SEAL's Code is the tenth installment of the SEAL Brotherhood series. Yes, you read that correctly. 10th freaking installment. Now at this point you get to realize that this one series is made of tiny ones. I was intrigued in the beginning - heck even suggested this should be a drinking game, but now eh.
In this book, you will meet Danny and Luci. Also, at this point, I have zero interest in being invested. These book will deliver someone creepy and then badda bing badda boom - it's done. I mostly just feel like this is way too many books going towards one series. I get that these are broken down into other series but man, I just don't care anymore.
Whether it's the characters, romance, or the actual story line - I have no interest period. I just want to be done with this series at this point and I think I might be calling it quits at book 10. I'm honestly surprised that I got this far in this series. The audios are pretty quick and interesting enough. I just get so freaking bored with them and that's what kills me.
Overall, I have no idea how many books are left or if I reached the end, but I need a break.
ARC provided by the author and Publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I've really enjoyed the SEAL books by Sharon Hamilton. She shows a different, human side to these warriors and each story is unique and thought provoking. Her extensive research really shows in this one.
Danny is a young Indian man caught between the white man's world and the world of his ancestors. His grandfather was a Code Talker in WWII and an honorable man, a champion and hero for his people. Danny is an aimless pot head, drifting through his life. When Chester dies, Danny returns and comes face to face with what a waste his life is. He also comes face to face with Luci and one night of passion. After he leaves the res, Danny decides he needs to become the man his grandfather wanted him to be. He enlists in the Navy and becomes a SEAL, the best of the best, the only easy day was yesterday.
When he returns to the res to come to terms with that part of his life, he encounters Luci and a passion that is just as strong a year later. Luci has her own demons, a sick mother, a teen sister and an uncle who has been paroled who is after his revenge on Luci for putting him away to begin with. But Luci is strong and has handled her problems without any help so far. Danny is there when he's needed and Luci needs him as much as he needs her.
Danny Begay cleaned up his life up and became a SEAL and now he’s returned to visit the girl he cannot get out of his mind only to discover the reservation has become a dangerous place for Luci and her family in this thrilling contemporary romance. Sharon Hamilton certainly knows how to bring sexy SEALs to vibrant life, so once again, I was completely absorbed in the story from beginning to end and I can’t wait to read the next one.
I WENT TO THE WEBSITE TO SEE THE BOOK TRAILER FOR THIS AND WOW! JUST WOW HOT-HOT! A MIX OF ROMANCE AND FANTASY WITH SOME OF THE HOTTEST LOVE SCENES I'VE EVER READ. SMOKING! ALL THE BOOK COVERS IN THIS SERIES HAVE SOME SERIOUS EYECANDY, I MEAN ALL OF THEM, YUM-YUMMY!
1,5 stars. Loved the premise, disapointed in the writing and the story.
I generally love SEAL-books - kind of a guilty pleasure within the romances I read - and so I loved reading SEAL's through the eyes of this new to me author. So when given the chance to read this 10th book in a series for free (I received an ARC from the publisher through Netgalley in exchange of an honest review). Sadly, with regard to the ratings of other books I've read, I can't go higher than a 2 star rating for this book. The main reason for that is, because I am first and foremost a romance reader, the storyline just didn't tick al my boxes. If you're mainly a suspense reader, this could be a better fit. Then I need to say this is not a professional review, but only my personal and honest opinion.
I liked the premise, well, actually every bookcover with the word SEAL on it would have sufficed. I liked the hero being from indian descent, of the glimpses of life on a reservation (which I truly hope isn't all like it's told here), the love that starts out with a one night stand and the spirits of the ancesters. I also really liked some parts of the book, especially the scenes with his grandfather in the hospital and when the hero and heroine met in the bar. I also liked both the hero and heroine, but didn't get to love them.
But most times (hence the 2 star rating), the story seemed to jump all over the place and at times even confused me. Of course, this being an ARC, it is possible some things are changed before publication, but since I don't know what changes will be made, I can only comment on the version I've read. And in order to make this a constructive criticism, I'll write what I would have changed would I have been asked to edit (which, dear author, I would be most willing to do in the future) and hope that the author will be able to change some of the next points. I would have liked:
--> more show and less tell throughout the story: especially more dialogue and especially between the hero and the heroine.
--> to have the SEAL-part play a bigger and more integral part of the storyline. Let's face it, with a title and cover like that, I expected SEAL stuff, and with SEAL stuff I mean an action packed beginning where the hero is doing something tough and heroic where he immediately and undoubtadly establishes himself as, yes, a guy you can depend on to safe your life. So, again with expectations, at first I was disapointed when it took almost a quarter of the book before the word SEAL entered the story. So in order to comply to readers expectations, in editing, I would have tried to change some scenes around, or change the chronoligical turn of events, so the hero would be a SEAL at the beginning. which I think would have worked with the rest of the story and some parts of the SEAL training and brother-bonding could still have been worked in. Secondly, I would have liked the SEAL stuff to be better tied in with the romance. I expect (in a seal romance) the hero to be heroic for the heroine. He must save her life, be willing to give up his being SEAL for her, or something else... in this story. He does at one instance, but he could just as easily have been a cop, so the SEAL part kind of felt like put in as an afterthought, in order to fit into the series. To make a better fit would be a challenge, and something for which at this point I do not have an answer.
--> more focus on the developing of the romance. This book is marketed as a romance, but to me it felt more like a suspense with some sex (ok, hot sex) thrown in. And that, in my book, doesn't make it a romantic suspense novel either. First I need the romance to be believable. The happy couple have 1 one night stand, meet about a year later (by chance) and are almost instantly madly in love. That's something, even with the spirits guiding them, I didn't buy. Second the romance part is concluded halfway through the book when the suspense story line takes center stage (and it even focusses on the secondary characters instead of the h/h). For it to be a romance, I need more obstacles for the HEA throughout the book untill the very end. A solution could be to market this as a suspence, rather than a romance or change some stuff around so the suspense obstacles are more evenly spaced with the romance obstacles.
--> more explanation for his estranged relationship with his parents. It is mentioned a couple of times with respect to his leaving the reservation at one time, which is then put forward as a barrier for the solution of the suspense part, but why that came to be was never really explained. Maybe all people living on a reservation have it as their life goal to leave, and maybe if everyone reading this book would know that, than it would be ok to leave it like this. But me, being from Europe, don't know these things. So as an editor I would say: either explain, or make up another story that doesn't need explaining (for example his parents died and he went into happy foster care or adoption).
Will I read more by this author? Yes. But only if the book is free, even without it being in exchange of an honest review, as I said, I'm more a romance reader. But I would like to see how miss Hamilton grows as a writer. So will I recommend this book to other readers? To romance readers only if they are truly SEAL-mad and have to have read everything they can find with a SEAL thrown in. I would be curious to see how someone with a main focus on suspense would rate this.

•••••••••••
REVIEW: SEAL’s CODE is the tenth installment in Sharon Hamilton’s SEAL BROTHERHOOD/ The Bad Boys of SEAL Team 3 adult, contemporary, military romance series. This is new SEAL recruit and Native American Danny Begay, and Aboriginal grade school teacher Luci Tohe’s storyline. SEAL’S CODE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Luci and Danny) SEAL’s CODE follows the building relationship between Luci and Danny, and Danny’s entry into the military. Danny and Luci are members of the Navajo Native American community and with it comes all of the hardships and stereotyping of living on the reservations. Danny left the community to strike out on his own, but the death of his beloved grandfather, a Navajo Code Talker during the second World War, finds our hero longing for a place to belong.
The relationship between Luci and Danny begins as a one night stand the day before Danny enlists. Fast forward several months, where Danny returns a Navy SEAL, and discovers that problems have escalated upon the Reserve: the number of missing girls has escalated and with it comes the possibility of a sex slave ring right under their nose.
SEAL’s CODE is a slow building storyline that focuses on the Navajo and Native American plight of segregation, discrimination, drugs, alcohol, poverty and abuse, but with it also comes the ghosts of the People long gone in the hopes of one day becoming a proud community as they were in the past. There are moments where the voices of those who have passed direct the characters towards the future but the overriding theme of Aboriginal problems pervaded most of the storyline such that the good guys were few are far between. There is a slight paranormal aspect to the storyline as Danny and Luci, as well as a few supporting characters listen to, and talk with those that have departed this world.
I did have a few issues with this storyline as it pertained to Danny’s quick jump from civilian life into a full fledged Navy SEAL, and the SEALs involvement in the take down of the criminal element permeating the Native community; there is also the issue of some stereotyping as it pertained to the Native community and all of its’ problems. With reference to the relationship between Luci and Danny, I had difficulty connecting with the love and overwhelming need between our couple-for most of the storyline Danny and Luci are separated by war, and for months at a time. It is not until Danny returns to the Reservation (one year later), to help with the investigation into the missing girls, does Danny and Luci’s love affair begin to flourish.
SEAL’S CODE is an ensemble storyline with a number of the previous SEAL Team 3 members playing a secondary or supporting role. We are introduced to Danny’s extended family; Luci’ s long suffering mother, and Luci’s younger sister. The requisite evil has many faces.
SEAL'S CODE by Sharon Hamilton is an interesting Military Romance. #10 in the "Bad Boys of Team 3" (SEAL Brotherhood #10)" series set in Arizona. I have not read any of this series and found it was easy to keep up with the characters and follow the storyline. Meet, Danny Begay, a Navajo Navy SEAL, his dying grandfather, one of the original Navajo Code Talkers, who has been summoned him back to his hometown. And, Luci Tohe, a teacher at a school on the Navajo Reservation, whom Danny had a one night stand with early on in his life. They have a on again, off again relationship, which is tumultuous at times, but Danny is in for a real surprise when he returns home at his dying grandfather's request. Danny becomes embroils in a dangerous situation Luci and her family find themselves in and he most save Luci and her family at all cost.
There is danger on the horizon, as well as some hot sexy love scenes, bitterness, healing, forgiveness, and finding HEA. There is a wide variety of emotions involved in this story, from angst, to bitterness, to happiness, to sadness. The reader will find themselves wrapped up in an emotional roller coaster.
I enjoyed the premise of the book, the Native American aspect of the story was awesome and unique, and the Native American heritage and history helped to make this a unique read. If you are expecting a full fledged "romance", it is not in this story. This is a one night stand, where neither party could forget the other. Apparently, hot sex will do that to a person. But with this said, it does have a bit of suspense, danger, and surprises. This was my first time reading Ms. Hamilton, would I read the next in this series? Absolutely, in fact I look forward to reading the next in this fascinating series. An unexpected but rewarding and enjoyable read.

I appreciated the introduction to Danny's story that this book had. It doesn't start right with military, but you get an idea of the type of person that Danny is before and how he grows over the course of the story. It also subtly introduces the cultural background of life on the reservation, instead of laying it out by saying "this is important because..."
Danny and Luci were well-written and likable characters. I also liked how family was important to Luci; no matter if she even liked her mom or not, she was there for her. The rest of the characters all served a purpose as well. There weren't superfluous characters who didn't contribute to the story. I honestly think that Zelda surprised me by becoming my favorite character. I didn't like her in the beginning but she certainly won my respect toward the end.
The contrast of settings really set the mood for the happenings wherever they were. You start out in the forest in Northern California and enter into a world that is full of tension on the reservation. Then you have the contrast between the lazy beach in Coronado where Danny hangs out after his SEAL training and the uncertainty of desert in Iraq. How the settings are described really helped set the tone for the goings on in each of the locations.
The story is cohesive and easy to follow. There are no wasted scenes in the book. Every happening serves to drive the story forward and there is never a dull moment. I truly didn't expect the story to take the twists that it did and I was very pleasantly surprised by the ending.
This book is jam-packed with romance and suspense!First of all, Sharon really did her homework for writing this book. She included such in-depth details about not only SEAL training, but the Navajo culture. I love that she went the extra mile in that regard because it makes the book more believable.I was a little unsure about both Luci and Danny at first. They were both introduced into the story in an unconventional way, but from their first encounter, I couldn't wait to read more about them! And let's just say there was a lot to read about them, including one very large surprise that I, for sure, was not expecting! The suspenseful undertone throughout the book kept me guessing as to what the resolution would be, and by the end, Danny and Luci both had grown so much and I loved the characters they became.Oh, and HOLY SMOKES, Sharon sure can write a love scene! Whew! All in all, this was a great romance that will give you a peek into a beautiful culture and will keep you riveted 'til the end!***I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
I absolutely love SEAL stories and had high hopes for this book, but I was very disappointed. The story jumps around a lot and has little to do with the SEALs. The book starts before Danny joins the Navy but then quickly jumps through his SEAL training and another jump into the future. By 50% the book seems complete, however then in an unbelievable twist the SEALs become involved with the FBI to take down an operation on the reservation. It all happened too quick for me and characters from the beginning were lost until the end.
It jumped around too fast for me and didn't focus enough on the SEALs.

This was not a good book. I read a lot of romance and I can over look much eye rolling and unrealistic or oblivious characters, but this was too much. It was a struggle to finish this book. The writing style was not for me, I found myself wanting to skim or skip entire pages or paragraphs. The dialog was choppy, none of the characters seem capable of speaking a complete sentence. I was not pulled into the SEAL community at all, and the characters were not that appealing. I doubt I will be reading any more by this author.
The third book in the series brings Danny and Luci's story. The author does a great job developing the story and takes you into their lives with a sizzling chemistry, forgiveness, emotions and love and kept me reading with all the danger. It's well written with perfectly painted scenes and is a terrific read.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and are freely given.
This is book three of the Bad Boys of SEAL Team 3 series and the main characters are Navajo Danny Begay, a Native American from the Dine tribe through his father’s side and the Miwok form his mother’s, and Luci Tohe, who teaches at the reservation school and who meets Danny at a bar, before he travels home once again. His mother called him to tell him to come back to see his dying grandfather, one of the original Navajo Code Talkers in WWII. Danny has been wasting his life, getting high and sleeping with women, unlike his cousin Wilson, who he grew up making trouble with, but who went onto join the military. His mother gets Wilson to pick him up from the airport and he can see how much he has changed. Danny has been trying to ignore the voices of his ancestors he can always hear, even though he can’t really make out anything of what is said. His grandfather is ready to go on his final journey and has a message for Danny, something he can no longer really ignore. Luci hasn’t forgotten the young man she spent the night with, one of the best of her life, as she struggles to keep her little sister safe from their uncle Corwin. Their mother was an addict, drink and drugs, who had a revolving door of different men coming into their home, some of whom were very interested in her two daughters. Even though Luci’s younger sister is underage, the threat to her is increasing from their mother’s last boyfriend.
On his way home, he passed a recruitment centre and went in to see what as on offer, but was told there was no chance he could be on the boats like his cousin, never mind a SEAL. When he gets home he cleans his act up and ends up joining the Navy and then becoming a SEAL, soon becoming part of one of the teams. Meanwhile, Luci found out she was pregnant with Danny’s child and she intended to keep it, however hard that might make it to get her and her sister away from the reservation and the dangers from their uncle and his friend Yellowhorse. Near the end of her pregnancy, a man who is unlike Yellowhorse, but pretending to be like him, warns her to get her sister away and fast, as her uncle is about to be released from prison and he is coming for her! Between his deployments, Danny makes it back to the reservation to look up Luci, who he hasn’t been able to get out of his head, and finds a surprise awaiting him! She had no way of getting in touch with him, but was content to look after her child herself. Danny however, is determined to be part of his child’s life and soon finds out about the danger Luci is facing and is determined to help her. Another young female has been found dead nearby and there have been more female teens going missing from the res, with the FBI now getting into the investigation, having an undercover officer nearby, after another disappeared.
Luci’s mother changed as the pregnancy progressed and even stopped seeing Yellowhorse or bringing any other men home. Danny has graduated the Buds program, but had no one at the ceremony after, like his friend Jeffrey, who he buddied up with and who helped him get through Buds after he fell ill. They have a week off now and Danny decides he needs to go back to the res and see his People, to show them what he has become, especially as his grandfather’s voice constantly tells him. Jeffrey is willing to pay for them to get away somewhere, but agrees to go with Danny for a few days, as he has no real home he wants to go to himself. He runs into Luci again in the local shop, as he is with Jeffrey and Wilson, and sees her nursing a young baby, and on talking to her she admits he is the father, something that amuses is grandfather no end! He drives her and baby Griffin home, but Luci realises her uncle Corwin is there and he is not allowed to be. But before they can leave, Corwin hears hers and forces her to go inside, as he holds a gun on Danny. After they get out of that situation, Danny wants to marry her and have her come to Coronado with him, where he is based between deployments, but she wants to wait until he comes back. His next deployment takes him into a dangerous situation and just as they are set to rescue an important foreign ally and his young son Ali, everything goes wrong. They aren’t due to return home yet, but Danny gets an urgent and desperate message from Luci as her family is targeted and she needs him! He has been away from the res for over a decade and doesn’t really know all about what has been going on there, unlike Wilson, so he may not be as much help as he wants to be. Lots of desperate action and skills of both Navy SEAL’s and those of their People, will be what is required to sort out the evil happening on the reservation and those behind an evil business preying on the young. Loved seeing the intermixing of Ali’s story and his catapult, having read about him in another story of Team 3’s antics. Another great story of these heroic me and the strong women they connect with.
I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
Another great book by Sharon Hamilton!! I love reading about Navy SEALs. It is in my top 4 (Firemen, Marines, Cowboys). I was a little bit confused in the beginning of the book, but I understood why after a chapter or 2. In Book #1, we had the main character already being a SEAL in the beginning, but in this book, Danny had to go through some growing up to do and then, he decided to get his life together and being a SEAL was just what he needed.
In this book, we got a lot. Seals!!! Mystery Suspense Hot Sex Action Great Chemistry Action
Luci is my favorite character. Luci is a strong woman and would do anything for her family. Her sister, Sarah, is everything to her and will protect her. She meets Danny because she is lonely. Danny has denied his heritage and refused to listen to the voices of his ancestors, but when he needed them, there they were.
There are 2 things about this book that stood out for me. I don't remember reading a book about the Native American heritage and it was nice to read about. The other thing is that this SEAL was not a SEAL in the beginning of the book.
☆☆☆☆☆ I give this book 5 out of 5 stars. Would I recommend this book? Yes! Author? Yes! Would I read more from this author? Yes!
This was so interesting learning more about native Indian beliefs. Danny and his cousin Wilson had been a little wild growing up. Danny’s mother was able to move and get him away from the reservation, but he still got into drinking and some drugs. That was until his grandfather was so sick and ready to meet his ancestors and wanted Danny to pay attention to what his ancestors were telling him. Danny’s cousin had joined the navy which made Danny what to do something with himself so he joined the navy to be a seal. Before Danny left, he met Luci another tribe member and had a wonderful night with her and then left. I loved how strong Luci was as she not only took care of her mother and sister, but once the baby Griffen was born him too. Danny found out he had a baby the week before he was going on a mission. I was so happy that he wanted to step up and be a father. Unfortunately there had been girls missing from the reservation and Luci worried about her 15 year old sister. Especially since Luci’s mother was hanging around with some bad men. Something awful happened and Danny was given permission to go home to help out. The book was really exciting and I strongly encourage you to read the book.
I originally read this book when it was published in 2015 and enjoyed it then. Rereading it gave me the opportunity to revisit Danny and Luci.
Danny is a young Indian man caught between the white man's world and the world of his ancestors. His grandfather was a Code Talker in WWII and an honorable man, a champion and hero for his people. When his grandfather dies, Danny returns to the reservation and comes face to face with face to face with Luci and one night of passion. Danny decides he needs to become the man his grandfather wanted him to be and becomes a SEAL.
When he returns to the reservation he again encounters Luci and a passion that is just as strong a year later. Luci has her own demons, a sick mother, a teen sister and an uncle who has been paroled who is after his revenge on Luci for putting him away to begin with. Luci is strong and has handled her problems without any help so far. Danny is there when he's needed and Luci needs him as much as he needs her.
I received a free copy of this book via Sharon Hamilton's SEAL Romance Review Team and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Seal's Code by Sharon Hamilton, book three in the Bad Boys of SEAL Team 3, is a story of suspense, danger, and surprises. Danny Begay, a Navajo Navy SEAL, his dying grandfather, one of the original Navajo Code Talkers, and Luci Tohe, a teacher at a school on the Navajo Reservation who had one night with Danny. When he returns to the reservation to come at the request of his dying grandfather, Danny discovers the reservation has become a dangerous place for Luci and her family. In addition to teaching, Luci takes care of her sick mother, her teen sister and the consequence of the one night she shared with Danny. After being paroled, her uncle is after revenge for Luci being the one to put him away to begin with. Luci is strong and has handled her problems without any help so far. This time, Danny is there when he's needed and Luci needs him as much as he needs her.
There is danger on the horizon, along with sizzling romance, bitterness, healing, forgiveness, and finding a love together. There is a roller coaster of emotions involved in this story, from angst, to bitterness, to happiness, to sadness.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Danny Begay returns to Arizona when he learns that his grandfather, one of the original Navajo Code Talkers is dying. Seeing the many medals his grandfather received for his military service, sparks a need in him to make something of himself, to become a Navy SEAL. Before he left Arizona he had met and loved Luci Tohe, a teacher at the reservation school. When he returns, Luci, has a surprise for him, but can he be the man that Luci needs? Luci is concerned for the safety of her younger sister, Sarah, and her mother when her mother’s abuser is released from prison. A desperate phone call from Luci tells him that Sarah is missing. He returns, but will he be able to find and save Sarah along with other young girls who have disappeared from the reservation? A sometimes-gritty romance that speaks to the hardships of the Navajo Nation and the men who were responsible, by using their own private language to aid the United States during World War II. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (paytonpuppy)
Danny is struggling when it comes to his heritage which hasn’t always led to the best decisions. The death of his grandfather has affected him greatly which led to an unforgettable night with Luci. He knows that he needs to find direction with his life so he joins the Navy SEALs, and it will be a year before he returns.
Luci is strong, independent and will do anything for those she loves. Working on the reservation allows her to be there for her family and she has no consideration of the risk it means for her. When Danny returns the feelings between them are stronger than ever and she might just have someone who is willing to protect her as she protects others.
Suspense and romance combine as Luci and Danny join forces to protect those who are most vulnerable and the culture that is a huge part of who they are.
Luci Tohe is content as a teacher, but keeping her family out of trouble is another matter. Her mother brings home dangerous men and her sister is caught up in it when one of those men sends another to her. When Luci meets Danny Begay, she decides that she can afford one night to herself before he leaves. After their night together, Danny begins his journey to becoming a Navy SEAL. His cousin is also in the service and Danny wants to follow in his footsteps. When Danny returns to the reservation, he finds Luci again and attempts to help out when her family is put into immediate danger.
If you're looking for a story about the journey from civilian to SEAL, this is the book for you.
*I received this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
I found this interesting in how after his grandfather's death Danny enlists determined to be the best he can be, turning his life around and meeting Luci. This changes the course of both their lives. It's actually a threat very close to home that sparks the most danger leading to some exciting suspense. I found the history and code talking of the Indians most interesting, I have heard of this before and them being involved during the war. For someone UK born and bred and never having travelled, the lifestyle and customs are something quite unknown, so have only picked up bits from war documentary or books. Fascinating though after growing up watching westerns to get this other side of that. Great plot and wonderful characters.
Danny Began has tried to stop the voices of his ancestors most of his young life His mother takes him back her people after her husband disappeared. He gets summoned back to his Navajo roots in Arizona when his grandfather is on his death bed. He meets Luck Your at a bar and they spend the night together and she ends pregnant. She teaches at the reservation school, safeguarding her mother and little sister. His grandfather was one of the original Navajo Code Talkers. He decides to go back to California and join the Navy Seal. When he goes back to Arizona he finds he has a son. He decides to marry the mother. Girls is disappeared and he comes back when her sister disappeared to help rescue her
SEAL’s Code: SEAL Brotherhood is book 3 in the Bad Boys of SEAL team 3 by Sharon Hamilton and another great read.
Stepping into the cultural history of the Native Americans, of which Danny and Luci belong, their relationship, him joining the SEALs, then returning home to a little surprise and saying farewell to his grandfather and hopefully accepting his gift as a Code Talker. Then the unthinkable happens…young girls go missing..what happens next is full of emotion, action, suspense, romance and more…
I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy (ARC) of this book from BookSprout . All thoughts and opinions are my own.
To be honest I hated the first 1/3 of the book. The hero was conceited, idiotic and you just wanted to punch him in the face. Even when he first gets into the military, he was still this way. However, I think something sunk into his head by the time he finished up and became a SEAL. Too bad he was so late getting to know about his child and knowing more about the heroine. I'm glad he finally stepped up and became a man and protected his family.
I liked the heroine and her struggles which is what kept me reading. However, I didn't gel too much with the hero in this one.
Danny is coming home to say goodbye to his grandfather who is on his death bed while also having a one nightstand with Luci. Being the screw up that he is, Danny decides to clean up his life by becoming a SEAL. About a year later, he's a SEAL and is going home before he deploys and learns that he has a son. He and Luci reconnect and decide to try and make things work, but when Danny deploys, danger looms on the reservation. Can Danny somehow protect Luci and her family while he's over seas?
This thrilling story had me all caught up in Danny and Luci. He had a few issues that he needed to clean up and in doing so goes back for the girl who was always on his mind Luci. When he learns that she and her family is in danger he goes to help out. Will he and Luci finally get their chance for happiness. I loved how this story unfolds around the Indian reservation along with its culture and people.

SEAL's Code, Book 3 of Bad Boys of SEAL Team 3, written by the SEAL book queen, Sharon Hamilton. Danny Begay is a man who draws strength from his Navajo roots. He met Luci one fine night and left her with the gift of life before walking out of her life. I love the way Danny becomes grounded by his Grandfather and talks to him all of the time. Its just a great story of attraction, family, lies, love and some lust thrown in for good measure.
Awesome writing about Danny and Luci. This starts when they meet and travel through their lives. They have obstacles in the beginning and work through most of them without having problems. Danny becomes a SEAL and wants to get Luci away from the res. Luci's sister gets kidnapped, and the clock is running on getting her back safely. Will Danny and Luci have a happily ever after with their son? Will Sarah be returned safe?
Another suspense filled military romantic tale from this fantastic author. Danny and Luci are a great couple who must overcome issues from their past, but also the danger which threatens them in the present. How they navigate these dangers and learn to rely on each other, added to my enjoyment of this book. Don’t miss this one!
