Marie-Anne Lecoeur wrote this book like she was talking to me as a friend. Her advice on how to achieve and maintain a tidy closet is simple, practical, and to-the-point. Also very motivating. She essentially provides a clear pathway for how to get from a disaster zone of a closet to one that is tidy and satisfying. She also includes a bonus chapter on classic wardrobe essentials to have in one's closet. She says that having these essentials will make getting dressed and looking chic much easier, helping one to save time and effort. I followed her advice, and she is so right! I also loved the little section in The Tidy Closet called "Use Your Best." She writes, "Instead of 'Sunday best,' why not 'Tuesday best' or 'Thursday best'? Let's aim for 'every day best.' Make every day special enough to wear your best clothes and use your most precious accessories. This will make you feel extra special and chic. Why not look and feel great every day?" Yes! Thanks to what I've learned from Marie-Anne, I've donated my excess or unsuitable clothes and wear nice garments whenever I go out, even if I'm just to go to the store to buy a bag of cat litter. Having an organized closet, following Marie-Anne's guidelines, is essential for dressing ourselves with awareness and care. The results are fantastic.
