In what detention block was Princess Leia held? What was the diameter of the Death Star? Who retrieved C-3P0's head in the Battle of Geonosis? These questions and more will challenge even the most die-hard Star Wars® fans. Now available in paperback, this bestselling trivia book of 2,500 original questions covering little-known facts, entertaining quotes, and tough trivia from Star Wars® Episodes I–VI is the ultimate test for the true Star Wars® devotee.
This one is maybe TOO awesome. Now I am obsessed with this stupid book. I WILL learn how many nosehairs Jawas have. I WILL learn about the time Chewbacca's cousin's uncle's roomate's entire bridge club caught the Wookiee mange. Must... get... some... sleep...
Some really obscure trivia questions, but it was fun guessing at them. True Star Wars fans will enjoy this, but not people who aren't die hard Fanboys.
This is a fantastic trivia book that offers 2,500 questions over the entire time-span from Episode I to Return of the Jedi, including Expanded Universe questions. Each page offers one “story question” complete with a picture, while the rest are simple one-line questions ranging in difficulty from “What color is Mace Windu’s lightsaber?” to “How many arms do female Besalisks have?” All answers are multiple-choice. Gameplay is facilitated by a digital box attached to the back cover; it has a simple interface with an on/off button and four answer buttons. You may choose Question Select mode, where you can, with some effort, play through all the questions numerically, or summon a question of your choice. The default mode is Random Question, however, where the computer will ask you a completely randomized question (which means it will repeat itself). After you make your choice, it will either display “CORRECT” or “INCORRECT,” with the correct answer. It will keep track of your score, both by percentage and by total correct answers out of total questions answered.
If you can believe it, without cheating (i.e., looking up the answer), I average around the 75% correct range. These questions are not for virgin Star Warriors, let me tell you! The book is divided into six sections, one for each film, but EU material from each movie’s time frame is included. For example, under Episode I, questions about Jude Watson’s “Jedi Apprentice” series are included. Novels such as Shadows of the Empire and the Bounty Hunter War trilogy are also included, but nothing later than ROTJ is offered.
Unless one considers the relative difficulty of many of these questions as a drawback, the book’s only real problem is that the answers are only included in the digital device. The good news is that its batteries are replaceable–standard watch-batteries. In short, this is a great book and a great resource. It’s fun and challenging, and I can tell you from personal experience that it can make a four-hour car ride go by in about 20 minutes. It has a good sturdy hardback binding, too, and should survive vigorous pawing.
As a Star Wars nerd, trivia is often a sad attempt by other people to outsmart me by asking me what the Wookiee planet is called. They often cry when confronted with my encyclopedic knowledge. This book, however, is incredible. It has 2500 questions, largely based on the six movies, but there is a large number of expanded universe questions - all based around the movies. There are no questions that reach beyond the characters seen onscreen, even if the questions are about off-screen acts. I scored a 63% - my downfall was the plant an animal life. I did all 2500 questions in two days.
Awesome trivia book. I consider myself extremely knowledgeable about Star Wars, but the best I've gotten over 100 totally random questions (from movie stuff to some incredibly minute expanded universe stuff) is 76%. The randomizer on the little computer could be better so you don't get repeat questions in any one session, but still, this is the best way I've seen so far to test yourself on all things Star Wars.
Ok, first thing, if you call me a nerd fo rreadin this....... you suck. Any way, this is basicly a trivia bokk with a whole bunch of impossible questions. Pretty cool. It has over 16000 questions in it.
A great way to pass time during a road trip, with the 2,500 questions ranging from something a first-time watcher could answer to things that stump even the biggest of fans. Yet it never becomes frustrating, unlike I find Star Wars Trivial Pursuit can. Definitely recommended!
This is a fun book for Star Wars fans. It has a lot of obscure facts that even big Star Wars geeks like me may not know. I have to study up on it for any trivia contests at Star Wars Celebration VI this August in Orlando.
This book was a birthday present from one of my very good friends. And since I got it I can't go one day without picking it up. I've even woken up in the middle of the night yelling the answer to one of the question. Strange dream don't ask
