Tribute #3

Triumph

Rate this book
Rehz Akran has had enough of the Tribute program and its sadistic overseer, Palk. When Palk captures Rehz’s mate, Anna Lee, and offers her and Aled Price to the Ungrich for further research, Rehz is ready for rebellion. But first, with the help of Kai Mexr — who wants Aled back just as much as Rehz wants Anna — he must break into the Ungrich world, rescue Anna, and discover why they want her so badly.

The chilling answer to that question lies in Anna’s forgotten origins — origins that Aled shares. To save their lovers, Rehz and Kai must take on Palk and a government that is more than willing to sacrifice Anna and Aled to keep the peace.

The two couples join forces — in more ways than one — and together they discover that they may be capable of defeating two civilizations and changing the course of Mitan history forever.

Reader discretion advised. This title contains the following sensitive themes: Dubious Consent, Non-Consent, Explicit Violence, Heavy Kink

Rehz and Kai are on a mission: save the ones taken from them no matter the price. They both would gladly pay in suffering and even with their death to rescue the ones they love.

As with the previous two books, these are short reads, 123 pages, so keeping this review spoiler free is hard to do! What you will get is a wicked determination, sexually charged domination, and a surprisingly emotional and sweet revelation.

If you are a fan of the darker erotica read, with a sci-fi paranormal twist, the Tribute Series is a must read.

4.5 STARS!
Tanja~

Book three of the Tribute series sees Anna Lee and Aled thrown back into Ungrich space and held captive while the Ungrich exploit them both for their own ends.

Meanwhile Rehz and Kai manage to make a way into Ungrich space to rescue Anna and Aled. This involves deception, masquerade and lots of sex: group sex, ménage sex and sex with alien observers etc. After a while it became a bit tedious to read so I skimmed the sex scenes. The Ungrich have their own plan and Kai, Aled, Anna and Rehz have to find a way to thwart their plans and a way to escape Ungrich space.

I think this book was interesting because the four main characters are now two established/establishing couples and they are uniting against a common enemy. The best part of the story is the interaction with the Ungrich and getting to understand what they want and how they communicate. We get to see them in much more detail and we also get to understand their experiments and aims.

And their aims are not kindly ones!

And after escape from the Ungrich comes the battles. Battles with enemies above and below the surface and I think the strength of the trilogy lies in the action and the world building. I wish it had more of these aspects. This has been a good sci-fi series and quite original but I didn't find it erotic in the least. It had lots of sex, all kinds of sex but I found it rather boring. Ooops. Still it might work for other people. Nevertheless it didn't spoil the story because half way through the story develops a different kind momentum. We get to see new characters, we see a different side to Anna and Rhez, and there is also lots of action. I think the second half of the book made this a satisfying conclusion to the trilogy.

Overall I enjoyed this series because it was different and imaginative, and I really liked the characters because they were tough and battle ready. So there was no angst or heartbreaking long drawn out emotions, just people who knew what they wanted, asked for it and got it. Tough guys and a tough gal in all kinds of ways.

I guess all in all the series would appeal to people who like their cons - dub con, non - con and any other cons. It would also appeal to people who like sci-fi and aliens, of course with lots of sex.

These books are not for those who like romantic and fluffy stories. The romance is there submerged under all the toughness, sex and aliens, but there is no fluff at all in these stories.

Not a speck!

A good series to get into if you like the above and I generally liked reading it.

Review can be read at It's About The Book

My mind may never recover from its foolish attempts to visualize the things that happen in this latest book in the Tribute series from Kate Pearce. There are creatures doing unimaginable things in a place that is even horrifying to contemplate–so why do I keep doing it? Because you just can’t help yourself when you’re reading about this Mitan world. The sexual shenanigans they get up to in the name of alien biology…

There’s a lot at stake for Rehz and Kai when they realize that their lovers are gone–sucked back into the Ungrich world, apparently with their government’s consent, or at least willingness to ignore. No one wants war with them again, so if keeping silent and letting them have two tributes is enough? M’kay.

But it’s not okay with our two guys, and their journey into the belly of the beast to reclaim their mates is harrowing to say the least.

Aled and Anna are at first surprised then horrified when they realize the purpose of their recapture. Hoping against hope that Kai and Rehz will get there in time to save them is all they’ve got…besides the never ending torture they’re being subjected to.

When they discover that Palk was behind their disappearance–and that they’re part of a terrifying plan for the Ungrich to take over the Mitan world–the two couples realize they’ve got to do more than rescue themselves…

They’ve got to stop this crazy plan.

But how?

As always with Kate Pearce’s paranormal fantasy books, I was at all times agog, entranced, closing my eyes and squeeing a little at the scary bits, and sucked in. And of course, the mind melt as I tried to contort my brain into some of her descriptions. Taken as the fantasy it was, I enjoyed this book tremendously and if you like to be stretched out of your comfort zone and into some seriously wicked fun, join me! The whole series will keep you reading straight through.

it always amazes me that when books are basically just sex you can still find yourself caring what happens to the characters. Honestly though, I enjoyed the story parts of the series well enough so I guess it's not too surprising.

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I never really thought that too much sex in a book wvould numb me out, but it did. I mean, this book is kink all the way. All kinds of kink. Dub con, non con, menage, aliens, BDSM, all the stuff you can think of is on this book. It's been this way the entire series, so I'm not really surprised anymore. I've followed this series since the first book, so I've been waiting for this conclusion since then. I actually like this series. It may have been too hardcore for me, but I enjoyed it, nonethless.

Another funny thing is that for a kink story, the best part of this sci fi romance is actually the sci fi, world domination, alien battles part. I mean, I thought that world building and storyline was very interesting. The kink that was added to the story was more on the character building. The sex (of too much of it) was actually understandable, but surprisingly, those weren't my favorite parts.

This is the kind of series where you will never find any kind of softness. If you like happy endings, all that nice love dovey stuff, if you're the leather and lace kind of person, then this isn't for you. There's no lace here. It's all leather. This isn't for the faint of heart. If you are brave, though, and like something a little different in your usual kink, the, go ahead, read and enjoy.

This book is part of a series and should be read in order.
Book #2 in the Tribute series, Retribution, ends with each of the two couples losing a partner. Book #3, Triumph, jumps right in with the search and rescue.

Now, if I am perfectly honest, this was my least favorite title in this series. I liked the fact that several loose ends were tied up, but I hated the introduction of new lovers.

The action sequences were spectacular. There were several tense moments when you really didn’t know if Rehz, Anna, Kai and Aled were going to survive the Ungrich World.

But, for me one romance moved to the next level, while the other took a step back.

As always, Kate Pearce has written a fabulous tale that is rich in imagery and oh, so, sexy!

I am definitely recommending…but, you need start at the beginning, or you will get lost quickly.

This is the third book in the Tribute series, it could be read as a stand-alone however I think it would be better enjoyed if read in order. Aled and Anna have been sent back to Ungrich by Palk the leader of the Tribute program and Rehz and Kai will do anything to get their mates back, even rebel. Lots of suspense and drama and the sex scenes are off the charts HOT. Great Read!

The third in the tribute series didn’t live up to my expectations.

I had hoped there would be much to celebrate about the conclusion of this alien/tentacle erotic trilogy but alas it left more questions than answers.

What started as a wild erotic ride in book one petered out to barely described robotic acts of thrusting, even between Anna Lee and Rehz Akran the couple from the first and best book.

The conflict escalated and resolved incredibly quickly and even the emotional turmoil that was meant to hit home was too quickly handled to land.

Still, if you like your dub-con/non-con stories based in the Sci-Fi realm you might enjoy this quick little trilogy. Easy to read, somewhat enjoyable, and something a bit different for your reading pleasure.

OK. So, this is a wild and crazy ride.
1) this is book 3...but actually part 3... all books need to be read to get the story. Which , in it's entirety, is a good story.
2). KP. is a wonderful writer that get's your heart pumping. Makes ya want to fight for love and defend it in whatever form or color it's made of.
3). Karma is a truly amazing character.
enjoy this story at your own risk.

Explicit content warning.
The end of the alien romance trilogy.
6.5/10. The first book was the best of the 3, but this is probably not most people's idea of a fun read.

Kate Pearce’s Triumph (The Tribute Series #3) may contain some triggers for people so read with caution. This is the perfect ending for this series. To get there though both couples had to go through a final challenge. Kai and Rehz had to go into Ungrich space to retrieve their mates. Anna and Aled were taken and given to the Ungrich so that they could continue with their experimentation to control the surface. After Kai and Rehz get confirmation that Anna and Aled are in Ungrich space they decide to go in and rescue them. When they get there they see that Anna and Aled are being forced to mate so that they Ungrich could keep the offspring, if there are any, so that they can further their experimentation. The two couples are kept in Ungrich space for a couple weeks and during that time they are tortured to point of barely surviving. They realize the Ungrich’s plans while there and decide that they need to do everything they can to survive and warn the people on the surface. When they do manage to escape they have to deal with the trauma of what they went through and the changes that it forced on them. Palk escaped and they still have the worry of when he is going to come after them. The danger of always being hunted by the Ungrich and the possibility that offspring were produced while being held captive are all worries that the two couples carry and must deal with as they struggle to survive. I won’t say much more because I don’t want to give away much more, but the two couple evolve and become what they need to survive and thrive. I give this book 4 stars and am completely satisfied with the way the series was ended. I am looking forward to reading this author’s other works.

Rehz Akran and Kai Mexr are happy to finally be done with the Tribute program. Everything is going as planned and they are starting to figure out their new lives until...

The Tribute programs sadistic overseer, Palk has kidnapped both of their lovers Anna Lee and Aled Price.

And so the journey begins with Rehz and Kai fighting to get back into the last place they would have ever imagined having to go, putting not just their lives at risk but their lovers and the world as they know it!

I received this book as an ARC from Net Galley for my honest review

Kate did a great job tying up a lot of loose ends in this series as well as introducing you to new characters that will hopefully continue the series.

The characters in this book are going to go through something that will put all of their relationships at risk and break down walls that many of them have surrounding their hearts. I loved how Kate Pearce wrote this book, she did not let the characters hide from their feelings, they had to step up to the plate and face a lot of their biggest fears.

Overall this book was really good. This book contains heavy kink with a lot of M/M, MF, M/M/M...lets just say that their is a lot of action going on. This book is selling right night for 2.99 on Kindle Amazon and that is a great price. Great job Kate Pearce can't wait for whatever else you have in store!

Okay ending to the series, but I didn't like either of the other two books as much as the first. They seemed shorter and not as developed? Interesting plot twist but I had to keep going back to re-read to see if I understood any better than the first time, and I'm still not 100%, but okay. Just not as invested as I was with the first book, but interesting series.

The series finale, which is more of a rescue mission and save the world story. Lots of action in this one.
