The book starts where the book one ends. The book is brilliant and this unveils the mystery, hidden plans and we get more insight about chakras.

This felt like solving a slow burn mystery with elements of science fiction, archeological details and fantasy. Where the world is at stake and everyone must be saved from hidden plan and deadly virus that is invading the lives. Now imagine there are people with secret powers who are hidden from the rest of the world but ventures on a heroic odyssey or quest to unveil the mystery and decipher the seven mysterious messages that holds the key to eradicate the danger from its roots and to untangle people from deception and lies woven due to rise of ancient evil. The journey is evocative and it’s filled with mystery, adventure, quest, conspiracy, and connecting spiritually with all the elements to awaken the inner power to eradicate the darkness and defeat Illuminati to get rid of ancient evil.

REVELATION - a review by Rosemary Kenny.

The second novel in The Saga of Venom and Flame series by Victor Acquista, is REVELATION.

Ancient cult the Illuminati led by Kenseiko Li,
are up to no good - polluting whole communities with a deadly virus that only they have the cure for - at a cost - to further their genetic engineering project and create super-soldiers for hire.
Doing their best to thwart them are Bryson, his uncle Peter, BB, Claus and Serena, an untested telepath - an international force of agents who must solve 7 clues to prevent a global Armageddon. Can they make the connections?

Revelation by Victor Acquista is very well-written. There is quite a bit to unpack in this book, between the Brotherhood and our heroine, Serena. There are a lot of similarities between what we currently see in the news today, with media disinformation campaigns, political intrigue, and stand-alone pilgrims searching for the truth behind the lies; however, I have to agree with another reviewer in that this book would have made a lot more sense if the first book in the series was read first. Making complete sense of everything that's going on? Impossible without context from the first book. This isn't a stand-alone work. I will say that the author spins an interesting narrative and the conversations between fictional characters sound real - but admittedly much of the time I was lost to the idea of the bigger picture.

An honest review given in exchange for a hard copy of the book. Thanks.

For the right reader, this book will be amazing. Unfortunately, I was not that reader.

I have not read the previous book in this series. I would not recommend reading Revelation as a stand alone. I was at least 35% into the book before I felt like I understood what was happening. The author does not revisit much of the information from the first book, which I do not mind if I have read them sequentially. The multiple points of views also made it challenging for a reader new to the story line (again, I think it would not have been an issue if I had read the first story).

The technical military vocabulary was unnecessary and excessive for me. Instead of drawing me into the story, I found it more often was a speed bump. The story is gritty, it focuses on war, the occult, suggested sexual exploits, and physical harm. Main characters are not spared from the unpleasantness. It reminds me of Game of Thrones, but would be appropriate for teens.

Thanks Victor Acquista, BHC Press and Netgalley for this free ARC in exchange for a review.

We aren't told that this is the second book in a series. Unfortunately, as the book makes little sense without having read the first one, I gave up understanding what was going on about 20% in. Next time, please make it clear that you are not releasing a standalone book or the first in a series, or at least make each book understandable on its own, before asking people to review it.

Serena is training with ancient sects that have Atlantis origins. She must travel to ancient holy sites to pick up knowledge and experience. She is fighting an ancient evil trying to keep mankind down. It's a thrilling novel well worth the read.

Serena Mendez needs to figure out seven messages that hold the key to survival. Revelation, second in the series of The Saga of Venom and Flame, digs deep into mystery and mythology and what is plaguing mankind. A fascinating read.

For fans of paranormal suspense fiction Revelation by Victor Acquista is a must-read book. It has everything from suspense to adventure to romance and danger. I absolutely loved reading it. Victor Acquista proves to have a knack for writing superb stories. This is one superb tale. I enjoyed how he combined mythology and suspense to create this novel. The mythology elements are evident as readers dig further into the book. Then, there is the amazing cast of characters. Each character only adds to the journey. Serena and her boyfriend make reading a pleasure. They are fierce, strong, and independent characters. The novel is character driven. I also loved the dialogue. Good and evil are a prevalent theme in this book. Serena and her man represent the good side. They are plenty who will go after her for what she is. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this electrifying thrill ride. I recommend it to all who love action, suspense, and danger.

I received this copy from the publisher. This is my voluntary review.

Review:
Story: I really liked this story a lot. I just don’t feel like it held up to the first book. I guess I can understand that though. The first book was so strong and so absorbing. This is just my personal opinion though. I’m sure that other people will feel differently. I do want to state again that I really enjoyed the story. I also think that this book can fully be read independently of the first book.
Characters: I feel like this book focused more on the bad characters than the good. I didn’t think I would find that as fascinating as I did. I did though. It was interesting seeing the points of view in this one.
Critiques: None that I can think of.
Narration: Brilliant! I especially loved the way they narrated the scientist who was responsible for all of the creations. Absolutely brilliant!
Final Thoughts: I really did enjoy this book a lot. I didn’t love it as much as I did the first one, but independently, it was great. I would love to see both books turned into a movie or mini-series. I think they would be amazing. I’d definitely watch. I fully recommend this book and Serpent Rising. Both of them will take you for a ride!
