Fighting for You was such a great read, and I loved finally getting the fourth Wright sister’s story. Delaney was amazing, I connected with her so much, especially her love for kids, and the nanny aspect was one of my favorite parts. The nanny trope always gets me, and this book did it so well.

Noah was such a great character too. I loved seeing how he stepped into that father-figure role for Charlotte and always put her first. The mystery and suspense woven into the story kept things interesting, and everything just fit together perfectly.

And I’m so excited because it looks like we’re getting a redemption arc for a future character. I honestly can’t wait for the last Wright sister’s book!!

Another great romantic suspense novel from Robin Patchen! This is book 8 in the Wright Heroes of Maine, but it could stand alone. There is some allusion to events in Capturing You, but you don't necessarily have to read that one to enjoy this one. But it does create a richer experience to read the books in order. This book follows Delaney Wright, who disappeared after the events of Capturing You and we catch up with her in Virginia seeking out a job as a nanny. Once she proves her mettle to Noah Aylett, she falls head over heels for his little niece she's been hired to watch. When she begins to also fall for him, she finds herself in danger more than once. And though this story takes place primarily in Virginia, we do get to catch up with the other Wright sisters towards the end of the book.

Though I read a lot of suspense books and can therefore often pinpoint the villain early on, this one threw me for a few loops. I was able to identify one character relatively early on, but wasn't sure how their story would play out, so this one was definitely an enjoyable ride. Unlike some of the other books in the series, this one was not all action all the way through (if it was, poor Charlotte would have been even more traumatized), which left a lot of room for character development and the romance element of the romantic suspense. The story still moved at a good pace and though I'm heavily plot-driven in my reading preferences, this was still a thoroughly enjoyable ride. I adored young Charlotte and how she was so central to both the romance and the suspense elements of the story. And I enjoyed seeing the growth in both character and faith for Noah and Delaney. It never ceases to amaze me how God uses my favorite authors to hit me square between the eyes with some lesson he is trying to teach me, but I had tears during one of the ending scenes of the book when Noah gave Delaney a gift for a reason that I definitely needed to hear in my own spirit. All in all, this was a thoroughly enjoyable story and one I can heartily recommend to fans of clean/Christian/inspirational romantic suspense stories. I look forward to the next story and reading about the youngest Wright sister (and I'm hoping to learn more about Noah's brother as well!) Special thanks to the author for an advance e-copy of this book! I was under no obligation to provide a review and the thoughts contained herein are my own.

“It wasn’t her experience. It was… her. She simply wasn’t good enough.”

It’s always a pleasure to read one of Robin Patchen’s Wright Heroes of Maine novels. Book #8, Fighting for You, has progressed to Delaney Wright. The third of four sisters of a famed former CIA agent, Delaney is out to prove that she can survive on her own merits. Sans her father’s money or the name recognition the Wright name would open doors for in Maine.

So, recalling the wealth of the Wright family, it is particularly interesting to see Delaney so determined to make it on her own, that she has to take refuge in a shelter. Delaney had always felt overlooked in her family of origin. She grew up feeling responsible for her younger sister, and somehow believes that her needs are always secondary to others’. Plus, she can see the obvious skills that each of her sisters possess that allow them to land great careers. And Delaney? She has one talent. Watching after children. She can nanny. Not exactly an enviable career choice to impress the great Gavin Wright, her father.

When Delaney happens to save little 4-yr-old Charlotte from disaster at a park, Charlotte’s grateful custodial uncle Noah hires Delaney on the spot. It is endearing to see just how well Delaney deals with little Charlotte and helps her to progress out of her trauma-based shell. Just as Delaney and Noah begin to realize that they share an attraction, Noah puts on the brakes to protect his upcoming merger. It saddened me to see Noah’ s priorities. He believes he needs to protect his legacy- his business and his house - to the detriment of the most important relationships around him. Delaney sets him straight and I can hear her indignant voice now! “‘That little girl upstairs?’ Delaney pointed toward the ceiling. ‘She’s an Aylett. She’s your family’s legacy.’ Delaney straightened, emboldened by the truth she felt in her bones. ‘Not this house. Not your business. Those are just your pride or some misguided sense of loyalty to dead people.’” Even a surprising character understands this truth about Noah.

The characters are very relatable. Delaney’s character doesn’t have a highly skilled job. Yet, I love how Robin Patchen shows how valuable nannies, childcare workers, and Moms are! I also loved that she shows us through Delaney that we can’t always compare ourselves with others. We’ll rarely see ourselves in a good light. ( Nor do you want to compare yourself like Noah did- based on status or “class”. You’ll rarely see the real person that way.) I also liked that Delaney realized maybe not everything in her childhood was as she perceived it. In addition, her father is learning even now, to be a better father.

I received a copy of this book from the author and publisher through Celebrate Lit. I also bought my own ebook. No positive review was required, and all opinions are my own.

Those who like plenty of action, a loveable child, & romantic suspense with both faith and humor, will want to give this series and novel a read.

Notable Quotables:

“Sometimes, all we can do is our best and then trust the Lord with the rest.”

“Children need to be protected. You’ve got to trust grown-ups to figure out their own lives.”

“He’d never been a dog person. Or a kid person, for that matter. He loved Charlotte, obviously, but kids should come with an instruction manual. And a self-cleaning mode.” - This one cracked me up!

This heart-tugging addition to an exciting series pulls readers right in emotionally and keeps them engaged throughout the endearing drama. Of course, danger lurks too, as one would expect from reading to rest of the series about five sisters. This book features the fourth sister, Delaney Wright, who feels the need to prove herself and that she can make it on her own without leaning on her wealthy family. She manages to get work as a nanny for Noah Aylett’s niece, Charlotte, and draws the traumatized girl out of her shell. The tale deals with various relationships as well as personal perceptions. The struggles feel so real. The suspense adds to the pulsing tension as does the fast-paced plot. The book can stand alone, but it’s best enjoyed as part of the riveting series about the Wright sisters. I loved the way Delaney cared so much for her young charge and how she helped transform the little girl in addition to saving her life. I received a copy from Celebrate Lit. All opinions are my own.

Fighting for You is I love a story where two sides come together for the good of both (and a child.) Add in an irresistible romance and it makes it even sweeter!

Recently, I’ve come to fully embrace covers that feature the male character. I’m not sure why I changed my mind, but I’m now a fan. I’m also a fan of great storytelling and interesting characters like Noah and Delaney. Their connection feels real, and there were twists along the journey that I wasn’t expecting.

With a theme of trust and love, I was fully invested and pleased the story includes an epilogue. (Something else I’ve grown to love.)

First Line: Noah Aylett preferred the hour before dawn to any other slice of the day.
Series: The Wright Heroes of Maine, book 8
Genre: Christian Mystery and Suspense

It was so easy to love these two main characters. Delaney because she was determined to make it on her own without any help from her wealthy family, and Noah because in spite of being a bachelor, he took over care of his four year old niece. Delaney was hired by Noah to be the live in nanny for his niece Charlotte. Both were determined to prove their worth. Many obstacles got in their way but they fought through them. Lots of excitement too with stalkings, kidnappings and aimed gun shots. This was a stay up late at night, edge of your seat story and I really enjoyed it.
I received a complimentary copy of this novel from the publisher through Celebrate Lit but was not required to write a review.

Some stories don’t just invite you in—they grab your heart and refuse to let go. Fighting For You by Robin Patchen is one of them. This book is the eighth book in The Wright Heroes of Maine series.

From the moment Delaney Wright runs from her broken past into a quiet Virginia estate, the story weaves together tender emotion, simmering romance, and edge-of-your-seat suspense. What begins as a simple nanny job quickly becomes a battle for safety, trust, and the fragile future of a little girl caught in the crosshairs of danger.

Delaney is a heroine you can’t help but root for. After a devastating betrayal, her confidence is shaken, but her belief in the good in others remains beautifully intact. Her gentle spirit and steady faith shine through every interaction—especially with four-year-old Charlotte, whose grief and innocence add an emotional depth that tugs hard at the heartstrings.

Then there’s Noah Aylett—brooding, driven, and fiercely protective. He’s a man fighting on multiple fronts: a stalker growing bolder by the day, a high-stakes business merger that could secure his family’s legacy, and the sudden responsibility of becoming Charlotte’s guardian. Letting anyone close is the last thing he wants…until Delaney’s quiet strength starts breaking down the walls he’s built so carefully.

What makes this story truly unforgettable is the way the romance and suspense dance together. Just when the chemistry between Noah and Delaney begins to spark, danger strikes. Just when you think you can breathe, another shadow looms. The tension is constant, the stakes are high, and every chapter feels like a step closer to something either wonderful—or devastating.

At its core, this is a story about more than just survival. It’s about healing. About choosing trust after betrayal. About discovering that sometimes God places the right person in your life not just to walk beside you—but to help you fight for what matters most.

Final Thoughts:
If you love clean romantic suspense that delivers both swoon-worthy moments and heart-racing twists, this book deserves a spot at the top of your reading list. It’s tender without being slow, thrilling without being overwhelming, and deeply emotional without losing its sense of hope.

⭐ This book is perfect for readers who enjoy protective heroes, faith-filled journeys, and stories where love shines brightest in the face of danger.

So check out Fighting for You by Robin Patchen and the rest of The Wright Heroes of Maine series.

I received a complimentary copy of this book, but this in no way influenced my review. All opinions are my own.

Robin Patchen just keeps writing these awesome books. When I know another on is coming I get so excited! This one is book 8 of the Wright Heroes of Maine and its another page turner. We have Delaney who we heard about in previous books but this is a stand alone,it is a bit more enriching if you read them in order. She left Shadow Cove, her hometown when she found out her boyfriend was a crimminal and she lost all her confidence in herself. She travels to a town by the ocean in Virginia and starts looking for a job there. She comes across a nanny job which is what she loves to do. There she meets Noah Aylett and his niece Charlotte who is 4 years old. She finally proves herself capable to Noah and she falls in love with Charlotte who is a very traumatized little girl! Delaney breaks through to her and they become very close and then she finds herself falling for Noah as well, that's when she finds herself in danger more then once. All the while Noah is trying to keep from letting any scandal touch them. He's in the middle of closing a very important business deal. The danger is coming from all directions and the villains through me for a loop a few times. I really identified with Delaney with her love of children the way she connected with Charlotte and also with her loss of confidence when making the wrong decisions. I loved the way Noah just stepped up to be Charlottes father figure and kept making her feel safe. This book didn't have the constant suspense her other ones had but with a 4 year old in it it,was just the right amount. I was amazed at how she grew her characters and there faith in every story! I cannot wait until her next book with the youngest Wright sister in it. This book was a very enjoyable read I highly recommend it and give it 5 stars! I want to thank this author for an early Arc of this book, my review and opinions are my own.

This author has become one of my favorite when it comes to suspense. I love how the characters are dynamically featured. Coming from similar different places it was fun to watch Delaney and Noah interact. Delaney was who I gravitated to. She tries so hard to be accepted but feels rejected most of the time. I felt her struggle as she gets ready for an interview. Can you imagine what it would be like if you had to wear discarded, dirty and smelly clothes?

Delaney has a big heart and shows it over and over as she protects sweet little Charlotte. Children can sense when they are around someone safe. Without hesitation, Delaney rescues Charlotte from a near tragic accident. Their bond is instant and will prove to be important as the story continues.

Noah is fierce, rough around the edges and completely dedicated to his niece Charlotte. It doesn’t take him long to discover that Delaney is perfect for the job as a nanny. He is in high demand at his company but news has leaked out about him raising a child alone. Will the publicity harm his hard work at merging with another company ? The tension is high as danger starts to surface around him.

The story gives me shivers as the intensity heightens around our main characters. The attraction between Delaney and Noah is a slow build where they each must learn to trust each other. It is evident that someone is out to destroy Noah but why? The author shows readers how gifted she is as the adrenaline rush pushes the story deeper into intense action. Grab a place to get comfortable so you won’t be disturbed. This book needs to be read in one setting because it is hard to put down. Once again I am so happy to have my craving for a good mystery story delivered in this thriller.

I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit. The review is my own opinion.

Rebuilding Life after Painful Betrayal

Intrigue…. Yes
Suspense…. Definitely
Inspiration …. For sure
Redemption … In more ways than one
Drama … Wait for it, it’s definitely there

Betrayal always hurts and sometimes you just have to get out of town, away from family and friends to prove to yourself and others that you ‘can make it’ on your own.

This is Delaney Wright’s situation… and yes, she’s definitely a Wright, the family loaded with brains and braun… and beauty. She fell for the wrong man and needed to get away…. away from memories, from gossip and even from family. It’s not easy being a Wright.

Determined to get a new start she leaves the family home in Maine and heads to Virginia where she meets Noah Aylett… and no, it’s definitely not ‘love at first sight’. Noah has his own problems. He needs a nanny badly. His little niece, who is malnourished and has been abused, is dumped off on him. Noah feels heavy pressure to maintain the family legacy. Easier said than done. He needs to keep the family business running and make sure little Charlotte, who he calls Charlie-bear, is loved.

Enter Delaney Wright, who applies for Noah’s open nanny position and immediately is rejected. Noah judged her at first impression without knowing any background. He soon finds out that was a BIG mistake. If you know anything about the Wrights you know they are protectors and Delaney certainly doesn’t shame the family name. It doesn’t take Noah long to realize he misjudged her and immediately pleads for her to take the nanny post.

This is another storyline that keeps you turning the pages needing to see how it will end … and yes, two of the Wrights step in and play a small but very important role assisting Delaney. It was soooo good to ‘see’ them again.

Delaney Wright has left home after the betrayal of her ex-boyfriend. She is not so sure of herself or her judgement anymore. So, leaving her family, she goes someplace to get away from everyone she knows and to start over. However, Delaney gets so down on her luck that she is low on cash and ends up in a shelter, waiting on a job.

Noah Aylett is busy with work and taking care of his four-year-old niece, who he has custody of. Neither his brother nor her mother is capable of taking care of Charlotte, nor seem to want too. This is not what Noah thought he would be doing at this phase in his life. But he loves Charlotte and will protect and care for her no matter what. His love and concern for her really leapt off the page.

After some less than happy confrontations, Noah eventually hires Delaney as a nanny. Delaney is a natural and Charlotte takes right to her. Which is a good thing and Delaney's family's background has certainly prepared her to keep on the lookout for some unsavory individuals that keep hanging around. If only Delaney can trust herself to make the right calls.

This was a romance between a nanny and her employer, with a bit of mystery and danger thrown in, and two people learning to forgive themselves and let go of their past mistakes and take that tentative step into a brighter future. Both for their sakes and for a little girl who so desperately needs a second chance as well.

I was provided a copy of this novel from the author. I was not required to post a positive review and all views and opinions are my own.

This was a different story that focused more on character development than on suspense at every turn like other Wright Hero books. I enjoyed it very much. There was still the "threat" of suspense and the worry of things to come but it wasn't running from constant danger that was prevalent in the other books. A nice change! I love both scenarios!
Delaney has had to get out of Maine and away from her family for a while to see if she can make it on her own after her last relationship fiasco. She's about hit rock bottom but she's going to prove to herself and her family that she doesn't need dad's money or connections to survive! She heads to Virginia and hopes to find a nanny job there because that's what she's good at. However, as money becomes scarce and jobs are hard to find, she doesn't know what to do...until she rescues darling Charlotte from a bad nanny at a park. I absolutely loved Charlotte! I'm a sucker for a neglected child! She's finally been given to her Uncle Noah as a guardian but he's clueless as to how to raise a 4-year-old! He has a big business merger in the works and a little girl who needs so much attention. He loves her dearly, but he's divided in two directions, not to mention people breaking into his house and scary things ramping up his worry monitor!!! Now he hires Delaney as the perfect nanny, but does she have to be so beautiful, and does he have to be so attracted to her?
Both Delaney and Noah have personal issues to work through and as I said, the character development was fantastic in this one! I highly recommend it!

Review of advance copy received from Author

What do you get when you bring together a wealthy business owner, a young girl who was practically dropped on his doorstep, and a beautiful young woman who is seeking a job as a nanny? I suppose that depends on a number of factors. I loved the way Robin Patchen wove Charlotte as an integral part of the story. I cannot imagine the story without Charlotte. Noah was working with all he had to keep the legacy of his family alive while his brother Jasper did who knows what. Well, we know he fathered a daughter and left her with Noah to care for and provide for when she was four years old. Delaney, the next to youngest daughter of the Wright family of Maine, has chosen to relocate to Driftwood, Virginia, to prove to herself and her family, specifically her father, that she can make it on her own. The further I got into the book, the more questionable that became. Noah desperately needed a nanny for Charlotte, and Delaney desperately needed a job before her funds ran out making it necessary to return home. Come along for the ride to see how all this works out. The three leading characters made for a wonderful story of intense drama, fast-paced action, romance, love for a child, and faith. With multiple villains, there was no time for them to slow down and catch their breath. I have to admit there were times when I was practically biting my nails while other times I was ready to tackle some bad guys. I received an advance copy of this book from the author. This is my honest review. All opinions are strictly my own.

Fighting for You
By Robin Patchen

Another amazing book by author Robin Patchen. This is the eighth book in the Wright Heroes of Maine series. This book is also considered a stand-alone book.

You first meet Noah Aylett, he is a businessman working at MidAtlantic the technology company his father built. Noah’s brother Jasper left his four-year old daughter, Charlotte in Noah’s care.

Next you meet Delaney Wright, she is the second youngest sister out of five daughters. Delaney is new to Driftwood, Virginia and is in need of a job. When a job for a nanny comes up, Delaney is sure this is the right job for her based on her experience with children.

Delaney is living at a women’s shelter and is desperate to make it on her own without her father’s money. On the day of the interview, her outfit gets dirty and she must wear one of the other women’s shirts. Unfortunately, the shirt she borrows smells of cigarette smoke.
When she gets to the interview at Noah’s house he immediately can smell the cigarette odor and before she can even get a word in, he says this isn’t going to be a good fit and slams the door in her face. Delaney is devastated and doesn’t understand what happened.

A few days later Delaney is at the park and she recognizes Charlotte. Charlotte has a new nanny and when she wanders off the nanny is not paying attention. Delaney intervenes and stops Charlotte from getting lost. Delaney confronts the nanny and as she’s talking to her Noah comes to see what’s going on. He was watching the nanny from afar and saw everything that was happening. He immediately fires the nanny and hires Delaney for the job.

Delaney takes Charlotte to the park and notices someone was watching them. She tells Noah and he is concerned because right before he hired Delaney someone tried to break into his house while he and Charlotte were home. As Delaney notices more incidents and feels like she’s being watched. The incidences increases and things start to get dangerous.

Noah and Delaney must work together to figure out who is behind everything that’s been going on before someone gets hurt.

Come along on this action-packed, page-turning adventure. I highly recommend this book and you will not be disappointed.

Happy Reading!

Having been raised in a wealthy home in a small town where the Wright name carried a lot a weight, Delaney was anxious to strike out and prove to her family, and to herself, that she could make it on her own. Ending up in a homeless shelter hadn't been part of the plan, and Delaney was thrilled, and a bit nervous, about finally landing a job as nanny to a four-year-old little girl who had experienced more than her share of trauma. Noah Aylett had not anticipated becoming the legal guardian of his niece, but here he was trying to meet her needs as she adjusted to living in a new place with someone she did not know well and had yet to learn to trust, while also trying to keep his business, his father's legacy, afloat. You can foresee how these two protagonists' lives are about to become connected. What you cannot foresee are the many challenges, dangers, and fears Robin Patchen has written into their lives. The themes of trust, compassion, and priorities are well-developed as the intrigue and suspense play out and the beginnings of romance struggle to emerge. I highly recommend this five star read.

Fighting for You works well as a stand alone read, but readers will appreciate the story more if they read the Wright Heroes of Maine series in order. I really enjoy that Patchen writes lengthy series that allow her readers to become invested in her characters. I am grateful to have received a complimentary copy of this book from the author via Book Funnel without obligation. All opinions expressed here are my own.

Excellent! Enjoyable And Entertaining!!

The Wright family saga continues spectacularly. Delaney Wright, one of five sisters, has left Maine and is living in Virginia, unemployed and staying in a women's shelter. She is determined to make it on her own, rejecting any help from her family. Down to only forty-seven dollars and refusing to cash her father's generous check, she applies for a job as a live-in nanny. However, the uncle of the child takes one look at her and not only rejects her on sight but refuses to interview her and practically slams the door in her face. All because her clothes smell of cigarette smoke. He doesn't even ask why, not realizing that it's because of where she is currently staying.

Dejected and feeling defeated, she almost gives up, but fate has a way of stepping in. During an encounter at the park, she rescues the young child she was hoping to become a nanny for when the person in charge allows her to wander away.

What follows is a very engaging story of family, trauma, healing, and realizing what matters. Charlotte, her uncle Noah, who is now her guardian and is trying to cope with all the child has been through in her short life, is also dealing with corporate mergers, espionage, and a stalker. He finds solace with Delaney in charge of Charlotte's well-being and care. He is determined to keep things strictly professional between them, but can he actually fight the growing attraction? Highly recommended. You won't be disappointed! Five glittering stars! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Right Balance

I love the action and suspense. The writing is tight which means to the point and well stated. The story is very exciting. The characters are strong which I like a lot. Some Christian romantic suspense books seem to have very passive adults. Not a fan of that, but Robin Patchen always delivers characters with real personality and chutzpa.

I do not care for the tropiness like the reason why the main characters think they should not be together. I do like how Delaney resolved her internal conflicts by talking to her cousin.

My biggest problem is that the couples aren’t married yet. Seriously, do adults that age wait YEARS to tie the knot? I think it unlikely. I guess the rest of the plots are unlikely as well, but that is why we read romantic suspense! Lol. Anyway, what’s the holdup on the couples marrying? Extended dating relationships take the passion out of the romance. I am not talking wedding but marriage. I don’t care for long scenes with lots of descriptions about wedding paraphernalia, but marriage because the couples cannot stand to be apart.

Anyway, I have loved almost all the books in this series. One aspect I like is the thoughtful discussion about the trauma that witnessing, experiencing, and committing violence brings. This adds authenticity to the books because it raises some real world moral implications as well as psychological insights. At heart, though, the books are just plain, clean fun.

This might be my favorite book in this series so far. I love that Delaney got her story — and what a story it was, with romance, suspense, and faith wrapped in the perfect package. The depth of character, and heartfelt, deeply touching emotions was the bow on top that made it that much more beautiful.

Noah has always been the fixer in his family, watching out for his brother and now parenting his niece. He’s determined to succeed, but feels inadequate and overwhelmed by the responsibility of caring for a four-year-old the right way. He’s trying to make the best of the situation while saving the family legacy. I love this guy—not only is he good looking in the swoon worthy way I expect Robin’s heroes to be, but he’s a really good man. Be still my heart.

Delaney’s path to independence and to Noah is not easy. She is her own worse enemy and at the same time her greatest motivator. I love that her path isn’t easy, that her relationship with Noah has to be worked for, and that the end is so much better than the beginning. I was thrilled to ride along on her journey.

This book had the perfect balance of love, doubt, excitement, suspense, and an adorable little girl. I absolutely recommend it to every romantic suspense reader out there.

"Who was the pretty lady?"

Noah Aylett's business driven lifestyle was upended the moment his wayward brother deposited a four year old daughter into Noah's care. Facing a particularly crucial crossroads involving a lucrative merger for his family's tech company, Noah decides to hire a live-in nanny to care for his precious Charlie-Bear during the daytime hours. Imagine his surprise when a lovely young woman knocks on his door.

Delaney Wright is determined to make a life for herself without the help of her family or their money. Upon arrival in a quaint coastal Virginia community, she seeks employment based on her vast experience as a nanny. After being summarily dismissed from the Aylett estate, Delaney is plagued with doubts about her decision to leave home, when a chance encounter in a local park brings her back to the attention of Noah Aylett.

Sounds like a sweet contemporary romance, right? On one level it certainly is exactly that. However, rumbling beneath the surface are multiple unseen fissures just waiting to crack wide open, challenging everything and everyone that Noah and Delaney have come to hold dear.

"A woman was standing on the sidewalk. She held a handgun - aimed at Delaney."

Fighting for You by Robin Patchen is book 8 in the Wright Heroes of Maine series. Delaney has left Shadow Grove and is trying to start a new life. Almost out of money, she is staying at a shelter while looking for a job. She applies for a job as a nanny for Noah’s niece, Charolette but is turned away right away because her clothes have picked up a smoke smell from the shelter. Instead he hires someone who does not keep an eye on Charolette while at the park.

This is such a good story. I enjoyed the mystery behind who breaks into his home, who is watching them and why. I also enjoyed how hard Noah his working to save the family business after others have taken so much from it. I especially enjoyed how he is able to move forward and restore his friendship with a long time good friend. I appreciate how Delaney has to start over, but really like how she starts to rebuild her relationship with the sisters she left behind. This is a really good story that points out what we think of someone when we first meet them is not always right. That sometimes we need to see them repeatedly to know the real person.

I voluntarily received a complimentary copy of this book, this is my honest review.

Fighting for You is the wonderful fourth book in a series, but really, it feels like about the 20th because several series are intertwined. I love this author. And I love the Wright family. This book follows Delaney Wright, who is the fourth out of five daughters. We’ve read books about three of the other girls, and the fifth is coming soon (but not soon enough).

Now, if you’re going to read this book, you should know that you really, really need to read all the other books. You need to read about the Wright cousins and the sisters. They’re all amazing, and each one builds on the ones before it. Now, that said, it can be read as a stand-alone novel, but why would you do that?! Why read one book when you can read lots?! I’m always a fan of more books!

I loved getting to know Delaney better. We met her in one of the previous books. And when all the dust settles, her boyfriend is actually a bad guy involved in some bad things that involved her sister’s fiancé. It’s a long story, and you had to be there (i.e., go read that book first!).

She’s determined to make a go of it on her own without her family’s name or help. So she heads to Virginia. She stays in a shelter until she can find a job. And that’s a fun little bit of how she got the nanny position!

Charlotte is absolutely adorable and precocious. I wanted to get into the pages and swoop her up and protect her and love her through the whole book. I’ve seen hurt and traumatised kids. It’s so hard but so wonderful when they heal and come out of their protective shells.

There are so many other characters and plots and pieces I want to chat to you about, but I’m not going to. It would give away too much. It’s one of those you had to be there stories, so grab your copy and read it now! Wait! If you haven’t read at least the other three sisters, could you please grab them and read them first? A binge reading weekend, maybe?

I have voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book, which I received from Celebrate Lit. All views expressed are only my honest opinion. I was not required to write a positive review, nor was I compensated in any other way. All opinions expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the FTC regulations.

This is the 8th book of the Wrights of Maine series and Robin Patchen has penned another winner!
Delaney sets out on her own to determine whether she can make it without her family's influence and finds herself in a women's shelter, broke and needing a job. When she is hired to be 4 year old Charlotte's nanny, she discovers and unwanted attraction to Charlotte's uncle.
Noah wasn't ready to be a full-time single parent when his younger brother dropped Charlotte on his doorstep. With Delaney ensconced in his household, he can turn his attention to his business. Someone is undermining Noah's efforts to form a merger with another company and he finds himself being targeted on a personal level. Can Noah save his company and his reputation? Or will his attraction to Delaney be his downfall?
And then, the author takes you on a rollercoaster with more twisting turns than a pretzel, straight from her imagination! There's a break-in, business sabotage and kidnapping. Beware of books written by this author! You will not sleep once you crack this book open because
You. Can't. Put. It. Down!!!
A pulse-pounding romantic suspense with all the best feels.

Robin Patchen's novel Fighting For You, lives up to its title in every way. Noah Aylett has custody of his traumatized four year old niece, Charlotte, and is drowning. On the verge of a huge merger he desperately needs a nanny when in walks Delaney Wright.

Initially dismissive of her, Aylett hires her when she proved her worth. The mysterious events continue: break-ins, destruction, stalking, car crashes... Who is behind all this and why? Is it just one person or many? Noah & Delaney are stumped for answers. Will they continue to fight until the very end?

To get them, read this heart thumpingly great novel. It had me biting my nails, with its pulse pounding suspense in the first chapter, indeed the first few paragraphs, itself.

I enjoyed the novel so much, was so captivated by it, that I finished it in one day. It's easy to read, has a nice slow burn romance, a child healing from trauma, a man and woman learning God doesn't make mistakes.

I received a reader copy from the author through Celebrate Lit, but this is my honest opinion, uninfluenced by any other consideration.

Christian Romantic Suspense is a favorite genre. Fighting for You by Robin Patchen is Book 8 in The Wright Heroes of Maine.I have been waiting for this release, as the series has been so good thus far.

I can honestly say this storyline is intriguing from the very beginning. The 2 main characters in this book are Delaney Wright and Noah Aylett. Delaney is wanting to make a fresh start on life after going through some relationship issues. She moves to Virginia and finds a job as a Live in Nanny. Noah has just gained custody of his 4 year old niece and Delaney was chosen as the Nanny. Noah notices how Delaney is an encouragement to Charlotte and he is amazed by her. Noah is determined to reach a life changing business deal, although he is being stalked. I LOVE how Delaney and Noah come together to try to figure out who is trying to create issues in Noah's life. Delaney and Noah are focused on keeping Charlotte safe throughout all the happenings and dangers that lurk. The twists and turns in this storyline are what will keep the reader focused on finishing the story. I recommend this book to anyone who loves Christian Romance Suspense Novels. GREAT BOOK!

Ms. Patchen has given us another awesome story about the Wright family. This time with the brothers' cousins, a family of five sisters. They are also from Shadow Cove, Maine. Delaney is the 2nd youngest sister, and after all the excitement of the last book, she just disappeared, embarrassed about the secrets that came out. Delaney isn't like her sisters. She doesn't have big dreams about what she wants to be. She wants the simple things of life, and because of this, she feels like she is a disappointment to her family. Delaney steps into a whirlwind that is a great story. Lots of excitement, suspense, romance, and intrigue! By the time I got to a certain point in the story, I wasn't able to put it down! You will love the new characters, the Aylett’ brothers, Noah, and Jasper. Charlotte, a very sweet little girl, worms her way into your heart. Don't miss this suspenseful read. it's great, and I can't wait for the next book. I feel like I know secrets about Jasper that I want to find out if I'm right!

Fighting for You is book #8 in the Wright Heroes of Maine series. While each installment can be enjoyed as a standalone, I wholeheartedly recommend reading the entire series.
Noah Aylett—handsome, wealthy, and successful—steps into the unexpected role of raising his brother’s abandoned four-year-old daughter, Charlotte. To help, he hires Delaney Wright as a live in nanny. Delaney, still healing from a painful breakup, has traveled from her home in Maine to Virginia determined to prove she can stand on her own.
What follows is a fast-paced, twist-filled story. As Noah navigates a high-stakes business merger, danger and interference seem to lurk around every corner. When Charlotte’s safety is threatened, Noah and Delaney must work together to protect the little girl they’ve both come to love.
I was hooked from the very first page and found myself racing through this captivating, heartfelt story. Another wonderful addition to a series that continues to deliver suspense, emotion, and unforgettable characters.

Delaney Wright was determined to make it on her own without the help of her affluent family; however, circumstances forced her to a shelter. And then she was summarily dismissed when she applied for a nanny position for Noah Aylett's sweet 4-year-old niece but when Delaney rescued Charlotte from what could have been a dangerous situation, Noah has to re-think having Delaney as a nanny, especially as Charlotte becomes quickly attached to her. However, when Delaney accepts the nanny position, she unwittingly walks into danger. Someone is stalking her, but who and why? Is it related to a business deal of her employer or to a woman who is obsessed with believing Noah belongs to her? And what about precious little Charlotte who so desperately needs stability and love in her life?

This is a clean, fascinating, fast-paced story which I thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend. I received an ARC of this book; the opinions expressed above are strictly my own.

This is another good Christian romantic suspense featuring one of the Wright family. This time it is one of the daughters who feels she needs to leave home to find a life for herself. Delaney is developed well as a character. We get to see the pressure she felt she was under being in such an accomplished family. She is determined to make it on her own. She is not sophisticated nor suspicious so is a little naive when it comes to possibly making new friends. That gets her into trouble and suspense follows. My favorite character was little Charlotte. What a trooper of a child after all she has suffered.

I liked this latest novel featuring members of the Wright family or their spouses. It is a good romantic suspense with a subtle underlying theme of Christian faith. It is part of a long series but reads well on its own.

I received a complimentary egalley of this book through Celebrate Lit. My comments are an independent and honest review.

"Fighting for You" by Robin Patchen is the 8th book in the series. And sometimes when series are this long the books gets to be not so good but not this series. This book kept me turning the pages. If you like stories with a loveable 4-year-old and suspense and when the two main characters start out as enemies but don't end up that way, then you need to read this book. This book has faith and humor. I can't believe I am typing this, but I think this book would be a good read as a standalone, but I have to ask why would you want to read part when you could read each book and learn about all the members of the Wright family. My heart was hurting for Charlotte and all the abuse she had suffered before coming to Noah's house and so glad that Delaney and Noah were there for her! I have enjoyed reading this series and getting to meet the Wright family.
I received a complimentary copy from the author and Celebrate Lit and these opinions are my own.

Another book in the series about the Wright sisters - cousins of the brothers in previous books. Delaney is a nanny and feeling inferior to her “talented” sisters BUT … when a little girl, Charlotte, needs love and special care, Delaney is the perfect person! Charlotte’s Uncle, Noah, is a bachelor and taking care of her but completely outside of his comfort level or experience. With outside forces prompting the need for more intentional protection, both Noah and Delaney must do all they can to ensure the safety of this little girl.
This book is not as fast paced as previous books in the series but, it had me engaged from the very first pages and I was impressed with the many ways the welfare of this little girl was a priority. I’m sure time spent with these latest characters will touch your heart.
