Alice-Miranda and her school friends from Winchester Downsfordvale Academy for Proper Young Ladies are on a school camp - but it's not all camp fires and treasure hunts. A new student seems determined to cause trouble, though Alice-Miranda can't work out why.

Jacqueline Harvey has combined a successful career in education with her love of a good story. She is the author of many novels for younger readers and a picture book, THE SOUND OF THE SEA, which was awarded Honour Book in the 2006 Australian Children’s Book Council Awards.

Jacqueline taught in Infants and Primary schools and was Deputy Head of Abbotsleigh Junior School (an independent day and boarding school for girls) in Sydney Australia for seven and a half years before taking up the position of Director of Development at Abbotsleigh in 2010. In October 2012 she resigned to become a full time writer and speaker.

Jacqueline’s bestselling Alice-Miranda and Clementine Rose series’ centre on the adventures of two young girls.

Alice-Miranda Highton-Smith-Kennington-Jones is a perpetually positive and determined seven year old who takes herself off to boarding school because it appeals to her sense of adventure.

Clementine Rose is a sweet little girl, who brings much joy to her family and the friends she makes along the way in her journeys through the first five books of the series. A star of the show is Clementine Rose’s pet, an adorable teacup pig called Lavender.

Her newest series is called Kensy and Max about twins who learn that their grandmother is head of the world's most important spy organisation, Pharos.

Alice Miranda and her schoolmates are going on camp, there are sleep outs, treasure hunts and other fun activities..... and of course there is a mystery waiting to be solved! This book was delightful! It was lots of fun, and I had many giggles! I adore all of the characters in this series, and I think they are wonderful role-models for children all over the world! Wonderful book!

Okay, I’m dropping everything to reread this series after finishing AM in the outback! This is going to be the weirdest order of rereading ever (100% based on mood) so, get ready for a it’s-sort-of-like-blogging-sess!

Rereading order so far:
1. Alice Miranda in the Outback (#19)
2. Alice Miranda on Camp (#10)

This one is a school based story, so it’s obviously a favourite! I loved seeing the Fayle boys again, and the friendships in this is AWESOME! (I’m thinking about that one scene at night which I won’t spoil but always warms my heart reading) and I was so excited to see the return of Ed with the fam too!

The only con of this book? Caprice. She infuriated the heck out of me, and I’m a lot like *facepalm* gotta deal with her in every book from this onwards. Arghhh! How the teachers are just blind to her *shudders* I mean, you’d think they’d have more trust in Millie since they’ve known her for longer, but nope.

Also so jealous about all the camp activities they got to do. Damn I miss those days!
