Alpha Games Serial #1-4 included

Alpha Games: Complete Serial Boxed Set

Rate this book

Two years ago, voluptuous she-wolf Aspen ran from her shifter pack. With females of her kind getting increasingly rare, she knew if she stayed, she'd be pressured into mating with Rafe, the gorgeous, blue-eyed son of the alpha. Not that she hasn't always adored him, but she couldn't stand the thought of a mating of convenience!

Now she's back, on the run from a dangerous stalker and emitting pheromones that make every wolf nearby want to claim her. But this time, Rafe is determined she'll be his. He just needs to convince her that he has always wanted her, and it was never about convenience!

Important note from the author! Alpha Games is a 4-part, completed paranormal romance serial about a female wolf shifter and the three sexy alphas she's destined to choose between. The story is told in novella length episodes with cliff-hangers, and is contained here in its completion for the first time at the request of readers.

Loc 1372 "I move my pencil absently over the paper but stop when my EARS prick at a familiar SCENT" Notice the well edited writing, I'm about half way through the book and this isn't the first example.I Love to read but am so tired of authors not bothering to proofread AFTER having at least 3 others proofread for them.

The writing style started very stilted and juvenile but has smoothed out a bit. The h is a whiny brat that doesn't even deserve the H. The H isn't all that either, typical guy who wants to win the girl but doesn't know how so he doesn't do anything. They also call themselves a pack but only have 3 plus h in this book, I still have yet to meat the alpha, H's dad. They are secluded to a house together and I'm told things but not shown them.

Over all this book was $.99 so I would recommend it as a quick fun read. If your looking for you next favorite author, one of the greats, move on.
Though I love my kindle, getting books quickly, having no more shelf space being used up, and the price. All of these points work for me. What doesn't work is that anyone can publish now it seems, whether they have a well written story or not. Authors PLEASE start showing some pride in you craft, even if you don't have any please proofread.

I wanted to like it, but Aspen set the whole Alpha Games thing up and had these dudes (brothers!) "compete" with each other basically because she had low self esteem and not enough guts to say how she truly felt. How is she an Alpha female?

OMG I can't even describe how much I hated this.

Did you know that wolves could blush? I didn't, still don't think they can, but everything in this was so mixed up and descriptions for while a wolf were for humans and while human for a wolf.

After escaping the pack, Aspen returns to fulfill her duties to the pack. She must choose one of three brothers as her mate, insuring he becomes the next alpha.

Growing up together they have been friends, but the current change in attitudes in the males toward Aspen are not only unexpected but confusing. She is also pursued by her former boyfriend who only wants her to ensure his status as alpha and claim his pack and hers.

Her love has always been for Rafe, the eldest, however she doubts his feelings. After reading this story you will see her find her answers and happiness. Will it be with one of the other brothers as friends turned more or will Rafe convince her he has real feelings. Read it and find out.

While each book is a fairly short novella length, I didn't miss any build up or back story. All my questions were answered. I enjoyed the relationship of the brothers and how they dealt with the competition for Aspen. A very satisfying read I can recommend to any shifter story lover. The boxed set is a great deal.

I wanted to enjoy this little story so much and yet it just didn't hit the spot for me. I hated how Aspen treated the guys, making them try to woo her when she only wanted one of then to begin with. She didn't even take into consideration the other two would develop feelings for her and she would hurt them. It had promise to be a good story but just didn't get there for me even though I like the author.

MEH.....

Slow, tedious, predictable read.
I read the first four chapters and the last three and skipped the immature high school drama in between.

I usually like Terry’s books, but there’s always an exception.

Rafe and Aspen. Rafe is the oldest of three brothers and expected to take over the pack as alpha. Aspen is the only female left in the pack after illness wiped out most of the female wolves. She ran away rather than face the feelings she had for Rafe and returned 2 years later, running from another wolf.

Four novellas make up one full book.
Book 1 Aspen is a whiny idiot.
Book 2 i skipped over three quarters of it.
Book 3 i wanted to reach into the book, drag Aspen out, smack some sense i to her then shove her back in.
Book 4 She finally wised up a bit and it turned out to be the most tolerable of the 4 books. Sadly, that’s not saying much.

This set definitely won’t be on the reread list. I found it so aggravating i could bearly finish it. I have many, many of Terry’s books and i’ve read them all several times. There are only one or two i can’t stand, this is one of them!

I read the first volume. A seven chapter short story that continues into the next volume. I was disappointed in the first one but the second volume is worse. The lead female is annoying immature and has three brothers compete for her while she supposedly has the hots for the oldest. I don't think I will even make it to the third volume. And there is so little romance. And lack of hot sex scenes make a very boring read. I love hot shifter novels but not this one.

Lots of drama in this box set that contains a serial story. It seems Aspen can't make up her mind who her mate should be amongst three alpha brothers. As an Alpha female she can have her pick and there are rules that must be followed, but other packs might not be so good at following them. All Aspen seems to want is for Rafe to tell her he loves her, without any prompting. Men can be a little dim.

Truth about love

She is an alpha female that's in love with the alpha male. Her only problem is she doesn't want to fulfill her obligation to her pack because she is afraid he won't love her back, so she runs. He is the pure alpha male who loves her and will do anything to protect her and his pack. He doesn't understand why she keeps running until she returns after a couple years. Now they have to protect their pack and each other.

OK I'm gonna be honest Aspen is a horrible selfish person. The only satisfying ending to this series for me would have been if she ended up alone. Playing brothers off each other (especially when she knows she is in love with one of them) is sick. She never once thought how her behavior would affect the guys in the book, nope it was all about her and how she felt.

This was irritating!
The very selfish immature h who is in lust with all three brothers but really in love with the eldest but just being stubborn.
Her stubbornness causes so many problems (his the selfishness).
So many stupid actions are taken even by the H which would’ve been no-brainers....,

Who knew a big bad alpha could be so sweet? First of three stories about alpha wolf brothers. Alpha Rogue and Alpha Contender are next. I have read and loved them all (out of sequence, no harm though). This one is my favorite.

Nice beginning

For an early effort, I believe it may even be the first, this isn't bad. A bit rough, but I see the potential found in later books. I liked this introduction to the shifter world of Terry Bolryder.

What a fun series

I really enjoyed this series it was fun, angsty without being annoying emotional and it was truly about the romance and relationships. She did not just let them steamroll her which i appreciated

The heroin was really childish. She left her mate for two years, came back, fooled around with him and his two friends so she could decide whether or not she wanted to be with him

3 1/2 - 4 stars

I love wolf shifter stories, they're actually my favorite shifter, but as much as I liked this story, I just couldn't love it. It is by no means a bad story, it's actually pretty good, but I just couldn't get into it because of the main female character. It had action, suspense, intense situations, humorous banter, and some surprise twists that made this a great read. I think most people will enjoy this boxed set that contains the entire story.

I really liked Rafe, Hawthorn, and Lindon, but it was Aspen that I couldn't connect with. She seemed to be a little immature, only concerned with her desires, and expected everyone to just know what she wanted without her saying anything, but she couldn't figure out what was right in front of her for her entire life. Then she suggested that the men, her friends and want-to-be suitors, to compete for her to determine who to mate with. She never once considered their feelings, or anything else other than what she wanted. Just my opinion.

I did enjoy most of this story, and I am sure that others will enjoy it.
I would recommend this book.

So, I enjoyed the set as a whole. I only had a few issues with Aspen. She is completely oblivious to things going on around her. I know she is smart but its like she has no common sense. She's definitely self-centered and bratty at times. Stomping off and throwing a huff about pretty much anything. Rafe...I had issues with him because he was kind of an ass through most of it til the end. He might be an alpha wolf but seriously....common sense should tell him he needs to admit feelings. She was hinting around at it and he still didn't get it. Also, he's got a laptop and has internet access AND he invests money and is really smart but he doesn't know what a freaking bra is? Band aid? Really? LOL. They aren't THAT primitive. Geez. Also, I noticed some editing issues.

Another great series

Ashen left her pack two years ago and went around to different countries with Gang. Now she wants to leave him and go back to her pack. Dripping wet from rain, finally Hawthorne comes to get her after a phone call to him. When the get to a big house she does not remember she has to face the other two, who do not know she has come back. First to see is Rafe, who is surprised but not very cordial. Next is London who gives her a big hug. So the story begins and what a story it. Very good and I would highly recommend it. So much happens.

Let the games begin.

So, the books that started it all..are the ones I've read the last.

So good! I loved Rafe, you could tell from the beginning he cared for Aspen. Aspen got on my nerves a bit, but it was nice to see her grow as the books went on. I enjoyed the way the characters interacted with each other, how close to each other they were and definitely how Lindon and Hawthorne tried to drive Rafe crazy around Aspen. This was a fun book,I didn't really want to put it down.

What A Girl Thinks

This was a great read. It took Aspen a while to figure out if the alpha to be loved her for her or just for the pack. Always who she really wanted Race but how did he really feel about her. Is she good enough for him or is it just for being Alpha in her own does he love her or is it duty. When she has no choice he fights for her right to choose an hopefully it'll be him. Great story. Am checking out other books by this author.

I thought it was a good start but the beginning was confusing. I felt like until a few chapters in I had missed a book. Im pretty sure this was the start. However there was some ggod action even though I did feel the female lead could have been a little more upfront abou things. Still enjoyed it over all

Normally not a cliffhanger fan....

I can enjoy cliffhangers when they come as a box set or have already been written and released! I have read others in the past where I needed to wait months for the next chapter and be disappointed at the length I'm paying for. Not so with Terry's series, totally worthwhile!
