The Billionaire Bargain #3

The Billionaire Bargain #3

Rate this book
Last week I was in the penthouse with a sexy Australian billionaire. Now I’m back to Netflix Friday nigths and leftover takeout. And it’s all my fault.

I’m the one who left the high life behind, and all because I couldn’t bring myself to go through with a sham marriage to my sexy boss Grant Devlin — because I went and fell in love with him for real.

I know, stupid.

Now he won’t talk to me, my job is hanging by a thread, and oh yeah, an evil plot to take over Devlin Media Corp means all my hard work could be for nothing. If we’re going to save the company, I need Grant’s help.

Help that doesn’t include hot sex in the copy room.

Wish me luck.

I had an amazing time reading this series and the conclusion was exactly what i needed. A sweet, fun and smart story, easy to read and nicely written, with an incredible, main power-couple, ready to take down the world.

After the break up, Lacey is holed up in her parents' house. She is hiding from the real world and tries to forget, but that's not working at all. She is so in love with Grant, her heart is empty without him and at some point she must go back.. If for no other reason, then at least for her job.

Grant never felt this way before. The moment he let all his guards go down and finally fell in love, his bride left him on their wedding day -talk about embarrassment- so when Lacey is back, he is bend to make her life a living hell, but can he really? ..

So no matter what, they have to work through their issues and try to save Grant's company together, from Portia's vile plans. When those two cooperate there is nothing they can't achieve..

I loved this story so much! It was funny, sassy and loving. The characters were great and really fleshed out even though the books were short. I couldn't but wanting more. my favorite scene was when the girls followed Portia. It was hilarious. Their incredible dialogues had me laughing nonstop.

THOUGHTS ABOUT THE BOOK

- The elevator scene! WOW! Hot, steamy chemistry.
- Grant's speech was marvelous.
- The sassy comments are back, in the right amount.
- Jennings, was a big help.
- Grant was acting like a little child! But he was still charming.
- I like Kate so much. She is a great friend. A realist, but sweet, voice of reason.

Oh.My.God. The final installment of Billionaire Bargain is absolutely worth the wait. Lila Monroe weaves sarcasm with sentiment to create a thrilling story of love and business-espionage, with quite a bit of heat.

We pick up with Lacey who has run away to her parent’s house after her Grand Departure From The Alter. She’s left eating regret and her parent’s quinoa…at least when she can eat. Her stomach is in knots over whether she left Grant for the right reasons, or whether she made the worst mistake in her life. Lacey struggles to decide whether to face Grant, the man she loves, or to just run away and start over. She finally decides to hold her head high, show the world that middle finger of hers, and make a grand entrance back to work (wearing a killer fucking suit and hot lingerie underneath, of course).

Grant’s less than pleased to see her again at work….and the two engage in some adorable banter that I have deemed to be foreplay. But Grant’s piercing eyes and cold demeanor are no match for Lacey’s headstrong determination. Our favorite bitch-we-love-to-hate Portia is back and this time she has a secret plan to thwart Devlin Media. When Lacey sees Portia making a move to take over the company she decides to be the strong woman she is & face Grant head-on (he he he). GOD I LOVE THEM.

The final installment of this series gives you exactly what you want: sarcasm, wit, hot sex, and a happily ever after that will leave you swooning. If you haven’t read this serial yet, then you need to now, since you know, they’re all out now. FINALLY. I love love love this series and I can’t wait to see what Lila has in store for us next!

That was a nice way to end the short series. I liked that it was a quick read and the pace was great. Once again, it was nothing that stood out for me personally but I still enjoyed it.

Holy hot Aussie Adonis! Grant Devlin, CEO and billionaire babe extraordinaire, continues to makes me swoon and my lady parts hum. I loved this suave yet sensitive man more in this story, book 3, than in the first two books. Lila Monroe's Billionaire Bargain series continues to suck me in like a voodoo vortex by being raw, funny, witty, entertaining, and steamy.

Book 3 has more hurdles than a race at the Summer Olympics. Lacey Newman and Grant's professional and personal relationship is in jeopardy...if you can call it a relationship, as book 2 ended with doubts on whether this farce of an engagement and feelings were even real. Devlin Media is at the brink of peril too.

Book 2 ended with Lacey being unsure if Grant loves her like she loves him. Their wedding was just a show to save the company...right?!? So she pulled a freaking Houdini and disappeared on their wedding day, a move she thought was best for Grant.

"Fresh pain still stabbed into my heart as if I had been shot back into time to that moment in the hotel when I had seen what I had to do, when I had my fatal decision. Oh, damn. Why did giving him up have to be so hard? Shouldn't it be easier, when I knew it was for the best?"

Lacey did not think Grant's feelings toward her were real. He couldn't have really cared for her...right?!? She couldn't have been more wrong. Grant was acting like a jilted man.

"I know exactly what you're capable of. I've learned that you're capable of more coldness and deceit than I thought a mortal woman could be. I learned that, much to my regret, on what supposed to be our wedding day."

It's up to Lacey now to convince Grant to give her a second chance. She made a mistake. His feelings are as real as his mesmerizing sapphire eyes, beautiful face, perfect body, and a smile that makes every woman's panties melt. It's time to get her Aussie Adonis back.

"I surged upward, grabbing at his collar as I kissed him. I devoured his mouth as if he were going to war, as if he were water in the desert, as if he were the antidote to poison and fear and despair. And he kissed me back as if he were starving for the taste of me, biting my lips possessively, thrusting his tongue into my mouth, claiming me."

Like a real-life fairytale, the wicked stepmother (Portia) is trying to steal Prince Charming (Grant) and Cinderella's (Lacey) happily ever after. It's time for Lacey and her knight in shining armor to team up and fight evil if their relationship and Devlin Media are to survive.

A good debut series by Lila Monroe! Again, I wish the books were written in alternate points of view so we could have jumped in Grant's sexy head a bit too. Please, Lila, write a story told by Grant so we can see how this sexy Aussie Adonis ticks!

4.5 Aussie Adonis stars!

This series was a disappointment. The 3 books were more about this girl 's shenanigans and the future of the hero 's company. I don't know in what genre it fits. It is not romance, it's not erotica, it's not NA. The MC's spent most of the time apart and the sex was mediocre.

This book was....for lack of a better way of saying it.....just fucking dumb. The overplayed and completely terrible conversation and flow.....the lack of imagination. Just unrealistic and dumb.

An extra star for the ending scene. The story although left at cliff hangers at both the predecessor parts was a bit lagging. Things felt more natural and less rushed in this part.

Once upon a time there was a sad and sorrowful woman called Lacey. Sad because she had feelings for a man named Grant and sorrowful because she was certain those feelings weren’t returned. Having fled the altar of marriage she lay mentally and haggard and physically spent, the latter from the copious amount of Quinola Earth Mother Emma was laying forth to feed Pumpkin’s soul and aide her strength and recovery. Sadly sorrowful Lacey was now nearing comatose critical condition from lack of sustenance.

One day sorrowful Lacey took it upon herself to take the bull by the horns and travel back to Grant’s castled glass walls of Devlin Media Corp. Therein she finds the disconsolate Grant who slays her with words as deftly as Saint George slayed his dragon.

As with all good ‘Once upon a time’ stories, the wicked witch (Portia) throws them through a loop. And again in this final instalment of Lacey and Grant’s romance the villainous try to derail Lacey’s HEA.

I have LOVED this trilogy. I thank god I had all three to read in one go. I truthfully would have hated having to wait to find out what happens next. Lila without a doubt will go far in her world of stories and her creations. She has such a flair with words and characters. She has a humour that connects with me and a great writing style that I find easy to follow. I am so very glad I got to read these three short books, I know this would read as a brilliant novel too in one book so I hope Lila writes a novel next time and doesn’t make her readers wait between releases of smaller novella sized books.

This definitely again worthy of 5 full stars from me and I look forward to reading anything from the mind of Lila Monroe.

Ah I can’t believe this trilogy is over. I have absolutely loved reading about Lacey and Grant.

Ms Monroe you have perfected the art of writing an engaging, hot, steamy, witty story so different to what I expected. I am so glad I’ve read this trilogy because it really was a corker. How you managed to run a story while keeping up with the wittiness that started in book 1 and continued right through to the end is commendable.

I think Lacey is my book girlfriend…yeh well you women have your book boyfriend list and I’m making my own book girlfriend list! She really does have it all. It’s nice to read about a girl who isn’t stick thin, a girl who likes to eat, a girl who is sassy, can be emotional, can be fiery and has a great sense of humour. Girl, I’m a little bit in love with you as well as in awe of you.

Grant is not your average billionaire. His antics have been hilarious from day one. I just knew as I was reading about this smirking billionaire who is so laid back he’s practically horizontal, that he was going to be something totally different to the usual arrogant CEO’s who command orgasms at the drop of a hat.

And where there is a leading romantic couple, there’s always the shadow in the background. To make the villain a sweet little old lady grandmother was just genius. She makes Cruella de Vil look misunderstood!

I am seriously in love with Ms Monroe and I will be following/stalking her, waiting patiently/impatiently to see what she comes up with next. How is she going to top this trilogy? How is she going to write even better characters than this trilogy? I have absolutely no idea but she has set herself a high bar to exceed and I for one, can’t wait for more.

Now this is a great finale!!

It had grit and love and hotness and ‘crime’-solving all in one small package!!

You may already know this, but I LOVE a strong young woman, who doesn’t back down and stands on her own feet. Lacey is that kind of woman. She faced hell, a public and personal one. She faced a hostile environment, but she still stood tall. She was fierce and her inner strength is one of the things I loved in this book.

I also liked the fact that Grant took responsibility of his professional and personal life. He seemed more complete in this book. He had it all. A good heart, hotness, a keen mind, love for Lacey…

The story took a somewhat unpredictable turn and I liked that, too.

Part 3 was simply more that the other two. While the first one was the funniest, the third one was the best since everything fell in place.

The characters seemed more real. The story was more intense.

Everything about Part 3 was better!!

Another thing I loved was how they worked together. Those pages were magnificent!!

I really really really loved this book!!!

So, hurry up and grab it!

Part 3 receives 5 Amazing Stars, because the characters got what they deserved -literally and figuratively- -good and bad- !!

And overall, The Billionaire Bargain Series gathers an impressive 4.5 Star- average!!

Holy smokes Batman! I was already in love with Grant from the start of book one, but I am completely and utterly enchanted by him.

Book 3 picks up shortly after the end of Book 2, Lacey is trying to figure out what to do next after walking away from Grant. Although hiding away may be the easier option, Lacey knows that she has a job to do. Facing Grant isn't going to be easy but it's something that has to do. Grant, for his part, doesn't make it any easier; he even goes out of his way to say some harsh things to her.

Now that she's ended things and Grant is back to being an ass, Lacey focuses on her job and getting back to normal life; a life without Grant. But wait, there is something a miss with Portia and she's going to get to the bottom of it. Finding out the problem and getting a solution could mean the way back to Grant or at least save Delvin Media Corp.

This has been one of my favorite series of the year! Lacey is hilarious, stunning, strong and independent. Grant is sexy, smart, funny and incredibly sexy. The way that Lila told their story was brilliant. This installment is no exception. I am so sad to see this series end but I am extremely happy to have read it. I can't thank you enough Lila!

I absolutely loved this series it had me captivated from start to finish.

Grant and Lacey made it seem like there was no way that they could come back from the disator of thier experiences in Book 2 and this was going to make a fantastic episode to add to the Billionaire Bargain.

Lila had me feeling the characters mannerisms and trying to anticipate what was ahead for them, I was flat out turning those pages.

I was so pleased with the outcome and cannot wait to read more from Lila.
It definitly ticked all my boxes.

4 stars from me

What a fantastic conclusion to the series!

Lacey is wallowing away after her decision to leave Grant. She knows she's doing the right thing for herself, but that doesn't mean it doesn't hurt.

Grant has decided that hes going to make her life hell. While he won't admit that he's in love with Lacey, his actions scream it.

Determined to keep her head up and do her job, she uncovers a devious plot by Grant's God-monster, and must get Grant to trust her again so they can save his company.

This book is sweet and endearing. It's such the perfect way to close out this series.

This was the perfect ending to this series. It wrapped up everything in a nice little packaged and gave me the ending that I was looking for.

Lacey and Grant are able to over come there difference and in the process were able to save the company from someone who shouldn't have been taking over the company in the first place. I never really liked this person and now I know why. There was always something about them.

Yet there is happy endings all round and everybody gets what they want.

Swoon?

It took a bit, but the swoon was there, finally, once the two managed to get their heads out of their butts and actually confess their feelings.
When a ‘relationship’ starts with a ‘business arrangement’, you know things are going to go south before they head back north! One always has feelings, and there’s a good chance the other one does too, but neither of them will admit to the other that the feelings are there, for fear of being rejected, feeling like the other is there for selfish reasons. Of course, things tend to turn out in the end.
In their case, throw in an attempt at a takeover of the company, and the chances look good that the takeover will happen. The two have to put their animosity aside to fight to save the company. Will it be enough? Will it bring them back together? Will it push them farther apart? Some things are easier to say outloud, feelings are not one of those things.
