I don't want to give anything anyway so I will keep this short. The action continues to pick up as Nath faces off with Gorn Grattack and other evil dragons on his own while his friends are battling their own dragons and trying to get to Nath. This book was very hard to put down and my 14 year old son finished it in record time. The narrator does a fantastic job and really is fun to listen to. I would say these books are geared towards middle grade boys with plenty of action, no graphic violence, no bad language, and very little romance... These adventurers don't have time for such things!
—I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
Follows the same format as the others: Nath gets himself into trouble and his friends save him. Overall an OK series. Easy to read, not too deep. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for an easy sci-fi read. Also, not worth buying. I got them all free with my prime account by checking them out, one a month until I finished.
Here you find the answers to your questions but find new ones to replace them . The author does an excellent job through out the entire series but brings you to a climax of anticipation in the final book . But look out you will want more.
Holy moly that was bloody a epic, I can't believe that's the last book in the in the series or is it, from that ending, it's sounds like I'm going to be going on more adventures with Nath Dragon and his companions, a series I've absolutley falling in love with over the last few days, the characters the plot and the worldbuilding was just awesome, in the last book, Nath has finally worked his charms on Selene, will she turn against her father and aid Nath in beating her father the evil dragon Lord Gorn Grattack, a very intense story with many mega dragons battles and my god there is so many dragons in this book, the ferocity and loss of life which included humans, elves, dwarfs, evil creatures and dragons, absolutle destruction, Nath Dragon is willing to die for his friends and they for him, will good win over evil and Nath Dragon finally take his father place as king of the dragons, I can't highly recommended this series enough, a fun humoured read for all ages, Lee Alan has continuesly given his all to these ten books with his fantastic narration, what are you waiting for check it out, you won't regret it..😁🐲⚔
Entertaining Series for All although Written more for YA
A classic story of good versus evil, the weaknesses in all existance, and the power of friends banded together. The author tells that his primary goal was to simply to entertain and I was entertained! The 10 books in this series read more like 10 chapters in one book - each building to the next. Some of the stand-alone books ended without me clearly perceiving an obvious individual story. To me, reading books 1 - 10 out of order would be like randomly opening a book to read whatever chapter fell open. So I recommend a reader start at the beginning with book one and continue in order - you will then recognize the hero's growth from cocky carefree youth to full-powered, mature leader.
A very intense story with many battles, much loss of life which included humans, elves, dwarfs, evil creatures and dragons. Nath Dragon was willing to die for his friends and they for him. The evil dragon King did his best to destroy anyone in his reach. The battle scenes were somewhat drawn out and I felt the ending was abrupt with no final words concerning a number of key characters and how they all made out. Overall I still feel this is a series for very young readers. Kathy Barber Doyle - 6/22/2018
I think the real heroes in the book are the friends we made along the way. Nath is a good character but really all the other characters shine as they aren't a Dragon like Nath. I especially love Ben, a human in a world filled with magic.
It is unfortunate that Goodreads does not list the omnibus for that is how I read these as one large book. So that is how I will be offering my feelings of this series.
First of I will say that book one is obviously a novella. Having said that it does what it was intending to do and that is introduce you to this marvelous world the Craig has made and an idea of what was wrong with it.
I had read in some of the other critiques that these books were meant for young adults I honestly enjoyed them. The plot was complex. The growth of the main character could go one way or the other through then entire book and you never knew which way. The fighting was well played out with not the good guy always winning but a flicker of hope still remained. For a teen this book is an excellent coming of age book to read. And even for adults, I see no reason why we cannot not enjoy the depth and growth within, for we are always charged with this type of charge every day in our lives.
I have enjoyed each and every one of these book and glad that I got them all at once and it is my hope that for any age you will find the courage that I found through these pages.
I have read all ten books in this series but waited until I finished this last book before writing a review. I really liked this story and am so glad I read it on my Kindle. None of the books were very long so I was able to purchase the next one without the aggravation of either ordering a book online or going to a local bookstore. I think this story should be combined into two or three volumes instead of ten. There were also occasional typos and/or misspellings. I noticed this more in the later books in the series than in the earlier ones.
Nath Dragon and his buddies made for a great read. There was lots of drama and intrigue. It was hard to predict what was going to happen next and since the characters were sometimes separated, there was just that much more going on to hold my interest.
I'm starting book 1 of series 2 next. Kudos to the author. I think he has a great imagination.
So. One review for the entire omnibus (books 1-10). First off, I did really enjoy the series. Why three stars? I found some aspects of Halloran's writing style mildly irritating: the sound effects; the weak (somewhat dumb?) dialogue of the main character; the gaps in the story's timeline. I think, though, if I were a younger reader with different expectations, this series would be up there with four or five stars. I would recommend this series to younger readers or to older readers in need of a quick and relaxing read.
For being the final book in the series, I had hoped for something more but didn't get it. The epilogue didn't follow through with all the characters in the book and the end was anticlimactic. Plus, I've never been a fan of killing off a character that deserves to die only to bring them back. Cliche. But it was a fun series to read and I enjoyed it for the most part.
You would think a ten book series would be enough for one story but these books are so entertaining you won't want to put them down and it won't seem like enough! I read them to our son and I loved the excitement in his eyes when he had questions about the story that just needed to be answered. In my opinion , you can't go wrong with these books.
It was definitely a great series to read. It was such a warm and fun story to follow. Very motivating and just enough to keep you wanting to read more.
Ah, this series was so good! It was everything I was looking for and I admit that I teared up at the very end of this book. Can't wait to read the next series!
As always a fun entertaining read with tons of action and a great plot. Though I crave more from this series it was a fantastic story you don't want to miss out on.
