Welcome to Sweet Memories Bakery, where the cookies are warm, the nostalgia is strong… and a pinch of magic might be the secret ingredient.
When Ivy Meyer returns to Moonlight Springs to reopen her grandmother’s beloved bakery, she expects flour, frosting, and maybe a few nostalgic tears. She doesn’t expect her cookies to trigger vivid flashbacks in her customers—or to see glimmers of blue light dancing in the kitchen where nothing should shimmer.
As the bakery’s magic stirs back to life, Ivy finds herself unraveling a mystery that’s been quietly simmering beneath the town for generations. With a handsome contractor next door, a journal full of secrets, and a string of strange occurrences tied to Nana’s old recipes, she starts to suspect her family’s “pinch of magic” was more than just a saying.
Set in a quirky Ozark town where memories linger like the scent of cinnamon rolls, Sweet Memories Bakery is a warm, magical story about second chances, family legacies, and the power of remembering what matters most. Book two in the Moonlight Springs series. A cozy women’s fiction series with a touch of magic and romance.
Perfect for fans of small-town charm, gentle magic, and women rediscovering their purpose and power—one bite at a time.

Hi, I’m Lula—lover of soft magic, small towns, and stories where the heart always finds its way home. I write cozy fantasy for women who crave a little wonder, a little warmth, and just enough enchantment to make you believe in the impossible again.
My books are filled with gentle magic, old secrets, and strong, heartfelt characters—often with a cup of tea in hand and a second chance just around the bend.
The Moonlight Springs series is my love letter to magical places that feel like home. If you enjoy women’s fiction with a touch of romance and a sprinkle of everyday magic, you’re in the right place.
Sweet Memories Bakery is the second title in the Moonlight Springs series. Ivy’s magic is awakening, adding far more than a touch of cinnamon to her tasty treats. Her Nana’s recipes always said “add a touch of magic”. Ivy just never could have imagined that cute little saying was actually literally a magical touch! Paul is a carpenter, yes, but he has a much more complicated past in the construction industry. He’s currently working on restoring and getting the storefront next to Ivy’s building ready for the new bookstore owner to move in. There are strange things happening to the wall that separates their businesses. A practical man, Paul, has no idea what is really happening or the impact it will have on his life… intense danger, yes, but also bringing the possibility of everlasting love into his life, if he’s brave enough to let go of the past.
The next guardian stone is awakening. And changes are coming to Moonlight Springs, upending life as several residents understand it. Both Ivy and Paul must believe in something impossible, fight an evil that seems to have the upper hand, and guide, not only the town, but themselves into a far different life than either could have imagined.
I enjoyed myself so much with Sweet Memories Bakery by Lula Ward. It’s a well-written story that kept me on edge and guessing until the very end. We’re being drawn deeper into the history of this small, magical town, and dealing with one very nasty man. Sometimes the hardest thing one can do is simply stay and face down what terrifies us. I loved watching Ivy’s and Paul’s relationship build, seeing familiar faces from this world again, and I look forward to the next story in this series. If you like to put together puzzles, solve mysteries, and maybe fall in love along the way, then you’d feel right at home here.
I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.

I likes this book as much as the first book in the series. As I was reading I was getting a little impatient for the stone to be found, but it was worth the wait, anyone who likes magic an romance,an exciting discoveries, all like this book, can't wait for book 3 to come out,
Sweet Memories Bakery was a very enjoyable read and just as good as Starlight Antiques, if not better. The second book of the Moonlight Springs series focuses on the second magical stone awakening in Moonlight Springs and its new guardian, Ivy Meyers. You meet characters new and old and it brings more magic and mystery to the story that has me looking forward to more.
I really enjoyed book 2 in this series watching Paul and I've finding their HEA. I am looking forward to book 3 in this series and will definitely recommend this book to everyone.
