Shield of Sparrows [Dramatized Adaptation] #1, Part 1

Shield of Sparrows (Part 1 of 2) [Dramatized Adaptation]

Rate this book
Shield of Sparrows is a slow-burn, high-stakes romantasy perfect for fans of Sarah J. Maas and Rebecca Yarros—where enemies become lovers, monsters stalk a cursed realm, and a forgotten princess finds the strength to tear off her crown and become the warrior she was never meant to be.

The gods sent monsters to the five kingdoms to remind mortals they must kneel.

I've spent my life kneeling—to their will and to my father's. As a princess, my only duty is to wear the crown and obey the king.

I was never meant to rule. Never meant to fight. And I was never supposed to be the daughter who sealed an ancient treaty with her own blood.

But that changed the fateful day I stepped into my father's throne room. The day a legendary monster hunter sailed to our shores. The day a prince ruined my life.

Now I'm crossing treacherous lands beside a warrior who despises me as much as I despise him—bound to a future I didn't choose and a husband I barely know.

Everyone wants me to be something I'm not—a queen, a spy, a sacrifice.

But what if I refused the role chosen for me? What if I made my own rules? What if there's power in being underestimated?

And what if—for the first time—I reached for it?

Adapted from the novel and produced with a full cast of actors, immersive sound effects and cinematic music!

What I've loved
1 The dramatized audio/narrators are really great! I’m resisting continuing on the regular one cause it was so good! (part 2 wasn't out yet, now it is!)

2 The plot twists and mystery elements kept me super engaged. I’m convinced the MMCs may have switched roles, but we don’t know for sure yet.

3 I’m loving this very, very slow burn; the mixed signals from Zavier and the Guardian had me begging for more.

4 The FMC is not the one built for this role; that would be her sister, who was groomed to be a queen, a spy, and a fighter. Our FMC will surely surprise us with her nature or origin, but she was definitely not raised with grace, finesse, or slyness—and that makes it so much more fun!

Conclusions
OMG, breaking these books into parts with delayed release dates should be a crime! 🫢 Luckily, I was late enough to the party that I only had to wait four days for Part 2's release. I’ve already snagged the SE with the sprayed edges on Vinted because I’m loving this so much!

The clumsy, silly, sassy, and totally unequipped FMC was probably my favorite part. This book wasn't even high on my TBR because I was afraid it would be another overhyped romantasy, but man, I was all in from the beginning. I’m so grateful to the author, Graphic Audio, and NetGalley for this ALC, even if I requested it after the release date.

This goes straight to my favorites list. Feed me more!

OMG, breaking these books into parts with delayed release dates should be a crime 🫢 luckily I was late to the party enough that if all goes well with Audible Italy, it's only gonna be 4 days until the next! I've already got myself the SE with the flowery edges on Vinted cause I'm loving this so much!

Review to come! Not sure if I should make one review or two? What's the way to go?

Pre-read 🎧
This book was not in my priority list, but my ALC request was approved (even if it has been published) so it seems like it's only polite for me to push it up my priorities. I've actually just started this in my break, right after finishing Terror at the gates, since I still had like 15 minutes of walk time available. Strong start, I'll admit I'm already intrigued.

Big 🎧 question, though...
I was like today-years-old when I learnt that graphic audios that are in "parts" are so cause they are released with a delay for production purposes, but what should I do when I finish this??? (if I like it)

1 Wait for Graphic Audio part 2 like if it were any sequel

2 Listen to the second part using the normal audio, and move to book 2 when it releases in april??

The GraphicAudio dramatized adaptation made this experience 100 times more enjoyable! It was great to hear some of my favorite voice actors, and the production quality was excellent, though the background music was a bit too loud at times.

The story is a very slow burn, and the heroine’s constant inner thoughts were a bit too much for me. They felt over-detailed and repetitive, especially with the constant, annoying mentions of 'his smirk' throughout. While the story itself isn't bad, I’m still waiting to see what the main point of the plot is.

I’m hoping the second half of the adaptation picks up the pace. I might not continue as I get bored easily, but I definitely recommend this dramatized format for a much better experience!
Thank you to NetGalley and GraphicAudio for providing me with this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

It was so good!! I was in a major book slump so I needed a reread of something I love. I did the regular audio the first time I listened, the dramatized is definitely the way to go.

Going from reading the Kindle version to listening to this dramatized version, and I didn't quite know what to expect because I loved just reading the ebook but this experience was soo soo good! The voice actors were top notch and having the background sounds and noises really sold the immersive experience!

This was entertaining but it felt a bit predictable! The graphic audio was fantastic per usual. I’ll probably listen to book 2 when it comes out but I’m not dying to do so.

Anybody who knows me knows that one of my favorite books of 2025 was Shield of Sparrows. I was lucky enough to get an ark of it then and I devoured it. I always wanted to feel like I could read it again for the first time and listening to the graphic audio version of it, well at least part one, felt like I was experiencing it again for the first time. Now this is the second book that I’ve listened all the way through with graphic audio. And I can say now that I’m fully hooked. The full cast made me feel like I was experiencing it for the first time. It added another layer of emotion to it for me and I sit made it a whole different experience. I absolutely cannot wait for part two. And I’m so happy that the wait is not going to be very long.
Thank you to Graphic Audio for the complementary copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

First and foremost, thank you NetGalley and RB Media for gifting me this dramatized audio. My friends have been on me about reading this and the full cast graphic audio was perfect for me!

The narrators do an amazing job making this audio enjoyable from beginning to end. The storyline itself is easy to follow and understand what is happening at all times. I can’t wait to listen to the second half of this book!

Oh My Goddess
Forgotten princess turned warrior. Monsters growing deadlier. A virus that twists danger into chaos. Add forced marriage, rivals-to-lovers tension, and a slow-burn romance simmering beneath it all… and I was spellbound from the first chapter.

What Lit My Mood
As someone fairly new to the romantasy genre, this had everything I needed to fall right in. The worldbuilding was easy to follow but still layered with rich history, mythical creatures, and plenty of danger. There were characters to love, question, and fear.

At times it reads like a thriller - yes, this cursed-for-thrills reader devoured every twist, especially with the high-stakes virus turning monsters darker. Add those romance tropes, tension, and a slow-burn attraction simmering beneath the chaos, and the angst crackles, the tension never lets up, and everything feels ready to snap.

The blend of fantasy adventure and romance worked really well for me. I loved the “forgotten princess turned warrior” arc

Listening versus Reading
I listened to the GraphicAudio edition, which truly feels like a movie in your ears. I also followed along with my physical copy, and honestly, that was my favorite way to experience the story.

The full-cast narration was fantastic, with voices for the male and female characters, even the four-year-old. Add the sound effects and production, and it creates an atmosphere and drama that make the whole story feel incredibly immersive.

Witchy Mood Rating: Oh My Goddess, Spellbound, chasing that one more chapter high
I’m already preordering the second book and pushing it straight to the top of my reading list.

I received an audiobook copy for part 1 of 2 Dramatize Adaptation from the publisher through NetGalley and borrowed part 2 through Libby and listened to my own physical copy.

I’ve already read Shield of Sparrows, but OBVIOUSLY I still had to listen to the dramatized edition… and wow, it somehow made me love this book even more.

This story is just so good. The author has an exceptional gift for world-building — the kind that feels rich and immersive without being overwhelming. Everything about this book works: the atmosphere, the characters, the pacing, and the emotional pull. I was completely sucked back in from the first chapter.

Listening to it again was the perfect refresher before the next book comes out in April, and now I’m even more feral for it than I was the first time. If you love fantasy with strong world-building and a story that actually sticks with you, this one is absolutely worth your time — whether you read it or listen to it.

April cannot come fast enough. 🐦🔥

Very slow moving story, more than half of this part of the book was on the ship traveling, and traveling by horse. The hate Odessa has for the guardian is a little dramatic. I dont think wanting to kill him for teasing her is warranted as much as we are supposed to hate him. Its trying to be an enemies to lovers as far as I'm predicting but he's literally sworn to protect her and is training her how to kill monsters herself, saved her life multiple times and provided comedic relief at the same time. I have high hopes that the second part is better, focusing more on the love story of either her and the guardian or Xavier! Does she ever get to Allessaria or does it even exist?

I really enjoyed this series I can’t wait for book two, I had read the regular book and it was amazing I liked the many plot twists with the guardian and Odessa in the way the story circles around them in an enemy to lovers way and a various mouth dropping moments throughout the book.
Now I love me some dramatized graphic audios, so if I enjoyed a book enough to re read it again in the full cast edition I most definitely will be reading it. So I’ve reread it lol but even though these will be released in two parts I already loved part 1 of 2 I’ll most definitely love part 2 of 2.

GA♾️
Spice 0 (in the first part)
Story ♾️

Shield of Sparrow by Devney Parry is one of the most addictive romantasy I’ve ever read! This is also the first part of the first book in the trilogy. The world is beautiful and intricate. We start our journey into a new world with magic and monsters. The story is easy to follow, the same as the magic system and the world.

The characters feel very real and relatable, some you will just want to befriend and hold on to them for the rest of your life. This is an enemies-to-lovers story, and I mean they really are enemies to lovers, you will actually watch them slowly gain the respect of each other and trust.

At the beginning I did not like the FMC, Odessa, as she is a very sheltered princess, she grows and finds her backbone and lifts the veil of insignificance from her eyes. The MMC, I will let you find out his name on your own, he is captivating from the beginning, broody yet very protective!

This is a slow burn, and I mean it is a sloooow burn, but the tension, the angst, the yearning, the love and the burn, sooo good!!!

The monsters of this book are unique and I believe there is more to them than meets the eye.

That ending one word only: RUDE!!!

Graphic Audio: this is also full-cast graphic audio. The special effects in this audiobook are out of this world! The cast is pure perfection, delivering an exceptional experience and performance for each character conveying the emotional depth, vulnerability, and inner turmoil, making this narrative compelling and unique.

This is one of my favourite Graphic audio of all time!
Thank you so much for this amazing opportunity Graphic Audio LLC, Devney and NetGalley, my opinion is my own.

y’all this stressed me the hell out. My rating might go up but i need to sit with it a bit. The beginning i was locked in then towards the middle i got a bit bored. although it reeled me in again at the end. Also the main character asked a lot of questions which kinda annoyed me at some parts. Her inner monologue was mostly questions to herself. It was still good and i’m looking forward to reading the second book!

I received an advanced listening copy of the Graphic audiobook Part 1 from RBmedia via NetGalley and this is my honest review.

Of note, I first read the book, then 6 months later listened to the regular audio, and now I’m listening to the graphic audio several months later.
- for the best overall experience, I recommend reading the book
- for the best audio, the graphic audio knocks it out of the park in comparison to the regular audio.

Wow, what a fantastic book. ❤️‍🔥 One of the best reads of 2025 and it has continued to remain in my top 5 for this genre! This book was so worth the hype. The first time I read it my jaw was on the floor due to all the shocking twist and turns. Therefore, consuming it a second time, I was nervous it would not have as big of a punch as it did the first time. Although the emotion of feeling shocked decreased, I could see the story a whole new lens and I LOVED IT. Now a third time consuming? It is just as good as the second time, if not better because I can see so much more since I know so much more.

Since I am reviewing for the graphic audio, I will start with my thoughts on the audio.
- I have listened to other graphic audios and did not enjoy them, but this one, I absolutely loved! 🥰
- the music and overall production were well timed and put together. The music they created at each part of the story matched what was happening and curated emotion in the listener. I felt the tension, joy, desperation, fear, and so much more because of the music added. The noises of water or deep breathing or horses walking were realistic and, again, well timed. I really loved the fighting scenes. They mixed foot work with breathes and sword fights, as well as conversation and interaction between characters. They all blended really well and I felt like I was watching the fight.
- The narrators put so much passion into their reading. Their voices had me hooked into the story.
- one piece that was frustrating was that, when the male characters would whisper to each other, I couldn’t understand what they were saying. I would have to turn the volume up, but then the female narrator would vocalize the MFC’s internal dialogue, which would be extremely loud since I had turned up the volume. I wish there had been a little bit more balance with the volume to the point where I could understand when the men were whispering and not blow my ears out with the MFC‘s internal dialogue in between the whispers.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Why was this a six star read for me?

The MFC:
- The MFC was amazing, one of the best I’ve read in a long time. She is young, but mature and has excellent character growth. She finds herself in this book, which I liked. She also stands up for herself, while being reasonable and not arrogant, in denial, or constantly angry (like so many women written in this genre, which is overdone and not my favorite). She challenges herself to take action, even if scared or anxious. She is selfless, kind, and giving. She has reasonable feelings of guilt and/or anger at times, but those feelings are not her constant emotion that plague her behavior/the book.
- the way the MFC referenced her anxiety while traveling at the beginning was relatable for those with anxiety. Specifically, she references her thoughts never stopping and she just couldn’t get off the train.
- Yes, the MFC asked a lot of questions, think Poppy from Blood and Ash. This doesn’t and didn’t bother me, so I enjoyed her and her thought process. I’ll take the questioning any day over many of the other FMCs in this genre (as noted above).
- Also, I LOVED that the MFC called out that her spy assassin sister had tantrums, so she learned to not do that. THANK YOU DEVNEY!!!!! Finally a more mature character that isn’t an assassin that constantly is angry and throwing emotional fits. That’s been done enough. Again, love the FMC from this book!
- the author’s writing made me feel the anger, rage, loneliness, anxiety, longing, and various other emotions that MFC experienced. They were written so well and with an abundance of detail where I really could experience these emotions while reading.
- of note, I typically hate when the MFC says things like “I don’t know why I’m like this” when being snappy and/or defiant towards the MMC when she normally isn’t that way towards anyone. The reason I normally hate this is because the author typically describes and shows the reader a very smart and intelligent woman doing what she must do in order to survive. Therefore, mouthing off to an MMC who is powerful, violent, and a potential enemy would get her killed. Her just mouthing off and not knowing why she did that just does not make sense since it would compromise her safety, especially after we were just told everything she does and sacrifices to stay alive. However, in this book when this type of scenario happened it made more sense. The MFC was a princess and was not in danger from the MMC. Therefore, her being a little bit more sassy and mouthy with him would not harm her, nor did she have a history of always being in survival mode. She was finally finding her voice where she felt safe to stand up for herself!
- another component the author did well was the MFC’s training. Most books, after a few lessons, the MFC can fight and kill strong men who have been soldiers for years, so unrealistic. This book- the training took time and the MFC slowly made progress. I appreciated the attention to detail regarding this.

The MMC:
- The MMC was secretive, kind, strong, and supportive. He was an amazing MMC and written very well.
- As mentioned, there was so much depth to him the was slowly revealed over the book.
- My third time consuming this book I could fully understand how quickly the MMC was trying to protect and support the MFC (such as training her early)
- my heart broke so much for this man. His father was terrible, with information about his mother that was later discovered, his sister and her life, and all the other thing that happened to him.
- I saw a review stating they thought that it was not clearly justified for why the MMC kept his identity secret as long as he did. I completely disagree. I thought the author did a great job providing a rational for why he was secretive, and for the length in which he kept that information. Now that this is my third time consuming this book, I can see and feel his struggle at wanting to tell the MFC who he was.

The relationship ❤️
- The slow burn was so well done. I was swooning the whole time. They got to know each other, with banter, flirting, and a sprinkle of jealousy.
- The MMC and FMC challenge each other to be better. The MMC’s banter with the FMC was great.
- I loved the consistent phrase about hate/love and “don’t forget it” between the FMC and MMC.
- since this was my third time consuming this book, I could feel the love developing between these two sooner than I had the first or second time consuming.

The side characters:
- the MMC’s father: he was clearly the villain; yet, he had his own trauma history with his wife that likely pushed him into his villain ways. That is no excuse for his behavior, just a better understanding of him. Again, something the author did an excellent job of was describing and giving depth to each character, including this man.
- the MMC’s mother. This woman had her extensive trauma history, which we were given great detail about and shown the impact of that trauma on her life. We could see how she started to make mistakes that put her into a big spiral of major mistakes. I felt so many emotions, including empathy, love, happiness, fear, anger, rage, disappointment, and so much more.
- the fake MMC: I know I keep repeating this, but this character also had so much depth. The author did such an excellent job describing who he was, how he became the man he was, and how he was feeling inside, including emptiness. I also had great empathy for this man. I was very fond of this character. He brought so much more to the plot, making it juicier and richer. That ending with this man had me and still has me on edge, I just need to know what happened!
- the MMC’s sister: although she was young, her character added more to the story. It helped facilitate relationship development and trust between most of the MCs.

The story and writing:
- there was so much depth to the story, world, characters, and romance. I felt like I knew the people and world.
- I enjoyed this author’s writing. I found it to have the right amount of detail without over or under doing it. The descriptors of the world, people, monsters, etc were fantastic. There was enough information about the main characters past that wasn’t overwhelming, yet explained things.
- The plot twists were constant and I LOVED them, kept me on my toes. Seriously, there were so many and kept the book interesting. Most I didn’t see coming.
- The plot moves forward, the whole time 👏🏻 and in very exciting and mysterious ways. I especially couldn’t put down the last 30% of the book.
- All the mysteries in the book made me want to just read more and more.
- the monsters were super unique, scary, and diverse. Each one had unique details about them that were gritty and created more texture to the book.
- What was that ending? I have so many questions!! Seriously, SO MANY QUESTIONS! I thought the author leaving the ending with so many questions unanswered mimicked the MFC and all the questions she had throughout the book. Well played!
- Lastly, I really liked that this book did not end with the MMC having a secret revealed, knowing book 2 would pick up with the FMC angry and whiny for half of it. I find that many books in this genre follow that plot line and it is sooooo over done and it stalls the plot. It was refreshing to see the trust violation and damage repairing done before the end (and without it dragging on and on), with a unique cliffhanger!

4⭐️

Overall: 4⭐️, Performance: 5⭐️, Story: 4⭐️

This was one of my top reads (hardcover) earlier this year, so I was keen to listen to the dramatised audiobook when available.

It didn’t disappoint.

However, due to the split parts—standard for dramatised audiobooks—, it’s broken up the rating that I gave its physical counterpart (5 stars).

Reads like these, in my personal opinion, need to be a full-length audiobook like it’s non-dramatised adaptation. It works best for the nature and length of the story. Breaking it up stalls the pace and breaks up further the already incomplete, cliffhanger ending that’s yet to come at the end of the novel.

That said, I was pleased with what has been put into this adaptation.

Although I did imagine the voice of The Guardian to be a lot deeper, growlier, it was a pleasant surprise to hear a narrator take on the role whom I’d listened to countless times before in another audiobook. For those wondering who it is and what novel’s audiobook adaptation I’m referring to, it’s Jon Vertullo. Namely, Cassian from A Court of Silver Flames—my favourite book & bat boy from the series. He lends his voice perfectly to this new role, changing it ever so slightly from the previously familiar tones of Cassian, giving an authentically unique performance to that of The Guardian. I can tell the two characters apart, despite being voiced by the same person, being warmly welcomed back to enjoying such a beloved narrator.

I’m hoping that when the time comes that we are getting part two of this dramatised adaptation, my rating for the two parts overall will match the one I gave its physical copy. Because it deserves it.

(Or, part two might just earn itself all five stars under its own steam & in its own right.)

Until then, I’ll definitely be re-visiting this part on repeat.

Don’t forget to pre-order book two, Rites of the Starling. We’ve got another beautiful edition coming our way.

🎧 ALC REVIEW 🎧

Thank you @graphicaudio_official for an early listening copy of the GraphicAudio version of Shield of Sparrows by @devneyperry. I received an advance listening copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. 🤍

Narrator/s: Full cast
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5
Release date: Part 1: December 11th, 2025; Part 2: February 19th, 2026

🛑Read on with caution; review may contain spoilers🛑

I absolutely devoured the GraphicAudio version of Shield of Sparrows by Devney Perry and this was easily one of my best listens of the year.

Yes, it starts off a little slow, but that’s only because Perry takes her time crafting such an intricate and immersive world where monsters exist alongside humans. The world-building was exquisite, detailed without ever feeling overwhelming (which is rare for a romantasy of this scope), and it completely pulled me in.

The enemies-to-lovers romance between Odessa and Ransom (the Guardian) was everything I wanted and more. Odessa is such a resilient, strong heroine, and watching her grow, especially through Ransom’s training, was incredibly satisfying. And Ransom? The way he seemed to understand her even before they truly knew each other just made their dynamic hit so much harder. Their banter was ridiculously funny and added the perfect balance to the tension.

What truly elevated this experience, though, was the GraphicAudio production. The full cast, sound effects, and music made the story feel alive. I wasn’t just listening, I was inside the world.

I’ll admit, I put this off for a while because BookTok can sometimes overhype things, but this one absolutely lived up to it. I’m so glad I finally picked it up, and even more grateful to @graphicaudio_official for the gifted copy.

If you love immersive romantasy with rich world-building, slow-burn tension, and unforgettable characters, this is a must-listen.

Odessa was never meant to be a queen, although she is the eldest daughter of the King, her younger half-sister has always been the favourite, designated early on as the princess to fulfill an oath made centuries ago. When Odessa is called to her father’s throne room, she (and everyone else) is shocked when Xavier, the prince of another kingdom, chooses her as his bride, rather than her sister, who her father already chose as the prince’s betrothed.

Leaving her with less than a day to prepare for a life with her new husband, her father gives her an assignment to get information on her new kingdom, thus breaking the oaths they have all made. Now she finds herself on a journey across oceans and treacherous lands, once again following the will of men, demanding she be a queen, or a spy, or a sacrifice. Left to fend mostly for herself, she must find her own strength, and forge her own path.

I received a copy of this Graphic Audio from NetGalley and absolutely loved it, the cast was incredible and truly elevated this story to the next level! While this is only part one of the first book, I am waiting on bated breath for the second installment to come out later this month (and already counting down the days for book 2 to release). While not the traditional heroine, I love Odessa’s internal strength, and that having been disregarded most of her life, she realizes that she can only count on herself if she wants to be taken seriously, and refuses to be a damsel waiting for rescue. While we see glimpses of a growing friendship between her and Xavier, the connection growing between her and the Guardian seems to be simmering beneath the surface, and I look forward to see how things will all play out.

I loved this dramatized version of Shield of Sparrows it brought this story to life in ways that eyeball reading didn't. It felt brand new even though I had already experienced before. I was fully immersed in the story and fascinated by this world and its inhabitants all over again. I loved that there were no chapter announcements which allowed the narration to flow freely and add that movie quality to it. The narrators, sound effects and music all worked together to make this an amazing experience. The narrators knocked it out of the park performance wise and the sound effects brought life to and added and an extra oomph to their performances. I loved that the music changed to suit the scenes it wasn't just background noise but enhanced emotions and ramped up the action scenes. It really was a job well done to all those who played a part in its production. I salute them all on a job well done. It kept me entertained and highly engrossed in the action, adventure, tension, angst, twists and turns. I highly recommend it.

GraphicAudio full cast narration - phenomenal cast choices, the narrator for the Guardian is *chefs kiss* and I cannot wait for the second part to be released!

As with most books these days, FMC Odessa made a lot of choices I just didn't understand. You're basically ignored by your family but still plan to do exactly what is asked of you without ANY prior information, no training, and being kept in the dark of what the ultimate goal is. Make it make sense. Very curious to see what ends up happening with May in the end.

Absolutely loved the Guardian - he's an asshole but you can tell he has a lot on his shoulders and takes a lot of responsibility upon himself. I have a major suspicion about him that I ranted about in one of my Discord groups and I'm sad that part one ended before we get to the climax of the story.

Really enjoying the development between him and Odessa and love that he's seeing right through her BS, knowing exactly what her father expects of her. Also really enjoyed the new monsters/world we get and am curious to know the bigger story behind what's going on with the monsters.

Now to force myself to wait a week or so until part 2 is released!

Shield of Sparrows, Dramatized Adaptation Part 1 of 2
Story by Devney Perry
Produced by Graphic Audio LLC

Where do I even start?

I already read and loved this story when it first released, it was one of my favorite books of 2025. But this dramatized adaptation? On a completely different level.

This is hands down the best dramatized audiobook I have ever listened to.

The full cast brought so much depth and emotion to the characters, every voice felt intentional and perfectly cast. The immersive sound effects and cinematic music didn’t distract from the story, they enhanced it. Every scene felt intense, even the slightly comical ones made me giggle with the soundtrack combo. I loved it.

Experiencing this story in this format felt fresh. It truly pulled me back into the world in a way that felt cinematic and immersive.

And that ending? Part one stops at such an intriguing moment. I am absolutely counting down to part two because this version is just hitting differently.

I cannot wait to immerse myself back in this audio.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book scratched the itch I’ve been trying to get since ACOTAR & Fourth Wing. I LUHHHOOOVVED this book. I really enjoyed it. Odessa. She is mother. Iykyk, especially towards the end with Evie. I said MOTHER👏

The plot was great. The characters were great. All I gotta say is I CALLED THE CHARACTER PLOT TWIST FROM THE BEGINNING. I remember when I read the confirmation, turned to my husband said SCREAMED I KNEW IT!!

* HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE GRAPHIC AUDIO WHEN DUAL READING/LISTENING!!! So fucking good. HOWEVER UHHH ITS IN TWO PARTS AND THE SECOND PART DOESNT COME OUT TILL LIKE FEB 2026…… so do what you want with that info. But the graphic audio is freaking awesome. *
