Mia is a lynx with a secret girlfriend that her parents and other lynxes must never find out about. All her life Mia has been taught that lynxes can't be friends with other animals, until she falls in love with a wolf! What happens when Mia and her girlfriend get caught by Mia's controlling parents? Can the lynx and the wolf girl ever be together?
Part of the Goldwood Chronicles comics series, Mia the Lynx is a romantic drama about a forbidden love, facing up to prejudice and making a difficult life decision.
This is a cute little comic about a Lynx and a Wolf that happen to fall for each other, much to the disapproval of Lynx Mia's family. The objection made is more that the Lynx and Wolf are different species rather than that both are female...
It's a short graphic, G-rated story about love and being true to oneself.
This could be a story to represent any two people that come from a different background that love each other despite prejudices (rich vs poor, different ethnicities, same sexes, blue vs red state, etc).
I'd say it's a pretty tame way to introduce a "love is blind" concept or same-sex relationship to kids in a story format...or, you know, in the case where a kid may actually have same-sex attraction it's positive to see role models reflected back.
"Mia the Lynx" is a simple story and the art work is pretty good. It's free on kindle right now so there's no reason not to check it out.
Nice graphic story, drawings large and simplistic but easy to follow and words large and easy to follow. The important part was the message and that was wonderful
Mia is a lynx and her girlfriend is a wolf. Mia's parents are upset when they found out Mia has not-lynx friends. So they had to fight to be together and for their relationship being accepted.
It is a children story, very sweet and funny, with talking animals and yes, f/f relationships. I really enjoyed the story, I think it incorporates very well in this fantasy world the real struggle of the lgbtqapi+ community. It is a perfect story for comics and right it's free on amazon! I'm excited to check out the other books of the series that follow different characters.
