My copy of this book is from 1990 and man does it feel like something out of the 1980s. I realize that that's 40 years ago now but in my mind it's still 'last decade'. Even with that mental occlusion though this book felt incredibly dated.

The information it contains is suspect now as well, I realize that psychology has changed in the last 30 years (reproducibility crisis and all), so I imagine that criticism applies to any textbook on the topic of the era.

I'd say skip and look for better references.

Textbook. Quite decent and comprehensive compared to similar ones, with graphs and other visuals being the highlight. The edition is pretty good too.
