Tim Seeley is a comic book artist and writer known for his work on books such as G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, The Dark Elf Trilogy, Batman Eternal and Grayson. He is also the co-creator of the Image Comics titles Hack/Slash[1] and Revival, as well as the Dark Horse titles, ExSanguine and Sundowners. He lives in Chicago.

Boring, if I’m honest. Jet Jaguar is cool.

Sub 3 stars. This kind of sucked. Time skips ahead and we don’t see important relationships built, they just sort of happen. Precious character relationships aren’t established but suddenly get brought up late in the book (Stef and Nuki). Things sort of just Happen without any real cause, characters don’t seem to have or take the time to think anything through. Jacen is boring and all-powerful, with his only truly good character trait being that he struggles to see people leave.

Whatever was going on with Lament was interesting for maybe 5 pages before it felt old.

I keep trying to enjoy Godzilla comics. I keep getting disappointed. 😔

As much as I love Godzilla movies, the many comics adaptations mostly top out around the level of "fine," and at its best that's where this lands, too. Tim Seeley's story has its fun moments, but it feels oddly rushed, like some key scenes are missing where character relationships are formed or defined. Even a few plot points seem to have happened off-panel. The art by Nikola Cizmesija is great, though. He can draw the hell out of a giant monster.

Too many human conflicts not enough monsters. Godzilla spends more time fighting super powered humans then monsters. That's a no for me.
