When I pick up a book called Hardcore I expect it to include (at the very least) some good hard sex. My first disappointment - no sex until the 88% mark. Second, him telling her what to do and thrusting hard into her, does not count as hardcore.

Maybe I just expected the wrong thing here (i.e a smutty book full of hardcore sex), either way, I'm left disappointed.

Romance. Steamy, hot scenes. Short story. An easy read. Josslyn, the main character is much relatable. She has an exciting job and does all the things right; moving past her broken relationship with Eric, her college sweetheart. But somehow, I was unable to connect with her. I was disappointed when she allowed herself to be literally used as a sexual object by Vincent, the hot and rich guy. The writing did not exactly work for me. There is a lack of character development. This first book was much of a failure for me. The story still ends with a hook; Josslyn is facing her past and her future. Who will she then choose?

This book was pretty good, however it was giving prequel vibes rather than book one vibes so that wasn’t the best. The first sex scene between Josslyn and Vincent is very 😬😬😬🔥🔥😬. I felt like she didn’t know what was going on with Vincent and he was just kind of leading her blindly and while she enjoyed it just didn’t sit right with me that he was tying her up and not letting her touch him but she was just supposed to touch. And she was the only one naked. The book left on a major cliffhanger and honestly if this wasn’t free at the time I probably wouldn’t have bought it because it’s also only 35 pages. It was a good book overall but those few issues really irked me.

Sooo... This review is a confession of sorts and also a warning of sorts.

This book was suggested to me by a friend along with several other titles by this author. While my friend suggested this title along with six other titles by this author, I continued to read more titles by the author because her stories were just so familiar. Like identical familiar. Just to make sure I wasn't wrong. I did my homework. Unfortunately, I'm not wrong.

-----MY CONFESSION------
is that I am a member of an adult website called Literotica. Its a site that provides adult audio and adult stories written by people who are also members. As it says in the title, its 99% heavy erotica.

------MY WARNING------
is that Lucia Jordan is copying other peoples works from the Literotica website and publishing them as her own work. 98% of what I have read from this author has come from other people on that site. Most of it word for word.

------MY FINAL WORD------
While its not my place to tell anyone what to think or do I highly suggest you be careful when dealing with people stealing and taking credit from other peoples work. The people that post their stories to that website don't put it there so that someone can go on and steal it just because you can copy and paste from that site.

I do NOT recommend reading stories by this author.

I am not really sure how I feel about Joss in this story.. I am having a hard time connecting with this character. She is whiny and bitchy one minute and bossy and demanding the next. Her emotions are all over the place from one end of the scale to the other in like .005 seconds and sometimes with no apparent reason. She is very indecisive with just about everything. She decides one minute that she is done with her ex Eric (with good reason) and the next that she loves him and is adding him back as a contact on her phone after deleting him. I just can't with this girl.

Vincent.. its hard telling with him. He seems like he might have a few issues himself.. but this soon in the story we don't know much about him yet.

I'm still debating with myself if I want to get the next book in the series... I might have to check out the reviews on it... If Joss doesn't get any better as a character I will probably just write it off... I really am not connecting with her and not sure that I will be able to if she keeps up as she is now.

Interesting cannot tell you if I like it or not.
I can tell you that there is defiantly more to these characters then meets the eye.
I'm sure Eric the creep is going to cause problems for Joss & Vincent's campaign.
But I think we are going to see to sides to Vincent. Celebrity public side & his Sexy, demanding, denominate side when he is in the bedroom.
Will Joss continue to allow that? Will Vincent allow her to lead one & a while?
I guess you need to by the remaining chapters to find out. Not sure I want to do that.
I purchased the 2nd one but not sure want to spend on the remaining chapters.

Woah. HOLY SHIT. 😂

This was hot, steamy, and sexy! 🥵 I enjoy reading stories with dominant men who know exactly what their woman needs and how to give it to her, and yet have that sweet side that allows them to be so caring. ❤️ The moment Joss and Vincent meet, OMG!!!! They go up in flames and the attraction gets stronger and more combustible. 🥵😂🔥 The smut!!! I mean romance was intense. Lol! 🤣 It was really good 😉👌 I just finished this in one sitting. 👀

*Sigh* I want the next book. 😑😄

This was fun and a very quick read for me and I'm definitely looking forward to continuing on with this series and Lucia Jordan's other books. 💕

It was free on amazon so I figured why not. I was very let down. I'm not sure what I expected from a short, free book; but I definitely expected a better written sex scene. I'm just baffled that this is an erotic novel people pay for when I've read way better sex scenes in wattpad fanfiction written by teenagers. Again, it was free. I'm not sure why I put myself through reading this, but at least I only wasted a little but of time on this.

What will Joss do

Joss knew Eric was unfaithful but he acted as if nothing was wrong. When Vincent came to the station due to an accident she was struck by his appearance and voice. Erica came and showed her what a jerk he was. Yet Vincent would show her a night of pleasure only to be trampled by Eric.

Very Slow Start

Joss just broke up with her ex Eric, and now finds the attention of the potential new mayor Vincent West. One night and she finds herself bound in bed with him, and she isn't complaining.

The book was slow to start, but the scene with Joss and Vincent was steamy. I wish there was a little more to it and that it didn't feel rushed.

Missing something

Good short story. What made me rate this book as 3⭐'s is the fact that the book was in their person. Ugh one of my pet peeves. Also it just feels like there was not a deeper connection between the two main characters. It felt kinda rush in certain areas of the story.

Interesting Read

There were things I liked and things I didn't about this story. It started out giving good descriptions of characters but the steamy parts were unnerving. The character should have listened to her instincts. I have no idea if there is an HEA at the end of the complete story, but this ended with a dramatic cliffhanger.

I loved this book

I loved this book because it is about wild sex. And some people like it like that without any strings attached. Even I love to have wild sex
