The heroine(s): Faith - she just finished college and drives to an island in the pacific northwest to find her sister who hasn’t been returning her calls lately. While driving in the fog, she hits an animal, when she gets out of her car, she is attacked by a wolf.

The Hero: Damien - a wolf shifter and a player. Damien knew from the start that Faith is his mate. He has met her a few times since her sister works in his bar. He is disturbed to find out that Faith was attacked by a rogue wolf on her way to his bar.

The Story: Faith gets sick from the wolf bite and it is left to Damien to explain to her what happened. Getting bitten by a rogue wolf is different than a bite during mating and even Damien doesn’t know quite what to expect.

This was a novella, so it was a pretty quick story. Told in Dual POV, the narration was done by Angelise Rosewood. I liked her voice and enjoyed listening to her characterization. Though I do like dual narration by a male and a female narrator, this was fine since it was short.

Faith can’t reach her sister so travels to Devils Point where she is bitten by a wolf! Her sister is fine but Faith finds herself learning about werewolves and her new mate. Not what she expected for the weekend.

I love the fated mates troupe. They know it’s the perfect fit and now have to reconcile all of life’s little details. Like shifting and running on four legs instead of two. I found the differences in the two sisters wonderful and realistic. A steamy short story and a hea. A win.

read a few reviews and they all said that this was instalove. I am not sure wtf book they were reading but it wasn't this one. H/h have known each other awhile. H doesn't want her because she is innocent and blah blah insert manwhore I would stick my dick in a tree if it was warm trope here.

Obviously this story line doesn't work for me in a fated romance book mostly because.... I want instalove!!! hello fated romance! who the hell reads fated mates books to read about a H that doesn't think his mate is good enough? If you do go into that storyline at least make him celibate!!

Anyways shit goes down, he alpha he roars suddenly she is good enough for him. btw I only got to 36%.

I feel I'm being generous giving this one 2 stars. It was just a really bland shifter romance. lacked any depth or foundation. throw in a plot where nothing of importance occurs and this is what you get. the sex was pretty steamy but that was it. insta-Iove and a really lame and overly predictable storyline and characters. was just missing something. very blah read for me and not a series I'd continue or a book I'd recommend.

This is a shifter's romance and I should have liked it since I usually love this kind of stories.
There is an isolated island with a strip club, Faith is a protective sister looking for her rebel sister. There is some pointless love happening and an programmed mating.
I wish I could find the story more interesting, but even the sex scenes were boring...

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!

The cover is awesome, so between that and that it is written by Eliza, I bought it :)

This is the first book in this series, and it is novella length. It is a quick read and for adults only due to the steamy content. I recommend checking out the other authors who are participating in the Mating Season too (there are 5 more series in the Mating Season group)!!!

This book had the perfect amount of action, mystery, and drama. It grabbed my attention and didn’t let go :) Faith is strong, but skittish or very leery. Damien is an enigma to Faith. Their story is exciting and sweet all at the same time. I loved reading it and just felt happy reading it. I can’t wait to read more of this series and to check out the other authors I haven’t read yet :)

I highly recommend this to all the wolf shifter lovers that are out there because you will definitely find something to enjoy :)

Faith is coming after her sister. Her twin sister. And she hits something with her car.
When she gets out, she's hunt down and bit by a big wolf. She gets free and go's to the workspot of her sister Rebel. There she sees not her Sister but Damien.

Its a hot, short novella with a beginning, middle and end. Loved the read.

It was pretty good. There wasn't a lot to it, but it was a fine entertaining read.

I really liked the premise. I liked that Faith's personality was so strong. She was determined to make sure her sister was okay, even after being bitten by a wolf.

Damian was also good, but we didn't get to see as much as his personality because he was in problem solving mode the whole time.

I wish that it had been longer. I wish that their relationship had a bit more time to develop. It was a bit fast Faith going from 'No, me and my sister are leaving' to 'We will be together forever' but I understand it had to since it was so short.

When I give this one star what I really mean is it deserves zero. First of all I didn't realize how short this book was so when I finished it, all I thought was "That's it?!?!". Seriously there is no story line to this book she could have done so much more. This entire book was just female gets bitten by a rogue wolf and then finds her mate and has sex with him... that's the whole damn book. They could've had a plot but nope. Honestly I wish I didn't read this book I thought it was going to be so much more. Like they mention the rogue wolf coming back for the female character so I was like ooooooh maybe some kidnapping or fighting over the female but nope the rogue wolf is all forgotten about. Very disappointed that this book was such a waste of time to read because it had zero plot.

Not bad for a beginning but it was too short and everything happened either too fast and all at once or too slow so nothing truly happened. Not to mention a lot didn't get explained. Faith never turned into a Werewolf and the Rouge escaped and the reader never gets to know what happened to him or why he really wanted to bite Faith. Even though it was wildly entertaining it wasn't really satisfying.

What a wonderful short story. Faiths life changes when she goes in search of her sister Rebel. Damien is attracted to Faith but keeps his distance because she is human. When they both give into their attraction, the hotness begins. This book is action packed and has some panty melting scenes. This is a recommended read for shifter lovers.

Plot: Faith is looking for her twin sister, so she goes to the island and the club where she's been working. She finds her sister's boss, Damien, who has been trying to stay away from Faith. He knows she's his fated mate but he also thinks that she's the opposite of the kind of woman he wants. However, there comes a point where he can't stay away from her, and when she's bitten, he'll take care of her.

Commentary: I actually liked this one. It was better edited than the last one I read from this author. The shorter format seemed to suit the story as well. Fait was a little uptight, Damien was a little too loose, and so they complemented each other. He was sweet once he stopped acting like Faith wasn't the right kind of woman.

Damien, a wolf shifter just wanted to get through mating season until Faith, his fated mate is hurt and he comes to the rescue. This is the start of a series about his pack and although Faith and Damien seem to have found each other the rest of the issues in the story are left up in the air.

Born to be wild

This author really knows how to make a story unforgettable. Her characters are amazing and full of their own brand of spicy, and the story just drags you in. I would have loved if it was a little longer so we could have really watched the love story unfold, but once the wolf accepts its mate what can you do. This book was the perfect weekend read and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

Quick and to the point. Although I don't like mating books where it takes 300 pages for the mates to finally get together, this one was a little bit to insta-love. With only 78 pages, there was not a lot of room for much to happen. One moment, the FMC is freaking out, OMG shifters are real, and one is mated to me! The next, she is all in. The end.

Things happen fast in this book. But then it is only like sixty some pages long. So things need to happen fast.

Faith is more worried about her twin than the fact she's been bitten by a wolf. Damien is doing everything in his power to fight the mating season pull. He wants nothing more than to take his mate to bed and keep her there.

I love the characters. Both are strong-willed and stubborn. Yet, they both are caring, giving people. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more of this series.

Faith heads to Devil's Point, an island off of Washington, to go check on her sister, Rebel, who isn't answering her phone. On the way across the bridge, Faith thinks she has hit an animal. She gets out to check and is bitten by a wolf. She goes to the bar where her sister works, but she isn't there. Her sister's boss, Damien, is though. She has always liked Damien, well, thought he was a hottie anyway. She just never thought that anything would happen between them.

Damien can smell the rogue wolf on Faith as soon as she walks in the bar. He needs to get her out of there, as it is Mating Season, and there are too many other male were's around her. Damien knows that Faith is his true mate, but has always stayed away from her when ever she came around. He felt she didn't belong on the island. She needed to live in the city. Then she was bitten and that was a game changer. With the possibility that she might change, even without the mating bond, he knows he needs to be honest with her. Her sister is freaking out after finding out about werewolfs, will he be able to keep Faith with him or will she run for the city?

I actually listened to the audio version of this book though I do own the ebook. This is a very short novella about a girl who makes a trip over to a mysterious island to check on her sister and ends up having her life changed forever when she is bitten by a wolf. Insta-love at its finest.

Faith Harris has left the safety of Tacoma to drive out to Devil's Island over the super foggy bridge to find her twin sister Rebel. Rebel is a stripper at Club Diablo and hasn't returned any of Faith's calls. Faith has taken responsibility for her sister since their parents died 4 years ago.
The bridge is wet and she skids and hits a wolf. She get out of the car to check on it and it comes after her she runs for the woods and it knocks her down and bites her wrist and won't let go until a shot comes from somewhere.
Damian, with his brothers Dante and Diego own the bar. It is mating season and the new moon, so sexy men are dancing tonight, to attract women to the island. When Faith shows up Damien is feeling lust and disgust with himself, she is innocent. Diego found her in the lot and she told him she got bitten by a wolf. Damien doesn't recognize the scent, so he figures rogue wolf. All Faith wants is her sister and Damien volunteers to take her to her sister's motel room. She is super drunk and tells her sister it isn't safe the werewolves are everywhere. Damien shuts Faith's mouth with the hottest kiss she has ever had, then tells her she has been bitten by a wolf shifter and she has to go with him somewhere safe, because it is looking for her. she has been bitten but not mated and may or may not turn into a wolf.
Faith screams in pain holding her bitten are and telling Damien her whole body feels on fire, and then starts hurling her guts up.
Damien brings them to his house and spends the night with Faith in his bed, he was keeping her warm after her fever broke. She wakes up and gasps at him when she moves and her undies hit his morning wood. He laughs and starts licking her neck, it was torture in bed with her all night. He could smell her arousal getting stronger as she fights to get away from him. If he doesn't claim her soon, someone else from the pack will.
When she finds out her sister went out to help hunt down the wolf that bit her, she screams so loud it is killing Damien's ears. He has to shift into his wolf eyes for her to understand what is going on.
He tells her the difference between sex and finding a mate, which binds the two body and soul for life. Faith doesn't like being told she has to stay on the island, become part of the pack, and find a mate.
Damien tells her how badly he has always wanted her and his wolf says she is his mate. She admits she had some wet dream about him 3 nights ago, the start of mating season. They take each other as mates, because Faith wants to. Rebel shot the rogue who bit her sister, but he escaped and got captured by hunters.
Rebel is pissed that her sister mated Damien, especially since Dante wants Rebel to be his mate and has been chasing her since she moved to the Island.

Been itching for a werewolf book for a little bit and then I seen this freebie on Amazon so I decided to give a try.

Faith is on the cusp of having it all. She made it through her exams and is looking forward to her promising career. However, her sister has not gotten back to her in 3 days so she is forced to track her down and drive to Devils Point and find her. In the middle of looking for her, she comes across a wolf that attacks her. Damien just wants to get through Mating Season and get back to normal business. He has a business to run! And to top it all off his supposed mate, Faith, shows up smelling another wolf. Now he has to protect and try to claim her as his own before another wolf does.

This was short and sweet. Finished it in a couple of sittings. No real huge drama accept for the fact that Faith is introduced into the wolf world of course and she has to make a decision if she wants to be Damien's mate or not. WHICH I really approve of the whole consent thing. Sure she is supposed to be his mate...but she can totally opt out if she wants. Sure Alpha Damien convinces her that now she was bitten and his mate she should stay and it would be safer that way....but it was still her choice overall. I like that aspect a lot.

I will say I HATE their names. Faith and Rebel? Twins? Faith is the good one and Rebel...is well...the rebel and does what she wants? Okay. >_<

Faith was okay...she was annoyingly perfect though. I think she took all the reveals too easily.

Can I just say I do not like Rebel? She is a snot. Poor Faith having to deal with her. Poor Rebel's future mate (her story is book 2). SMH. Such a rude person. I really do not want to read book 2 because of her. Maybe she'll get better?

Damien was sweet. He was alpha but not over-the-top which was nice and refreshing for this genre.

Overall...this was short and sweet. Some refreshing aspects like the Alpha not being over-the-top and there was consent with this whole mate thing. I'll give this 3 stars.

Short Novella with Basic Plot

Faith heads out to the Devils Point island to find her twin sister, Rebel, because she isn't answering her calls,and she finds herself exposed to a world of wolf shifters.

The writing wasn't terrible, but the story was pretty basic... and to short to be a novel. Book 1 seems to be the story of Faith falling for Damien, the Alpha and owner of the local strip club-- where werewolves go to blow off steam... especially during mating season. It's such a short novella I read it in under 4 hours... and that was including familial interruptions. Too short. It was like the whole purpose was for Faith to "do something crazy" (and out of character) because she has this weird feeling she should shack up with Damien after suddenly finding out werewolves exist. That was the plot. The whole plot-- and the other plot point was completely stuffed into one paragraph because developing that plot point would have made the book semi-interesting and longer.

I was disappointed by the brevity, and the lack of character development and lack of plot. The storytelling had a lot of potential, even if Faith seemed super accepting of her situation...

But, was it entertaining? Meh. I suppose. I just wish the story had been more fleshed out. It fell a little flat.... but for a free or 99-cent book, it's worth a once-over... but don't blink when you read or you'll miss it.

Loved this

Brilliant thoroughly enjoyed this can’t wait to read the next one. Faith has gone to find her twin sister Rebel she hadn’t been answering her calls so she is on her way to devils point. Faith doesn’t like this area but as she goes over the bridge something runs in front of her Faith gets out to check but nothing as she makes her way back to the drivers door she hears something behind her a great big wolf that ends up biting her. Damien has wanted Faith for a long time and thought her living in the city would be far enough away but she has to come looking for her sister in mating season and gets herself bitten by a rogue wolf. Damien finds it difficult to be with Faith but has to look after her will she agree to be mated with him as she is his true mate.

Well if you want a really fast read with some average smut and you have a thing for shifters this is a book for you. Pretty sure this took me less than an hour to read. There was no relationship development or character development. In one part I feel there should have been more discussion and inner turmoil from the FMC but she basically just rolled over and agreed like it was nothing? It felt rushed and it also feels incomplete forcing you to have to read the next book in this series. The problem of the rogue arises and basically starts the story but it is barely discussed and not resolved in this book. Overall I feel very disappointed by this book. I personally won’t be continuing the series.

4.5 stars for this great first book in the Devils Point Wolves series. It is only a novella and so I read it in just over an hour, but i enjoyed it so much I went on to read the rest of the books in this series the same evening.

Shapeshifter books tend to be very bad or very good and this is definitely one of the good ones, Faith and Damien are great characters who have this fantastic love/hate/mate/bond thing going on, which allows you a great insight into their characters and personalities. These lead to great scenes and fireworks as they both fight their desires and needs, with a huge amount of doubt and will they/won't they going on.
