Maggie Hill was born in Norfolk, Virginia, USA, daughter of George Blair and Dorothy (Mason) Hill. She also writes under the pen names of M. H. Вярата ми в ескейпизма се завърна. През 12-ти век, средновековна Шотландия, насред партидата волове, прасета и кудкудящаи кококошки, част от редовния данък към краля, един неохотен кралски бирник намира момиче в сватбени одежди. Местният феодал му я връчва без право на връщане, тъй като преди това я е отвлякъл от близкия манастир, но тя е показала способности на вещица, което заедно с обвиненията за похищение от монахините, са крайно неудобни.
Следват корабокрушение, тамплиери с тайна мисия, предсказания, цигански катун, среща с краля, тъмница и хепи енд. Заедно с толкова битови и реално исторически детайли от епохата, плюс явен сарказъм, че е сигурна рецепта за неангажиращо прекарване.
Но това все пак не е New Adult като лудата мисис Шен (все едно има антропологическа разлика със стария adult, ах тези луди американки), а си е стара школа. Не знаеш какво точно да очакваш, но поне е забавно.
