This was a perfectly quite sweet read.....getting past the fact that Robby was raped quite badly Cole and Morgan soon took him in and helped him realise that he can be loved...I have no problems with Cole and Morgan being brothers...they not doing any harm and they truly fall for Robby even when they knew what he'd done in the past.....Great read x

A Scattered Thoughts and Rogue Words Review An Alisa Review:

Rating: 4 stars out of 5

Cole found Robby in an alley in pain on his way home one night. Morgan is wary of the stranger and doesn’t want anyone to come between him and Cole. As they give Robby time to heal they learn some new things about each other.

Cole and Morgan already have a taboo relationship, but it is based on their deep love for each other. They don’t hide their relationship from Robby and welcome him to their lives.

My heart broke for Robby with how bad his life has been so far and how he believes that Cole and Morgan are just too good to be true. Cole loves having someone to take care of, while Morgan has someone else to protect. This was a shorter story that held a lot of emotions, it was wonderful to see the three of them get their HEA.

The cover art is nice, but needs to be zoomed in a bit to see the details.

This was the blurb I read: “Cops, Cole and Morgan Caldwell, have always had to hide their love for each other from the outside world. They are content with each other until the night they rescued Robby. Beaten and left in an alley by a john, Robby has never known true kindness and soon falls for both men, but Robby’s got a problem. His pimp, Vince, isn’t ready to let him go. Can two cops love a prostitute or will Robby’s baggage be too much for them to carry?”

I got that this was a threesome. What the blurb didn’t tell me is that Cole and Morgan are biological brothers. Now the incest angle doesn’t bother me, but it might freak someone else out. That was not the problem I had with the story.

A story should be lived. It’s what they call ‘showing’ vs ‘telling’. This story was a lot of telling and skipping. It was like getting short scenes and then leaving out how one tied to the next. Robby came into Cole & Morgan’s life as a raped prostitute who hated cops. So what did the cops do? Lie to Robby about what they do for a living. Not only that, but Cole doesn’t force Robby to go to the hospital, even when it’s obvious he was raped badly and needs some medical intervention.

Add in the fact that Robby lives the high life in a very upper class apartment complex via his pimp and supposedly made a thousand dollars a day as a high-priced hooker…. And has only $13k to show for it – and acts like that is a lot of money. Again, makes no sense.

The overall story concept was believable and intriguing. The actual story was not. There was no reason given for Cole and Morgan to fall for Robby and yet… they did instantly. We never saw a progression of why they would fall for him. Or why they needed him in their life so much they were willing to turn their lives upside down to keep him. And I needed to see that to root for them as a threesome – instead it was skipped and went to another scene and then skipped more story and went to another scene.

I just never understood why the brothers would trust or love Robby. Nor did I understand Robby’s turnaround from being scared raped boy to lust-filled man a couple days later while basically saying ‘ah, that was my job. I’m fine. Who cares if a guy shoved a whisk and a rolling pin up my bum and ripped me apart? Sex me up, big boy.’

Es un libro curioso, comenzando porque habla de incesto, y aunque es bastante tierno, a mi parecer bien llevado, como que por momentos carece de lógica y no hay mucho desarrollo de personajes ni de trama por la extensión de la obra.

Cole and Morgan Caldwell have been on their own since they were children after their parents died. They lived with their aunt Sandy who never saw anything wrong with the fact that Cole and Morgan slept in the same bed. For years it was only a comfort thing until they moved out into a flat. Then Morgan realised he was sexually attracted to Cole and felt so ashamed he asked for nightshift to avoid sleeping in the same bed as Cole. Unbeknownst to Morgan, Cole was so deeply affected by the way everything changed at home with Morgan distancing himself that he sought out a man to replace Morgan in his bed, only it didn’t work out the way Cole wanted and he ended up being raped. That was the turning point for the brothers. They both admitted to being in love with each other and they’ve been living with and loving each other ever since.
Cole is walking home when he finds Robby Miller, a prostitute who has been beaten and raped and left in an alley. Robby was with a “trick” who was a ‘friend’ of his pimp Vince. The man raped Robby with various kitchen utensils in between beatings. Cole takes Robby home to get him cleaned up since Robby refuses to go to a hospital. Cole has to not only tell Morgan that he’s found a beaten up prostitute who refuses to go to a hospital but he’s bought him home and he’s now asleep in the spare bedroom! Heaven forbid if Morgan realises how attracted he is to Robby considering the fact that he’s never been attracted to anyone but Morgan.
Morgan can see why Cole finds Robby attractive, under the scrapes and bruises he gorgeous but they’ve only ever slept with each other. The more time he spends with Robby the more he likes him and the more he finds he wants to see if there could possibly be anything between the three of them.
There are a lot of twists and turns in Cops and Robby that you really don’t expect. If you can get past the fact that this book is about two brothers having sex with each other because the storyline’s main focus is not about the brothers so much as it’s about Robby and how he came to be in the situation he was in when Cole found him, then I think you will really enjoy the story.

A Joyfully Jay review.

3 stars

While I have never read a book by Carol Lynne before and wanted to check out the author, I will completely own the fact that I mostly chose this book when I saw the word “brothers.” Cole and Morgan have been in a relationship for years and are each other’s entire world. We get a glimpse of their history and how their relationship evolved, but they are firmly an established couple at the opening of the book. So clearly take a pass if a relationship between brothers isn’t your thing.

This book had an interesting premise and three likable characters. It was not a full-length novel and suffered from trying to accomplish too much in too few pages. Cole is the first to find Robby who is beaten and in all kinds of pain. Cole has a nurturing demeanor and he can’t turn his back on Robby in need of help and takes him home. Every scene had something just a little off for me. Here we have Cole attending to Robby’s most intimate injuries the moment that he meets him. It could have gone the way of an erotic fantasy, but given the injuries and references to two off page rapes, it did not lend itself to that at all.

Cole and Morgan are solid in their relationship. Cole immediately informs Morgan that he brought Robby home and instantly Morgan can see that Cole is interested in Robby. Not in just caring for him, but aroused by him. Given the extent of Robby’s injuries and that Cole has only ever wanted Morgan, the timing was sudden and off. It of course doesn’t take Morgan long to then see how special Robby is and fall for him as well.

I enjoyed this story for what it was: something short and sweet, with the hurt/comfort aspect I absolutely love in fiction. Yes, two of the characters are brothers (and cops) but I've never had a problem reading that kind of relationship so it didn't bother me. I think it was really sweet that the two had never loved anybody before and then Robby came along and he became part of their family. It was just really sweet.

But I am a sucker for stories with brothers in them and I really loved the characters and that is the reason for my four stars :)

{M/M/M} Contemporary, Taboo
Robby knows first hand that being a prostitute is a dangerous occupation; thankfully Robby is rescued and sheltered by Cole and Morgan Caldwell, a couple of unique brothers that just happen to be cops.

Cops and Robby is a short story that exposes the secrets of three men. The plot highlights the three men growing into a loving long-term relationship.

Robby comes from an abusive home and turns to prostitution for his survival. Even after his rescue, Robby lives in fear of his vengeful pimp.

Cole and Morgan are brothers as well as lovers; this too could be perceived as survival after the family tragedy that occurred in their young lives. What started out as non-sexual comfort evolved into a deeper expression of brotherly love as adults.

Cops and Robby is an impressive and enjoyable saga. There is a small amount of Incest, but the main theme, as well as the intimacy, is a romantic ménage.

Cops and Robby by author Carol Lynne has some brotherly love in it. Cole and Moran are brothers. They have been in a relationship for a long time. When Cole finds Robby bleeding, beat up and alone in an alley he takes him home to help him heal. That is Cole’s nature to help the helpless. But Cole starts to have feelings for Robby.
Morgan loves Cole unconditionally so he gets to know the man who is stealing his brother’s heart and he too falls for Robby. It is really nice to see the scenes with Morgan and Robby you just see a ying and yang going on that tells you right away that Morgan is going to love Robby too.
Robby needs his two men. But can he accept they are cops? And Will his old life drag him back into darkness.
I loved this book lots of emotional angst, love and great story telling.

3.5 stars Short but sweet story. Two cops who are brothers in a secret relationship. One finds a beaten up prostitute and takes him home. They end up helping him turn his life around and become a threesome. It was short so didn't get to terribly involved, but enough to give a feel for things.

Unexpected relationship

Two brothers, Cole and Morgan, are in an incestuous relationship. Cole rescues Robby then falls for him first. Morgan soon feels the same. I wasn't expecting the incest. That made it feel icky.

Well, this was... it was simple and straight forward. Nothing hugely special but not awful. I rather enjoyed the simplicity of the book. Ill give it a solid 3.50 stars.

Story was okay, felt it was too short to really get to know any of the MC's. And the very last scene of the epilogue? Not my cup of tea.
