Este libro tiene 2 fases MUY marcadas: Todo lo interesante y educativo de la primera parte lo echó a perder el prescindible bodrio de la segunda parte. Da la impresión que Robert Lomas se vio corto de texto con aquella y rellenó con ésta.
Con todo, la primera parte es tan buenísima que en cierta medida se perdona lo "otro".
¿Es para comprarlo? … No, sólo para lectura en sala, como mucho, préstamo a domicilio.

Mooie plaatjes (maar wel vaak dezelfde), maar een wel erg vaagtalige tekst, vol grote, maar holle woorden. Grote geheimen worden niet onthuld en de interpretatie van de symbolen is heel algemeen, op maçonnieke ideeën gestoeld, maar nergens echt betekenisvol. Het eerste deel geeft een heel erg gekleurde interpretatie van het gebruik van symboliek, waarin voornamelijk Gimbutas geciteerd wordt, een theorie die al wel vaker is ontkracht.
Echt een boek uit de witte boekenmarkt en gelukkig niet duur. Mooie plaatjes voor een kleine prijs, maar niet de moeite waard om goed te lezen.

This was not the first book by Robert Lomas that I have read, and therefore, there were areas of repetition from previous books into this one, which I guess is to be expected due to the overlapping topics of the books. That being said, I felt that this book fell a little short of where the other books ended. But perhaps this is simply because I am not a Mason, and I have not learned the various ideas which are being presented in the book. I just felt that some of the chapters were far over my head, and that some were just not informative enough to clarify all of the questions that were raised when I was reading. All the same, if this is a topic which interests you, by all means, give this book a read.

Interesting to read the history and impact of symbols. Unfortunately, the description of the symbols of freemasonry one by one adds too little value to the story. At least it enables the reader to recognize any masonic symbols in real life.

Having in mind how much information gives this book, it could have been printed on half amount of paper than was.....but anyway, the content makes sence, so was interesting to read.
