Pull up a nice, warm, cozy chair and enjoy some Hot Apple Cider along with me.

Move in closer. That's it. We'll all share our stories together, like a group of close friends. Stories of heartbreak and redemption—trouble and overcoming—questioning our faith and embracing it—and, most of all, finding hope at the end of every path.

There's just nothing like a circle of warm friends to share life with. All 15 of us will take turns opening up our hearts to you—sharing little pieces of ourselves. Come and join us.

We'll even include discussion questions so you can reflect on our stories or explore the themes with a group.

Our first two Hot Apple Cider anthologies won a number of awards and have nearly 90,000 print copies in circulation. They’re also now available as ebooks.

Lovely Storiee

This is a wonderful collection of short stories that are very diverse and yet they all are connected to the goodness of her heart. It is a Christian-based spoken for that it should not be penalized or look down upon because it isn’t really one that Is pushy.

There probably is a story that touches everyone’s heart

This is a mini-anthology of true-life stories, poetry and fiction from 15 Canadian Christian writers. With such a low price point, it's an ideal way to sample the Hot Apple Cider series. Selections range from the light-hearted and the everyday to more poignant moments of illness and loss. There's nothing sugar-coated here, and no sermons. Just open, honest snippets of life (real and fictional) that acknowledge both pain and ordinariness, and that offer hope.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it really is a taste of good things. I loved the variety of stories and each one had a different appeal and a different message. I savored each story as I went along... reading them one at a time!

I look forward to the third installment of Hot Apple Cider...and "A Taste of Hot apple Cider" was just the thing to whet my appetite.

Book 26/100: A Taste of Hot Apple Cider: Words to Encourage and Inspire by N.J. Lindquist (Goodreads Author) (Editor & Contributor). After finishing Confess, this was definitely adorable to read and get into the spirit of being good and encouraging others to be their best authentic selves and never forget your value! Although maybe too God-oriented for my taste in certain stories, but to each their beliefs is what I believe in and thus keeping an open mind, it was a cute read of a bunch of nonfiction stories.

Not for me

Not my cup of tea. I felt like they were trying to make another chicken soup for the soul but this feel really short. I honestly could not wrap my mind around the layout.

Good

These short stories all have a "feel good" theme, which is refreshing after a difficult day. Glad I came across it.

Warm Stories

Delivers just what you needed. Stories of hope and struggle with a spiritual aspect that touches the heart. I liked it as a quick gulp of cider.

Desperate Missionary in Trouble with the Law. Now there’s a title to get you wondering.
Hot on the heels of Hot Apple Cider and A Second Cup of Apple Cider come a new anthology, A Taste of Hot Apple Cider. As with the other two books in the series, A Taste of Hot Apple Cider is a collection, in this case, sixteen short stories and poems from Christian authors.
The Desperate Missionary recounts a harrowing experience and God’s provision during it; Something to Crow About gives us a different prospective on those pesky birds; Love Has No Limits tells of enduring love at any age; and Picture This is a call to action.
Whether the story brings a tear, a laugh, or a new thought, all are reflections of God’s graciousness and love for his children.
I found this anthology to be well-written, thought-provoking and comforting. I laughed, teared up and reflected.
This Apple Cider volume comes with biographies and contact information for all the contributors, many of whom are accomplished speakers as well as authors and poets. An additional bonus, which for the previous anthologies needed to be purchased separately, is the Discussion question section at the back. This makes it perfect for use in reading clubs or church groups.
I received a copy of this book for the purpose of giving an honest review.

I enjoyed this book, I've shared some of the short stories I've read along the way to my fiance and friends.

Out of the 16 short stories some provoked a stronger emotional response than others.

It puts a lot of things in perspective and it makes me grateful for the support from family & friends - in sharing the good times, the bad times and just journeying through life in general.

The topics covered were many and varied , the discussion questions at the end reminded me of share group questions I had during youth group.

I would recommend this book to people who need reminders about the resilience of the human spirit, how God can work in mysterious ways, or those who want to reflect on their own spirituality / faith journey - by answering the questions for each short story at the end.

This is a collection of true stories by Canadian authors, in the tradition of the Chicken Soup series. The stories are honest, humorous, encouraging and faith-based. From a daughter wrestling with her widowed father's new romance in his 80s, and a reformed crow-hater, to a stay-at-home Mom who rescues a young woman from assault, all accounts are real, captivating and unpredictable. Highly recommended.
