An awesome book. I discovered this gem when I took a Positive Psychology class at Harvard University in 2015. I found it to be engaging and as I worked my way through it, I discovered that it contained research data that validates the life coaching profession and many other areas of personal development. It truly is a must read for anyone wanting to become a positive psychologist, mental health counselor, master resilience trainer, pastoral counselor or life coach. It is also a great book for anyone who wants answers to why they do the things that they do and maybe how to do things better. It is one of those books I will turn to over and over again when I need insight into a client or myself.
EXCELLENT book! I didn't just read it, i studied it .... underlining certain sentences, writing notes in the columns, etc..... I will be keeping this for future reference. It's an excellent book for one's self and also for helping others.

فهذا مجال جديد في علم النفس لا يركز على الحالات النفسية المرضية وعلاجها ولكن على المشاعر والحالات والظروف الإيجابية باعتبارها مفاهيم متمايزة عن الأمراض والسلبيات.
فطيب الحياة وجودتها لا يعني غياب المنغصات والأمراض فقط، ولكن يعني ضرورة تنمية مشاعر وحالات وعلاقات إيجابية حتى في ظل غياب كل الأمراض والمنغصات
ومع ذلك فهذا لا يعني أن هذا المجال لا يتقاطع مع المجال الإكلينيكي العلاجي لعلم النفس، ولكنه يتكامل معه ويوطده ويرسخ نتائجه.
على مدار مئات ومئات من الصفحات تعلمت - بحمد الله وفضله - عدد مهول من المصطلحات النفسية الهامة والتي أرجو من الله أن تفتح لي أبوابا لمجالات أوسع يمن الله علي بأن يرزقني معرفتها.
not one of the worst textbooks i've read to be completely honest. I didn't hate this one and i feel as if the context was great for understanding. while i don't particularly love the actual content, it wasn't horrible to get through!
Some interesting ideas and concepts, but the quality and integrity of the research wasn't really there, so I found myself skeptical the whole time. Which is sad because I love positive psychology.
