I have to be honest… The cover caught my attention, but I really need to learn not to read books just because they have a pretty cover.

I loved the writing in this book, but that was the only thing I loved about this book. Lindzee Armstrong is a fantastic writer. It was so easy to get sucked into the story because of the writing. If I were reading a different story with this same writing style, I’m sure I would love it.

My main issue with this book was how much cheating is in it. It feels like cheating was shoved into the story at every opportunity. There’s even one character who cheated on three different partners. It’s a mess. The main relationship in this story isn’t technically cheating, but it still felt like cheating since it was between a man and a woman who was engaged to a different man for most of the book.

My other big issue with this book had to do with the characters. I didn’t like the three main characters at all. Here’s my thoughts on them:

Brooke: Brooke is full of herself. She wasn’t as full of herself as some of the other characters, but I still hated that element of her personality. I constantly hated how it seemed like she needed to define herself by a man. Instead of having any sort of clear hobbies or interests, she was either consumed with her “love” for her fiancee or she was focusing on how Luke made her look in public. She was like a boy obsessed teen girl, but she was supposed to be a grown adult who works a full time job. She’s also painfully oblivious to everything around her. That “plot twist” at the end was so obvious but she convenientely didn’t notice it until it happened.

Luke: Luke is a big man baby who can’t accept that the girl he loves might like someone else. I know that’s harsh, but it’s true. He does terrible things and gets drunk every night because the girl he likes is engaged to someone else. It was like something petty that would happen in high school, but he was supposed to be a billionaire adult. He blames his bad behavior and acting on “grief” because he doesn’t want to take responsibility for his actions. His bad behavior includes pushing boundaries and flirting with an engaged women. I was so uncomfortable with how he pushed himself on Brooke when she clearly said that she wasn’t interested. He’s also extremely cocky, especially when it comes to women. He claimed that “the women would come to him soon enough” when he showed up at a bar. Speaking of women, he was borderline sexist. At one point, he was asked about how attractive he thought a women was and he said “If I’m totaly wasted and she doesn’t open her mouth, I’d dance with her at the club.”

Antonio: Antonio is the worst character in this book. He doesn’t care about anyone except himself and he’s way too controlling of Brooke. He’s a sexist pig, too, which really didn’t help with my opinion of him. I don’t understand what Brooke saw in him. Oh, and he’s arrogant. Why were all of the characters in this book arrogant and full of themselves? I need at least some variation in the characters that I read about.

It’s also worth noting that the only character of color in this book is described as “exotic” and she’s constantly made to look like a fool through the way that she doesn’t get American expressions right. It’s borderline racist.

In case it isn’t obvious, I really didn’t like this book. It was a complete mess from start to finish. If it weren’t for the writing, this easily would’ve been a one star for me. Save yourself the time and don’t read this book, especially if you hate reading about cheating.

There's just something fun about matchmaking books that I really enjoy reading them! Maybe it takes me back to all the fun(ok maybe more stress) of the college dating scene and trying to survive some of those crazy dates that everyone sets you up on. Hee Hee! There were fun ones amidst the crazy ones for sure, like the elimi-date that I went on(it was for a good cause, a charity fundraiser) or the scavenger hunt where we ended up breaking down in the vehicle and trying to figure out how to fix it really late at night, or trying to be taught how to drive a moped(ummmm, yeah I just can't, not even motorcycles-oh that was a fiasco)! But hey there's lots of great memories involved though!

Ok back on task to the book review instead of a trip down memory lane. I've been visiting family the last several weeks so maybe that's where all these memories and nostalgia are coming from.

Brooke and Luke have their story in this book of the No Match for Love series. In the prequel novella, they meet and set some boundaries and rules for each other but never seriously date. Now years later, they are both at different points in their careers and in different relationships and different life struggles have continued coming both of their ways.

Luke is reeling from the death of his dad and Brooke is trying to be a good best friend helping him yet trying very hard not to step over any boundaries that would cause problems with her relationship with her fiancee.

Through Luke's emotional struggles he finds himself in a little bit of deep water with his family company. Things must change and fast.

Brook finds herself at her dream job as a matchmaker, yet finds out that the company might need to close that office. What's a girl to do? Well get a celebrity to become a member of the matchmaking company. Who better than playboy, billionaire, and the hottest bachelor, Luke, her best friend. He'd do anything for her right?

What ensues is a lot of heartache and trying to prove your worth moments. This isn't a clean cut book that is a simple and easy relationship meet, fall in love and get married story. There's a lot of struggle and coming to terms with yourself and your shortcomings and your dreams.

Can Brooke and Luke realize what they truly want in life and go for it? Will the choices they make truly bring them the happiness they seek or are they only so-so choices that are a protection for the ache they are really feeling?

I enjoy reading Lindzee's books and the different characters that she writes about. Not all squeaky clean and easy going relationships but she definitely writes about real life and the problems and struggles that we can encounter. I've read a couple other books in this series and can't wait to keep reading more. Especially about Brooke's great matchmaking skills. The characters who are the MCs for the following books are featured in this book and I really can't wait to see what their stories are!

Content: Not a squeaky clean read but no graphic sex scenes. There is talk about Luke hooking up with different girls and that he's a player. There are couples living together before marriage. Drinking and drunken moments as well as talk of affairs. Nothing was overly graphic in regards to the relationships between couples.

I snagged a copy from Amazon when it was free.

Happy Reading!!!

I wanted to like this book more than I did. Its not the writing, cause it was great. I guess it was because I had trouble liking the heroine. Luke has been in love with her since high school but she stuck him in the friend zone. I can see why since he was a bit of a player. But she made all these rules and if he breaks one he gets the silent treatment. She kinda comes across as too controlling to be a friend. Then she lets her boyfriend dictate who she can be friends with.
So, basically she is the kind of friend who is bossy, controlling and dumps you when she has a boyfriend. Remember that girl from high school? Then when her boyfriend dumps her who does she call for sympathy? Me! That’s who!! *sorry, may still have some baggage from high school*
Anyway, its an ok story, and the ending is good. 😊

Loved this one! Fun story-line. There were a couple times the story lagged a little and I wished it would move on at a faster pace (Brooke was so darn stubborn) but overall very enjoyable.

Content: Clean, no sex, no language, no innuendo. There is however some implied content although never any details, you just know that is the lifestyle they are living - Luke is a player and sleeps around, Brooke spends nights at her fiancee's place, Luke gets drunk and picks up women at bars.

Started this right after the novella prequel...just didn't want to pursue it when right off the bat in the first chapter Luke is heading to the bar to drown his sorrows, meets up with an ex-girlfriend they start drinking and he is about to go home with her when his BFF shows up and drags him home...

Audio review

I just finished the prequel (which I would highly recommend reading/listening to first so the reader is up to speed) where I met the main characters and the situation. It was cute, but also showed that there would be tough times for romance between the main players to win out so in I dove for the rest of the story.

This story takes place eight years after the prequel. Some things haven't changed while others? Brooke has her friend rules clutched tightly before her keeping Luke at the distance she needs to keep him even though she refuses to discuss or analyze why. He has to stay in the friend camp or it will destroy everything- or so she thinks. Besides, Brooke has a fiance' and she loves him- loves him, she tells herself and everyone else who doubt this. Antonio is perfect since the computer has them matched at like 70%. And besides, Luke is a player just like her womanizing dad who is on his third marriage break up and more kids left hurt by a dad who cheats just like she. Yeah, he's a player because every time she turns around Luke's with a different woman- and she won't listen to everyone- and I do mean everyone- telling her that Luke is her perfect match and he can't make a relationship work because he is hung-up on her. She needs to grasp at the perfect match with Antonio and move with him to Italy even if the very idea of leaving Luke behind pierces her heart.

Luke's latest public fiasco made the tabloids so that now his company board is threatening to remove him as head of the company and his competition has the edge. Luke doesn't have time to remain in grief with his life spiraling out of control. Luke is forced to watch the woman he loves with another guy and then she comes to him for help to save Toujours, her matchmaking business, by letting her match him up. Having a celebrity in the dating pool for Toujours will revitalize the business and bring in more clients. Luke will do anything for Brooke so he agrees and at the same time he agrees to an all out effort to clean up his act and work hard for the company for himself, for his dad's memory, and for Brooke. He will fight to keep her until that moment she walks down the aisle. If only he can break through her fears about love.

Alright, so this story went way past my expectation of how difficult it was going to be. I got vested in these characters and seeing them happy while reading the prequel. I didn't want to see Brooke permanently broken by her dad's infidelity and I wanted to see Luke get his dream gal. And by the time I finished listening to this story, I was exhausted and had a lot of thoughts pinging around in my mind.

This was one of those stories that felt out of balance for me. I wasn't completely satisfied. We all have thoughts on what makes a good romance for us. With me, I enjoy seeing both characters grow as characters and I like seeing them grow together. I don't mind conflicts and barriers and enjoy a hard-fought romance. But, I have to believe there is something worth fighting for and that both are vested in the romance. I didn't feel like I got that with this story. I felt like Luke did all the romancing and the growing while Brooke was static. Now, as to their friendship, that was different. She was there for him and he was there for her, but my issue was seeing some evidence beyond friendship on her part.

The author did a good job of showing why Brooke struggled. My heart went out to Brooke because she was so handcuffed by her past. She has to make up rules and has to feel control. Love doesn't stay neatly behind the boundaries she has set and it terrifies her into playing it safe with a lesser love that has no chance of being more. And because most of the book, Brooke is hung-up on her issues and pushed Luke away all the time, it would have gone a long way toward making me comfortable with their romance to see her get past her mistrust and make her own gesture of romance. But she doesn't. Even when saying the words he wants to hear, she qualifies it. The story was all about Luke trying to prove that he wasn't her dear old cheating dad and Luke didn't deserve that. It might be more realistic that she would always have doubts, but it didn't make for a satisfying romance.

The narrator, Tiffany Williams, continued to captivate me. I felt she was a good pairing for this book and she got the characters, the emotions, and the timing down pat. Look forward to more of her work.

So yeah, I wanted more balance in the romance. That said, I do love the world the author created and her writing style was engaging. The matchmaking element is fun and I love all that was going on with the Toujours dates. I am intrigued by the supporting characters and the potential stories there. I would recommend this one for those who enjoy sweet contemporary romance that like them emotional and hard-fought.

I'm not sure what to say about this one. I enjoyed the prequel I read a few weeks ago, Meet Your Match and seeing how Luke and Brooke met, but I wasn't entirely happy with how the story plays out.

Firstly, I have to say, I thought the book was well written. It kept me interested and I wanted to continue reading to see how things would play out, I just didn't love the plot. Actually, to be specific, I like friends to lovers stories, just not when its done like this. Brooke and Luke have been BFFs for eight years, and even though they date other people, they are each others Number One. It's not fair to your significant other if you are always putting someone else above them.

I didn't like Brooke. Her dad is always jumping from one relationship to another. Brooke is scared of ending up with someone like him. She meets Antonio through being matched at her work and is actually engaged to be married (I actually think she could have been really happy with him if she had given him a real chance.) I liked Antonio and thought he got a bad rap for nothing. He loves Brooke and wants to make a life with her, but Luke is always in the way. Brooke treats Antonio like crap and yet her friends and Luke are always putting Antonio down. I didn't get it, he was way more understanding of Brooke/Luke than most guys would be and was more than fair with her. Brooke was completely selfish and was always putting Luke first. Poor Antonio. I also thought he kind of got thrown under the bus for no reason and I didn't think he got a fair ending.

As for Luke, I never liked him much either. Brooke has made up these ridiculous friend rules and he's stuck around all these years hoping one day to get a chance with her. In the meantime he dates like crazy and is always hooking up with random girls. He didn't make a good first impression in this book, and never really won me over as the book went on. He knew she had hang-ups about guys being faithful and what she wanted in a relationship, so it would have been nice if he had spent those eight years becoming the guy she could fall in love with, not continue the "playboy" imagine he thought was expected of him. Brooke really did a number on him. I was secretly hoping that Brooke would choose Antonio and move to Italy and Luke would meet someone else. I never felt a romantic connection between Brooke and Luke.

So, overall, this one just didn't click with me. I did enjoy the writing and storytelling and will definitely check out more from Ms. Armstrong, but this kind of storyline frustrates me too much to enjoy.

4.5 stars for this sweet story about long time friends realizing they're in love. Actually it was the girl realizing she was in love with her best friend. Luke sounds like the perfect boyfriend and not just because he's gorgeous and a billionaire. He's thoughtful, knows how to make you laugh and is always there when you need him.

I think deep down in her heart Brooke knew she was in love with Luke, but was scared to admit it. Her parents' divorce, because her dad had an affair, really messed her up, and her mom's constant "men can't be trusted" mantra made Brooke skittish. She was afraid if she and Luke didn't work out she'd lose her best friend.

As for Brooke's fiance, Antonio, I didn't like him from the beginning. He didn't support her friendship with Luke, who she'd been friends with since high school, and he treated her career as if it didn't matter. He and Brooke had a 5 year plan and he was changing that without considering her feelings. I'm was glad she caught him with another woman because it relieved any guilt she may have had over breaking their engagement.

I liked Luke's dating adventures. The poor guy was only trying to help Brooke save the company she worked for.

This is the first in the No Match for Love series. The narrator does a wonderful job as there are a lot of different characters.

DNF at 1%.

If you have to make rules to "stay in the friend zone", you aren't friends. Either date or don't.

Not my cup of tea. I do believe that men and women can be friends but I don't believe in putting all these rules to it.

I have to admit that I really enjoyed this book. I could not put it down and read it in one night - HOWEVER - it also frustrated me SO-SO much! Unlike it's prequel "Meet your match", I thought this book was more suitable for older teenagers and young adults rather than younger readers. It was clean in the sense that there were no sex scenes, but it was implied that the main characters were in sexual relationships.

I was quite eager to find out what happened between Brooke and Luke after they became good friends in "Meet your match". I could not believe that eight years later, these two characters in their mid-20s were still ONLY friends. It was hinted in the first book that, despite Brooke's silly rules, she was attracted to Luke and only wanted to remain friends so they would not end up hurting each other. Years later, Luke was still madly in love with Brooke, yet they had never kissed once and he had never revealed his true feelings to her! How could any man follow a woman's "friends only" rules for eight years while pining for her the whole time?! His excuses for not letting his feelings known over the years were lame. For goodness sake, she was his best friend, so HE KNEW what she wanted from a man - a stable relationship, a trustworthy guy, so why didn't he prove to her that he was that man?! He did the exact opposite with his meaningless, short-lived relationships. Why wait until the girl you love is about to marry another man before telling her you love her?! Ugh! So frustrating.

Brooke was engaged to an Italian artist Antonio in this book. I tried to believe she truly loved him but how could she when her best friend Luke always came first in her life? Antonio was more accepting of her close friendship with Luke than most men would be. I was surprised he stayed engaged to Brooke and not given her an ultimatum. At first I liked his character, then I suspected he might not be as honest as Brooke thought him to be, so I hoped she would see that before he broke her heart. I wanted her to finally admit that her love for Luke was deeper than friendship. It was so obvious to everyone else - even to her fiance! Argh!

I will rant no more. My blood pressure is rising. The story was well worth reading and I will be checking out more of this author's work in the near future.

I liked this book. I was engaged and I couldn't help but keep on reading even when I was frustrated to no end by Brooke. And that was pretty much the whole book. I don't think the guys in this book had a fair deal and I honestly couldn't see what they loved so much about Brooke. She frustrated them both. Or maybe she just frustrated me? I don't know. I liked this but I didn't. But I did. Ha.

Content: There are references to people sleeping around and sexual relationships. Nothing is described in detail but you know it is happening.

This was such a delightfully fun book to read. Here’s what I liked about it. I really liked Luke’s character. He is your typical rich rogue who does what he likes just because he can. These kind of characters can bug me at times, but the author did a great job of making me like him quite quickly. She shows his deepest desire, and how he really isn’t the person he pretends to be. Brooke has been Luke’s best friend since high school, but when he wanted to further their relationship, she set up rules to keep them strictly in the friend zone. Now she is a matchmaker at an elite firm to help others find happiness. It worked for her, bringing her Italian fiancé into her life and her own soon-to-be happily ever after. But Luke is determined to make her face up to her fears and admit to her love for him. He has loved her for eight years, but Brooke has troubles believing that because of her own deep-seated prejudices. Once I started reading this, I couldn’t put it down. It’s a winner. I will definitely read more of Lindzee Armstrong’s books in the future.

Miss Match (No Match for Love #1)

......Spoilers....

https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2017...

Miss Match, was actually a good book. I was rooting for Luke to get his girl, and finally, he did. Took Brooke, long enough to actually give into her feelings and actually go for what she wants, and in the beginning, I figured that her future ex-husband (may as well to say this) was cheating on Brooke it was just that feeling that I had. Glad, that Luke, and Brooke got together in the end, and Andi, was a good person to use to win Brooke, I was like yasss, I cannot wait until I read Andi story, I am hoping that Luke will help her win her best friend brother.

I just can't get into this one. The whole beginning and the premise was frustrating and everyone acting out of character, things being unrealistic, and not a single character that I like so far (except maybe Zoey) characters that I don't like. Maybe if I had read the prequel and was invested in the characters I would hang in there, but there are so many red flags already and with the book being almost 400 pages... Very disappointing. DNF.

Content (for the portion I did read): Drinking, suggestive content

A really cute story of good friends turning into something more.

Brooke and Luke have been best friends for a long time and Luke knows he loves Brooke but he's afraid to let her know.
It was fun to read how they got past the obstacles, how Luke learned to grow up and Brooke discovered her true feelings.

Now I want to read Mitch and Zoey's story.

After his father has passed away, leaving the title of CEO to him, Luke Ryder feels like his life is spinning out of control. Turning to alcohol to numb his pain and turning to all the wrong women to ease the emptiness in his heart, Luke tries really hard to get over the real problem that he has been dealing with for the last 8 years: Brooke. His best friend Brooke is getting married to the perfect Italian and everyday it breaks his heart. Brooke is so adamant about keeping their status as friends in tact that she’s written up a list of rules to keep Luke in the “friend” zone. But things are starting to crumble in Brooke’s world.

Having an unfaithful father has left its mark on her and Brooke refuses to ever trust a player like Luke. She needs someone like her fiance in her life, strong and dependable. However, when news hits that her dream job is about to be taken away she knows she must stand and make a fight. Brooke is the top matchmaker at Toujour, but the numbers have been bleak for months and it’s time to turn them around or the company would fold. The only solution is to bring in a high profile figure, and who better could that be that the rich, good looking bachelor, Luke Ryder. Luke goes through the motions to help the love of his life succeed, but his true feelings are about to shine through and it’s time for his to stand up and fight for her and it’s time that Brooke knows his true feelings. Sometimes the best thing we have is standing right in front of us and we just don’t know it. Brooke must learn to let go of her fears and learn that she may be putting her love and trust in the wrong man.

I loved reading Miss Match. It was great to watch a man fight so hard for the woman he loves, stumbling along the way because he is human, but not letting it slow him down. The dialogue flowed easily and the story never slowed down. Brooke and Luke were endearing and you couldn’t help but want to reach and grab Brooke and ask, “What are you doing?” I like when the author has created such a great story that I can’t help but get captivated by the characters and I forget that I’m not in reality while I’m reading. I love getting swept away into the fiction world of a sweet endearing romance.

If I was a more aggressive DNF-er, I would have stopped reading this book 1/3 of the way through. Although the writing is engaging and makes this story a fast read, every time I stopped it took a lot for me to get back into it because the characters are very unlikable and the execution of the story was poor.

Matchmaking, a failing business and unrequited love were the key factors that piqued my interest in the book blurb. But the setup of the story was off-putting. Initially, the hero, Luke, comes across as immature, selfish and drunk for the first 125 pages. That’s a long time to put your hero in an unfavorable light without any progressive action to justify the means. Although the story begins in the aftermath of the loss of his dad, which he is dealing with terribly, I still struggled to empathize with him. As the story progresses and Luke matures in his actions and character, I only found him to be more tolerable not likable. Similarly, I struggled to connect with Brooke. Her stubbornness about her feelings is pure drudgery to read through because it’s so repetitive in the middle of the plot. Her moodiness towards Luke if he broke one of her rules wasn’t attractive either.

I think the reason the romance fell flat for me is because it didn’t build. In the story, Luke and Brooke’s friendship is mainly featured in conflict or critical condition. They tell us more about their solid friendship over the past 8 years versus something I was able to read and see for myself. And since this is an friends-to-more/unrequited love story, it’s necessary for readers to experience that strong foundation. Unfortunately, I didn’t. Secondly, I felt like Luke's “dating” other women for the sake of saving the matchmaking company, pulled focus from Brooke and Luke’s relationship. Overall, I believe it was counterproductive and, consequently, muddled the structure of the plot.

I loved this book! It is fun, witty and romantic. Lots of humor too. I loved the characters of Luke and Brooke. The character Charlotte is a hoot with her trying to say american sayings and getting them all wrong. I even liked Zoey and Andie! I didn't like Antonio. Antonio seemed like he had something to hide from the very beginning and was too bossy and demanding.

The author, Lindzee Armstrong did a fantastic job on this book! It is well written and I found it totally charming. It is a clean read too, very refreshing. The narrator, Tiffany Williams nailed the delivery of this book. Complete with emotions and feelings. The voices and accents were smooth and believable. What a wonderful story! I listened to both this book and the prequel in one day! It was that good.

I won this audiobook in an Eargasms contest!

Lindzee did a fantastic job making me feel like I was right there in the story. The detail, the emotion, and the relationships were so vivid. Luke and Brooke were both great characters who played well off each other, and their friends were a great support them as they fought through their trials.

While Antonio is everything that Brooke thinks she wants, he was just exactly the right amount of slimeball that made me want her to go running back to Luke. He does his best to make her happy, even as she knows she can't possibly leave Luke behind when she gets married.

And talk about book hangovers! I have spent all day today wishing I could go back into that world. I can't wait to read more of Lindzee's books.

Armstrong doesn't disappoint with this romance. Brooke thinks she has found Mr. Right but Luke's recent struggles with the death of his father threaten her relationship. The perfect solution to her own issues at work force her to face her true feelings about her best friend. The will they/won't they tension is the perfect blend of character and story that will leave you tingling with anticipation if the story will work out in Happily Ever After for all involved.

The problems that Brooke and Luke face are both realistic and interesting. Armstrong does a magnificent job with dialogue and I loved the banter between all of the characters. Can't wait to read what's next in the series.

Please right quickly :)

This was a quick light read with a happy ever after ending which was just what I needed today. Brooke's dream job is to be a top rated matchmaker. She even put herself up to be matched and is engaged to her Italian beau but the match company is going through hard times and her best friend Luke has also been struggling after the death of his father. They have been best friends for eight years with their own set of rules to keep things platonic but Luke would be quite happy to break them all. In an effort to help Brooke save her job and prevent her from moving to Italy, Luke is even willing to become a client of Toujours. Will he find his match? You bet!

I struggled reading this. The writing was phenomenal, but the story, however, I don't think I can say the same. I had a love-hate thing with the characters. It's hard for me to connect or at least sympathize with the character since they made idiotic, reckless, and selfish decisions.

3.5 stars. I enjoyed the intro novella to this story, and there were things I liked about this book as well. And things I didn't like as much.
Still I stayed up late to finish it.

**Rating: 4 out of 5 stars**

((I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review))

Mild spoilers ahead

I really enjoyed this book!

I have gone through the reviews of the other readers, and I’ll have to agree - the pacing of the book is a bit slow. Brooke seems quite content with Antonio, and doesn’t begin to question her platonic relationship, as best BEST friends, with Luke, until, like, about half of the book is over. Note how I said ‘question’. Not reciprocate her feelings. Well, we’ve still got half the book left, don’t we?

The plot was really good! Brooke’s job is at danger, so she asks her best friend, who has been in love with her since 8 years, to become a client in her agency, a match-making company, in order to draw in more customers, to stop the business from shutting down. Not that I encouraged her taking advantage of her best friend, but when situations are dire, it's not like she had any other option.

At first sight, Luke Ryder does seem a bit selfish – coping up with the demise of his father, the founder of Ryder Communications, he doesn’t even visit his office, until his position as CEO started being questioned by the Board of Directors. But hey. You’ve gotta admit it. If you were in his situation, you’d have done the same. I’d say it was pretty realistic.

Brooke’s GOTTA BE THE MOST THICK-HEADED AND OBLIVIOUS CHARACTER I’VE EVER READ. I mean, it was SOOOO OBVIOUS that Luke loved her. Since eight years. Ever since she rejected him. But still! Like, how could you not realize that? And how does one carry a Birkin bag without realizing it’s a Birkin bag? Urgh.

ARE YOU SURE YOU'RE A WOMAN FROM THE 21ST CENTURY? YOU COULDN'T IDENTIFY A BIRKIN BAG?

BUT, BUT BUT BUUUUUT, I LOVED HER! Despite what .. I wouldn’t really, call her minor flaws, she was a pretty likeable character! She was a perfect balance to Luke – Levelheadedness against the carefree person. PURRFECT~

Zoey was the perfect representation of the readers. She was, like, the CAPTAIN OF THE LUKExBROOKE SHIP. Loved ya, Zoe~

So, if you’re looking for a slow contemporary romance, this book is perfect for you!

Friend Zone Rules, Penalties, and Obligations

Billionaire CEO throws himself at his engaged best friend and girl he loves while she attempts to set him up with other women to save her job.

Brooke is engaged. Luke is in love with her. They are best friends. He agrees that she can set him up to save her job. Can Brooke keep from falling for him and keep her fiance appeased with that friendship all while Luke is pursuing her and seeing the women she sets him up with all under the scrutiny of the paparazzi?

The story had a fun tone, lovable characters, and your heart is drawn into the complexities of their lives and hearts. It all makes an endearing book. The rules of their friendship are so classic! Don't we all have the same rules, just not written down. Such a cute concept.

Brooke and Luke are good friends who care about each other and have some attraction for one another. I don't think that these two are the perfect match at all. The perfect match is something you should always work to become as you practice being a better person. I think the more the characters work on themselves the more matched they become. I love how this story embodies this concept.

I thought the book concept was really awesome, but I could have done without the premarital sexual relations and all the alcohol. It could have been done without them. Because of that, I would only recommend it to some. It is a personal preference.

Content: sexual innuendos, drinking, premarital sex implied
