Overall tl;dr - a good romantsy
There are two parts in this book, like a duology of sort. The writing was good and easy, there was a lot of world building, a cute romance & good amount of spice.
It did feel a little too slow paced.. but a soild 3.75 stars ⭐

The romance -
Was both insta-love and slow-burn, if it makes sense, LOL
The characters had a good chemistry, and the spice was detailed but not overwhelming.
Overall for spice & steam - 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Each one of the characters belongs to a different kind of shifters, wolfs & dragons, and the tribes are enemies, so also there's a little forbidden romance happening in this book.

Brielle (Elle) -
The FMC, she was super sweet and tender. Sassy curvy girl with a good self confidence. She's been outcasted from her home because she can't shift.
At the beginning she describes her emotions in such a heartbreaking way, and it's very easy to feel relatable to her.
Among the book she finds her place and her voice, and I loved it for her.

Aurelius -
The MMC, what a sweetheart. He is kind, protective and caring from the first page toward Elle and her situation.
A manly man who isn't afraid to show his interest & his affection.

The found family was very sweet, and it felt like Elle found her place, with the people who cares about her.
The story & the plot were good. At some parts it did feel a little too slow, and too dragging.

Final thoughts:
Easy book to read, enjoyable romantsy. Sweet characters and cute romance.
A little too slow paced for me, but I do recommend.

Tropes -
Urbana fantasy, Paranormal, Contemporary, Dragon shifters, Wolf shifters, Found family, Abduction, Insta-Love, Slow-Burn, Forbidden love, Curvy heroine, Sassy heroine, Sweet heroine, Sweet hero, Royal hero, Protective hero

Such a great book.
Brielle is heir to her family but she can't shift, so she is sent to the human world to live a human life. While they prove her a home and an allowance, they go pretty well no contact.
Aurelius is heir to the dragon's but no lady interests him and he is looked down upon because he is a view as a peacekeeper.
Aurelius 2 friends kidnap Brielle because they think she has been kidnapped from her family since she is living in a human town.
Aurelius gets a lord to apologize to her family for her real kidnapping. After they finally respond. She is in danger. Aurelius saves her but her brother / family declare war on his kingdom.
What happens is chaotic, scary then slowly satisfying.
At the end, if I was Brielle, I would of told my parents because of their desire for power and believing being not a shifter is weak, caused their downfall. If they valued love, they would not be in their position and deserve the worst but because she is not despicable as them, she is going to show them kindness but they lost their family because they deserve to.

A shifter romance with a heroin worth rooting for

Finally! Brielle is a FMC who proves you can be strong, clever, and vulnerable all at once. This delivers exactly what I’ve been craving in a shifter romance: a heroine who refuses to be sidelined. Brielle isn’t a damsel like we're usual given, she’s resourceful, quick-witted, and more than capable of holding her own in a world that would rather see her gone.

The banter is razor-sharp, the slow-burn romance is deliciously tense and well balanced so it's not boring and the stakes feel high from start to finish. The world-building is layered without being overwhelming which I really appreciated as well. Whole it's definitely longer than I'm used to (mostly cause it's 2 books in one), every scene keeps pulling you forward.

If you’re tired of cookie-cutter heroines and want a story with bite, heart, an FMC who knows what she wants, an MMC who stands by her side and a romance worth rooting for, this one’s it. Strong FMCs for the win!

Very enjoyable

The formatting is a bit odd but not horrible, its just different. It threw me off at first but it was easy enough to adjust to.

The first quarter of the book was a nice, easy pace. Then 25% hit and boy did it take me on a rollercoaster I didn't want to get off of until the end!!

I LOVE that Elle is so realistic and curvy too. All of the characters felt so real. Vince is a favorite by far and Im so glad he was a part of this story.

As someone who's own biological donors tossed her aside for petty reasons instead of showing unconditional love that parents should have, it was nice to read a book about someone else going through similar. Im also blessed to have parents in my life that, while we may not share DNA, do show me unconditional love regardless.

Absolutely would recommend this book.

Tremendous book! The FMC has a disability and is ostracised from her family and her shifter community because of it - they only want “perfect” shifters. She meets a dragon prince when she is kidnapped by a pair of well meaning young dragons, none of whom see her as “less than.” Thus begins her journey to self acceptance alongside a battle with the wolves to make them acknowledge her (and to stop trying to kill her when they do acknowledge her).

The thing I loved most about this book is that despite being a wolf shifter with no wolf, the FMC didn’t magically get “better” or become whole by getting an inner wolf. She just realises that she was actually whole all along and there’s no need to change, which is a MUCH better message.

Overall, this romantasy was good but a little too dragging for me to give it 4 stars. I put it down several times and started other books and then picked this back one up.

While it was almost an insta-love scenario for the characters, the storyline was somehow pulled into a quagmire of inconsequential events and descriptors. So though the plot was interest and even entertaining, the characters well thought out and complex, it made for a difficult read.

I would recommend the book but as I enjoy the story but expect it to be challenge to get through.

thrilling romantasy

A Facebook Amazon ad for this story grabbed me with the humor. I loved Brielle, when she realized her dragon shifter kidnappers thought they were rescuing her from something, and trying to help open diplomatic ties with her former wolf pack family who had kicked her out. Her connection with the dragon prince was beautifully developed.

The dragons are trying to avert a war , when the leader of the wolves (her psychotic brother) wants to start one. So many twists and turns to the story, so many interesting characters! Definitely a page turner!

4.5 ⭐️

This book was a really great, quick read. The side characters were probably the best, Rasp and Vince - LOVE them. I want to be their best friend.

There was a lot of written repetition and paragraphs that didn’t need to be there because they repeated everything the write previously wrote, and this is just a minor thing. It doesn’t destroy the book.

I did thoroughly enjoy this and look forward to reading more from this author.

An epic read from this author, so ejoyed this tale of Brielle and Aurelius. As the blurb says, this was two books in one and for that I loved t. Never a fan of cliff hangers and always prefering to read in one hit or wait for the next books to be published.
Brielle's tale was full of adventure, emotion and everythng you'd expect with such characters.

I just loved Brielle and Aurelius. This i both parts so you get a HEA at the end.
The plot was great and followed smoothly. I found it funny, sad and a story of acceptance, They both had to realise who they were and what they wanted to get for themselves.
It was great seeing Vince get his happy ending as well.

Quite an epic tale of star crossed lovers of different shifter species. This book is on the long side but it is worth it. The plot moves along at a good pace and it doesn't lag. The characters were a good balance. It was a great story.

Disappointed

I loved the plot, loved the characters, what I DID NOT love was wading through pages and even chapters of graphically described sex!! Why do writers of shifter stories have to ruin it that way? I must have paged through half the book to get back to the story! Another author for my "no" list!

Love, war, friendship

I struggled between 3 and 4 stars, but settled on 4. This book has quite a few surprises. It also had romance. Loyalty, friendship, forgiveness and lots of laughs. It has lovable characters who had depth one of my favorites being the King. The Forsaken heir was an interesting read.

The Forsaken Heir

This was an enjoyable read. Likable characters and a villain worth hating. The drama isn’t too intense.
This is a rather long book, but not having to read a continuation after a cliffy is the trade off.

Highly recommend!

Enjoyable

This was a nice little story, Elle was the “poor little rich girl” and Aury was the honorable, titled hero. I skimmed through some of this, as some places seemed repetitious to me. Still, it was, in some places very good.

Magic water

Aurelius is heir to the dragons So
Elle is a non shifting wolf cast out by her parents. The world building is fantastic. Fight scenes well blocked. The kidnapping starts events. Must read

Good story line. Good characters. Benedictus is a pain in the butt and I want to smack him upside his head! Lots of action and interaction with different shifter species.

The story was good

But it really irked me that she never gained access to her wolf... seeing as how it was implied with their being a wolf on the cover.

It was an ok read. Rather slow in many parts. To be fair, I had the combined Part I and Part II, so it was a really long read. Honestly could have been combined into one book.
