This is it...fight or die! Cap and the Howling Commandos fight a desperate battle that will turn the tide of war in favor of Nazi forces if they lose! The Red Skull has 'grafted' himself onto the xenomorph queen...he now controls the hive! Cap at his finest; no fear, no hesitation, no doubts - just a soldier who will not give up!

What a letdown. Artwork was meh. The story was fairly predictable, overall the addition of the Invaders was a pleasant, unexpected surprise, so that was nice. Their overall failure to counter the xenomorphs was a huge disappointment. The final page felt like a said twist on Marvel history.

Unless I missed something about their jetpacks, why would the Kree soldiers not remain in the air? Why would they land on the ground? They hold the high ground, which means they have the advantage. Their ships can bombard the xenomorphs with impunity. Again, why land on the ground to face the xenomorphs and thereby give up their advantage? It was sheer idiocy.

It was crazy seeing the Invaders get taken down as easily as they apparently were. We did not see Namor or the Human Torch doing anything after those two initial images of their appearance - just Union Jack getting killed. One would think the Torch should have been able to kill broad swaths of the xenomorphs with his flames, considering how hot he can get.

I had the impression the xenomorphs turned on the Germans (Hydra) earlier. Perhaps that was more the Red Skull's doing? I expected the Germans to stop shooting at the beach and start firing at the wave of xenomorphs.

Also, over 12,000 Allied fighter aircraft were involved in D-Day providing air support, air superiority, an attacking German targets. Why would they not have been performing strafing runs on the xenomorphs? They should have seen the oncoming wave of alien monsters, unless the xenomorphs were coming from underground bunkers behind the lines (which makes no sense, 'cuz then one would think the Allies would have planned to invade on a different set of beaches due to the Germans creating new defensive structures on or behind the planned invasion points, which should then have revealed there was a spy or breach in security).

If the Supreme Intelligence created a code to kill the xenomorphs, why was it not used before the Supreme Intelligence was "infected" by a xenomorph and then killed by the Kree forces?

Also, if the Kree are able to use their sensors to detect a xenomorph infestation, how is it that there was a surviving face hugger buried in the ice with Captain America? The "shock value" implying that Cap might be impregnated with an egg was wasted because of how it made zero sense in light of the prior three issues and how this one had gone in the preceding pages.

Why would the Kree not take the time to scour German positions and labs to make sure there were no more xenomorphs on the planet before they left? This ending is the height of stupidity. They came to Earth to make sure the infestation was exterminated. And yet we are to believe that they just up and left without making sure they had completed their task?!? Sheer idiocy.

I could see Fury giving up his life to protect Yon-Rogg like he did. He had come to respect "Rogg" in the short time they fought together and saw him as a brother in arms even if he was from another planet. Yon-Rogg's shock and response to Fury's sacrifice and their interactions afterwards was one of the better moments in the issue (even if it was separated by a couple of pages of Captain's America and Mar-Vel fighting the "Red King" hybrid monstrosity).

Bucky is looking pretty young in that monitor. I cannot decide if he is supposed to be "The Winter Soldier" or not, or if he was given a bit of Super Soldier Serum himself to take. We see Sam Wilson and Carol Danvers on this team of heroes; I assume the other woman is Black Widow? I almost felt like this was a version of the Ultimate Universe with Captain Fury being present.

Vision had an interesting appearance to him - what with the lack of color and all. And why was he a product of Arnim Zola's work? Why not the guy who made the Human Torch and have had him study Zola's work and make the Vision? He is able to shoot a laser from the diamond in his forehead, which is all the more interesting. Hopefully if they are using Zola's work, that does not mean there is some chunk of code that would be "Arnim Zola" inhabiting the Vision's "programing" (or whatever is used to give a "synth" is "character" or programming or intelligence or whatever). It is also funny that this "Vision" is not nearly as accurate as the Vision of the 616-uniververse (unless the comments about "hits and misses" refers to SHIELD intelligence and not the Vision and "his" accuracy?).

That is a cool image of Captain America buried in the ice and how his colors bleed through the ice like they do. That was well done!

The Weyland-Yutani-Stark on the side of the their transport was pretty cool to see, and completely believable, hahahah!

This final issue had a lot riding on it, and I felt like it fell flat, that it failed to deliver. It was so underwhelming because of how it wrapped up as quickly as it did. I read it and was, "That's it?!? After a month of waiting, that was how it ended?" The development of the story sucked. Good characters were wasted. And it felt like the writer went for "shock value" over telling a good story and that last image on the last page with "The End?" as the last thing we read was weak, pathetic, and should not have been included in the issue. Part of me "gets it", I guess, because there is a similar homage at the end of the Batman Captain America crossover story set in WWII - at the end of that issue, the "new" Batman (Dick Grayson, if memory serves me correctly) and the "new" Robin (I can't remember who it is) are hunting for "the Joker II" and come across Captain America's body frozen in a block of ice). It would have been a cool shot if it had some kind of consistency or internal logic to it, if it had made sense, but it did not. And I have belabored this point long enough. I had such high hopes for this one after the first and third issues. Ah, well! They can't all be hit out of the ballpark! Who knows? Maybe if I reread this series at a later point in time I will enjoy it more? Despite this final issue stinking up the series for me, I am still glad I took a chance and read it.

I loved the serie in itself it was interesting enough, but the last issue is so underwhelming, and the end made me mad, like it's frustrating

I love the grittiness of the works of Frank Tieri and he delivers in Aliens vs. Captain America. This series is good and I liked how the story was all wrapped up.
