Μικρό, πολύ cute βιβλιαράκι με quotes που θα σας σπρώξουν να κάνετε πραγματικότητα όσα έχετε στο μυαλό σας και γενικά να ξεσηκωθείτε και να κάνετε τη γαμωδουλειά.

Έχει μέσα από Steve Jobs και Sean Parker και Larry Page, μέχρι Walt Disney και Tina Fey και Michael Jordan. Το αγαπημένο μου πάντως είναι το "Βατραχάνθρωπος του Πολεμικού Ναυτικού των ΗΠΑ".

Αν έχετε κάποιον που χρειάζεται λίγη ενθάρρυνση για τη δουλειά του ή τη ζωή του γενικότερα, αυτό εδώ κάνει ένα πολύ καλό δώρο. Αν έχετε κάποιον που δουλεύει σε κάποια startup, εχμ, δεν καταλαβαίνω γιατί δεν του το έχετε πάρει ήδη, μεγάλο σφάλμα.

Αν σου έκανε εντύπωση ο τίτλος, αυτό μάλλον είναι καλό. Ίσως σου κινήσει την περιέργεια να πιάσεις στα χέρια σου αυτό το άρτι εκδοθέν από την Key Books βιβλίο, που με εξέπληξε πολύ ευχάριστα και ηδη το θεωρώ μια πολύ σημαντική προσθήκη στη βιβλιοθήκη μου.

Για να σε προλάβω, δεν αποτελεί άλλο ένα «βιβλίο με γνωμικά», όπως ίσως σκεφτεί κάποιος χωρίς να το ξεφυλλίσει. Κατά την περιγραφή του οπισθοφύλλου:

"Κάνε τη γ*μωδουλειά. Λιγότερες συσκέψεις, περισσότερη δράση. Το πάθος ποτέ δεν αποτυγχάνει.
Αυτά τα ρητά έχουν συγκεντρώσει χιλιάδες likes στο Twitter και το Instagram. Τώρα η ουσία του κόσμου των startups αποτυπώθηκε σε μορφή βιβλίου. Υπάρχει φρέσκια γνώση από τους πρωτοπόρους της επανάστασης των startups, δίπλα στη διαχρονική σοφία των Γκόντιν, Ζάκερμπεργκ και Τζομπς.
Οποιαδήποτε στιγμή κι αν αναζητάς έμπνευση και κίνητρο πάρε στα χέρια σου αυτό το βιβλίο. Και μετά… Κάνε τη Γ*μωδουλειά."

Ήταν πολλές οι φορές που σταμάτησα σε μια σελίδα και σκέφτηκα «αυτό πρέπει να το κάνω κάδρο και να το κρεμάσω κάπου μέσα στο σπίτι μου». Στο τέλος, ήταν τόσα πολλά αυτά που θα ήθελα να βλέπω μπροστά μου κάθε ημέρα και να με εμπνέουν, που ίσως είναι πιο πρακτικό να κουβαλάω μαζί μου αυτό το «μαγικό» βιβλιαράκι. Είναι, εξάλλου, μικρό σε μέγεθος–περίπου 13×13 εκ.–και μπορείς να το περιεργαστείς εύκολα.

Πάντως, μη σε ξεγελά η «μαζεμένη» του όψη: περιέχει ισχυρές δόσεις σοφίας, που θα βάλουν τα γρανάζια του μυαλού σου σε λειτουργία και θα σου δώσουν αυτή τη μικρή ώθηση που χρειάζεσαι ώστε να πας παραπέρα σε ό,τι κι αν κάνεις.

Αυτό το σε ό,τι κι αν κάνεις θέλω να το τονίσω. Μπορεί τα παροτρυντικά λόγια και οι αλήθειες που κρύβει στις σελίδες του να ειπώθηκαν από ανθρώπους της δημιουργικής βιομηχανίας και της startup κοινότητας, ωστόσο οι περισσότερες από τις συμπυκνωμένες αυτές «σοφίες» έχουν εφαρμογή σε αμέτρητες περιπτώσεις της καθημερινής σου ζωής.

Μην φανταστείς, δηλαδή, ότι το «Κάνε τη Γ*μωδουλειά» απευθύνεται μόνο σε businessmen. Έχει να προσφέρει σε όλους.

Ένας πολύ σημαντικός παράγοντας που θα σε κάνει να απολαύσεις το Κάνε τη Γ*μωδουλειά είναι το design στις σελίδες του και η τυπογραφία. Βρήκα τη χρωματική παλέτα ιδιαίτερα ξεκούραστη και τη χρήση διαφορετικών γραμματοσειρών, βαρών, στιγμών, στιλ και χρωμάτων αρκετά βοηθητική και σωστά φροντισμένη.

Εν κατακλείδι, αν εργάζεσαι σε μια startup, αν κατέχεις δημιουργική θέση σε κάποια εταιρεία ή, αν απλώς έχεις κάποιους στόχους στο μυαλό σου και θέλεις να διαβάσεις κάτι που θα σε εμπνεύσει να ξεκινήσεις, αυτό το βιβλίο έχει να σου δώσει πολλά.

Προσωπικά, είμαι σίγουρος ότι θα ανατρέξω αμέτρητες φορές στις σελίδες του. Πιστεύω ότι το ίδιο θα κάνει οποιοσδήποτε το αποκτήσει.

I love this book for two reasons. First it's short enough to finish within an hour. Second, it's full of wisdom for greatest entrepreneurs. Read it if you want motivation and want to get shit done.

A tiny book full of quotes that tries to keep u motivated. It centres on the idea of “doing it is more than thinking it”. Just do it for people will like/hate it whether u do or don’t. If u have an idea, just execute it and get it rolling fast. Little progress is better than no progress. Less planning and more doing. Doing what u love is more important than chasing after money.

I read it through one standing at chapters. I wouldn’t keep a copy of it coz it’s just a collection of quotes which pretty much everyone can collect themselves. No quotes from the book really hit me. It’s a good reminder but other than that, it just feels pretty empty coz it’s a book of everyone’s words. :/

self-help are my guilty pleasures, i’m well aware that the system needs overhauling but it’s like fast food, i enjoy the little salty rush they give, ofc it goes cold quickly/ never really fills you up but these ones were very short and punchy. had some real devils in here too, gates, bezos, churchill, so that dulled the allure a bit and i docked two for the ruined fantasy, i think this was too silicon valley for me, i prefer hearing about the new shiny methods for changing behaviour than shouting quotes by gates saying he never took a day off in his twenties 😭 at least it was short but overall it lacked the faux-innovation that i chew on self-help books to crunch my fantasies out from

I bought his book by chance. Not knowing that it is actually a marketing book! Anyhow I feel like I benefitted from it, I cut some of the sayings in the book and stuck them in my "inspiration board" lol. So I guess it is a good reassurance and reminder to push harder. If you're interested it is a good book.

Could not finish it. Listening to the audio version the narrator kept saying the author’s name after his own quotes. It reminded me of the Dr Pepper commercial with the action star shooting machine guns jumping off cliffs and then saying Catch Phrase instead of an actual catch phrase.

This is a simple little book containing 173 quotes on entrepreneurship and getting things done. They are divided into eight themes that include: Get stuff done, think, plan, build, lead, sell, preserve, and evolve. Some of the quotes are by people I recognized, and others by people I hadn't heard of. Some of the quotes really resonated with me, and others didn't. I'm sure each reader will find the same but with different quotes.

Start Up Vitamins inspires with a variety of products offering insightful, inspirational and motivational quotes. This collection of 173 of them is bound to have something that inspires you to get more done, and that's worth reading the this short book of inspiration.

If you like quotes, especially those aimed at the entrepreneur, this is a good collection. I saw it on the “new” shelf of the library and I'm glad I did. I'm going to go back through it and jot down a few of my favorites.

There are so many quotes in this book that you will eventually run across a couple that will relate to what you are experiencing in life. People like to believe that what is happening to them is so unique that no one else will understand but the truth of the matter is that lots of other people have experienced the same thing and lived to tell about it.

This is a good book to keep on the side while you are working and to just refer back to it whenever you are stuck or need a break. The little insights act as bursts of energy to keep you going. They help you realize that the second you are slacking, someone else is working twice as hard as you to build something great.

My favorite quote in the book was what Bill Gates said, "I never took a day off in my twenties. NOT ONE."

Fantastic quotes (not the same old ones in every other motivational book of quotes!), and I love the fact the are broken into sections by topic and theme -- unfortunately it looks like it was designed by a color blind 3rd grader they hired from Fiverr.com. The style definitely doesn't match the substance, and the book (and my eyesight!) are the worse for it.

A quick read of quotes from succesful entrepeneurs. Some of them were inspiring and brought a smile to my face. It sure gave me a boost in wanting to work harder and get shit done. You see what you get here. Just a bunch of inspiring quotes.
