Do you love small-town romance with all the feels and faith threads woven gently throughout?
This is what appealed to me with book one, When I’m With You, so when I saw book two on Kindle Unlimited, I grabbed it. I wasn’t disappointed.
Author Rachel Hauck centers her narrative around second chances and chasing dreams. Chloe La Rue is 30 years old, widowed, and moving back home to Hearts Bend, Tennessee, to care for her mom. Chloe’s heart is broken; she lost her dad when she was 8, her husband, Jean-Marc, a little less than a year ago, and now her mom’s diagnosis has her worried. Chloe can’t get past the thought that all the men she loves die, so she doesn’t want to give her heart to anyone. Abandonment is too painful. When an opportunity arises to open a pastry shop in town, Chloe jumps at the chance. It may only be temporary in her mind, but meeting Sam may just change everything!

Anyone But You is a charming small-town romance about second chances, chasing dreams, and forgiveness. Chloe, widowed and grieving the passing of her husband, moves back home from France to take care of her mother, who has cancer. Sam, a football player, and Chloe end up working together at a bakery. However, will pursuing their dreams cause them to end up together or apart? Anyone But You has Chloe facing fears and losses and Sam navigating a rift with his dad. Wonderful faith-filled story.

Sweet book by the author. If you are a fan of Rachel Hauck you might already have this book under another name - One Fine Day.
