappointed.
