"Sting" was a little different than the previous books from the Spark Series. In this story, Jennifer Ryder has taken a break from the motocross world and devoted some time to Detective Ryan Clark. There wasn't a motorbike or a motocross rider in sight but I didn't mind that one bit! I was looking forward to getting to know more about this detective. If you've followed this series you may remember Ryan from the second book in the series "Spike". However, it is not essential that you have read any of the previous books in the series as this can be read as a standalone.

When I first met Ryan in "Spike", I wasn't sure if I truly liked him, however now that I've had the opportunity to get to know him, I have to say that I really do like his character. Ryan was not only sexy but he was funny, caring and thoughtful and he was extremely passionate about his job. He was now an undercover cop and in this story, I saw him take on a dangerous assignment in the town of Fremantle. This was also the town where
Willow Asher (AKA Blondie) lived and worked. I've always been a sucker for a damsel in distress. And Blondie was clearly distressed.

Willow was such a sweet and bubbly girl with the funniest little quirks that had me laughing out loud. I warmed to her character immediately. Willow's life wasn't all unicorns and rainbows, though. She was hiding something, something so awful that she had to keep it a secret. I found myself attempting to second guess what Willow was hiding and how the story would go but I got it completely wrong! Whatever had happened to her, I hoped that it wouldn't come between her relationship with Ryan.
Is it selfish that I don't want to walk away? That I'm toying with the fact that I want something with Ryan, despite the risks?

When Ryan first met Willow, she immediately captured his attention and he became determined to get to know her better. As the story continued, the couple became closer. I loved watching their relationship grow. Willow and Ryan made a super cute couple. They just adored one another and it made me happy to see them together. Life was good for them. However I knew that there would be rough time times ahead. Willow and Ryan both had their own secrets and I worried about what would happen once their secrets were exposed.
How can I tell her how I feel about her when she doesn't know the truth about me?
Because Ryan was an undercover cop, it was impossible for him to share that side of his life with Willow so he was living a lie and everyday that lie got more and more difficult to live with. It was like a ticking time bomb that was about to go off at any moment. I felt so sorry for Ryan as he battled against the endless amount of guilt that he felt towards Willow. He was getting frustrated with the constant lies that he had to tell her when all he really wanted to do was be truthful. I prepared myself for a stormy ride!
"You make me want things I've never dreamed of, and I only want them with you."
I enjoyed reading this story and the characters that it contained. Not just Willow and Ryan, but I also became fond of Gabby and Mick. I found that Gabby was hilarious, the banter that she shared with Willow put a huge smile on my face. I loved the relationship that she had with Willow and also with Mick. Gabby and Mick appeared to make a great couple and I was intrigued to know more about them, both together and individually. I really hope that this wasn't the last time that I heard from the pair because I would love for them to get a book of their own in the future.

"Spike" was another enjoyable addition to the series and I rated it ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Jennifer had me sucked in with Ryan's character as an undercover police officer. He had me intrigued with previously being featured through the previous books of the series, so I was definitely looking forward to his story.

Well boy didn't Jennifer Ryder deliver, not only was it the best of the series, the suspense, emotion and romance throughout the story had me gripping on the edge of my seat scared as to what would unexpectedly unfold with each page.

Ryan has been given a new placement in which sends him across the country to Fremantle. There he meets the lovely local cafe barista owner Willow, who captures his eye. However with Ryan's job, brings so much baggage if he begins a new relationship. However with their chemistry and flirtation, they both couldnt refuse to deny each other.

Throughout the story, untold truths are revealed from secrets they both are keeping to themselves. However with revealing these secrets come consequences. This brings a twist and mystery to both worlds but also to their relationship. With so much against them to be together, Ryan and Willow battle it out to find a way to make it worth!

So many hilarious moments through with from the secondary characters which ground quite a few great laughs.

Overall, a fantastic romance novel that was thoroughly enjoyed from beginning to end!

Here are a couple of my favourite quotes from the book

Ooooh, honey. Those eyes are pure dark chocolate, and you know how hot I get for chocolate.
- Gaby

I'm also due for my daily Blondie fix. After waking up this morning with a hard-on that King Kong would be proud of, I need to see her pretty face. - Ryan

My gentle giant makes me laugh, makes my body sing, and above all, he's given me the hope that I can have a normal life, and have someone special to share it with. - Willow

Sting by Jennifer Ryder is the fourth book in her Spark series. This story can be read as a stand-alone but I'm definitely going back for the previous books after this read.

Also, it took a little getting used to the Aussie lingo for some things. Originally hailing from the UK it wasn't as hard as it may be for others but it really lends a great cultural taste to the story. A refreshing change to having it be "Americanized".

The romance that slowly builds between Ryan and Willow is angst-filled and builds the tension of the story. Mix in the under-cover cop storyline and I was sold.

Loved every page. Can't wait for more.

Book 4 in the Spark Series has arrived. And… just dayum… This book focuses on Ryan Clark. Yes, that tall, dark drink of water we met in Spike and saw bits and piece of since then. The hot as sin undercover cop who has a hard-on for the ladies and a way about him that makes hearts thud and panties drop. And just.. sweet baby Jesus, he’s sex on legs.. just yeah. In all honesty, if I could give this book higher than a 5 I would. I loved them all, the whole series is awesome but this particular one is just fin-fucking-nominal. (nods lots) Its totes a 8.5… best 8 and a half hours I’ve spent nose deep in a book! HA!

The feel roller-coaster was in high demand during this book. I laughed, cried and swore like a sailor a few times. Plus Jennifer is helping me add to my “what in the hell is that?” Aussie dictionary. (laughs) I can’t wait for the next installment in this series.

***small spoiler alert***

When Ryan Clark is offered yet another undercover gig he jumps at the opportunity. Not only is he trying to prove himself to the men and teams around him, he’s doing something that he loves. Dedication is one thing he has going for him…. well okay one of many but still, he’s a good cop. As long as he can keep his dick in his pants. When he arrives at his new location in Fremantle things are looking good. He is close to the beach and his surfboard has missed him. Finding a coffee shop, a random act of finding a good cuppa… means he meets a girl that catches his eye. He is a man after all. But when Willow, the little barista sees him it turns out she has seen him before and with a lot less clothes on. Seems the time he spends at the beach has caught her attention. Even if he doesn’t know it yet. Gabby though, the red head who makes it blatantly obvious she is ogling him enjoys getting to them both.

When he meets up with the other undercover already on the case in hand things start to pick up. Lets just say, Ryan does not have his sea legs yet. I almost feel sorry for him.. almost. (laughs hard) But it means he is late going to his now.. (dare I say it?) favorite cafe? The little blonde who caught his eye the first day is what he is really going for. Men are so predictable. As he makes a habit of frequenting the little cafe his admiration for Willow or blondie as he calls her grows. Its obvious they need to man up (so to speak) and take that plunge. Talk more than a few words together. Go out, do something.. creative. (grins) But when a conversation they have over gardening of all things sparks a memory for Ryan (As his mum likes to garden) he makes a plan. If she is too busy to keep up with the gardening, maybe he can help her out that way.

So with the help of Gabby giving her address to him Ryan uses his day off to stake out her garden, her yards really and makes a plan of action. Including making time to go to the cafe at opening and get his cuppa. One he gets back to Willow’s house from the hardware store (plants, wood and tools in tow) he gets busy. Remaking potting beds, trimming hedges and anything else he can find that needs to be done. Hours later he has it all done and is exhausted. He manages to fall asleep on her swing. So when Willow comes home and there is a strange truck in her drive she gets pissed. Then she sees the hedges have been trimmed.. she assumes Gabby has sent a yard man over for her. Well in a way I guess she did. (laughs) But all she finds besides her new planter boxes is a passed out Ryan snoring on her porch swing.

When she gets a good look around at the hard work he put in she is overwhelmed. Her had done that for her. (I’d have been all over him like white on rice.. just saying.) Once he shows off his handy work Ryan asks her to his house for dinner. Thankfully the man has a few skills and can follow a recipe so when they get to his place they have a hearty stew waiting on them. After dinner is finished Willow offers to clean up while he showers quickly. Once that shower is over though.. the night doesn’t end. They spend a few hours really getting to know each other…. in a biblical way. But the next morning when he wakes she is gone. Thankfully that does not discourage him in any way. He is determined if nothing else. Willow keeps her secrets closer to her now but is able to push them back enough to actually start enjoying her time (when she can get it) with him. Weeks later they have a nice routine in place to the point that Ryan’s feelings for her have grown even more. So much that he promises her that ‘he will never hurt you again” because he knows (call it a cops instincts) that she was hurt before. And now he just wants to keep her safe.

Ryan even contemplates getting permission to tell her who he is and what he does. That in itself says a lot. But now the question is does he really want to lay this on top of her? Would it be too much for her to handle? The next day he has free he goes, of course to the cafe first and find her (Willow) in a not so good mood but tells her he has plans for them. And when he shows up later that night she sees a clean shaven, semi dressed up tall hunk of a man at her door. She definitely approved of the fresh looking man before her. Once she was dressed he took her out on an actual date. A nice Italian restaurant, dinner, wine and a little (coughs) playtime on the beach. That’s when she lets it slip that today was her birthday. Ya know the born on date not the fake on she was given when she was relocated. She is emotional to say the least. Thankfully Ryan had made tonight all about her and making it special. Even if he didn’t know.

Their relationship is steadier and growing heavy in the way they both feel but one night while working (aka spying on the enemy and making a move) Gabby, Willow and their friend Sarah happen to walk into the pub they are in. Well both Ryan and Mick (his undercover partner) decide to use the free time before Ryan is to make the ‘buy’ from Bones to hang with the girls. They dance and have a good time. But fate had other plans after that. Ryan goes out to the alleyway and makes a buy from Bones.. but what he doesn’t count on is Willow ‘needing air’ and catching him in the act. Her past comes back and slaps her hard in the face. She freaks the feck out on Ryan when he tries to calm her down. And… as the days pass they both suffer. Ryan tries to go to her house and tell her what’s going on but he hurtful words throw him off his game so they are back to square one. Ryan tries to give her space. Willow tries to move on but her heart is breaking. Broken really. She can’t go down the ‘I love a druggie’ path anymore. And its killing Ryan that he can’t tell her what’s going on.

After a couple of days, a very long week and a few more awful days Gabby notices more changes in Willow. More than the bags under her eyes and her foul mood. Was she pregnant? Or was it just PMS? She decided to get a test on the way home and see. Well 3 tests and a mild panic attack later she has 3 very positive tests. Willow. Is. Pregnant. With. Ryan. Clark’s. Baby! (happy dances) Though she is happy, scared and about to flip her shit she doesn’t know what to do. Needing air she run to her car and heads for the beach. She just needs to think. Clean fresh air can help. What she doesn’t count on is that Ryan has been (coughs) stalking (coughs) her since the break up. So when he sees her fly out of her house and high tail it down the road he follows.. and when he finds her on the beach he decides to put caution to the wind and his career on the line to say fuck it. He tells her he in an undercover cop. And of course she doesn’t believe him. Not until he tells her what she is hiding from. Seems Mr Ryan was not going to lose her. He called in a favor, did some snooping pieced together what he wasn’t told.

When she figures out he is telling her the truth, I mean how can he not be with what he knows about her. No one knows that… she’s thrown for another loop. How was she supposed to handle that news on top of everything else? She needs time.. he is willing to give her that. After getting a call from Mick he finds out tomorrow is D day (so to speak). He will have an early morning and an even longer day tomorrow but starting now he decides to text Willow as many truth’s as he can until its bed time. This of course is what she needed to see now. Its the small things that make you grow as a couple and fall in love. He is putting in the effort as he gives her time away.

Ryan and Mick’s day sitting out in the water, in the water ‘fishing’ is really spent watching the boat in the water not too far from them. All they need is to get the pictures they need. Then the Coastguard and others who are on standby are notified they’ve had action and.. the shit day goes straight to hell. In a hand basket. A fiery one at that. The yacht they had been watching, the one behind this shit storm of drugs and corruption. Then, it happens. The worst thing to happen during an undercover sting. They were busted. The bad guys boarded the boat and they (Ryan and Mick) both went down. Before he can call for help Ryan blacks out. By the end of the day both Gabby and Willow are dead on their feet. An hour to go and they’ll be out of here. What they didn’t know was that with one phone call both of their lives would be upturned and in a mad rush to get to the hospital.

They see Mick first thing when they get in the hospital and its Mick that has to break the news to Willow that Ryan had been shot. He’d lost a lot of blood and was in surgery. To say she lost her shit would be putting it lightly. Not that anyone could blame her. When the Doctor finally comes to tell her he made it through surgery she is relieved. She would get to tell him that she loved him. As the Doctor gets ready to leave he is paged and nurse runs to tell him “he’s crashing”. What told her it was Ryan, I don’t know but Willow runs after the Doctor and when she gets to the room she sees Ryan being shocked. She goes into hysterics and is drug out of the room. Then… as if this day couldn't get any worse she has a pain in her lower belly and then there is blood running down her thighs. That’s all she saw before the world went dark.

Thankfully Mick was at his side when Ryan woke up. He was in bad shape, hurting like hell and panicking to get a phone to call Willow. When Mick told him he had called her and that she was there in the hospital he needed to see her. But when Mick told him she had been admitted, the big teddy bear was demanding. He wanted out of the bed and now. He called the nurse and of course she did not want to let him out of bed… but that did not stop until Mick had him in a wheelchair and out of the room. When he went to her room he found her sleeping. Right after she woke up she was elated to see him. But then had to tell him what happened. And finally they got an answer to the lingering question. Was there a baby still in her… would they get the chance to be a real family. A family built of love.

When the babies heart beat started to play in the room they both knew there lives would never be the same again.

I have been a fan of Jennifer Ryder’s work ever since her first book, “Spark”, came out last year. Her ability to create stories with believable and relatable characters always draw me in, and ever since she introduced us to Detective Ryan Clark in “Spike”, I have been very curious to find out if this very sexy man would end up surprising me. I am happy to say that he has – and in the best possible way.

Being an undercover cop has its ups and downs, but Ryan loves his job, despite the sacrifices he has to make whenever he is working on one. This time, he is moving to the small town of Fremantle in order to bust a major drug cartel, but it does not take long before this charismatic man gets more than he bargained for.

Willow Asher, the local barista is a very guarded, but attractive woman, and Ryan quickly becomes rather intrigued by her. Granted, her beauty is what catches his attention first – he is a man, after all – but the way she conducts herself whenever he is around soon makes him realise that here is a woman who has the ability to make Ryan think about more than his career: could she be the woman he, unknowingly, has been waiting for? Equally important, how is it fair to start a relationship with someone when he cannot be completely honest about whom he is? Finally, what secrets is Willow keeping, and will she find herself able to confide in Ryan eventually?

Read the book and these questions will be answered.

Like I said in the beginning of this review, Ryan took me by surprise. I was already aware of the fact that he loves his job, and that he is very good at it, too, but what made me fall head over heels in love with him was experiencing the love he has for his family, his sense of loyalty to the people closest to him, and, finally, the way he does not seem to be reluctant to let his feelings for Willow develop. This man truly has the biggest heart rarely seen: he is a protector, a friend, and, yes, a very sexual man – but what woman in their right mind does not long for these three character traits in a partner? I cannot think of a single one. Moreover, he has a wicked sense of humour that made me snort-giggle, or downright laugh, sometimes; lastly, the fact that he becomes a bit of a romantic sap – his own words, not mine – when he realises the depth of his feelings for Willow made me swoon completely. Ryan felt so real to me, and you all know how much I appreciate that in the books I read.

Willow is quirky, sweet, and rather funny as well when she lets her guard down. Being forced to uproot her life and ending up a successful business owner, making some good out of a horrible situation, made me admire her a great deal. Her circumstances in life also made me very sad, and I found myself glued to my Kindle, near desperate to learn what had happened to her: she is quite a mystery. However, the way she, in the end, allows herself to let go, both emotionally and sexually, was a joy to experience. My romantic heart was almost filled to burst when Willow finally realises that there is not only darkness and fear in the world - no, there is also light and hope , even for her. So, yes, I developed quite a girl crush on her.

As always, Miss Ryder’s storytelling skills are incredible. Her passion for her story and her characters shine through, and her ever-present wit and dry humour made me lose myself, forgetting about the real world for a few hours. If I did not need to sleep sometimes, I believe I would have read “Sting” in one sitting, actually – that is how immersed I was in this romance novel.

This review would not be complete if I failed to mention Gabs – Willow’s friend and business partner – because this character is simply hilarious! Despite her own past heartaches, she has managed to pull herself up and lead a life that is pretty close to perfect for her and her daughter, Sienna. Trust me when I say that the antics of this woman will have you laughing so hard that you will come pretty close to pee your pants.

If you, like me, already are a fan of Miss Ryder, I am sure you have bought a copy of “Sting” by now. However, if you are new to the Spark Series, I will have to urge you to pick them up asap. In my honest opinion, you do not have to read the first three books in the series in order to enjoy “Sting” – it can definitely be read as a standalone novel – but I would still recommend them to all lovers of romance novels: these books will make you laugh, cry, swoon, and even slightly turned on.

Miss Ryder, thank you for giving us the story of Ryan and Willow. It has been a real pleasure getting to know them.

*I was kindly given an ARC by the author for an honest review - thanks Jennifer!*

Is there anything hotter than a protective alpha male whose also happens to be an undercover cop? Well...if he wasn't undercover he'd wear a uniform...but still Ryan Clark... he is hold-the-phone-panty-melting-HOT!

I (unfortunately) haven’t read the first 3 books in this series before receiving my ARC so I read Sting purely as a standalone. It was also the first book I’d read from Jennifer Ryder and it definitely won’t be the last! I fully intend to go back and read the first few books in the series now.

Ryan Clark is an undercover cop, working to infiltrate and bring down the major drug circuits. Moving up the ranks he’s thrilled to be involved in such a big case after his last one didn’t go as planned when he got involved with a woman whilst undercover. Determined to not mess up this time he vows to focus purely on the job when he moves across the country to a small coastal town to become Ryan Palmer, the new apprentice boat mechanic.

Like any other self-respecting person he can’t start his day properly without his hit of caffeine. Walking into the best looking café he can find he wasn’t prepared for the blonde beauty behind the counter. First day on the job and he’s already lusting after a woman – something he promised he wouldn’t do this time.

Getting involved with a woman when your whole life in her eyes is a lie is never going to be easy.

Willow Asher has worked hard to create a good life for herself. After a troubled past she’s moved across the country to escape…but not by choice.

Having left her family behind all that time ago and starting again with nothing she’s finally made something for herself and beginning to truly feel happy – but not safe. Constantly on edge and unable to trust, she doesn’t let many people in, apart from her fabulous bestie Gabby and the little girl who will melt your heart called Sienna.

When Mr Sexy Brown-Eyes (aka Ryan) walks into the café she isn’t prepared for the instant attraction she feels. Scared and ruled by the past life that she’s kept a secret, she pushes him away. But Ryan is persistent, charming and has a way with words with a smile to match that would melt the panties off of any red-blooded woman.

But having spent so long hiding who she is and keeping everyone at arms length will Willow ever be able to let someone like Ryan, a man who obviously has secrets of his own, in?

With both of them living a lie but unable to deny the attraction between them, will Ryan and Willow be able to put aside the identities they’ve adopted to save each other and accept the love between them?

I loved each and every character in Sting but for very different reasons. Willow carries so much pain and vulnerability from the life she left behind and yet she has so much strength and determination to overcome her fears and live the life she’s always dreamed about. Ryan is this protective alpha male who exudes so much masculinity but behind it all he wants to settle down and love a woman the way she deserves to be. The way he sets out to prove to Willow that not all men are untrustworthy is just so romantic – I mean the garden? That definitely made my heart squeeze!! As for the secondary characters – Gabby? Gosh I bloody love her!!! Sienna is just too cute and Mick (Ryan’s partner on the case) is pretty damn funny too!

A swoon-worthy alpha male and a heartbroken leading lady determined to find her happiness again Sting is a story of second chances that will teach you undercover cop romances are certainly something to get hot under the collar about. This may be my first Jennifer Ryder book but it won’t be my last!

PS. tissues, chocolate and new panties are advised during the reading of this novel.

Sting is a slight departure from the previous books in the Spark series. There aren’t any hot MX riders this time around or the familiar setting of the MX circuit. It isn’t at a fast pace either as this story is set at a laidback pace for a number of reasons. Instead we have the sexy detective Ryan Clark who has been an important secondary character in the series since Spike . We have been hinted that there more to the good looks and I have been waiting for Ryan to finally get his story.

In built with a need to protect, but not adverse to have a fun with the ladies . We have heard his stories from Adrian in Strike of the antics he got up to but never got a good feel who he is. I wanted to have first hand experience of this sexy detective and the author finally give us that with Sting.

Sting as you expect follows the tradition of book titles that hit of what yet to come. The author weaves another beautiful story of finding the one and starting over. Willow Aster knows what is like to fall in love and have it all. She also knows what is like to lost it all in one moment after discovering the hard hitting truth. She has survived but she holds the scars of those times close to heart, not ready to let go. The only light in her life is Gabby who has experience a similar world and together they have built up their business from the ground and now she feels like she got her own place in the world. She isn’t the girl she was two years ago when she was forced to pack up and leave everything she knew. That life is buried and she wants it to stay that way, there is no room for any man in her life.
With her heart closed of , she has resigned herself never to find someone else to love, not willing to go through the heartbreak again. Until Ryan walks into her café and sets her world on fire, as once Ryan has met her , he can’t get her out his head. Despite not even knowing her name or anything about her, he is attracted and determined to know her no matter what .

Things have changed since we last saw Ryan, he moved on from his previous role and has been offered a role in a big sting. Ryan is undercover as fisherman trying to become part of the community as Ryan Palmer , the new man in town. However that goes out of the window when he meets Willow at her café and feels something for her the from the first moment, he sees her. Everything changes in that moment, his job become second priority as the beautiful blonde has captivated him.

And it hard going for Ryan as this detective has been stopped in his tracks by Willow. Both shaped by their pasts and the fact that Ryan is undercover. Willow is shaken by the new developments in her life. Deny the bond all she wants , Ryan has determined he needs to protect her and that prove that he isn’t what she thinks he is.

Sting is a welcome addition to the series, which finally gives Ryan the story that he deserves and us the chance to see what is behind the man born to protect and serve. It was a nice change from the previous instalments in the series. With a new cast of characters and new world aside from the familiarity of the previous books, I enjoyed this sea change and hope this isn’t the last of some of the secondary characters we meet in this book as like others before them, they have worked their way into my heart.

If you didn’t love Ryan before, this book will definitely change your mind and for me only reinforced why I love Ryan

5 couples.

It's no secret that I was eagerly awaiting Ryan's book, when I was first introduced to Cassie's brother in Spike I was intrigued, sure I know Aiden was the hero but I couldn't help being swept up by the charming police Detective, his innate need to protect and serve had me wrapped around his little finger. When he was came to the surface again in Strike , it only fuelled my hunger for this sexy leading man, his kinky side only further served to intrigue me.

I was excited for this book, eager to know more about his life, and I wasn't disappointed. Willow Asher has been through hell and back, after surviving more pain and hurt than anyone ever should she's finally free to start to live her life again, with the help of Gabby her business partner, Willow has carved out her place in the town she now calls home, as far as she's come from the girl who left everything she knew behind two years ago, she's still not ready to move on and find someone new, to let someone in and to trust a man again. When Ryan Palmer comes walking into to her café wanting a coffee Willow has no idea that her life is about to change.

Detective Ryan Clark is undercover posing as a fisherman in a small coastal township, as Ryan Palmer he is the smooth, charming, new man in town. Waltzing into a busy café for his much needed caffeine hit, he stumbles upon Willow, feeling an instant attraction Ryan is suddenly caught by knowing he should stay away and simultaneously wanting to know more about the beguiling blonde haired beauty.

Where the previous books in the Spark series have been fast and action packed, Sting is set at a slower pace, Willow has been burnt in the past and forced to move away from everything she knew and loved, starting over as someone new, and Ryan lives his life pretending to be someone else, these two characters have so much to hide, but despite trying desperately at times to stay away from one another, their soul deep connection, and intense attraction proves impossible to halt.

What I loved so much in Sting was the sheer strength and protective nature Ryan shows, his need to prove to Willow that not all men will hurt her is endearing, his ability to give her love in a way that her trauma riddled mind can accept is endearing. All four leading characters have pasts and baggage, in it's most simple description Sting is a story of second chances, of love and of overcoming past hurts to find yourself on the other side. Where Ryan seems like the alpha in this budding relationship, it's Willow's quiet strength, the courage of her convictions and even her vulnerability that had me so enamoured with her. With quirky best friend Gabby, and Ryan's partner Mick, Ryder once again proves that she can seamlessly create an ensemble cast of characters that grab you by the collar and demand your attention. Going from strength to strength, Jennifer Ryder has me in a state of reading readiness, awaiting my next trip into her world.

This is the first book I have read by Author Jennifer Ryder and it most certainly will not be my last. I absolutely fell in love with Jennifer’s writing style. She has a way with words that sucks you right into the story as if you are walking along side her characters.

From the moment I started reading I was captivated with this story. I fell in love with both Willow and Ryan. Both leads have complex stories that you just want to know more about.

The supporting character’s Jennifer weaved into the story had me laughing to the point of crying on numerous occasions. Gabs and Sienna stole a piece of my heart as well. Gabs would have me rolling with one of her crazy saying. And little Sienna won me over with “Mussies,” god that little girl was adorable.

I am an absolute sucker for a HOT ALPHA MALE COP! And Jennifer Ryder did not disappoint with Ryan Palmer. Good lord I do not even know where to start with him. Ryan is just mouth watering. This man had me in the palm of his hand from the very first chapter. He loved his family, job, and Willow more than anything.

“Sugar” she breathes against my chest. She slowly tilts back her head and glances up at me through her long lashes. Her stunning baby-blue eyes knock the wind clean out of me. ~ Ryan

Ryan fell for Willow very early on. She captivated him with her innocent charm and sweet smiles. He just had to know who she was. And once he got a taste for who she was he had me swooning like a fool!

This man can turn on the charm like no other. And I love the fact he called his sis for advice. He wanted to know what to do about it and asked others even if he felt his man card was being hit.

Willow had been through hell. She was not looking for a relationship. She had been hurt badly and kept her distance from everyone. She felt that pull towards Ryan and fought it tooth and nail. Good thing Ryan would not give up on her.

I love how Ryan would fluster Willow and she’d say “Sugar or Holy sharks” instead of cursing. It was too cute and fit beautifully with her character.

Once Willow finally gave into her desire for Ryan these two heated up the book pages. Lord mercy these two are were HOT together. And every time Ryan found out he was the first she did something with I laughed out loud at this chest puffing. It was perfect. I was waiting for his “Mine! All mine!”

The love and encouragement Ryan gave to Willow anytime she needed it made my heart swell. He wanted her to know he did not care about what anyone thought about either of them. Just what she thought. Seriously, if Ryan cannot get you to swoon something is wrong!

The end of this book was perfect. Jennifer could not have wrote it any better. She left me smiling, swooning, and dying for more. Please give me more of these two!! I beg of you too!

*** I was gifted a copy by the Author in exchange for an honest review***

I am eternally grateful to Jennifer Ryder for kindly gifting me a copy after I forgot to tick Review on the Release Blitz - to say that was eagerly awaiting this book is an understatement, we are first introduced to the delicious Ryan in in Spike, and he intrigued me to the point of asking the author if he was getting his own book. we also got to know a little bit more about him in Strike, he is a little bit naughty, but oh so nice!

I have counted the days down and Jennifer Ryder did it again!

The Female Main character is Willow after having to move across the country to escape a past that haunts her dreams and make it hard to trust, she is now trying to make a life for herself with her business partner Gabby running a café.

When Ryan comes into to the café for his caffeine fix, both ladies appreciate the delicious specimen standing in front of the counter, But for Ryan its the shy Willow that catches his eye.

Ryan is in town working undercover he knows his mind should be on the job but he can't stop thinking of Willow. Ryan has been watching his friends and family settle down and start families, he realises his hedonistic ways of the past are not really what he wants now, he looks at Willow and sees the future he want, now all he needs to do is convince Willow.

As Ryan gets to know Willow his detective skills deduce she is hiding a secret and very wary of him, he takes his time to woo her and I just loved how this Rough Tough Detective who has loved em and left them before does an about turn and brings out the big guns in the Romance department.

Willow finally gives Ryan the chance to court her, she lets her guard down and they seem on the right track, but one incident nearly derails their relationship, and the suspense had me gripping my kindle as I prayed that it would all work out in the end.

Willow's BFF Gabby and Ryan's Undercover partner Mick, are also worthy secondary characters that I loved reading about during the story, I think that Jennifer Ryder is definitely an author to watch, she is going from strength to strength in her writing.

This book can be read as a stand alone - but I am glad that I read the other books first, as I understand Ryans character is more than ready for a change.

Five Awesome Stars - I didn't put this book down till it was finished!

Another amazing addition to the Spark series by Jennifer Ryder!
Sting is book 4 in the series and can be read as a stand alone.

We couldn't wait to get our hands on Detective Clark’s book and true to Jennifer’s style she didn't disappoint us with this emotionally charged book.

Willow Asher hasn't had an easy life, she has been through more than any person should. With a past that constantly haunts her she finds it hard to trust others. She has started off fresh in a new town, she owns and runs a coffee shop with her friend Gabby, having Gabby in her life is just what she needs, she is full of life and doesn't hold back. Content with life as it is, she is thrown off balance when the delicious 'brown eyes' walks through the door for a caffeine fix. Life as Willow knows it is about to change...

Ryan has moved to a small town by the beach where he is working undercover as a fisherman, trying to bring down a drug cartel. Stepping into Willow and Gabby’s cafe for coffee he feels an instant attraction to Willow, her guarded personality only fueling his attraction to her. He wants to know more about her. Although being undercover does come with its obstacles, he is determined to get to know Willow.

Ryan's mind is constantly wondering back to Willow, he can't stop thinking about her. She is a breath of fresh air, Willow isn't the type of girl he wants to have fun with, he can see a future with her. He pulls out new moves to try and win over Willow. Detective Ryan will have you swooning!

Willow slowly starts to let her guard down giving Ryan a chance, there relationship is full of desire and attraction and the chemistry is off the charts. Unbeknownst to Willow, things aren't always what they seem. Having her life crumble before her eyes in the past, this is a huge deal breaker for her. The suspense will have you flipping pages life a maniac.

The secondary characters Gabby, Willow's BFF and Mick, Ryan's uncover partner were great additions to this book. Gabby really adds that extra bit of flavour to Willow and Ryan's story.
This was a beautiful book full of hope, new beginnings and learning to trust after so much hurt. So different from the previous books in the series, we found ourselves so wrapped up in the beauty and gentleness. Ryan was a true gentleman and such a refreshing character so opposite to most “book boyfriends”. His character made us fall in love with him even more and Willow slowly opening up to him showing her personality was both heartbreaking and beautiful.

We can’t wait to see what Jennifer has next for us. We are keeping our fingers crossed for another book in this amazing series. If you haven't already read the previous books in the series we highly recommend them.

Received an ARC for an honest review.

WOW another fantastic book from Jennifer. Each time she writes a new book, she has me at the dedication. Something I think someone can take something from before you even get to the prologue.

This story is so very different from the rest of the series as you don't have any hot MX bikers to wet your panties, you have Detective Ryan Clark to do that for you.

Detective Ryan Clark aka "Brown Eyes" is an undercover agent and has just been given an assignment and is been sent to Fremantle WA (Western Australia). Ryan has been teamed up with a bit of a yobbo Mick but is a pretty cool guy in his mid 40's. The agent in charge of this case told him to not stuff it up like his last case, as in don't get mixed up with a woman. So Ryan thinking going to Fremantle to concentrate on work and surf. First day in town Ryan goes looking for a coffee and spot's a little coffee shop called Willow's. Walks in and it is quite busy but spots a petite blond girl behind the counter and pretty much from the first sighting he is done for.

Willow Asher aka "Blondie" owns a little coffee shop, is an amazing cook and has a crazy BFF called Gabs who also works with her. Willow has a secret that nobody knows about not even Gabs. Willow had to restart her life in Fremantle and if it wasn't for meeting Gabs she would not know where she would be. Willow enjoys going down to the beach of an afternoon to relax until one arvo she spots a sexy man who is built and makes your panties wet. The next morning she spots Brown Eyes walking into her coffee shop and she is done for.

Ryan and Willow become friends thanks to Gabs and Ryan tries take it slow with being friends first but he can only hold for so long. One thing leads to another and finally become something more. Ryan starts to have feelings, feelings that he has never felt before and Willow has feelings that she would never think she would feel again. Secrets both are hiding from each other start to surface and makes this relationship hard. Willow finds Ryan doing something and ends it all without finding out the real reason why but Ryan can't say anything as it is apart of his job. In between the separation Willow finds out a little secret, what could it be? Will Ryan get the chance to explain to Willow what he does for a living? Will Willow get the chance to tell him the new secret she has and forgive Ryan?

I could not put this book down from the beginning to the end. Jennifer's writing has become unbelievable and the creative side is always something new.

If you have read the other MX series know that this has nothing to do with MX but if you loved the other books you will love this story. YOU will not be disappointed.

*********SPOILER ALERT *************

I fell in love with Jennifer Ryder’s Spark Series back in August 2014…. I read the first three within a few days….. and just couldn’t get enough of this series. Ms Ryder’s writing is clear and to the point….. you feel as though you are there with the characters and they are HOT HOT HOT…… this has definitely not changed with this latest book…… which I read within a day and loved every minute of it…..

We met Detective Ryan in Strike and he is one HOT Detective…. I like to call him Detective HOTTIE!!!!!!..... Ryan Clark goes undercover and heads to the other side of Australia to work in the beautiful coastal port city of Fremantle where he is trying to bust one of the country’s most dangerous drug syndicate.

Ryan heads into a local coffee shop and meets the beautiful “blonde” who owns the place called Willow….. they both feel an instant connection but Willow, who is currently in WITSEC, tries to keep her distance from Ryan.

Willow runs her café with her friend Gabby and has for the past 2 years..

Ryan calls Willow “Blondie” whereas she call’s Ryan “Mr Sexy-Brown-Eyes” even after they find out each others names they still use these for each other..

The interaction and love between these two characters is HOT….. I will never look at lemon meringue pie the same…..I loved the fact that Willow is an indie author girl at heart with having “Welcome to Sugartown” in her bookcase... ( I also love Carmen Jenner’s books)….

I had tears in my eyes when Ryan got shot twice and it was touch and go there for a while if he would make it through…. And then we discover that Willow is pregnant and nearly looses the baby… all before she has a change to tell Ryan….

To sum it up WHOLLY CUPCAKES!!!!!!! I previously thought Spencer from Strike was my favourite but not anymore… it’s Detective Hottie all the way…
I have loved all the books in this series so far but I think each one gets better and better….. I also loved that at the end of the book the characters were bought back to Melbourne and the suburb of Williamstown, which is a beautiful part of the city and Willow opens up a new café there called Willows of Willy…… Toby is such a cute name for a little baby……..

Again Congratulations to Jennifer Ryder is another fantastic 5 Star read…… ‘I cannot wait for the next one……..

4 1/2 out of 5 stars

This is the 4th book in a series, but it’s the first one I’ve read. I had never heard of the author before and went into the book blind (didn’t read the synopsis or know anything about what was to happen in the book). I am so glad I did it this way!

Willow and Ryan are both living false lives. Neither is being honest with those around them and neither is really happy with where they are. Willow owns a small cafe that serves coffee and small meals. Ryan is an undercover cop in town to help with a drug bust. His first morning he discovers the cafe and he’s hooked on not just the coffee, but the beautiful blonde woman he can’t learn enough about.

I enjoyed the playful banter between Willow and Ryan and I loved Willow’s best friend Gabby….and who wouldn't fall in love with Sienna, Gabby’s little girl. The story was always moving forward and both main characters developed and grew as the story progressed. One of my favorite parts of novels is really getting into the characters’ heads. One of the passages in this book that really spoke to me about who Willow is and wants to be came about a third of the way thru the book:

He cooks? Seriously? Next thing he’ll be telling me he’s got superhero powers and flights crime in his spare time. Hmm. A vision of Captain America comes to mind. Really, Ryan and him don’t look that dissimilar.

This passage is important to me because it shows she is still playful and interested in a relationship even if she thinks she’s turned her heart off to the outside world.

Ryan is a macho guy on the outside, but he is really as fragile as Willow. Before their first sex scene, he is really contemplating what this night of sex will mean for him:

The niggling feeling in my gut tells me that once I’m inside her, I’m giving her something I’ve never given anyone before. The power to weaken me. The power to break me.

As the novel progresses, they both get a little broken and then they both come together to heal. It’s a wonderful love story with some twists and drama thrown in to keep it exciting.

From page one I was sucked into this book! Jennifer has a way of weaving a story that pulls the reader in, and doesn’t let go until her story is finished. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can’t wait to see what Jennifer comes up with next!

Ryan is sent on an undercover job to bust a drug cartel. He’s determined to redeem himself after a previous job where he let himself think this the little head instead of the big one and almost busted the case. Though his head is in the right place this time, he can’t seem to shake the feelings he has for the gorgeous blonde that works in the coffee shop he goes to ever day. There is just something that draws him too her like a month to a flame.

Willow has major issues with men. I mean can you blame her, she’s had to up root everything to get away from her last boyfriend. But there is just something about the tall, sexy and brown eyed man that comes into her café. She doesn’t know what it is, but she can’t seem to keep the walls up when he’s around. He’s everything she’s ever imaged a man to be, but didn’t really think was out there.

Once these two finally get together its HOT! They fall into an easy relationship and never dig into each other’s pasts. However once secrets are revealed, are they able to keep the trust and the developing feelings of love for each other? Or will these secrets be too much and they walk their separate ways?

This was the first book I’ve read from Jennifer, and can be read as a standalone, but you better believe I’m going out and grabbing the other books in these series and reading those as well! If you’re looking for a book that has some hot steamy time, suspense and a sweet love story, this is the book for you! It’s got everything the everyday book lover would love to read!

Sting is an awesome read that deserves more than a 5 star rating. This is the book that will not only keep you up but will make you late for work. Willow has left everything behind and has restarted her life far away from family and friends. She has kept no ties to her past. Ryan has been sent to Perth undercover to investigate a drug cartel. He finds that not only does he have an addiction to the coffee but to the cute little lady that serves the coffee.

Willow has restarted her life and has built a great new family with her best friend Gabs and her little girl. But even with that great friendship, Willow still remains private and doesn’t share her past. Ryan doesn’t like lying to Willow but his job requires it. There are few times when Ryan’s job causes problems. And with Willow not sharing her past, it leaves Ryan in the dark and asking questions.

I couldn’t help feeling a connection to Willow if only that she shared my favorite goto movie, Sweet Home Alabama. She worked hard and then when she didn’t work spent time just chilling out with Josh Lucas. The intensity between Willow and Ryan was great. You could feel for both of them, knowing they couldn’t be totally upfront with each other but at the same time falling fast and hard.

Gabs cracked me up and I was glad to see her referred to as Willow’s sunshine. Gabs is one of those people that no matter what is a true friend and always upbeat. She is there for Willow no matter what. Sting did an excellent job at rounding out even the minor characters.

While it is the third in the series, it is a stand-alone and I didn’t need to read the first books to enjoy this one. It was also enjoyable to learn some Australian catch phrases and terms.

description

Everyone has secrets but what happens when two people hold secrets that can endanger the very thing they love about each other. Beautiful café owner Willow isn’t looking for any type of relationship but when a handsome stranger comes into her business one day it becomes hard to resist the charm of the gentle giant. But willow has a secret and it’s one she has been hiding from for a long time and for that reason she is afraid to let her heart lead her to what can be her forever.

Ryan has an even bigger secret and he is not who appears to be. Ryan lives the life of an undercover cop but what happens when your heart becomes involved while investigating a dangerous cartel? What will he do to save Willow from her past so they can have a future together?
Willow and Ryan will go through a lot to overcome the things they cannot control. They will have to believe and fight for their love and overcome the hurdles that are sent their way. Throughout their story they find that love comes when it is unexpected but is always worth it in the end .

This story was engaging from beginning till the end. This story lacked for nothing from the main characters to the plot and I enjoyed every second of it. Ms.Ryder gives a story that will hold you and have you to the very end. I laughed and even cried because this story was just so raw. There is a bit of everything; from romance, to drama and a scorching passion. I would definitely recommend this book and I will read the other books in this series of Standalone HEA.

Brown eyes and Blondie”… two unlikely people that met in the most unlikely of situations, take an adventure that leads them down a path of redemption, healing and discovery. This book was all of that for me. I learned that pain can be something so strong it is almost impossible to bear. Trust can be crippling and lust can be so powerful it burns you from the inside out. Willow and Ryan felt all of those things and more. They fought for the life they built as individuals and the life they will struggle to build together.

I really like the setting of this book! I LOVE books that are set in other countries from mine. I feel like I can take a trip and experience the story and let my imagination fly!! This story was exciting because it was sea side and I could feel the whimsy of the café and the breeze from the shore. I loved that the relationship could be as casual as the tide…the ebb and flow was beautiful.

I LOVED the characters also. I like the quick and quirky Gabby. She had me laughing throughout the whole book! She brought in the comic relief exactly when it was needed to keep the angst low. Willow and Ryan were beautiful. Coming from different worlds, they built a friendship that tested both of them. This was an amazing story line and character choice for sure.

I recommend this book highly. This books was an easy read for me and kept my interest the whole way thought. It had great flow and did not fill me with an empty story line. The author delivered a beautiful book. I give this book and easy 4 stars.

In Sting , Willow Asher hasn't had the easiest of lifes and when danger struck and she was caught in the middle of it , she did the one thing she could - she struck a deal to testify and found herself in the Witness Protection Programme. Now two years later, she has started a good life for herself with friends and her own coffee shop "Willow's" and besides her friends, she always has her Romantic-Comedy DVDs to keep her company especially Sweet Home Alabama, which also happens to be one of my favourites and was my Mum's favourite movie. Her life though is about to get a lot more complicated , when undercover cop Ryan turns up and decides that he is in love with Blondie aka Willow and wants to ask her out. Willow doesn't date or get close to anyone due to her past and Ryan is no different, but there is something about him that wants Willow to bring down her walls when he is around. What will happen though when they start dating and tragedy strikes which will cause Ryan to discover who Willow is really and will she forgive him for digging into her past ? When Ryan lands himself in hospital, Willow discover's she is pregnant , but can she raise a baby on her own or will Ryan turn out to be a survivor like herself and pull through ?

If you love Witness Protection Novels and Romantic Suspense novels, then check out the "Spark" series by Jennifer Ryder

This is the first book that I have read from this author. I shall be picking up the other books in this series as I really enjoyed this book.

This concept of book is totally my thing. I love a book with a romance and secrets and mystery, and hot cop action.

Ryan is an undercover cop, sent to a small town to infiltrate a drug cartel. This is his chance to prove his worth to the department after an unfortunate event in his last op involving a woman.

When Ryan arrives in town he decides to check out the local Cafe and is instanly attracted to the owner and barista Willow. Willow is equally attracted to Ryan too.

On the surface Willow is a beautiful young woman who has shunned men for the last few years as she had no trust in men and has been hurt so badly by the secrets of her past.

Willow and Ryan can't hide their attraction for long and they embark on a hot and steamy relationship.

Things come to a head when Ryan's job threatens the bond that they have built and Willows secret is unveiled.

I was just hooked to this book, I really loved all of this book, it fulfilled all the atributes I have in a read.

Oh my! Every time I read a book by Jennifer you can't help but laugh and swoon all over! She has an incredible sense of humour in the way she writes, it's like a breath of fresh air! I love it! Her writing style is fantastic! All the characters were great!!

This book is without a doubt brilliant!

Ryan Clark is just swoon worthy! Holy hotness! I just loved him!!
Willow runs a cafe near Ryan's apartment and once he goes there he is rather determined to find out more about her!

What I loved about this book was Willows sayings and Gabby's directness! The words coming out of both their mouths were so well done!
When things get heated you can't help but want to be in the book, experiencing what they do! Oh my!!!!!
When some things come to light and something bad happens it makes them both realize what their feelings are!!
Incredible book by Jennifer! I can't recommend this series highly enough and Ryan's book will blow you away or make you want some handcuffs lol!!
Add it to your TBR list!!!

Ryan comes to town for an undercover investigation and meets Willow. Willow has left her previous life behind to save her life. Both fall so hard for each other after trying and failing to resist the attraction they have for each other. They are scorching hot together and have this sweet love growing between them. The only challenge is the life they are leading right now is based on lies. Lies built to protect them, but that also have the power to hurt them and their relationship. I felt for Ryan as he struggled with not being able to tell her about his job. My heart hurt for Willow as she worked through what happened to her and the fact that she wasn't able to talk about it with Ryan. Ryan is the perfect blend of sweet and sexy and I loved that Willow was the first woman in his life that really mattered to him and how he grew through that. I loved that he just wanted to make her happy and to see her smile. And man could this man give good naughty talk. I really loved their story and at the end of it wanted more.

I give Sting 5 hearts!

I was gifted a copy of this book for review.
This book has action and suspense with some added humor not to mention some smoking hot chemistry. If you are looking for an edge of your seat ride you may want to check this one out.
Ryan is working undercover (he was able to keep his first name on this assignment) to bring down a drug cartel. He is sexy and pretty much a ladies man. He knows he should steer clear of Willow but for some reason he is drawn to her and can't get her out of his head.
Willow is the owner of the coffee shop where Ryan has begun to frequent. With her past she knows it's best to not forge a relationship with anyone. Ryan however gets under her skin.
Both of these characters have secrets that could potentially come between them but this is well worth the ride.
And a review would not be completely without the fun and quirky Gabby! I love this girl. She had me laughing more than once and is the perfect best friend. This story would not be complete without the secondary characters.
Terrific storyline definite must read in my opinion.

The quiet voice of a strong heroine breaking the walls of a guarded pure hearted women will send shivers down your spine in an unparalleled and rosewater combustion of chemistry in reading Sting by Jennifer Ryder. The uncanny ability time and time again Jennifer Ryder whispers her voice a vogue of greatness when creating characters and it grips me to read to the very end. In Sting we fall for the sting of being zapped into heart of Detective Ryan Clark further more than the sweeping ogling eyes many of us had for Aidan in Spark when we first got a glimpse of him. The wit of fire and grave protection of serving his life to the police force breaks for an emotional novel upheaving boundaries, scarifies and a hunger of ooze that weasels into our heart making Ryan running competition with Aidan Stone.

Wow. Another great book by Jennifer Ryder. Meet Ryan. Let me rephrase that, meet oh so sexy Ryan, a cop on a undercover mission. New in town and in desperate need for a coffee he stumbles upon this coffee shop where he meets Willow whom he's attracted to instantly. Feeling her attraction to him as well, Ryan, with help from Willow's friend Gabby, works his way into Willow's heart more and more. Playing a flirtatious game of cat and mouse Willow finally succumbs to Ryan's attempts and let's go of her fears and gives herself to him. They both are hiding secrets which could destroy their relationship. Will their love be strong enough to survive?

I received an ARC for my honest opinion. Oh wow. Oh wow. Oh wow. I was not disappointed. What a beautiful story about love and second chances. I loved both characters. Ryan so loving and oh so sexy and Willow sweet and innocent. Their chemistry is amazing. I loved it. Another 5 star read. A definite recommend. Thank you Jennifer❤️

The story has laughs, betrayal, pain, healing love, and heartbreak.

This is Willow and Ryan’s story. Ryan is working undercover. Willow owns the local coffee shop. The attraction is instant. Willow can’t stand anything to do with lies and drugs. Ryan depends on his lies to keep himself and his partner safe. What happens when part of Willows past intermixes with Ryan’s case? Can she forgive Ryan the lies he told? Can she understand why he had to lie? What happens when all you want is to have the person you miss the most back in your arms? When even the lies don’t matter because all the matters in being with each other and loving each other?

Willow is sweet but strong. Ryan is gentle and a solid protector. They worked so well together. I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a good read. I recommend this book and this series.

Loved it so much, how can a relationship work when it has lies built around it, will it topple like a house of cards? I have never read any of Jennifer Ryder's other work and i am so gutted i did not know about this author sooner. She writes with a style that is smooth and wraps you up in the story so tight you do not want to be released. I love how the characters tried to fight the pull of attraction between themselves and when they did stop fighting it it exploded to life on the screen of my kindle. I also loved the suspense of the secrets the Willow and Ryan keep from each other and how it affects all the aspects of their relationships through the book. I do not want to go into too much detail of the book other to say read this book, ad then like me go one-click the other books in this series. Yes this book is part of seris but it most certainly be read as a stand-alone

Disclosure: This e-book was provided by the author in exchange for an HONEST and not necessarily positive review

From the very first chapter, Jennifer Ryder set a pace and established a setting to a book that I was confident I would inhale and love. And love it I did!

'Sting' is a beautiful romance filled with laughter, heartache and a whole heap of dramatic tension and action. Both Ryan and Willow were a pleasure to follow. I actively cheered for them from the start and may have shouted at my Kindle a time or two when the author made sure life didn't run quite as smoothly as anticipated.

A bloody brilliant read, with a great cast of characters. Definitely a book to add to your 'don't think just buy and read now' list.

Speechless. Not in a bad way though. It has taken me two days after reading this to be able to breath and get my thoughts into a somewhat coherent sentence.

Sting is the way a book is supposed to be. It draws you in and captures you and just when you think Ryan Clark will let you go, that hold tightens. With each page it gets more and more intense. I won't lie, there were tears. By the end of it, I was left blinking and staring at my screen and the only words I could muster were "what the fudge did I just read?" Again, that is a good reaction not bad. The only bad thing about Sting? Was that it ended. Whatever you think you know about Ryan Clark, prepare to have your mind blown!

Holy Sharks. Ryan is one super sexy, swoon worthy, sweet, undercover cop.
When Ryan moves across country, for his latest undercover assignment, little did he know he'd fall for the sweet, blonde, barista Willow. These two both have secrets they can't tell one another and I was biting my nails most of the book to see if they could make it work.
I've loved all of Jennifer's books and this one is no exception. From Ryan and Willow to Mick and Gabby all the characters were perfect and the story lines had me laughing, crying and screaming NO.
I had the privilege of receiving a complimentary copy provided by author and I can't wait to see what comes next in the Spark series.
