A really fun lightheartedI'M RAGING RIPPING MY HAIR OUT AT THE ANGST OF IT ALL GRAHHHHHH I'M IRE FURY IS ME romcom 💕💕🤭🤭
I loved the concept of hidden identities at this point. I really liked the aspect that they have sides they can't show anyone, even though in case of this manga it's a bit tame cuz it's not something super duper scandalous or anything like that. And I absolutely adore the highschool setting I love high school settings sm (even though I could burn my own school with a smile on my face *jkjk* I don't condone arson kids).
But yeah it's a really light refreshing read THE YEARNING THE MISUNDERSTANDING MAKE IT STOP MAKE.IT.STOP. *cuts out my eyelids to stop the eye twitching*
Otogi isn't your average high school girl. She's the ✨madonna✨. She's got the face card thats paying real bills. But beneath that sugary gorgeous surface she's got a badass cool side she can't show anyone (why. I don't know.) but i ABSOLUTELY ADORED how narcissistic she is like okwy NARCISSUS
Toki isn't your average high school dude either. He's also got that premium face card with an unlimited limit. And he's also got a weird kooky side he can't show anyone (why. Idk).
And when they both realize they aren't that different after all they make you wanna say FALL IN LOVE YOU FALSE ANGELS.
Now exhibiting ✨issues✨
Take 1- I really couldn't understand why they can't show their kooky b sides too anyone. I don't think there is a good enough reason to hide it.
Take 2- sometimes it seemed like their only personality trait is how pretty they are ...and it kinda put me off...
Take 3-
✨Honorary mention to Beni-chan for being a badass self aware girly who takes no shit I love her sm✨
But despite everything I still had an absolute blast with it. Really fun!

BENI LA MUJER QUE ERES!! una mastermind por planear todo eso únicamente para poner celoso a ikkoku y que por fin tenga los huevos de confesarse y valore a Otagi AMO AQUÍ!!!

"Quando ti innamori, a volte i tuoi sentimenti prendono il sopravvento e non riesci più a mantenere i tuoi principi. Futagami, tu hai molta esperienza in campo romantico. Anche a te succede di sentirti così? È così anche per gli altri? Oppure sono solo io? A volte ho paura di perdere di vista la versione di me che voglio essere."
Certi finali, soprattutto quando non si sa bene quando uscirà il volume successivo, dovrebbero essere illegali 😭
La tranquilla estate di Otogi a casa della sua nonna, segnata dal ritmo dei messaggi che lei e Toki si scambiano, prende una piega piuttosto movimentata quando il ragazzo e Gen la invitano per una gita di tre giorni. Per sicurezza la mamma di Otogi propone di portarsi dietro la migliore amica della figlia. Fin qui tutto bene. Se non fosse che, poco convinta dall'atteggiamento di Toki e dal modo in cui ha rifiutato la dichiarazione di Otogi, Benio si fa venire la "grande" idea di portarsi dietro l'elemento di disturbo, Futagami.
La gita sembra partire bene: Toki non ha alcuna intenzione di nascondere certe parti del suo carattere e del suo aspetto che fino a quel momento conoscevano solo Otogi e Gen. E agli occhi di tutti i presenti, i sentimenti dei due protagonisti diventano piuttosto chiari. Le cose si complicano il secondo giorno, quando, per via di uno stupido gioco, Otogi si sente nuovamente rifiutata di Toki. E il volume si chiude prima che i due possano chiarirsi, visto che il ragazzo esce per aiutare Benio e Gen, mentre Otogi rimane in casa con Futagami nel bel mezzo di un black out...e Rai ascolta i dubbi della protagonista e fa la sua mossa. E il volume finisce così 🫣 io sono sconvolta 😱
Qui urge avere tra le mani il volume sei, un po' perché voglio capire cosa passa per la testa di Toki (qui tutto è dal punto di vista di Otogi, però anche i sentimenti del ragazzo mi sembrano abbastanza chiari), e un po' perché vorrei saperne di più sulla figura di Benio e sul tipo di attenzione che sta rivolgendo verso Gen (che sarà pure un ex teppista, ma si sta dimostrando una persona responsabile, con l'occhio lungo per quanto riguarda tutto il triangolo Otogi/Toki/Futagami, anche se si porta dietro anche lui dei lati segreti).
Alla fine di questo quinto volume, la situazione è la seguente: Otogi è chiaramente innamorata, al punto che ogni tanto questa cosa finisce per offuscare il suo giudizio e prendere il sopravvento su tutto. Futagami sa bene di non essere l'oggetto del desiderio della ragazza, ma non ha alcuna intenzione di tirarsi indietro. E poi c'è Toki, un bel mistero, anche perché lancia messaggi contrastanti alla povera Otogi - nel sesto volume spero di vedere un confronto tra i due e spero che Toki saprà dare voce ai suoi veri sentimenti. Nel mentre non ci resta che attendere fiduciosi 😮💨😩

Đôi điều về Beni~
Là bạn thân nhất của Otogi, Beni cũng xinh xắn dễ thương nhưng ẻm lại chẳng hề ngây thơ như Otogi. Ngược lại, Beni vô cùng sắc sảo và nhạy bén, ẻm phát hiện ra bí mật của Ikkoku, biết được tình cảm của Futagami với Otogi, và rồi tranh thủ tạo tình huống để “test” Ikkoku xem có xứng đáng với Otogi - người bạn thân thiết đáng trân trọng nhất của ẻm không.
Nếu Otogi luôn toả sáng rực rỡ bùng lên như pháo hoa thu hút mọi ánh nhìn, thì Beni lại cháy đều như than hồng, bình ổn, không rực rỡ nhưng càng ở gần thì sẽ càng thấy ấm áp.
Đặc biệt, cô nàng Beni dù có vẻ lạnh lùng, thờ ơ với đủ “mối” xung quanh, ấy vậy mà tác giả cho ẻm một cái “love-line” không ngờ luôn.
Càng đọc bộ này càng thấy nhân vật nào cũng đáng yêu vô cùng 🥺

Empecé a leer el manga el año pasado y la verdad no me encantó. El arte es PRECIOSO pero fuera de eso sentí que no tenía sustancia.
Hoy, sin querer, me quise poner al día y DIOS COMO AMÉ ESTE VOLUMEN. Sigo pensando que le hace falta sustancia y claro que tiene sus (bastantes) desperfecto pero vaya que la cosa está mejorando.
Le tengo mucho cariño a Katsura, no me he topado con suficientes protagonistas de shoujosei que sean tan atrevidas y seguras de si mismas como ella.

December 15, 2025Mình đã chờ đợi một mùa hè sôi động và những màn combat rực lửa từ hai chàng Toki và Futagami, nhưng hoá ra không khí truyện tập 5 lại trầm trầm buồn buồn buồn thế nào ấy🥺Nhưng càng đọc mình càng thích Futagami hơn, yêu cái sự thẳng thắn và cố gắng thay đổi vì cô gái mình thích của ẻm quá🥺
