This book was bad bad bad!! Stay away!! Save yourselves!!
Behold the absolute garbage that is this story:
The h has a brother who is a cop so whenever she wants to rescue her BF from a bad date she pretends that her brother has been in an accident. Yeah, she actually thinks this is funny.
The h is very curvy and poses for retro pinup calendars and catalogues. You would think this makes her confident in her body but its the exact opposite. She is embarrassed to eat the foods she wants in front of the H and even refers to herself as a pig. FOR EATING!!! Why are women shaming themselves for wanting to eat more than a salad? Any time the h sees a woman with a smaller body type, she becomes jealous and spiteful of the woman.
The h has DD breasts that are natural. At one point, a bouncer lets the h and her BF into the club so she rubs her breasts against them as thanks. Yuck!
The scene that made me throw my kindle is where I stopped this train wreck. The h is meeting the wives of the H's friends. One woman actually asks the h is she could feel the h's breasts to see if they are real. The h giggles and agrees bc she gets asked that a lot. So the h and 2 wives are feeling each other breasts and giggling when the men walk in.
A disgusting stupid waste of time. I am absolutely repulsed.

Super cute story. I really enjoyed this book and the way the author wrote it in alternating POV's.
What I didn't like was Amalie's family and friends getting mad at her over Eric. I can't believe her brother, even her best friend, would side with that abusive jerk over family. She was right to move away and right them off. Although I was really happy she got her twin back in the end and starting rebuilding their relationship.
The love story between was Amalie and Jarrod was very intense and steamy, a lot of hot bathroom sex! The author did a great job of working the subplot w/ Eric into the story line without over powering the romance aspect, but still keeping readers on the edge of their seat waiting to see what would happen next.
Very fun read!

This story was a fresh take on the sports romance theme. Amalie is a curvy, smart, sexy woman who is a ultra sound technician by day and an in demand pin up model by night. She meets a hot stranger in the VIP section of a night club and is instantly smitten. But she leaves before finding out who he is.
Mr. Mystery tracks her down, no way is he letting this Danish hottie get away from him. He makes his moves on her, introduces her to his friends, but neglects to tell her a little secret. Ok, maybe his big secret-he's Jarrod Harrison, the starting pitcher for the New York Yankees. Amalie doesn't follow sports and doesn't realize exactly how big a deal he is in the sports world. She has worked hard to escape the criticism of her uber successful parents, but most importantly, she has rebuilt her life after Eric, her psycho ex, tried to destroy her.
As Jarrod and Amalie get closer and more serious about each other, a threat from Amalie's past threatens to take everything away from the both of them. Can Jarrod keep Amalie safe and what does the future hold for them?
This is a well written, fast paced story and I really enjoyed it.

It doesn't take Jarrod long to realize that he may be in way over his head when he finds out just how popular Amalie's pictures really are ... And he doesn't want the rest of the male population to ogle his perfect girlfriend, that's just for his eyes only, right ? Oh, why can't Amalie be a normal girl, you know, the type that he tells what to do for her own good, and she does it to the letter ... Then they live happily ever after, right ? I loved the premise, albeit very cliche, but the writing was just terrible. No disrespect to the author but it was truly a roll-my-eyes-gonna-skim-through-the-dialogue level of lameness. Also, sorry to be vulgar, but the constant use of 'fuck', 'whose sweet pussy is this', 'your pussy is mine', 'my pussy want something', my 'pussy like my cock', and so many other variations was really too much.

Really good book with a really addicting plot. Couldn't put it down until I finished it. Can't wait for the rest in the series. Definitely recommended!!

The reason I gave just 3 stars is that all was just sex. i liked the first part of the book, but the rest i strugled to get into.

Amalie, a six foot tall curvy sonogram technician, and part time pin-up model moved to Boston for college and decided this was the place to start her life over. She lived a pretty ordinary, almost mundane life with her best friend Jo. That is until she met the freakishly tall (by her six-foot standards) Jarrod in a club one night.
Jarrod is built like a Greek God with a face that will bring any woman to her knees. He is the epitome of alpha male; sure of himself, sure of what he wants and most definitely sure of how to get it. He is loyal and caring with a fierce protective side, which is a good thing when the person Amalie moved to Boston to get away from pops back into her life.
Will this seemingly perfect couple, on the inside and out, be able to handle the curve balls that are continually thrown at them, or will they strike out with each other?
I was absolutely hooked on Amalie and Jerrod's story from the very start. She was sweet and shy, but definitely no pushover. And let me tell you, Jarrod had me wanting to go hang out at the local baseball stadium to see if I could snag a man like him! Sparks flew between these two from the very beginning. They threatened to melt my ereader on many occasions!
I absolutely devoured this story, staying up late, getting up early and sneaking in a chapter whenever I quite possibly should have been doing something else. It was just one of those books where you literally cannot put it down. There were laugh out loud moments, let me grab a cold drink moments, a few oh no, and even a few what the... moments in this book. There were times I couldn't turn the pages fast enough to find out what was going to happen next.
In the story Ms. Faiman introduced the other couples who will be featured in upcoming books in the series. She gave just enough to hook me in to their stories. I will most definitely be reading all of the Men of Baseball books. This is a series standalone, but if the other books are anything like this one, I'll be binge reading about The Men of Baseball all season long!

This was an okay book. It was one of those insta-love books where, within weeks of meeting, they are living together. Here's what I liked and disliked--
I liked the sports aspect, but didn't like that the author didn't have her facts about baseball straight. Professional players don't go on month long road trips. They don't take week long vacations in the middle of the season, and the season starts in April. Spring training starts in February. If their baby was born in March, and he was not 2 months old, then it would be at least early May, which means the season would be at least one month old. If you're going to use pro sports in your book, get your facts right-- or find someone who can help you with that aspect!
It was a cute story, but there were just too many loose holes, like Jo. This is supposedly her best friend, who destroys her belongings over a man??? Huh??? And we never get any feedback. Her brother doesn't talk to her for 3 years, and their conversation goes like that??? It just felt odd. She bring up Jarrod's sister, but never says anything about any kind of resolution... If it wasn't that big of deal, then why even bring her up? It was things like this that I really didn't like very much and kept this book from being at least 4 stars.

I needed a little break from the dark stuff I've been reading non stop, and so I decided to finally read this one I bought a while back. It's a super sweet story, with a super hot filthy talking alpha baseball player. And the way he talks.....Just yummy. Melt your panties yummy! :) I loved the story between Amalie and Jarrod. It was fun watching their relationship blossom. It was also fun to read all the jealous bitches being catty because they were so jealous over Amalie. I could totally picture it. I only wish there had been more of a satisfying slap to the heads of Jo and Eric. Assholes. Other than that, this was a very nice story to clean away some of the darkness my books of late have accumulated in me.

I was asked to read this book for an honest review, and let me say I am so glad to have the opportunity to read for this talented author. I read at least a book a week and this book was a pleasure to read. Very well written, great flow, easy read. I could not stop!
If you enjoy hot, hot, hot sexy books without the drama this book if for you. Amalie is an amazingly strong women and Jarrod is a perfect man. Most books get caught up with drama or lack of communication but not this. It was nice to read a book that actually entertained me, took me to another world to laugh, cry and enjoy myself.

As soon as I started the book, I couldn't put it down. I would highly recommend this book to everyone!! It's a love story mixed with lots of twist and turns. As I read this book she makes me feel as though I am right there with them experiencing everything. Hayley is an amazing author! I can' wait for the next one to be released!!

Ugh! The story was OK, but as a die-hard baseball fan, I couldn't get over the ridiculousness of how the life of a New York Yankee was portrayed. Nothing about it is accurate, and I don't recommend reading this if you know anything at all about baseball.

We meet Amalie, an ultrasound technician and her roommate, Jo who live in Boston. They go out to a club where Amalie meets Jarrod. As her side job, Amalie is also a pin up model for magazines.. They meet up after one of her photo shoots and head to a close by diner for their first real date. Jared and Amalie continue to date long distance style with meet ups in between.
Jarrod & Amalie go out to lunch with Jarrod’s teammates & their wives then head back to relax before Amalie has to meet with her brother, Niklas. Eric, Amalie’s former boyfriend used to beat and sexually abuse so Amalie had had enough & moved to Boston with Jo to start college courses.
I loved how Jarrod’s & Amalie’s relationship blossomed. Ii love everything about this book especially all the twists & turns. Can’t wait to dive into book 2

Amalie and Jo have lived in Boston for a few years now, they decided to move there after high school together. After a difficult past with a controlling ex and abusive boyfriend Eric (who also happens to be her brothers best friend) and a rough friendship Amalie and Jo decide to try the dating pool again. After a series of blind dates Amalie once again helps Jo out and uses an excuse to pull her out of another bad date. Instead of going home that night they decide to go to a club...that night changes everything... Amalie meets a large mysterious gorgeous man named Jarrod. After some stalkerish behavior he talks her into a date, which Jo tries to flirt with him when he picks up Amalie. After a few more dates Jarrod has to return to New York where he lives. While visiting Jarrod for the weekend Amelie's brother Niklas calls and wants to meet up...even though he hasn't spoke to her in almost 3 years. After finding out what Jarrod does for a living and meeting some of his team mates and their wives Amalie feels comfortable and relaxed with them, something she hasn't felt in a while. Hayley Faiman does a great job with "Pitching for Amalie". The characters all flow well and have just the perfect amount of background information so you can understand but not be over informed with useless information. Amalie decided she wants to trust Jarrod with her past about Eric so she tells him everything that happened..." he was so sweet at first, but as time went on, he started to morph into a cruel boy and then a vicious man" Then that one thing happens, the game changer, you know it’s coming you just don't know when. After overcoming her past and moving forward after meeting Jarrod will Niklas, Jo, and Eric destroy everything Amalie has worked so hard to overcome or will her and Jarrod prevail over everything and move forward together and finally get the happy ending she deserves after such a bad past.

This one is amazing. I haven't read many sports related books and after this one I think I may need too for sure. Baseball is the only thing that comes to mind to explain this one. Jarrod and Amalie...swoon! Perfect couple people just perfect, although the hard times to get to where they ended up was difficult. Knowing what Amalie went thru previously was hurtful to read and know how to feel about it. Then the bastard shows up and I was livid! Then we get the best friend..pfft if you want to call her that then maybe you shouldn't read on after what she does! Finally there's Jarrod and his family, completely loving and open and honest, but most of all accepting. You will get a understanding of being cast out and looked at or anything along the lines of being mean because your different in this book. Amalie is strong and pushes forward for herself because she knows she is more. We all need to be that way in life. Strive for it even. Definitely a must read if you love all things baseball and family.

Wow!!
I just want to start by saying this book grabbed my attention as soon as I read the blurb and seen the cover. But wow I am blown away!! I was completely sucked in and finished the story in one sitting.
It had everything I love in a book, a hot baseball player, over the top alpha male. A sweet, curvy, independent female, hot chemistry and of course drama and angst. I loved the writing and even some parts I actually found myself blushing. The authors writing captured my attention and pulled me in!
I would definitely recommend this book to everyone and I can not wait for the next one!!!

I really enjoyed Pitching for Amalie. It's a simple boy meets girl story that is well written and thoroughly engaging.
Amalie is a young woman who is running from something in her past when she meets Jarrod. Jarrod is enraptured by Amalie from the moment he sees her and despite her initial reluctance -- doesn't stop pursuing her.
Overall, I really really liked this story. There was some triggering moments and some things that I couldn't wrap my head around, but if this is the beginning of a series, sign me up for the next one.
I give it 4.5 stars
I really enjoyed Pitching for Amalie. It's a simple boy meets girl story that is well written and thoroughly engaging.
Amalie is a young woman who is running from something in her past when she meets Jarrod. Jarrod is enraptured by Amalie from the moment he sees her and despite her initial reluctance -- doesn't stop pursuing her.
Overall, I really really liked this story. There was some triggering moments and some things that I couldn't wrap my head around, but if this is the beginning of a series, sign me up for the next one.
I give it 4.5 stars

Wohoo!! Curvy girls rule!!! Now if only that can happen to me in real life sans the crazy ex and kidnapping! Great quick read.

A fun read with a little drama and a few bumps along the way to Happily Ever After!
Pitching for Amalie was a great read with great characters and lots of chemistry between Amalie and Jarrod.
Amalie had been dealt a crappy hand when it came to her family and best friend. She had left them behind determined to start over and leave past behind. I loved how strong and beautiful she was and she seriously didn't even see it. She was very humble and very real, but the ghosts come back to haunt her in the form if her abusive ex.
I adored Jarrod, his team mates, the wives and his family, they were a fun group and made this story so much better!! Jarrod was totally swoon worthy with his live and need to claim and protect Amalie!! Thus story is a great, fun read with a little drama a few bumps along the way to Happily Ever After!!
