Cocky. Rude. Gorgeous. Those are the words Sasha Miles would use to describe the best man at her mother’s wedding. How could things get any worse? If Solomon Jacobson has to endure another of his father’s weddings, at least he has the beautiful maid of honor to distract him. And what a distraction she is…pretty, sexy, and endlessly intriguing. Learning their going to be family isn’t ideal, but he’s willing to work with it for another taste. Until she walks into his office Monday morning. When fate throws another curveball at the new step-siblings, they’ll have to figure out a way to get along while battling an attraction that could jeopardize everything.

Este cliché es totalmente mi tipo, ahora la manera de contarlo no. Re infantil, leí 30 páginas y saltie a ver como seguía la cosa. Y gracias a yisus que lo hice, no valía la pena la pérdida de tiempo.
As we know from the synopsis Sasha Mills meets a cocky, rude but gorgeous guy at her mother's wedding, that guy turns out to be Solomon Jacobson, the son of her mother's new husband making them step-siblings. Despite the fact that this guy's a huge jerk she can't help but be attracted to him and apparently he feels the same but after discovering they're now related Sasha keeps her distance until she finds herself working as his new assistant, this could prove to be a difficult situation for both of them. While I liked the sound of this book I wasn't sure initially if it was for me, the reason was I didn't particularly like either Sasha or Solomon at the wedding and nearly stopped reading, but I continued on and I'm happy I did because I was soon totally engrossed in the story. While you could argue that it's a bit contrived in places in didn't stop me enjoying it but near the end it seemed a bit, well in a rush to finish, things happened and to me it seemed a bit OTT and silly also out of character a bit and I couldn't understand why certain decisions were made but maybe that's just me. Despite the above I ultimately enjoyed this read.
I'm not sure what happened, but at 30% into the book it's like a completely different author took over and the characters maturity level took a nosedive. I was really liking the book up until then. I thought Sashia's character was cute, funny and sassy. And although Solomon was seeming arrogant, he was kinda sheepish about it, which came across kinda adorable. Then the wedding is over (now 30% into the book) and the characters become whiney. Sasha is now always "giggly" because the author keep describing Sasha's responses as giggly. Um, isn't she supposed to be a Columbia graduate?? Solomon I guess is supposed to be early to mid thirties, but he comes across as being barely 22 or 23.
The other frustrating thing was that the chapter POVs were not labeled, so it wasn't apparent if it was Solomon or Sasha. That was a bit confusing and became increasingly frustrating.
Great story, awesome sex & the trill of getting caught! For a short stepbrother romance it had it all for me. I liked that they didnt just jump into sex, this book had a story :) 5 great-read stars!
It wasn't terrible. The cover was great. It caught my attention and synopsis seemed interesting. When the book started up it was good. It got a little steamy and it hooked me in waiting to see what happens. But then it just went to full speed and became predictable and then it kind of lost me. I finished reading it because the plot was good and I was hoping it was going to get better. Over all the intensity was front end. Short Read. No cliffhanger.
I enjoyed this story, but it was rushed at the end. I expected Solomon to learn from his visit to his brother, but there were no details. Then he just comes home and everything is fixed and they have office sex? I was disappointed.
Not very impressed with this one I'm afraid. It started off great but continuously went down hill then. Confusing details, cringeworthy sex scenes and repetitive dialogue. Not for me :/
