When Greco’s long-estranged mother is taken by an unknown enemy, he must face more than just his own personal demons.
Ruthless mercenaries, inept crooks, and deeply buried secrets abound while Greco and Mirissa push their relationship to the brink in their search for answers.
In this short story sequel to Crossfire, the mysteries of Greco’s past are revealed and his biggest mistake threatens to destroy his future.
Born and raised near Toronto, Canada, Andrea Domanski moved south to get away from the cold as soon as she could—snow is not her friend. She now lives in Savannah, Georgia with her husband, Mark, their two incredible children, and their Golden Doodles.
After selling her very boring business in 2012, Andrea focused her energies on raising her children and finding a new career path that excited her. It wasn't long before she decided writing a novel—something she'd always wanted to do—would be her next big adventure. And she hasn’t looked back since!
This sequel to Crossfire was everything I was hoping it would be. It was fast-paced, exciting, full of tension and emotion. I loved getting to know Greco better, learning about his childhood and the huge secret that was tormenting him. It made him so much more real to me, and I found myself really liking him even more. Domanski has woven a lot of great depth into a lead character, as well as revisiting the fantastic Mirissa, and it left me craving more. Can't wait to read the next instalment!
Loved it. Getting in background on Greco made me really love him and now I can't wait to read the next one. If you read this I hope you like dr Alayna sessions and her nurse Cori
This is follow-up novella to the first book in the Omega Group series, "Crossfire." It tells the story of Mirissa's trainer, Greco, and the troubled life he'd had as a result of his mother's deep disappointment at his not having been born female. The family tension comes to a head when his mother disappears and Greco and Mirissa go searching for her.
While short, the story gives a lot of insight to Greco's character and shows a very different side to him than was seen in the first book. The ending was really powerful and I'll be interested to see how these events affect him in later installments.

Listeners were introduced to Greco in CROSSFIRE - Book One of the series. Greco is Mirissa's protector and her trainer.
Not much is revealed about his background in the first book, but there are hints given that his childhood was anything but idyllic.
In fact, his mother treated him like an unwanted stray dog that she was stuck with. Her drinking only escalated the abuse and Greco has not seen or spoken to her in a very long time.
He is very private. He does not often tell people about the abuse he suffered at the hands if his mother. So, when word comes that Greco's mother has been abducted, he is given the job of tracking her down.
"Ruthless mercenaries, inept crooks, and deeply buried secrets abound while Greco and Mirissa push their relationship to the brink in their search for answers."
"In this novella sequel to Crossfire, the mysteries of Greco's past are revealed, and his biggest mistake threatens to destroy his future."
This audiobook is very well written and performed. I am glad that the author chose to use a male narrator to tell Greco's story. I do not think it would have had the same impact if it was narrated by a woman.
David Dietz has the ability to pull his listeners into the story and to ensure that they keep listening. His pacing is perfect and his suspense building skills are second to none. I rate the narration as 5 out of 5 stars.
While the first book focused mostly on Mirissa and on building the plot, this book was much more personal. It does have a terrific mystery that must be solved, but it is the character development and the emotional aspects that make this audiobook a five star listening experience.
I rate this audiobook as 5 out of 5 stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Wow!!!! I loved this follow up to the first book....Greco answered a lot of questions about him....and I can see where this is moving in future books. I love this well written urban fantasy by Andrea Domanski. Fabulous story line, great characters and well played action scenes. Looking forward to the next in the series. Highly recommended.
– Necessary if you want to continue on with this series - Even though Greco is meant to be a Novella (which in my understanding should be a side story), it is essential to the Omega Group Series arc. It revolves around Greco and a mission that takes him, Mirissa and Asteria to his hometown. As was Crossfire, Greco is written in a 3rd person perspective, but we do get some insight into Greco’s mind – which is what I hoped. His secrets are not as big as they were amped up to be, but it was nice anyway. I still don’t appreciate Mirissa, and how she does everything right and always saves the day – and that is probably why I didn’t feel the romance that much. But if you did like her in the first book, you will continue to do so. It is a quick and fast paced read where you get a lot of interesting background story. I would recommend it to people who want to continue on with the series.
we didn't get much about Greco in crossfire but this more than makes up for it. how bloody sweet is this boy willing to give his life ( that's all I'm saying read it to know more) for someone he doesn't know, hero award moment :) I also felt that on Grecos journey back home to find his mum, he managed to finally close a chapter on a bad part of his childhood and finally forgive plus I found Mirissa also grew up a bit more after learning Grecos past and the secret that nearly destroyed them. I'm so glad the author doesn't leave any unanswered questions that we finally find out why Greco is the silent type but I have a feeling he won't be for much longer :) love this: while looking at Mirissa " with all due respect, myrine. death couldn't keep me away from your daughters side, what makes you think you can? go Greco :):):)
This is a short book that tells the backstory of Greco. Some of the story is a little far-fetched, but it is still enjoyable. I always like supplemental stories that tell the backstories of different characters. I actually hope there are more to come. I don't know if you would enjoy this story unless you're reading the rest of the series. But I happen to be reading the whole series, so I found it enjoyable. I listened to the Audible audio version of this book, and the narration was probably the best I've heard from David Dietz. Overall, a fun book in a fun series, worth checking out.
I really enjoyed this book. Its nice to get Greco's back story. We find out what he has been hiding and why he is the quiet brooding type who feels uncomfortable when people recount loving family history stories (as was the case in Crossfire). I look forward to the rest of the series as the writing keeps getting better.
This is a short novella which is described as 1.5 in the Omega Group series. It centers on the Greco character, the only male Amazon, and his relationship with his mother. Greco and the team go to rescue her when she goes missing and he almost loses his life in the process. I´m never as satisfied by novellas as they are just too short for me, but this one wasn´t bad.
A novella not even close to the first book but still infinitely important within the series. Going forward to read Rogue, I'm glad I got to learn more about Greco and his family and see more of the developing relationship between Greco and Mirissa. It was short and sweet, with just enough action and heartwarming ending that made me even more glad I got to read this BEFORE reading Rogue. The 4 star rating instead of 5 star is for the lack of detail in Greco's past when this novella is supposed to be all about him. There was a lot about his life and at least one big important secret is revealed, but I feel like this would have been better as a full length novel instead of a shortened bridge between books 1 and 2. Still, I highly recommend!
