Natalie Anderson is a USA TODAY bestselling author. She writes emotional contemporary romances full of sparkling banter, sizzling heat and uplifting endings—perfect for readers who love to escape with everyday empowered heroines and arrogant alphas who are too sexy for their own good. With over five million books sold, her stories are translated into more than a dozen languages, she’s been a Romantic Times Award nominee and a finalist for the R*BY (Romantic Book of the Year). When she’s not writing, you’ll find her wrangling her four fab kids, walking Alfie, the mini schnauzer and laughing with her husband at the end of the day–unless they’ve taken Romeo, the Campervan for a spin. She lives in Christchurch, New Zealand.
The heroine Nadia runs a dating 'advice' website and forum. After an upsetting incident in her past she wishes to be able to help women avoid encounters that may leave them heartbroken or worse. When the hero Ethan finds out he has been shamed on the forum and called 'three dates and your out' he is furious. He tracks Nadia down and demands she take the thread down, even when he threatens legal action she still refuses and Ethan can't help but admire her determination. So instead he challenges her to go on three dates with him to prove he is not the womaniser he's been reported as. During these dates both Nadia and Ethan are surprised at how much they desire one another and despite each of their attempts to stick to their 'rules' they can't help by give in to their desires.
What I like about Natalie's books is that they are always very forward thinking and modern, this is certainly the case with this fabulous book. The verbal (and virtual) sparring from the two characters is brilliant, at times I couldn't help but laugh! There was so much chutzpah in these characters, I thought they were fantastic. I liked that the book was so honest about all the games people play in relationships and how, really, we should just stop playing these games and realise how damaging they can be. The story is very original and fun and I really loved reading it.
The writing is spectacular, and as expected from Natalie's books the passion is scorching. Although the use of the phrase "bliss button" did have me cringing a bit! LOL!
I really liked this book. Firstly I had never read something similar and that's always good. I think the book didn't fail to deliver what was promised. The plot was never rushed but the pace was never slow either. The characters were both strong-minded. I'm glad that although Nadia was attracted to Ethan she didn't turn into a total hormonal drooling bimbo.Sure she slept with him but she made rational choice. She decided she was attracted to him and admited to herself she wanted to have sex with him and then she went for it. And I most definitely loved Ethan. The man was charming and witty amd well his hotness was well-described. All in all I found it an entertaining light read.
Original trope, fresh & breezy writing style, beautifully portrayed characters, Nadia writes a blog WomenBWarned about dating advices. Ethan is defamed on the forum & nicknamed 3 Dates & you are out playboy. Furious, he challenged Nadia into having 3 dates with him to prove he isn't this playboy. They continue their sparring online thru their blogs & it's fun how each one tries to win the dating war.
I love this book although it has a little more sex than the books I usually read. It started off really funny with the witty banter between Nat & Ethan, but it got really emotional towards the end when they really get to know each other. It's a really sweet book and I think any fan of chick-lits should totally check out this book~
This is fabulous. Nadia and Ethan are such captivating characters and the plot is fresh and ingenious. This author produces well written, emotionally satisfying stories, which do not stretch the bounds of possibility. Believable and entertaining! Would have liked an epilogue and that’s why it’s only 4 stars!
Dating and Other Dangers is out of the box good….sheer brilliance actually!
Nadia Keenan runs a blog named WomanBWarned, a site about serial daters and dumpers. Ethan Rush unfortunately finds himself a topic of conversation on WBW; he actually has a whole thread #1862 dedicated to him called Mr. 3 Dates and You’re Out!
When Ethan finds out his reputation is being mangled, he is absolutely livid and challenges Nadia to go out on 3 dates with him to help set the record straight and so start the dating wars…
The chemistry between Ethan and Nadia is hot hot hot and their blog wars will have you in splits. This book definitely outlines the games people play in a relationship and the song and dance involved in dating.
Natalie is definitely one of my favorite authors, she constantly thinks outside the box time and again. I’m always eager to read her next book and she never disappoints in the variety department.
Dating and Other Dangers gets top billing for being creatively fresh and modern; add brilliant writing, witty dialogues and sizzling love scenes and we have a downright winner on our hands. Highly recommended.
It's an mazing book that everyone will love. This book reminds me the movie How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.I have no idea why.I really like this book.I would recommend to read it 'cause it's not the usual type book. *The're might be minor spoilers* First of all it's all about the 21rt century where people have blogs and they write their opinion or whatever they want.In our case this is Datind advises and in Nadias blog warnings about some men. Tha's how she and Ethan met.Someone wrotte in her blog about Ethan goes to her office to prove that he is not what they say in her blog. They end up having 3 dates. On the first date Nadia breaks all(or almost all)her rules. On the 2nd she get's what she wants though I don't think that ended well.On the third he let her see a side of him that she didn't belive it existed until she saw it with her own eyes. The last 2-3 chapters were a surprise to me but in the end everything got solved.
OK, this one ENDED really well, but it took so long for me to really like the characters and understand their motivations. I just couldn't help but wonder why Ethan was so upset since he didn't want relationships anyways. And they could be quite harsh and mean to each other, which I'm not used to. In the end, the chemistry evened out and they worked really well together and I totally rooted for them. But frankly, it took a bit too long and so couldn't make up for the first part wondering what was up with those 2.
Not your typical Harlequin novel. The plot is really one of a kind and both h and H really come together very well. The H came across as a real douchebag but you really come to know him better and like h like him despite yourself :) The characterization and depiction of h is really well done. The dialogues and the comebacks are really snappy and witty.
Well well well..!! This was interesting..!! Something very different although reading hero’s blog,u will get the vibe that yeah this is chick flick book written by a woman.
USA Today best-selling author Natalie Anderson continues to prove why she’s one of contemporary romance’s brightest stars with a steamy tale readers will not be able to put down: Dating and Other Dangers!
Nadia Keenan does not like to be underestimated. She had proved everybody wrong by moving to London from the small northern town she had grown up in and found a job working in the human resources department of Hammond’s, one of the world’s most prominent companies. Nadia is not only extremely good at her job, but she’s also an expert when it comes to looking after herself. She does not need a man nor does she want to be in a relationship. She had once trusted a man with her heart and had it smashed to smithereens, so she had vowed never to make the same mistake again. Instead, she has put all of her time and energy into setting up a website, WomanBWarned, which exposes the serial cheaters cluttering up the London singles scene.
In the last couple of days, the site seems to buzzing with the news that first-rate womanizer Ethan Rush has struck again. A drop dead gorgeous lawyer with plenty of money in the bank, come to bed eyes and a body to make any woman’s mouth water, Ethan Rush is irresistible – and boy does he know it! It seems that Ethan changes partners as frequently as other men change their socks –and now women all over London are using Nadia’s site to warn their fellow singletons to give Ethan as wide a berth as possible! Nadia cannot help but be thrilled that her site has exposed Ethan for the lying and cheating womanizer he really is. But when Ethan finds out that his romantic exploits are being splashed all over the Internet, he is incandescent with rage!
Ethan is not about to take this lying down! He vows to track down Nadia and to force her to shut down the site and stop her from making a laughing stock out of him. Nobody makes a fool out of Ethan Rush and he will not rest until he exposes Nadia Keenan for the desperate and miserable shrew she really is. However, Ethan hadn’t counted on the fact that Nadia Keenan is one of the most infuriating, most aggravating and most beautiful women he had ever clapped eyes on! Ethan is determined to prove to Nadia that he isn’t as heartless or as lecherous as he’s being painted on her site – and what better way to prove that than by asking her to go out with him on three dates? Nadia reluctantly accepts to go out with him, but little did she realize when she agreed to go ahead with this challenge that she was about to fall head over heels in love with a man who is allergic to long-term relationships: Ethan Rush!
Dating and Other Dangers is a breezy read that perfectly balances light-hearted fun with red-hot sensuality and heart-wrenching pathos. Natalie Anderson writes with plenty of flair and panache and once readers start reading this scorching romance, they will not be able to put it down!
With a sexy hero, an independent heroine and plenty of heat, humour and heart, Dating and Other Dangers is another fabulous treat by the brilliant Natalie Anderson!
DATING AND OTHER DANGERS is an amazingly modern story by author Natalie Anderson.
Nadia Keenan works at a conservative firm where accessing social network sites are not allowed for employees on company time. Behind an anonymous façade she runs a site, WomanBWarned, where she gives dating advice to woman.
Her site had a separate thread for Ethan Rush, bashing him! Ethan Rush, to prove her wrong, approached her and made a deal for three dates.
Now what will happen to Nadia on these three dates as she already feels the attraction simmering between them? Ethan has grown up watching how destructive love could be, will he allow himself to love and commit to Nadia?
And what would happen when Nadia’s boss comes to know about her site?
Following Ethan and Nadia was a hilarious journey. Though short in stature, Nadia was fiercely independent. As the saying goes…the shorter the chilly, the spicier they are…and it was all true for Nadia!
The sensuality in the love scenes is astounding. This story is in the “now” as in very modern.
Natalie Anderson did it again! She came through with another winner in DATING AND OTHER DANGERS.
Her characters come alive on the pages with the use of sharp and humorous dialogue and vivid atmospheric details that the reader is personally involved in their happiness. It is a story with real characters, inspired plot and delightful resolution.
Nadia and Ethan’s story is hugely enjoyable and highly romantic tale readers will find absolutely impossible to resist.
This book without a doubt, made it to my favorite list!
Nadia has trouble trusting anyone, let alone letting them help her. She runs a blog/forum site called WomenBWarned, which gives advice on males and even bashes guys. Ethan has seen the site and there is a while thread dedicated to him. So he visits Nadia at work and demands to take her on three dates, to prove that he is NOTHING like the forum users have said.
Throughout there hilarious dates, you begin to learn more about Ethan and Nadia. Ethan's issue is he doesn't want to be his Dad. His Dad is a womanizer and had repeatedly cheated on his mother and used her until their bitter divorce. Ethan has hurt and used women in the past and now he wants to change.
Dating and Other Dangers was an all around great book. I loved it. I fell in love with the characters and learning experiences they each went through. It's certainly worth the read.
This was fun. It was not too long, not too complicated, nicely written. Last evening my husband and I were involved in a discussion about men/women psychology and he really could't understand why we were so "complicated". We women complicated? We are absolutely not! We just have a certain way of thinking that men cannot undestand. Have no idea why. :-) Well, this book discusses about men/women theme in the modern period with all the tecnological implications. I'm relatively young (31), but I haven't been dating in this new techno enviroment. When I started dating my husband there were only few mobile phones, no facebook, no blogs. I feel so ancient...
Romance a bit fast but soo beautiful and the little intricacy of the story is a good think and want me to recommend this book for a little "pause" for relaxation ^^
OK, it was a typical romance where two adversaries fall in love but it was sort of uncomplicated (if we don't come Ethan's dread of commitment). It was easy to read, there were some hot yet tasteful scenes and unlike other books, the guy was the one who wanted serious relationship which was refreshing. Also, it was funny... simply put - I liked it :-)
