The Beauty’s Bride, Madeline is auctioned off to Rhys at the beginning of this novel. She doesn’t know whether he has good intentions or ill. Slowly Rhys and Madeline start revealing all their secrets to one another. I did not like this one as much as I enjoyed the last one mostly because this was a Cousins get married story. It was rather hard for me to root for these two cousins to stay together. 3/5

The Rouge - Ysabella has run away from Myrlin and lives in the town of Kinfairlie. She doesn't want anything from him, but when his brother comes to tell her of his death, she is brokenhearted. She and her siblings go to his home, her newly inherited place, and find all is not quite what it seems. 2/5

The Renegade's Heart - Murdock has just escaped the fairy realm after three years of being held, prisoner. Isabella wants to make sure she is able to heal and not hurt after a prank went wrong as a child. The two meet when Murdock accuses Isabella's brother of stealing something from his family. He employs her to help but the fairy Queen is not ready to say goodbye to Murdock. I didn't really love the fairies in this one and the last. There were no fairies in the first book and then by this one they were main, side characters. I am not planning on continuing any of these series.

In a world of chivalrous, heroic knights and powerful and studly Scottish lairds, It's refreshing to have intelligent, strong women in these stories. I was intrigued by the blending of the mythical folklore of fae and spriggans and those special humans who could interact with them, sometimes with humorous and sometimes calamitous results.

This book was a collection of three books: The Rogue, The Beauty Bride, and The Renegade's Heart. Each being the first book in three different series involving the Laird of Ravenmuir and his numerous descendants and the families they married into and the properties they acquired and inherited. Each family had it's own legacy, secrets, and engaging personalities that give the stories their appeal, with the happy endings synonymous with historical romance.

I gave this 5 stars because each book held my attention from start to finish, I liked the characters, and even though the characters were interwoven, each book was different enough in it's plot that I didn't get bored with repetition of the same theme. I enjoyed these and look forward to reading the other books in each series.

Must read! I am insatiable for all characters Kinfairlie!

Claire's amazing gift of character development, story weaving and cross story growth to bring us more to love about our beloved Lammergeier siblings is awesome! I find these stories impossible to put down and find myself reading well into the early morning!
