After what I saw that night, traveling that lonely stretch of road between Trenton and Poughkeepsie, it's fair to say I don't know much of anything anymore.

I really like the idea of clowns and phobias and stories with things or tropes that most people are just afraid of. I also really like the idea of the main character and being a pharmaceutical rep with the hallucinations and everything. I think it really plays into the unreliable narrator trope, which I really enjoy. I definitely will be reading more from this series.
Favorite Line 🌟 ‘Society’s fear of clowns, that practically universal phobia, crept into my lizard brain like a mime on an imaginary tightrope and slammed my right foot down hard on the accelerator.’
Thank you to the author and the publisher or publishers for all your hard work! I'm leaving this review voluntarily and happily! Take a look!
A really interesting quick read. In fact i was able to finish it while I was cooking. This is definitely somthing that could happen in real life.... to an extent. I think this is definitely a mix of real life horror and psychological horror. I mean if your afraid of clowns then definitely don't look any further. The title and the cover should be enough to deter you away. In This novella there be clowns. Definitely makes me not want to travel alone.
I actually am speechless LOL like this book was so short but just maybe almost impacted me harder than any long book i’ve read? and why? Because god I didn’t know what to expect going into this at all…it was 1. funny 2. surprising 3. loud and clear message that we’re all clowns 😂
anyways, first book by this author probably won’t be the last that was a nice little ride.
I didn't have particularly high hopes when I downloaded this short story for free, as killer clowns are, in my opinion, one of the overdone genres of horror. However, this story turned out to be a surprise as it doesn't simply rely on gore, instead going in an arguably philosophical direction. It's well-worth a read.
Ridiculous but I did smile to myself once throughout. Predictable. I think if it was longer than the 30 pages and a little more to the story it could of been really good but I did appreciate the point of the story.
