Neal Adams was an American comic book and commercial artist known for helping to create some of the definitive modern imagery of the DC Comics characters Superman, Batman, and Green Arrow; as the co-founder of the graphic design studio Continuity Associates; and as a creators-rights advocate who helped secure a pension and recognition for Superman creators Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.
Adams was inducted into the Eisner Award's Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame in 1998, and the Harvey Awards' Jack Kirby Hall of Fame in 1999.

Neal Adams can draw, no one is denying that. But I'm very disappointed in the way his old issues from the '60s and '70s have been re-colored. It's supposed to make it better, but you don't get a good sense of what his issues actually looked like when they came out. To me, it's like when George Lucas re-did the Star Wars movies. Dude, just leave them alone.
Another terrific collection of some of the best comic art ever produced. The stories themselves are a bit dated, however. There are a few minor flies in the ointment. First is inclusion of pages from a book of which Mr. Adams is but one of the artists and excluding the rest. Second, there is a really weird texture thing done with a dinosaur that isn't done with others and doesn't work in any event.
I'm a big Adams fan, but these stories are kind of random. They're definitely dated and if you don't like the stories from the Silver Age or the War Stories from back when then you won't like this. I skimmed most of the stories cause honestly they're hard to get through, but I really got a kick out of the old War Stories! Let's go kill some Nazi's!
