The Lost Souls of Dyconia #5

Quest for her Knights

Rate this book
*STANDALONE story in shared world*

Thrown into an unknown realm and mistaken for the princess, Elora is shocked to find she’s being forced to marry men of noble blood. But it’s the knights sworn to protect her that she has her eye on, and they’re completely off-limits.

Elora

One minute I’m complaining about the lack of decent men, and the next I’m dragged through a portal to a realm with a serious shortage of women.

Mistaken for the princess, I’m told I must find a harem worthy of royalty. The kings and queen send me out into Dyconia to meet the lords who are begging to win my favor—but the only men I want are the very ones I’ve been forbidden to touch.

The knights who guard me are everything I’ve ever craved; fierce, loyal, and entirely off-limits. We’re getting too close. They know it. I know it.

And if we give in to temptation, it won’t just break their vows.
It could cost us our lives.

This is my favourite one yet. Elora is a fabulous character, I loved her energy and all the delicious forbidden attraction to her knights. I absolutely love the world of Dyconia and all the mischief and chaos it brings.
Her knights were perfection, fighting their feelings, protecting her from harm, and falling utterly under her spell. They were the perfect combo of Dom, cinnamon roll, flirty and sweet.

hey so like… anyone else want to find a portal to another world where it’s normal to have more than one partner? lol

this universe Shona Knight created is fun and one you want to be part of. there isn’t extensive world building but you really focus on the fmc and the other mmcs. Elora is hilarious and knows who she is and won’t let anyone change who she is, she just wants to find partners who will accept every part of her.

there’s a lot of mutual pining in this book since her relationships with the knights are forbidden. along with one knight who doesn’t want to like this new Elora.

you don’t need to read the books before this one to understand anything of why Elora ended up in this new world, but always recommended.

Another story down in the Lost Souls of Dyconia series! Easily another 5 ⭐️ read for me! Elora's story is truly an adventure you don't want to miss!

I love that the Elora from our realm was friends with Ari, even though I was sad for her to lose her bestie! And these 2 Elora's really couldn't be more different! Dyconia is exactly the place Elora needed to be to get her cinnamon roll, golden retriever, Dom, and broody bad boy all at once!

The men? 🔥 Absolutely adore them! Arrow, Blaze, Ranger and Draven each have something unique to bring to their relationship with Elora. Arrow is always there to make her smile, Blaze is constantly supporting her and giving her comfort, while Ranger gives her structure and rules to follow in a new land, and Draven, this mysterious man, he's there to bring out Elora's curiosity and wild side. These knights truly have it all!

This princess definitely found her noblemen in 4 knights who have more honor than any of her other suitors.

I cannot wait for Willow's story next! That epilogue had me on the edge of my seat!

This is an ARC review I am leaving voluntarily and all thoughts are my own. 💛

This is a fun, easy read. Perfect if you enjoy reverse harems and forbidden romance.

I enjoyed the concept of this story. It was fun and imaginative. Elora is sent through a portal into a new realm, where men outnumber women and women marry into a harem. However Elora is now thrust into the role of Princess and is being forced to find a harem worthy or royalty when all she wants is her knights.

I enjoyed Elora’s knights. They each have a different personality that you grow to love the more you get to know them. However, I really wasn’t a fan of Elora. She’s described as not having a filter but she wasn’t my cup of tea and I found her kind of annoying. I didn’t enjoy her personality but that was just personal preference.

It’s a fun, spicy adventure though and perfect for a quick funny escape into a fantasy world.

What a fun little fantasy romance this was! While part of a series of interconnected standalones this can absolutely be read by itself. Our FMC finds herself switching places with her doppelgänger from another realm only to find out that in her new world women are scarce. As a princess she’s to tour the kingdom in search of a group of brothers who will take her hand in marriage. Problem is she’s falling hard for the merry band of knights tasked with keeping her safe in her journey across the kingdom. The hearts what it wants and unfortunately it only wants her knights.

This was a super cute, slowish burn why choose with the best MMCs. I couldn’t pick a favorite. All in this is a great time for anyone looking for more lighthearted, low stakes Romantasy with a side of 2 simpering knights, 1 quiet and broody knight and 1 daddy dom who will deny himself until the bitter end in a misplaced since if duty.

“If the kings and queen weren’t forcing you to marry lords, you wouldn’t be given the chance to meet anyone else…I’d snatch you up in a heartbeat.”

❀✿❀---ARC Review---✿❀✿

I went into this book without having read the earlier entries in the series, and since they were interconnected standalones, I had no trouble diving into Dyconia. Honestly, I wouldn’t mind stumbling into Aribella’s bookshop myself and finding a portal there. The world-building was lighter than I expected, though maybe some of it appeared in the previous books, but that didn’t bother me. In fact, I liked how the story leaned more on the characters than on the fantasy setting, because it made getting to know Elora and the men around her far more rewarding.

“You can lean against me, Princess. I don’t bite.”
“That’s too bad.”

Elora was such an amusing FMC. She was incredibly selfless, willing to give up her entire life without hesitation to help her friend, and I loved her unfiltered personality. She never toned herself down, especially around the guys, and her refusal to change who she was made her endearing. At first, her energy came across as a little over the top and even made her seem younger than she was, but she leveled out nicely as the story went on.

“You’re mine now, kitten. And I’m not letting you go.”

Each of the MMCs brought something unique to the table, which kept their group dynamic engaging. Blaze was immediately sweet and gave me the strongest sense of the bond he shared with Elora, while Draven delivered that perfect broody, mysterious edge that’s always irresistible. I especially appreciated that Draven’s history wasn’t brushed aside; he didn’t simply forgive and forget because this was a new Elora, and his struggle to reconcile his feelings felt very realistic. Ranger, on the other hand, tested my patience; I wanted him to stop holding back and finally give in to his desires. Speaking of which, the slow build of longing throughout the book was fantastic; by the time the tension finally snapped, I was practically begging for the payoff.

“I want to be able to hold your hand whenever you’re near me. I want to sleep beside you and hold your body against mine. I want to kiss your lips and taste your skin. I want to spank your a*s when you’re naughty and call you my good girl.”

While I did expect a bit more spice going in, the amount we got fit the story well and felt naturally placed. Combined with the lighter tone, the romantic tension, and the quick pace, this book was exactly the fun break I needed after reading mostly dark, heavier books. Overall, it was entertaining, character-driven, and left me eager to check out the rest of the series.

This might be my favourite yet within this series? Maybe? I loved Elora and her knights so much!!!

So we have our fmc Elora. We met her in Freya's story briefly as Freya's mates little sister. Elora radiates happiness and positively. She is straight to the point and says it how it is. She isn't afraid of who she is or what she wants.

Our mmc's are all the sweetest in their own ways. We have Ranger, Arrow, Blaze, and Draven. Ranger is the leader of the pack, so to speak and takes his job of a knight very seriously. Arrow and Blaze are super sweet and are total golden retrievers through and through. Draven is the broody and quiet one with a few secrets of his own. As soon as these knights meet the "new" Elora, they can't help but fall for her instantly.

I loved the plot. Elora enters Dyconia with a little more knowledge than the other girls, but she kind of steps into a bit of a mess. She takes on her new role rather quickly and sets off to find potential mates, guarded closely by her 4 knights. She gives her knights a run for their money when, at several points, she runs into trouble (not her fault). Elora meets potential mates on her tour, but none of them are her knights, and some aren't the greatest. All 4 of her Knights are also struggling with not having Elora to themselves and at points stop her from going further with her suitors. It all kind of explodes when one of them gives in, and some have to rethink everything. Will Elora be allowed to keep her knights when she returns home to the King's and Queen? Elora and her knights get their happy ending, but they go through a bit of a roller coaster to get there.

I'm really excited to see who's next and what's in store for them, I know it's going to be insane 😉😉😉

Thank you so much, Shona, and your incredible team for the opportunity to read this story. I am so blessed to be a part of an amazing ARC Team 🙏

Checking Off Her Boxes…And Then Some 😉

OMG!!! I still can’t get over how good this series is y’all 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I was sucked into the story before it even started thanks to the end of Freya’s story in the last book, and while you could very easily devour this book without reading the previous one, in this case I really feel like it helps get a better feel for the characters & their background since they’re closely connected to those characters. I knew right away that our “new” Elora was gonna be a handful for the knights that caught her eye, and boy was I right 😂 We start off with Elora being told she has to go on a tour of eligible noblemen, and their brothers, who the queen & kings have approved of for her to marry. She would prefer to just get to know her knights, the ones sent to protect her on her journey, and they sure do seem to feel the same way, even though they work hard to fight it since it’s forbidden. Let me tell you though, that’s when the fun started lol. Cause oh man, the reactions these guys (especially Ranger) had, while having to watch Elora “date” these guys, had me giggling & laughing so much. I’m not sure if it was meant to be that funny, but it sure was humorous to me 😂When you add Elora’s naturally flirty nature into all that, I mean, how was I supposed to keep a straight face while reading most of this book 🫣🤷🏻‍♀️😝 That girl was definitely good at getting herself into trouble, that’s for sure 👀🤷🏻‍♀️😂 Not just the smarta$$ kind either. It seemed like it was just one thing after another in this book causing her problems, or in some cases, just the suitors themselves were the problem 🙄😝 I didn’t see that ending coming though, but I loved it 🗡️⚔️🛡️🫣😍 Cause once things really started heating up (sorry y’all, it’s a slower burn, but sooo worth it…I promise 😈🔥), it was just full steam ahead till our HEA ❤️ And that epilogue…ohhh the tease 👀😳 Ughhh, it means I gotta wait til next year for more Dyconia adventures, buttttt it also means YAYYYYY, I have more Dyconian romance to look forward too 😍❤️

Oh this was such a joyful little escape 💖 I have read books in this world before so I was expecting something sweet and warm to hit that reset button—and Shona Knight never fails me! Her stories always feel like a comforting cuddle in book form 🥹✨ This one had all the cosy, Disney-esque magic I expected, with a cast of knights who just ooze personality. I smiled so much reading this. It’s fun, it’s sparkly, and it gave me exactly what I was hoping for: a heartwarming, easy-breezy adventure with a bit of spice and sass! 🌈👑

What I Loved About This Book

💛 The Knights, Oh My!
We’ve got the full boyband lineup here and I’m obsessed. Cinnamon roll softness? ✔️ Golden retriever vibes? ✔️ A little broody tension? ✔️ Daddy Dom vibes?✔️ Honestly, each MMC brought something unique and I loved how their personalities bounced off each other.

👑 FMC Energy: Strong, Sassy, and a Bit Bratty
Our girl might be doubting herself at times, but don’t let that fool you—she’s got a spark! Mischief-maker energy, a little bratty spice, and a dash of vulnerability that made her so relatable. Her journey was just as important as the romance and I loved seeing her step into her power.

🌸 Pure Disney Princess Vibes
This book was basically a romantic adventure wrapped in a pastel bow. Picture castles, charm, knights kneeling with adoration in their eyes 🥺 or growling like they cant stand her being touched by someone else, and a plot that felt like a modern fairytale—just with some spice and sass added in! ✨ It never took itself too seriously, which made it even more delightful.

😂 The Humour + Banter
Ugh YES. I laughed. Out loud. The banter was fresh, fast-paced, and actually funny without being overdone. There’s a playfulness in this one that just makes it easy to enjoy.

Ending Summary

Quest for Her Knights gave me exactly what I needed: an uplifting, sparkly little fairytale with big heart energy 💕 It’s sweet, it’s cheeky, and it doesn’t ask too much of you—just sit back and enjoy the ride! Definitely one to reach for when you need a mental hug and a giggle

Holy….well. Unholy.

This book. Words. What are they. How do I form them? I don’t even know anymore!

Just kidding! Alright real talk. This one may be the best one out of this series yet! Quest For Her Knights (or QFHK as I’m going to refer to it in this review) was intense! Like intense intense. From medieval to Modern day this book keeps you guessing! I love that. A thriller has always been my go to, but when you throw steamy romance in with it? Hells bells! I can’t say I am not in love.

As an avid lover of all things Harry Potter, I NEVER thought I’d find a series I enjoyed more until I met this author (metaphorically of course). This author brings to us a stand alone series built inside a shared world that will make you want to sing that famous song from Aladdin we all know and love. Seriously. Like I’m not joking.

Our FMC here is so relatable in ways it would be hard to explain without giving it all away. But let’s say this, if you are a no filter, no nonsense kinda girl, you WILL be looking in the mirror reading her story. Seriously.

And our MMC’s? Can I say they are H O T Hot!!! And I mean it! The way they pine after their girl and will literally bend the knee to protect her is *chefs kiss*

The character building in this is wild. But so so good. The world building is even freaking better. This author brings to you a unique story line with each book based in this world and every time it just gets better and better and better.

The details? Perfection. No other book I’ve ever read has drawn me in, described the world in such vivid ways, and kept my attention through the entire thing. I DEVOURED this one. Like no joke less than 36 hours and I had this puppy finished. Ugh. I think IM pinning for more. Lmbo. I don’t think I could have picked a better book to start off 2026. No regerts. Seriously though if this story was this good, I truly can’t wait to see what the author brings to us next! But until then,

See you all on the next one. Muah! 💋

Book: Quest for Her Knights
Series: Lost Souls of Dyconia, Book 5
Author: Shona Knight
Completed Series: Interconnected Standalones
# of Books in Series: 5 so far, more to come
Genre: Portal Romantasy
Format: eBook

Quick Overview:
1st Thoughts: Well, that made me feel warm and fuzzy! I mainly laughed and smiled throughout reading this book!

Characters:
They are just cute. I love how the MCs start as full-on tropes! It made me laugh

Favorite Character:
Elora is just so spunky, even with her fears of being too much. I felt she was relatable because I often feel like I’m too much. It’s probably why I started living in books.

World Building:
This world is just cute! I love picturing the world as this beautiful fantasy world with everything I’ve ever wanted, with a touch of evil beasties!

Pace/Plot:
The whole idea of this series just makes me happy. There isn’t much more to it. I love the idea of having a doppleganger that was born to the wrong world. It’s just such a nice daydream come to life in a book!

Spice:
It’s sensual, but it doesn’t happen until closer to the end of the book. But the flirting and the commentary about the chemistry are so much fun.

Triggers:
Feeling less than because you have too big a personality

This book in 1 Sentence:
A book that will make you wish your best friend held the key to enter a new world where all of your bookish dreams come true in a fun, slightly intimidating way!

More Detailed Thoughts:
This book, this series, is about your book dreams coming true in the most fun ways. You won’t go on a rollercoaster, you won’t feel the need to throw your book, but you will feel warm and cozy and want to dive into the previous books or the next ones. Great job, Shona!

Rating: 4/5 Stars 2/5 Flames
Nicknames: Baby, Darling, Kitten, Sweetheart

The Lovely: This was the perfect blend of sweet and swoon, and a welcome break from my darker fare. This felt like an almost rom-com but set in a fantasy world. The pining was next level on all sides, even from some of the MMCs who resisted. They all took such good care of the FMC and loved on her in their own ways.

The Mundane: The beginning was, to me, over the top cheesy and it felt like the FMC was trying too hard for it to be believable. I like sweet and cute but the beginning felt painfully cheesy. I also thought it made the FMC seem younger than she was.

Recommendation: We have a fantasy romance standalone! Although this takes place in a shared world and there is some cross-over of characters, you can certainly read this without having read any of the prior books. Just what I did - and in one night no less! If you’re in the mood for a sweet why choose fantasy romance that’s heavy on the swoon, I think you would like this book.

This was such a fun, fast-paced read — perfect if you love reverse harems, forbidden romance, and fantasy worlds with a playful twist.

Elora’s story kicks off when she’s suddenly thrown through a portal into a realm where women are rare and expected to form royal harems. Mistaken for a princess, she’s supposed to choose her noble suitors — but of course, her heart only beats for the knights sworn to protect her.

I really enjoyed the premise. It’s imaginative and a little cheeky, mixing fantasy adventure with humor and plenty of spice. Each of Elora’s knights has their own personality, and you can’t help but fall for all of them in different ways. There’s also a ton of mutual pining and emotional tension since their relationships are strictly forbidden — which makes every glance and stolen moment even hotter.

Elora herself is a delight. She’s funny, confident, and unapologetically herself — she knows her worth and won’t let anyone change her, no matter the circumstances.

The worldbuilding isn’t overly detailed, but that actually works here: the focus stays on the characters, their relationships, and the steamy, forbidden tension. The first chapter felt a bit disorienting, but in a good way — it mirrors Elora’s own confusion when she’s thrown into this strange new world, making it a surprisingly immersive start.

Overall, Quest for Her Knights is a fun, spicy, and imaginative fantasy romance — perfect for readers looking for a quick escape filled with humor, tension, and heart.

An absolutely amazing story. The writing was smooth and flowed well. The plot was executed beautifully and the entire story sucked you in from the first chapter.

We’re introduced to Elora who is a feisty, strong willed woman who wants to find someone or someone’s who will love her with all they have. In the beginning Elora is sent out in a journey/tour to meet prospective suitors set up by her parents the kings and queen. She’s given 4 knights to guard her in this journey and make sure she finds a match. As the story progresses we see plenty bumps in the road to find her suitors and one of the biggest is her attraction to her knights.

Her knights Ranger, Blaze, Arrow and Draven are all written wonderfully. They’ve all got distinct and unique personalities that blend together perfectly. Each man has a way of crawling into your heart and setting up camp. The way they treat Elora makes you wish they were real. There were plenty swoon worthy moments as well as times when you wanted to reach in and punch someone “cough cough Ranger” but we love him anyway.

If you’re looking for a book that takes you on an emotional rollercoaster and keeps you on the edge of your seat then look no further than Quest for her knights.

Whoop-de-do!

What a fun and unique PNR RH — and it's all about her!

This book felt like a rom-com full of wild adventures. In truth, it’s a very turbulent journey for our main characters — they barely get a moment to rest, as something is always happening.

It's also a story filled with sweet, meaningful moments and beautiful themes.

While it’s not a dark book, it does touch on some heavier topics, so it’s worth checking the trigger warnings before diving in.

It’s a slow-burn romance — but not for lack of desire or trying! There are steamy moments, including a touch of BDSM.

The author's concept is fantastic: a whole other world where HR are not only accepted but completely normal? Where do I sign up?
But of course, not everything is as perfect as it seems...

Our FMC is a strong, funny, and straightforward woman who knows what she wants. When she suddenly and unexpectedly ends up in a new realm, the only thing that truly surprises her is the chance to finally have her own HR.
Amid the chaos, she meets four charming knights — each with their own captivating and unique personality — who check all the boxes on her list.

There were definitely moments when both the FMC (and I!) felt tricked — It’s like waving cake in front of a hungry person and then saying, “Look, but you can’t have it.” That was just mean!

As a standalone, this story gives our characters the HEA they truly deserve.

I need a portal to Dyconia

I love how each of these books brings a woman to Dyconia where she is supposed to be. No matter what she was running from or leaving behind the new world was exactly where she needed to be. It definitely doesn't hurt that they also get multiple men to love, protect, and cherish her.

When the original Elora is desperate to leave our gatekeeper is hit so suddenly with the need for the exchange to happen she isn't able to ease her friend into the idea. However, since Eldora doesn't have anything keeping her from leaving besides her friend she is happy to go to Dyconia.

Immediately being dropped into a prison cell isn't ideal though. However, there are people here who have seen this happen before. Plus this man who shows up first is gorgeous and Elora immediately wants to know him better. Unfortunately for her he is a Knight and she is a Princess being sent to meet eligible men.

Follow on her journey to meet the men her "parents" deemed worthy of their daughter. Lived seeing the knights falling for her and trying so hard to only be what their job entails. Spoiler alert (yeah not really) they can't fight the pull.

I adore these men. They are all so very different and bring something unique to the relationship. I loved seeing them teach her about Dyconia while she taught them about where she came from.

Oooo that ending that set up the next book was fantastic. I can't wait to see how that goes. It will be different for sure.

📖 Quest for her Knights by Shona Knight

I have really come to just love this entire series by Shona Knight! Each books is entirely unique and the characters are all so vibrant.

This story we got to see Elora’s journey to happiness and it was a wild ride! The instant chemistry between her and her knights was amazing. They all fought the connection because of their mission but it was undeniable.

Elora was a wonderful FMC! She was bright and beautiful. Constantly trying to make the most out of her situation while on her quest for her mates. There were times when the world tried to dim her light, but her mates were there to love her just the way she was!

The guys were great! We had our typical hold outs in the harem but I loved them all!

“Uh uh uh,” Blaze says, pulling my hands up above my head. “We’re in charge of your pleasure now, darling.”

If you love angsty fated mates stories, run! The Quest for Her Knights is waiting for you

Okay, so let’s me start off by saying this is book 5 of the series, they are all standalone!

Wow this book was so so good! It had the hint of fantasy that really kept me hooked! I couldn’t put this book down. From the very beginning I was immersed in the book.

I knew I was going to love Elora, when she went to her friend’s bookstore and told her, her match maker fired her. Elora is blunt, is funny, kind. TOTAL SUNSHINE!

Her knights omg her knights, Ranger, Arrow, Draven, Blaze! Draven and Ranger were my favorite but that’s because Ranger has major Dom vibes and Draven is the grumpy bad boy (with an amazing secret) Arrow and Blaze were total flirts and huge cinnamon roll!

I love the plot, she is sent to medieval times and is forced to take place of her doppelgänger place as princess, she basically has to go to different places and meet different lords to find the men she wants to marry, but of course those lords aren’t all that they are cracked up to be..

Her knights woo her but it’s forbidden!!

Ahhh I loved everything about this book and I’m 100000% going back to read the first 4!

“I’m just her knight… a knight… not hers.” ~Draven

Elora is just trying to find someone who loves her, though she might have a few…. Requirements. She's a woman who knows what she wants and doesn't feel the need to lower her value just to accept men that don't fit. I love this character so much, she's so caring and quirky. Which puts Elora in a situation where she knows she only has one choice, she can't leave her best friend in pain. There's so many characters in this book to be mad at on Elora's behalf, I know I was. The situations our lady gets into because of her doppelganger aren't fair to her. This is absolutely one book you should read to see if Elora will get the happy ending she deserves, or if she will be stuck having to pay for the old Elora's mistake. This one might not be as spicy as some of the others might have been, but this one really focuses on those forbidden forced proximity relationship build ups and denials.

Also, Ari… poor Ari, I'm so glad for her and Elora's friendship. I really hope we see more of them together eventually. As always that epilogue has its claws in me and I can't wait to see what's next.

3,5/5 ARC

Quest for Her Knights offered me a delightful escape into the world of Dyconia. The plot skillfully weaves together a forbidden romance, a slow burn that will appeal to fans of the genre, and an intriguing fantasy atmosphere.

What I especially enjoyed was the variety among the knights, each bringing a different dynamic to the story, even if I had a personal favorite. The aspect of discovering a world that’s part magical, part medieval, with its unique customs, is a real highlight.

On the flip side, I would have liked a bit more suspense regarding the magic, which feels somewhat secondary, and a few tropes that felt a bit too familiar. However, overall, it’s a very pleasant read, perfect for unwinding without overthinking.

In conclusion, it’s a solid choice for those who enjoy romance with a fantasy twist, without reinventing the wheel, but definitely a fun and easy read.

This book is exactly the kind of romantasy I crave and it delivered on every single beat. The portal twist into Dyconia was addictive ✨, the “mistaken for the princess” setup was deliciously tense 👑, and the “why‑choose” dynamic was handled with care, heat, and heart. I loved everything about it. 💜

Elora is the kind of heroine I root for: smart, stubborn, and willing to choose her own joy even when the stakes are life‑and‑death. And the knights? Absolute chef’s kiss. 😘🫶 The chemistry cracked off the page and the slow slide from forbidden to inevitable had me grinning like a fool. 😏

-Arrow felt like a steady flame I could trust, the softest touch with a spine of steel, our golden retriever in knight's armor. 🏹
- Blaze was all heat and spark, the cinnamon roll tease who backed it up when it mattered. 🔥
- Ranger’s dominant edge owned every scene he stepped into, but his protectiveness made me melt. 🛡️
- Draven brought mood and mystery, the quiet storm I couldn’t stop thinking about. 🌩️

What really worked for me:

🚫The “off‑limits” tension is immaculate. Every stolen glance felt earned and every boundary was respected.
🌌The worldbuilding paints Dyconia vividly without slowing the story.
✅Consent and care are front and centre. No bullying. No cheating. Just grown‑ups communicating, learning, and choosing each other.
🎯Pacing is tight, stakes are real, and the payoff is so, so satisfying.

If you love protective MMCs, found‑family vibes within a harem dynamic, and a heroine who knows her worth, this will hit every button. I closed the book smiling and a little feral in the best way.

Romance Readers Dream

Elora had me cracking up from the beginning. She’s definitely my kind of girl and I feel like we might have been friends in real life. I know she wasn’t expecting to be crossing into a new realm that morning when she woke up but she I feel like she adapted pretty well. There were definitely some bumps and bruises in her journey to ending up with the men she loves but I think it was worth it in the end. They really were a good match for each other, even if outside sources didn’t think so. I will admit that the way it ended isn’t my favorite, but that’s mostly just me wanting to see more of these characters than anything. I just want to know more about how their future turns out. So maybe we’ll get lucky to see more of them in future books. But if I’m not, that’s okay, I’m grateful that I got to read their story. I definitely want to check out the other books in this universe because it’s intriguing.

If you are looking for a comfort why choose series with a unique story for each book but in the same world and same rules....you really need to read these!

I just finished this one and I am still shocked every time that I am able to literally like inhale these books. I will be like ok....it'll take me two weeks to read but then finish it in like a day. Elora surprised me because I was nervous about this one knowing how wicked Elora was when she was brought up in the other books before her doppelganger switch! I will say that this one was probably my favorite one. That or my second favorite. You got your golden retriever, cinnamon roll, dom, and bad boy why choose perfection. Elora was also so lovable. The writing keeps you engaged all the way.

Ugh. They hit the spot. I cant wait for the next one!

The Lost Souls of Dyconia has become my cozy comfort why choose series. Quest for Her Knights is the fifth installation in the series and does not disappoint.

I loved Elora. She was unapologetically herself. She is fun, creative, and not afraid to speak her mind. There is a lightness about her that just makes you want to be her friend. Her knights are every inch book boyfriend material too. Who can go wrong with a dom, a golden retriever, a cinnamon roll, and a bad boy. It's the perfect mix.

I love that there is some angst and it's a slow burn, but there is an overarching feeling of positivity in the book. I loved joining them on the adventure and while not all of the groups of Lords they meet were bad, they just weren't meant for her. I would love to see Elora and her men pop into any future books in the series.

This was such a fun and imaginative read! I loved the creativity behind the world-building and the concept — portal travel, a reverse harem, and a quest full of knights? Yes, please! It definitely delivered on adventure and fantasy.

The alternate world was vibrant and full of potential, and the knights each brought their own charm and intrigue to the story. The author clearly had a unique vision, and it shows in the originality of the plot.

While the writing style wasn’t always as polished as I’d hoped, and the pacing felt a bit uneven at times, I still found myself turning pages to see what would happen next. The story has heart, and fans of portal fantasy and reverse harem romance will likely find a lot to enjoy here.

Looking forward to seeing how this author grows with future books — there’s a lot of promise in her voice and storytelling.

Quest For Her Knights is book 5 of the Dyconia series, an interconnected series that can also be enjoyed as standalones. Shona created such a fun and captivating world that I wish someone would pull me through so I could build my own harem. Elora has the perfect man she's searching for but struggles to find him until her best friend opens a doorway to another realm where men outnumber women-as a princess on a quest to find Lords she's supposed to marry. The twist? She starts to fall for the knights who are meant to protect her. Since they're low-ranking, they're off-limits, but she's not really a princess, is she? As her journey continues and she visits more Lords from whom'she's meant to choose, she slowly realizes that no one can compare to her knights. This was definitely a fun and easy read. While I didn't love it as much as some of the others I've read-mainly because I didn't connect much with Elora's personality and felt the story was a bit longer than necessary-I still enjoyed the world Shona built and was happy to see her get her HEA. I'd rate it 3.75 stars.

I am loving this series so much. Could you imagine a portal opening up and finding out you were born in the wrong world and belong to one where you find several hot men that belong to you? This is Dyconia!

Elora is such a fun character. She's feisty and sweet. After seeing her doppelganger, she goes to Dyconia. While in search of brothers to be her mates, she has knights that are to watch over her while on her search.

All the knights are perfect with the cinnamon rolls, broody, and daddy dom one. Being with the knights is forbidden but as they all spend more time together it is making it harder to keep searching for other mates.

So much happens in this book and such a fun read and nice to take a break from the dark books. Will Elora get everything she's always wanted? Read this to find out!
