Widow Bethany Sheer was born with a weak heart. Between her propensity for blacking out when emotions run high and her analytical side, she couldn't handle marrying for love. She married because it made sense. Now in need of a nanny for her twin three-year-old daughters, the only person who shows up for an interview is the one man who ever made her heart race.
Gavin Parmiggiano isn't proud of his past, but he knows he's not the same man he used to be. With two kids to take care of on his own, and a career in shambles, he has to find a way to make it work. A nanny job with room and board is an answer to prayer. It will give him the stability he needs to fight for custody of his son and time to jump-start a new career in website and book cover design. And maybe he'll find time to write that book he's always dreamed of.
But Gavin finds himself falling for his uptight new boss. He wants to see Bethany let her hair down and really feel for the first time. Threats from his ex-wife, her new husband, and Bethany's estranged sister, as well as reticence from Bethany herself, could doom their relationship before it even starts. Bethany doesn't like the emotions Gavin stirs up in her. They're just too messy and, with her history of blacking out, it's too dangerous.
When Bethany realizes her heart has overruled her head, she can only hope Gavin will catch her, and her heart, when she's done Falling for Mr. Write.
When she's not writing about her imaginary friends, Carol Moncado is hanging out with her husband, four kids, and a dog who weighs less than most hard cover books. She prefers watching NCIS to just about anything, except maybe watching Castle. She believes peanut butter M&Ms are the perfect food and Dr. Pepper should come in an IV. When not watching her kids - and the dog - race around her big backyard in Southwest Missouri, she's teaching American Government at a local community college. She's a founding member and President of MozArks ACFW, category coordinator for First Impressions, blogger at InspyRomance, and represented by Tamela Hancock Murray of The Steve Laube Agency.
Carol does a great job of getting your attention and keeping it until the end of the book. I have read several of Carol's books in the last month. This makes my second time reading most of them, they are very well written, and make for enjoyable reading. I would and do recommend all of Carol's books, sit back and enjoy. Keep up the good work, I look forward to reading more of your books.
This is a wonderful story filled full of emotions, joy, problems, prayers, friendship and love, lots and lots of love. Just as expected, Carol Moncado has written another book I found hard to put down. I want to be a best friend and neighbor to the people in her world.
I don’t know how I landed on this series but glad I did. I have to say I enjoyed how we saw the development of each character and family. Beautiful story that was centered on God and his grace. I love how we think we’re fixing something but truly He has it all under control.
This worked out so well when she didn’t intend to hire him as a nanny at all. As the story progresses you can see a blended family in progress. But (and I’d be willing to bet that Micah’s grandparents and Katie’s mother have a good relationship with God or good sense. I’m happy it all worked out but the rest you need to read it for yourself.
There were some grammatical slips, but the book overcame those by keeping me reading and reading. I'm finding Carol Moncado to be one of my favorite authors. On to the next book.
I love reading a book series but when the series carries into another series it’s even better! The characters from this series of Mr. Write show up in all the Serenity Lane series and the Monarchies of Belles Montagnes series and more.
I have just read this book for the second time and it was great. It has romance, some drama, faith, and a little suspense. It was definitely what I needed to help me to rest this week. I own many of Carol's books and I would recommend them all.
*I was given a copy of this book free in exchange for my honest review, which I have given.
Carol Moncado has a talent for writing. When I read her first book, I knew this was someone I wanted to watch. So glad I did!
Gavin Parmiggiano has 2 kids and no job and no place to live. He applies for a nanny position with Bethany Sheer, who has twin 3 year old daughters.
Bethany Sheer does everything by the book, very little emotions attached. But she recognizes Gavin from high school, although he doesn't recognize her.
Troubles show themselves and Gavin and Bethany pretend an engagement, then a marriage to protect their family. Will they allow God to join them together or will each remain stubborn and keep their distance?
"Falling for Mr. Write" was absolutely amazing. This was the third in the series and, in my opinion, the best. Maybe because, from the first book, I wanted more. I could not put this book down. These books are so realistic. They show how even people with strong faith have trouble trusting God and how they figure it out. They show how having faith and trying to live that faith leads to real happiness. There is romance, intrigue and fun. Read this whole series. You will love these books and this author. I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Another wonderful read in this series. Once again I was pulled into the story line immediately and couldn't put it down. Carol does a wonderful job of involving the reader in the lives of the characters and it was such a fun read following Bethany and Gavin as they find their happily ever after. I definitely recommend this book or any of Carol's books to the reader who enjoys really good Christian romance.
Falling For Mr. Write by Carol Moncado is a wonderful addition to the Mr. Write series. What happens when a former male classmate becomes the nanny for your 2 children? She blends romance and drama in the story of Gavin and Bethany . She keeps you going to the end and wanting more. A copy of this book was given in exchange for an honest review.
Gavin and Bethany....what a great story! Starts out not sure they will really be able to fall for each other, but through family drama on both sides including ex's and even dead ex's...this story winds itself around to show all kinds of emotions. At one point I was reading through tears! Wonderfully written and a pure pleasure to read! Highly recommend reading a three books!!
Can a widow and her twins handsome nanny put their trust in God and find true love? Great characters and a great style of writing. I love this author's work. I highly recommend if you enjoy good clean romance books. I was given a copy of this book for my honest review
Very sexy without being racy or vulgar. I loved characters and how coming to know God changed their hearts. How Gavin struggled to be a good man. Being a Christian doesn't mean you aren't tempted, just changes what you do or don't do about it.
Cute, cozy, and predictable, this was right on par with the rest of this series. I enjoy Moncado's later works better, but it is nice to see how quickly she has grown as a storyteller.
I loved this all three books in the series. This may have been my favorite. Sweet, clean romance, well paced with likable characters. The kids were even cute.
This is a love story about two people meant for each other but need to mature in different ways to make a perfect fit for each other and their two families.
