There is a prophecy forbidding Angels from ever being with Demons. Love cannot exist between the races.
The prophecy wasn't supposed to concern Dayton Blainey and Marcas Craig, a hybrid Demon ruler and a Naphil.
But there are those who believe otherwise.
Torn asunder by a fear much bigger than themselves and the threat of celestial war, Marcas and Dayton will fight for a love that never should have existed.
R.K. Ryals is the author of emotional and gripping young adult and new adult paranormal romance, contemporary romance, and fantasy. With a strong passion for charity and literacy, she works as a full time writer encouraging people to "share the love of reading one book at a time." An avid animal lover and self-proclaimed coffee-holic, R.K. Ryals was born in Jackson, Mississippi and makes her home in the Southern U.S. with her husband, her three daughters, a rescue dog named Oscar the Grouch, A Shitzsu named Tinkerbell, an OCD cat, and a coffee pot she honestly couldn't live without. Should she ever become the owner of a fire-breathing dragon (tame of course), her life would be complete.
This is the fourth and final installment of the Redemption Series. Oh the emotions so bittersweet. All of these characters bring you love to the heart, as I sit here and read this book and block out my reality I cry, I laugh, I get frustrated, I get mad, and then back to happy.. I can't even begin to explain all the emotions..one minute I am in in Daytons place going through all the trials and tribulations, the next I am heartbroken at the love and pain both Marcas and Dayton go trough, to see what each is willing to give up for the other is amazing. R.K has a way of grabbing you and putting you into the book, I love this series, along with all of R.K. stuff, but this is my favorite! I love Marcas and Dayton, of course Luther, Lucas, Emma, Connor, Monroe all have a special place in my heart but I am still a sucker for Dayton and her Dum-Dums and Marcas and his bad boy/good boy heart... Very well written keeping you engaged with all the imagery, never a dull moment and leave you wanting more. I am heartbroken that this is the end of series ( I secretly hope the characters call out to R.K and another is written ;) ) however I am also excited to read future books and see where R.K takes us!
You know when you blow a balloon and you sense you should stop at one point and still you carry on with hopes it won't blow? And then it blows in your face and leaves you a bit sore and covered in disgusting white powder?
This is exactly how I feel about this series. The plot was concluded with book 3 - every strand of plot was neatly tied together to a satisfying end. And then, for some reason, the author decided to continue. And the effect for the reader is like a ballon exploding in your face.
Pseudo- philosophy, convoluted thoughts, plot tricks used with success in the previous books but now gone flat, ridiculous issues for the main characters to have (of course they must be split apart to create tension and thus pray on the poor reader's emotions), blown-out-of-proportions plot to justify the existence of this 4th book.
I endured half a book of nonsense but now I must go wash the disgusting white powder off my face...
Told from both Dayton and Marcas' POV. Dayton is 21 years old in this book, so four years has past however the story continues with the same characters. Dayton and Marcas love is tested once again but although it was an emotional ride they do get a HEA .... thisnis a very good series of books. Recommended
I really enjoyed this entire series. The author had an interesting take on heaven, hell, angels, demons, and God. It made for some emotional reading. I could see some Christians being angered over it considering the outrage over Dan Brown's books. But like those, this was a story. A very good story that I am glad I took the time to read. Many thanks and kudos to the author.
I loved the whole series and enjoyed the story for demons and God and Satan . May be a bit too much pain but it is ok. Some slips in the time line here and there, but a lovely series non the less
I have to say this is one of my all time favorite series and to read the final book in this series was not only exciting but also a sad moment for me. Throughout the series the author has introduced some amazing characters that have found their way into my heart. I have cried with them, laughed with them, and watched them grow while facing extraordinary circumstances. Along the way they have become a part of me, so it is with a touch of sadness that I write this review. Now don't get me wrong, this book was killer. I loved every single heart wrenching second of it.
Revelation is the epic finale of not only The Redemption series, but The Thorne Trilogy and Acropolis. All my favorite characters come together to help Marcas and Dayton face the consequences of their forbidden love. Demon blood and angel blood should never be mixed and they will need the help of all their friends and allies to stop the ultimate destruction.
I have chills just thinking about this book. I cried, laughed, screamed and cried some more. My emotions were all over the place. Of course I also had a few hot flashes, but that is expected when the Craig brothers are involved. Revelation is the perfect ending (even though I never want it to end) and I know that I will be rereading these books many times. SO, if you haven't read this series, go grab a copy and be prepared for the ultimate adventure.
Revelation is the final installment in R.K. Ryals Redemption Series. She definitely saved the best for last! No wadding in shallow end. She dove right in. Expect fireworks from beginning to end. This story demands to be read in one sitting. You can’t put it down. Prepare to be bewitched by the engaging R.K. Ryals. This story is intense and high energy. It’s an emotional, tumultuous, edge of your seat, death grip on the kindle kind of read. Each chapter rotates between Marcus and Dayton’s POV so you get to see the story from both sides and in this one you want it. You need it. It adds perspective and depth to the story. Revelation brings back Conor, Monroe, Luther, Lucas and Sophia. All the players are here for this earth shattering ending. And in true Ryals fashion, there is love, heartache and sacrifice. The perfect ending to a fantastic series.
I love R.K. Ryals. Whether I am reading her paranormal romance or her southern lit, she just speaks to me. I love her strong characters and the lessons I feel I have learned from her stories. You get the sense that she puts so much of herself into her writing. I think that is one of the main ingredients that make her book so awesome. I look forward to reading more of her books.
The journey Marcas and Dayton shared as well as the love was incredible. The things they faced and overcame was enough to allow them some sort of peace, right? Wrong.
This book was emotional! Just when you see the light at the end of the tunnel and think, 'finally, I'm free!' you're pulled back kicking and screaming.
When our beloved characters are faced with a betrayal that results in the end of the world they are forced to make choices no one, not demon, angel, gargoyle, witch or man should have to.
I admire the strength and selflessness that they exhibit throughout this book. I shed many tears with them and had my heart all but crushed in the process of this read.
The growth once again astounds me. These characters have a depth that makes you feel part of them.
A story of envy, love and sacrifice. When you are part of something so big, do you ever really get a choice?
What is the ultimate sacrifice? Find out in this epic ending to a story that will have you exhausted from the emotional ride yet coming out refreshed and better because of it.
Why the author felt any obligation to add an additional book is beyond my level of comprehension. I am so wrecked right now.
The story jumps ahead four years. So much has changed that it doesn't even feel as if I'm reading about the same characters. I missed Dayton's sardonic humour and Marcas' irresistable stoicism. If the story had ended with book three, I would have been so very satisfied. Instead, Marcas and Dayton have somewhat become a tragedy together. I can't help but feel that their relationship, which I really liked in the previous books, will now forever hold undertones of resentment and strain. Despite the HEA, to me they feel irrepairably broken, making it hard for me to invest in the too-good-to-be-true ending.
Revelation was an unnecessary and a train-wreck of an addition to a good series. I swear sometimes author's just don't know when to stop.
I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review. Another home run for R.K. Ryals. Revelation is the final book in The Redemption Series. This was the series that got me following and reading everything R.K. writes. This is an epic ending to a great series. Dayton and Marcus go through so much together and everything they endure will take you on an emotional roller coaster you don't want to miss. It's definitely a must read. If you haven't read the first books I highly recommend starting from the beginning of the series.
Revelation by R.K. Ryals is the final book in the Redemption series. It was a wonderful end to the series, even though it was a bittersweet read for me since I'm going to miss reading new stories about these characters. I love Marcus and this book made me fall in love with him even more. And I love how Day is so perfect for him. The story was well written and exciting. I could not put it down....and I didn't want it to end. Fans of the Redemption series need to read this book....they won't be disappointed.
I haven't read the books from Monroe and Conor's perspectives (apart from Acropolis- I didn't get into it) so it was a bit of a shock to land back in Dayton and Marcas's world 4 years after the last in their series ended. Despite this, the transition was smooth enough for me but I was terrified the whole way through the book that the relationship was doomed! I have enjoyed this series a lot. Dayton will remain one of my favourite heroines.
Marcas is protective of his woman, "my spine stiffened, and I felt more than saw Marcas grow rigid next to me. “Is there a reason you’re here, prophet?” Marcas growled." With this being the series finale it wouldn't be enjoyable without our Luther, "stunned, Luther’s head shot up. “Good God, did he just offer to take me to church?" I liked how this ended it leaves room for more books in the future but the characters are where I wanted them to end up.
Why are you giving this book good ratings? Like seriously? This book series was finished after the third book. Everything has ended happy and there wasn't any plot anymore. The book wasn't bad it was just useless. For me it seems like it was just written to make more money for the author. Anything else wouldn't make sense. Just don't read it. Read the first three books and then stop. The ending of the third book is much better than the ending of this book.
I was surprised to find this in my recommended. I thought their story was over. It made me smile. Marcus is always my favorite. The story was good and I'm happy to see that Dayton is still ride or die. although I did not read the other books featuring her friends, happy with their endings. Good read
It was nice to see more of Dayton & Marcas together and I liked the alternate POV's but I loved the original trilogy and was happy with how that ended so while the story was enjoyable enough it felt kind of unnecessary to me.
Another 10+ star review for the amazing RK Ryals. I love these characters, even all of the spin off series characters, so very much. Marcas *sigh*, there are no adequate words to describe him. I know this is the finale, but I can only hope that the saga continues. Amazing!
This last book was rather disappointing in comparison to the previous parts. It didn't seem to have much of a plot, and it left more questions open than answered, especially about Monroe. I know want to read a whole spin-off series just to find out what the deal is.
I really liked this series! My only complaint is that they are so short. I wish there were a little more to this, especially with the epilouge I found myself wanting more from it since this is the finale. But even still this a great series.
I devoured the first three books two summers ago. I've been patiently waiting for this book. It was so worth the wait!! Excellent ending to a fantastic series!!!!
