Story would have worked as well or better if it was chronologically later on. The story is occuring simultaneously with the first four books, and before all of the series that followed on (Lord of the Var, Zhang Dynasty).

Another great book

This is book 5 in the series and it's just as good as the prior books. This time we are introduced to the cousins of the Princes from the first 4 books. I enjoyed getting to learn more about another part of the planet. It also gives information about other parts of the universe.

This book was about 10 chapters shorter than the normal Dragon Lord book but is meant to be picked up by three additional books. I liked the story of two sisters who hitch a ride from Galaxy Brides and both end up brides, One of the two sisters work for the federation as a commincations analyst and picks up a message that a hostile species the Tyoe are going to attach the Draig and the home planet they live on to take the planets rich minerals and / ore. This is used to fuel shipps..

So Aeron gets her sister to help to get to this planet the sister Ri is a gambler and univers traveler 'a jack of no trades' scammer and lover of life. These two come from a planet which was destoryed by a war ship who had a new weapon and wanted to try it out well they did and blew up the planet and themselves in the end but Aeron and Ri were off planet on a field trip for school. Aeron now has a complex which causes her to want to help others, hearing this transmission from the Tyoe she reports to her boss and they tell her don't worry about it the Draig planet is not in the federation not our business... She cannot except that with what happended her own planet. So Her sister Ri gets them on the Galaxy Brides ship as brides which they have no plan on becoming brides..

During the breeding festival of brides High duke Bron sees Aeron and his crystal goes off of course.. he takes her back to the tent and all she wants to do is talk to the king, but also she is drunk on Maidens brew a wines given to brides that makes them well sort of ready to agree on most anything 'sex, marriage' and anything else.. Aeron knows if she removes Bron's mask she is considered married to him, she ask him if he can remove the mask with out her being married to him but he tricks her when he says yes, be cause he can after the ceremony he can remove it himself and not be married.. but he cannot speak to her but say choose or decide until she removes the mask, so after removing it she sees he is hot... good looking and she is drunk and ready to have sex, and for her this is a death sentance... must read to find out.. so she ends up married, drugged by the king, nothing goes right and then finally.

Bron believes her story after he is kidnapped and they must try to help the planet but can they?? One of the more plotting stories in this series, a love story and a good ending that is to be continued...

Aeron Grey overhears a transmission signaling the possible invasion to the planet Qurilixen while at work for the Federation. When she reports her suspicions, her superiors don’t want to get involved since Qurilixen is not part of the Federation. Not one to take the possible destruction of a planets’ population in stride she sets out with the help of her sister to warn the Qurilixen people of the attack. Unfortunately the only way they can find to get there is using the Galaxy Brides corporation where they must sign a contract to become brides on that planet. Aeron doesn’t see this as a problem since she doesn’t plan to stay there or be picked as a bride.

Lord Bronislaw, High Duke of Draig attends the Breeding Festival for the seventh time, he has lost all hope that he will find a bride. He is pleasantly shocked to discover his bride in Aeron and sets out to make her his.

This is the 5th book in the Dragon Lords series set in the same time frame as the previous four books. Bron is the cousin of the four princes and his family is in charge of the breeding of animals, mining, and some intergalactic travel. It has been a few weeks since I read about the four princes so it was nice to go back to the series. While this book is a nice addition to the series, I felt there was something lacking in it. It’s not as long as the previous books and it seems to end abruptly with many unanswered questions. You do get a brief epilogue where you know that the rest of the story will be told in the other brothers books but it still leaves Bron and Aeron’s story a little up in the air.

I was happy to see that this story took place (mostly) away from the palace and if you don’t read the previous four books, you won’t be lost. All the locations, building and clothes were well described. I just wish there was a little more of just Bron and Aeron. Their relationship was sometimes put on the back burner so that the set up for the series could be told. With that said I still really enjoyed the story and I will be looking for the next one when it comes out.

It's always a pleasure when a book series continues to get better. Aeron and Bron's story has gone that small extra step beyond and brought more. While the circumstance in which they meet follows the same theme as previous Dragon Lord books, it comes into its own after the festival. Bron and his brothers handle the mines and all to do with them. Aeron is on a mission to save Quirilixen from a fate similar to her own world. Aeron is a very likable heroine and Bron is his own unique hero. The story reads fresh despite being fifth in the series. There is no rush in the reading either but that doesn't mean it is dull or boring. This is a story to be enjoyed. It serves well as a standalone too so if a reader jumps in at this point they wouldn't "miss" anything but the most pleasure lays in reading the series in order. I doubt that fans or newbies would be disappointed in this book and would encourage both to add it to their libraries.

These Draig have some heat!
Aeron is a military analysts on a mission to save the world! Well not her world but a world none the less.
But she needs to get there first. Going to her sister for help doesn't turn out like she expects. She just wanted to help. What has she gotten herself onto?
Bron hopes this will be the year the gods bless him with a mate. Seventh times the charm, right? He tries not to be excited, but he can't help it.
While lost in thought, his crystal lights up as she walks by. At last but, which one? His eyes as well as his crystal finds her and he's hooked.
Aeron tries not to want him, she must stay on mission. Having him sets in motion something that cannot be undone.
Bron going against the gods not only risk the curse, but tarnishes his and his families honor.
Both are stubborn, but they draw closer as ambushes, planetary attacks, intrigue and passions grow.
Great characters. Funny. STEAMY. HFN.

Book 5 in the Qurilixen Galaxy Brides Series. Another great story!

Aeron Grey is working as a civilian communications specialist for the Federation. She intercepts a message indicating that the Tyoe are planning a possible genocide attack on the planet of Qurilixen. She brings it to her bosses attention and they tell her they don’t care. The Qurilixen are not under the protection of the Federation. She and her sister Riona are the only survivors of their planet. It was targeted and destroyed while they were on their way home from an outing. She cannot let that happen to another planet without warning them. All of her communications are monitored, so she tracks down her estranged sister and begs for her help. Riona gets them a “ride” to Qurilixen on the Galaxy Bride Ship. She doesn’t tell Aeron until they are on their way to the planet. Aeron is horrified at what her sister has done, but she can’t really do anything about it. She figures she will tell the King about the pending attack and then get back on the ship and leave. It doesn’t quite work out that way for her as she is picked as a bride by the “crystal”. Her groom is Lord Bronislaw, the nephew of the King. Bron has not been blessed with a bride for the 5 years he has been old enough to attend, and he figures this year will be the same. Imagine his surprise when he is blessed with a bride, but the bride doesn’t want anything to do with him. Every time Aeron gets close enough to the King to tell him, something happens. Bron carts her off to a mountain cabin at the King’s orders, to get his marriage under control! Can they work out their differences and learn to trust each other in time to save the planet? A great book with lots of twists and turns.

It was an absolute pleasure to read this very entertaining dragon shifter romance & runs concurrently with the previous books in this series but it can easily stand on its own. The plot is exceptionally intriguing & has splendid world-building with good scene descriptions. The two main characters are very interesting individuals, who are both strong-willed individuals with different points of view but they continue to develop throughout the storyline to become a well-adjusted loving couple.
It is about: a feisty female civilian analyst (Aeron Grey) for the Federation Military discovers a communication about a possible genocide attack on the Qurilixen world & defies an order to ignore the message. Aeron with the help of her fun-loving crazy sister (Riona) lands up on a Galaxy Bride Ship in a desperate attempt to save the this planet but the situations changes when she lands up in a breeding festival held on this planet & is chosen by the High Duke of the Draigs (Lord Bronislaw aka Bron) as his fated mate but Aeron is not exactly happy about the situation she finds herself in.
There is: Draigs (dragon shifters), Vars (cat shifters), greedy hostile aliens (Tyoe), fated mates, family comradery, adventure, action, intrigue, suspense, twists & turns, drama, threats, danger, manipulations, attractions, misunderstandings, confusion, sad memories, complications, disagreements, blackmail, vulnerability, sadness, well-meaning advice, compromises, unexpected surprises, contentment, love, some steamy scenes & a well-deserved satisfying, epilogue. I enjoyed reading this book & would recommend it.

Aeron works as a communications analyst for the Federation and picks up a message that the Tyoe, a hostile alien race, are going to attack the Draig and take the planets rich minerals and ore, which is used to fuel ships. She asks her sister to help to get to this planet. Her sister, Ri is a gambler and itinerant traveller. They are the only known survivors of a planet which was destroyed by a war ship weapons test, which by a twist of fate also killed those of the war ship.

Aeron reports the transmission to her boss and tell her that the Draig planet is not in the federation and therefore no concern of theirs. She cannot except that with what happened her own planet. Ri forges them paperwork and gets them out of the area on the Galaxy Brides ship.

High Duke Bron sees Aeron, his crystal glows and he takes her back to the tent. All she wants to do is talk to the king, but Aeron knows if she removes Bron's mask she is considered married to him, she ask him if he can remove the mask without her being married to him but he tricks her when he says yes. She is drunk and ready to have sex, which goes against the rules of the ceremony and has dire personal consequences for her.

No spoilers about the rest of the story. A great read and very detailed plot, I loved the interaction between Aeron and Ri (reminded me of my sister and I!!) Great camaraderies between the princes and their cousins. I love the overlapping stories as you see things from other perspectives. I thought it did end a bit suddenly but didn't take away from a generally very well crafted story.

It’s Bron’s seventh breeding ceremony, and he’s given up hope of finding his destined mate. Aeron doesn’t intend to get caught up in the Qurilixan bridal ceremony – she has a warning to pass on to those in charge. Fate has other plans…

I adore this new direction that the Dragon Lords series is taking. This is a great series to start with, but after four heroines going through the same basic events at some point in their stories, having Aeron and Bron’s story take such different directions – with nods to the characters and situations introduced in the first books – was a delightful, refreshing change. Readers get to explore new areas of the planet, meet new characters – or those previously only hinted at! – and are introduced to a whole new round of complications for the Qurilixan people. I really enjoy Pillow’s characters, so getting to know Aeron and Bron in this story was a pleasure, and the specific complications of their relationship are compelling. The story was very sexy, as well. There are questions that remain unanswered as the book draws to a close, and it did seem to wrap up quite quickly in some ways, but I really, really enjoyed the story. Fans of the Dragon Lords will know this is a must-read volume, but even those new to the series could understand the story, I think. It’s a great addition, and expansion, to the Dragon Lords books, and I cannot wait to see where Pillow takes readers next!

This was simply captivating, it had everything I’d expected by this author
Aeron is who is human female that had been dispatched on a specific task and that is to save the Quurilixian people from an expected attack. She is one of the females that have signed up as one of the Brides as a way of helping their communities and families as they take on their new lives in society.
She has not realised that dragons always mate for life what her love serves a second chase and I ich is fairly similar for all shifters and the way they act once that they have been able to find their Fated Mate, which is a supremely exciting factor as this does not happen all that often, a Fated Mate is extremely exciting and means an awful lot to all types of shifters.
Lord Bron has no interest what-so-ever in the new listing of females who are looking to the potential mates arriving at any moment. Lord Bron is interested in the meeting but is not interested in the interruptions you have to put up with when waiting for chance to escape.
She explains that she is not interested in marrying him however, she is determined that the mission she has undertaken should be allow them to have a delightful marriage and she is totally blown away by the talent and also her new husbands.

This story can be read as a standalone, full-length, shifter romance with a sexy alpha males and defiant females. Each Dragon Lords installment takes place simultaneously.  The stories follow each prince and lord as the find and win their destined mate.

This is Lord Bronislaw High Duke of Draig's seventh Breeding Festival and hopes this will be his year. Finally finding his bride,  Bron is so excited that on his wedding night he loses control. Now his marriage is cursed and doomed to fail by the Gods.

Aeron Grey, civilian analyst for the federation, took passage on a Galaxy Brides ship to reach Qurilixen and warn their leaders of a potential attack on their planet. Before she can pass on the warning she's married!

I liked the characters and their story. The hero and heroine got their hea, but the overall arc of the story hasn't concluded, there are still a lot of unanswered questions, a sick bride and more to look forward to reading about

Each story in the series can be read as a stand alone story, but so much better read in their order.

I recommend this book and the series to anyone who likes fantasy romance on an intergalactic planet and some steamy and fun reading.

Aeron works in the communications analysis for the Federation. She received some information about possible genocide attack on the planet Qurilixen. The Federation is not interested in her information. So she does want she needs to do to protect the planet. She has her sister book her transportation to Qurilixen. But, it is on the Galaxy Brides transport. She doesn’t want to be a bride. She is going there to relay important information.
Bron is a Draig Duke. He is the king’s nephew. He and several members of the royal family is participating in the Breeding Festival. He had not found his bride in the other nine festivals. He was being optimistic. He wasn’t playing attention to who had caused his crystal stone necklace to glow.
Aeron almost managed to escape being picked as a bride. She was getting ready to head to the transport ship when a almost naked masked man approached her. She was tricked into removing his mask and being married. She has to get the information about the possible attack to the king.
Now they both have secrets that affects their marriage. Also, Bron’s dismissive attitude about Aeron is hurtful to her. They have lots of obstacles to overcome.
Has a HEA.
This is part of the series of the Galaxy brides and Qurilixian royal male shifters.

Aeron is a communications specialist and has intercepted information about a pending attack on a primitive planet. Her Federation bosses don't care, as long as the supply of ore from the planet isn't interrupted. Aeron can't stand to let the planet be attacked without at least warning them. She skips out on her job, seeks out her gallivanting, gambling, but savvy sister; Riona, to help her find a ride to the planet of Qurilixen. Riona's solution? A ride on a Galaxy Brides ship, posing as women seeking alien husbands. After they land on Qurilixen, Aeron runs into more than she bargained for in Lord Bronislaw, (Bron for short) High Duke of Draig, who believes that they were fated to be together. This story is a fun one. Will Aeron and Bron be able to work through a series of misunderstandings and cultural differences and make a life together? Or will she leave as soon as she can leave the warning about the impending attack and find a ride back to her world and the job she enjoys? If you like steamy paranormal romance with twists and intrigue, I recommend it! I can't wait to read Riona's story.

I really enjoyed this story. I only wanted to read the beginning, but got into it and ended up reading the whole thing in one sitting. Great world building. Aeron was trying to warn the Qurilixian people about an impending attack from a dangerous technologically advanced enemy. Her sister signs her up as a bride to get her there. Aeron doesn't expect to be matched with anyone. Lord Bron has been to six marriage ceremonies, only never to find his bride. He was not looking forward to this one, and didn't expect to get any different results. He even missed identifying his bride when his crystal glowed and he hadn't noticed it. Bron and Aeron's relationship was very far from smooth due to vast cultural and traditional differences. They had very different ways of thinking. I enjoyed watching them trying and navigate those hurdles as she tried to get her warning across without accepting being a bride, and he tried to honor her, himself, and his family by making the marriage work. A fun read, though the plot of the attack, and a storyline with her sister are unresolved for future book(s). 4 stars.

Bron has waited 7 long years for his crystal to glow and indicate he has found his fated mate. He was sent expecting this Breeding Festival to end any differently than the previous years’ and he just wants to get this evening to be done. He is caught off guard when his crystal glows, now he just has to figure out which bride is his fated mate!

Aeron is trying to save the inhabitants of a primitive planet not to become the bride of one of the sexy warriors. She is shocked to learn the travel arrangement her sister coordinates come with a husband.

Bron and Aeron have very different expectations and intentions, but somehow they need to find a way to make this unexpected marriage work. As with the other relationships in this series, misunderstandings and miscommunication create difficulties between the Draig and his fated mate.

In some ways reading the books in this series is like watching the movie Ground Hog Day, but with each viewing it’s from the perspective of a different character(s). It’s a little confusing to know the storyline in each of these books is happening simultaneously.

This book was okay. I did like Aeron's character. She's a worrier and that landed her with a bridal contract to a far away planet...courtesy of her sister. She must deliver a message of warning to the people because she refuses to see their world destroyed if she can help it. Unfortunately, she is chosen to be married by Bron, a nobleman whose had several rounds at the bridal search with no luck...until now. As luck would have it, his chosen bride doesn't want to be there...just wants to deliver a message to the king. Well, things take a serious turn for the worst and Bron has no idea what to do!

Though this story coincides with the Dragon Lords, there was a fair amount of world and plot building. We get that there is a hea, but so much was introduced that wasn't resolved. Not a bad read but not a story one can read and walk away with closure. I felt the ending was abrupt too. An okay read if you are already into the series. 3 stars

This is Bron & Aeron's story and it is a doozy!
I do have to say that I truly respect Aeron for desperately trying to get to Quirilixen to do what she has to. I also respect her honesty throughout the book as well even though sometimes it was like pulling teeth. My fingers are crossed that she is wrong about one aspect of her life that I refuse to give a spoiler of.
Bron is so endearing he tugs at the heart strings. I was very shocked at what he was doing during the breeding ceremony procession & when he flat out broke a main tradition, my heart almost stopped. I was so worried about what that would mean for him. Oh and he's a sneaky one.
This book has it all. Apprehension, fear, loyalty, more fear, sweetness, hotness & love.
It also has something Michelle M Pillow hasn't done in this series yet. She left this book with not 1 but 2, TWO, cliffhangers!! Genius!
A most definite MUST read even if you start the series here or from the beginning.

Aeron is a civilian analyst for the Federation. She overhears a transmission regarding the Qurilixen planet that she feels must be delivered even though her bosses tell her to forget it. She enlists the help of her estranged sister who gets passage to Qurilixen by signing up to be a bride.
She is chosen by Bron, nephew to the king and queen. She tries to deliver the message, but as with all the Qurilixen men, Bron is more interested in completing the ceremony.

I really liked this story. It seemed a little different from the other ones in this series. Aeron is a bit timid in regards to being on a new planet with people who have different beliefs. Bron is the normal Qurilixen man that feels slighted when his woman is worried or questions what he feels is normal protective qualities.

I can’t wait to read about Aeron’s sister and Kendall.

What can I say about this series. I have recently found it but the world and it's people are captivating. I love the traditions of the Draig for finding their partners although to be honest it would help the brides if they knew what was going on. Bron is close to giving up of ever finding the one who makes his crystal glow and when he does she seems only to want to get away from him. Aeron is trying to save a planet of people she never met. She feels that if she can do this it can somehow take away the pain of watching her own planet destroyed. She gets to the planet, not necessarily by the best means and ends up a bride. She just has to convince her husband, wait what? And the king of all she knows to try and give them a fighting chance.

I really enjoyed the Draig Princes' stories and I was really looking forward to reading their cousins' books, but after reading Bron's story it felt like something was missing.

I enjoyed the way the book started with Aeron desparate to help the Qurilixen people and accidentally marrying the High Duke, but is kind of fizzled. Even though Bron's situation (having been through several ceremonies with no match) is heartbreaking, Bron comes across as very desperate and is bent on tricking Aeron into becoming his bride and staying his bride. Aeron comes across as single minded in her attempt to warn the Qurilixen people but willing to enjoy Bron physically while giving her warning.

Overall it's a good story but doesn't compare to the first 4 in the series. I am looking froward to continuing the series and I really want to read Riona's story to see if Nadja's antidote worked for her.

Another great story in this series is about Aeron and Lord Bron and their romantic adventures was a enjoyable read I volunteer to read and review via Booksprout. Lord Bronislaw High Duke of Draig is disheartening going to another breeding festival. Aeron Grey, civilian analyst for the federation has secured passage on Galaxy Brides to warn Quilixen of an eminent attack from a technologically advanced race. At the Bron's crystal chooses Aeron and takes her to his tent but because of heighten attractions they consummate which is against the tradition. Bron feeling he dishonored the values he grew up with is now afraid his marriage will be dissolved. Aeron (h) intercepts a message about a threat to the Qurilixen and takes it upon herself to warn them about the impending threat. Rather than trying a direct communication which might be intercepted, she opts to follow her sister Riona's plan and sign up with the Galaxy Brides program. Bron (H), a Qurilixen dragon shifter lord, has been unsuccessful in finding a bride until he senses Aeron and his crystal glows for her. She has no interest in being his wife and only wants to deliver the warning about the Tyoe. Aeron and Bron will have to work together through threats and challenges to reach their HEA, though it actually felt more life an HFN. I didn’t feel as invested in this entry in the Qurilixen series as it felt more like a filler book to introduce the new threat facing Qurilixen, nor did I feel as invested in Aeron and Bron's romantic story.

Aeron is a strong, sassy smart woman that puts all she knows in life on the line to save a planet from destruction. Bron is the High Duke that has waited for his fated wife to come into his life. When they meet, there's plenty of sexual attraction, but Aeronhad to fight the alpha male for his respect. She reveals her self commanded mission to Bron and they set out to protect their planet from alien hustles.
I love the drama between these two characters. I was happy reading that there was no denial in their attraction to each other as in other stories I've read, but it was more fight for respect from an alpha male. Also, I liked reading that the alpha male was learning to be more respectful of his wife and listened to her concerns.

Hooked from the first!
I loved this book. Bron and Aeron just “clicked” for me immediately. Aeron experienced her world literally explode in front of her and comes to warn the Qurilixian of the possibility that they could suffer a similar fate. She is a perfect combination of strength and sexuality and I like that she is not afraid to go after what she desires. Bron is strong but sensitive. He has his clueless man moments at times when you want to shake him but redeems himself nicely. This book stands alone but there are still unanswered questions about the Tyoe , not to mention Riona to eagerly await in the next book. Great addition to the series.

Aeron, a human female on a mission to save the Qurilixian people from an impending attack, she signs up as a bride as a way of helping them. What she doesn’t realise is that the dragons mate for life, and when they’ve found The One that’s it. Lord Bron isn’t looking forward to the new batch of potential brides, however he’s shocked and exhilarated when he sees Aeron. Unfortunately she tells him she’s not here to marry him but she’s on a mission. If she leaves or goddess forbid dies then he will be alone for the rest of his life. He’s not willing to chance it and plans on winning and keeping his mate.

This book has lots of action, steamy scenes and a happily ever after ending.

I have heard of this series but never read it till now and I’m glad that I did because I would have been waiting anxiously for each new book to come out. I really enjoyed this book and found it has a good balance between the overall story and the romance between Aeron and Bron. This is a well paced exciting story about two people who are thrown together by fate or the Gods depending on what you believe and have to learn to look at life through the other’s eyes. I couldn’t help getting involved in this story and ended up staying up way too late trying to finish it. I always take that as a sign of a great tale. I can’t wait to read the rest of the books.
