It’s another beautiful day in a quiet American suburb. Carl lives with his widowed father, works in a local grocery store, and loves watching TV programs about insects. He has a pleasant, routine life that he enjoys. But all that is about to change.
M.A. Robbins is the author of The Zombie Uprising series and The Tilt post-apocalyptic action series. A long time Alaskan, he lives in Anchorage with his wife, Debbie, and their ninety pound Chocolate Lab, TBone. He has a taste for unique characters, twisting plots, and homemade clam chowder.

The story was well written. It had a steady pace to move the story along. Hated when it ended. To me the story had the “Twilight” TV show feeling to it, the song played in my head as I read the story. It was scary and bizarre all rolled into one spooky read. Carl saying I can accept change as things happen around him, made you go what? I was like heck no run for the hills or move to a new town. Hope to read more from the author.
Got for an honest review. Thank you for letting me read your story.
Loved this story, and would love to see more by Mr. Robbins. The main character is a high functioning autistic man that is dealing with what the title suggests...Changes. The story is a quick read and very well written. The main character is beautifully described. If you love horror, this is worthy of a read!
Carl, a man working at grocery store who is very pedantic and who loves insects is thrown off balance when he faces changes. He is having a bad day when everyone around behaves differently. This is a good creepy story which let me think of The Cure's Lullaby.
Great short story and a perfect read for 🎃 Halloween. I highly recommend this book to anyone. It’s that good. I love it when the little guy has the last word.
I really liked the main character and the fact that he was a high-functioning autistic. Mr Robbins knows how to make you care about his characters in a short amount of time(and words!). I think this was my favorite of Mr Robbins' 3 short stories.
