I love these characters! Rake, DJ, and Shaun were three delicious men I am so glad I got to know! I want to give each of them a hug but also maybe make out with them a 'lil.

Marra was able to craft such a fun story. Full of romance, spice, action and adventure - what else could you want from a BDSM, MMM, Vampire romance? Because this book has it all. You'll laugh, cry, swoon, be horny, and feel all the loooooove. (And theres a lot of love bc there's three of them!)

I loved how Marra was able to create this vampire world but not make the rules of it too complex that it became a full fantasy story. You got hints to the old world of vampires with some modern twilight jokes that really took me back! The plot gave me everything I needed.

My favorite part? Googling all the BDSM bits because I have no clue about that life. Boy, I learned a lot.

Congrats on your debut Marra Moore! Now hurry up and write that second book because I need more Kit!

Right from the beginning this story hooked me in. This book is so full of emotions, real issues and lots of representation. It felt so well thought out.

We start off with the heartbreaking story of Shaun, our lone baby vampire and how he becomes. Fucking sad. Reading this as a parent, I was gutted. Like, worst nightmare stuff. But fast forward 15 years later and we meet Rake and Dj, a very steady and loving couple that are in the BDSM scene. They are just out there, living their best D/s life and come across a young sub that appears in real distress and they just have to intervene. These guys. They are just amazing. They just feel so real. The body image issues that DJ struggles with just breaks your heart. They are good guys that just want to do the right thing, not realizing it will open up a new world to them with lots of danger.

There are some dark themes and sometimes truly creepy moments with Shaun’s maker, but there are also a lot of funny moments with DJs family and coworkers. Overall just a well balanced, well written story that I enjoyed. Can’t wait for the second book, with grumpy little Kit 💕

The premise of this had me really intrigued and I think the cover's gorgeous, so I was excited when I got an ARC from the author.

Sadly, I didn’t really feel much chemistry between the mcs. The two smut scenes I read made me anxious more than anything because all I could think about was Shaun's incredibly abusive partner watching/finding out. Rake also seemed pretty judgmental for a kinkster in a bdsm club when he doesn't have the same info the reader does.

Maybe I read this at the wrong time but I don't think this one is for me, so I'm bowing out.

Incredible debut. Beautifully written with three amazing characters. I loved how they all took care of each other, recognising what each individual needed and when.

Rake was a standout character to me. Such an attentive, loving Dom.

Adored this book.

I received this as a free ebook ARC. All my opinions are my own.

A vampire walks into a BDSM club in Brighton and catches the eyes of two humans…

I loooved this book. It’s such a good mix of angst and humour, so while it does get quite dark at times for baby Shaun, Deej comes along like sunshine incarnate, with his little rain cloud Rake to put out the fires.

The characters are well rounded, you got the broken one who masks his trauma with jokes and sarcasm. The self conscious one who struggles with his weight, and the autistic one who has to be in control at all times, and has a meltdown if he’s overstimulated.

And there are all sorts of ethnicities, body sizes and sexualities throughout the book, which felt natural rather than feeling overdone. 👌

This was full on action so I didn’t get bored at all, it made me feel nostalgia for my teenage years when Vampires were the sh!t.

Now I wait patiently for little b!tch Kit 👉🏻👈🏻

As a former twihard who skinwalked Bella and was obsessed with Twilight (at an embarrassingly big age), I was intrigued: a twilight fan who pursues a relationship with a real life vampire? This would’ve 100% been me, down to missing every red flag and getting kidnapped.

Despite the story covering some pretty dark and heavy themes, it’s surprisingly light, utilising an irreverent/tongue-in-cheek narrative style that was a good choice, both for pacing and the sake of brevity. Delving too deeply into the emotional aspect would have derailed the plot and weighed the story down. Moore’s comedic timing is on point, and the humour provided ample levity to balance out the heavy themes. The dialogue was funny and engaging, and the action scenes were really well done; tense, gripping and just the right length. I also really enjoyed the exploration of the intersection between kink, vampirism and autism in the story.

The protagonists DJ, Rake and Shaun were diverse, dimensional and memorable; I was never left scratching my head wondering which was which. I clocked Rake as a soul brother when his autistic sense of injustice kicked in and he couldn’t let it go, it was very relatable. I’m usually on the fence about autistic protags in my reading, at least the ones that have similar traits to me (I already annoy myself, I don’t need MORE of me) but Rake’s autism is portrayed really well. Sometimes authors can go overboard, turning their autistic characters into stereotypical caricatures whose entire personality is just a mixed bag of common autistic traits. Autistic people are more than their symptoms/traits, they’re people first, and this is what I loved about Rake. When he got overloaded, he became extra sensitive to his environment, focusing on sensory details like people talking and sounds. It was realistic without being heavy handed.

Shaun’s character absolutely broke my heart. The poor guy just wanted to be loved! 😭 I’m so glad he got his HEA with Rake and DJ, their D/s dynamic was so sweet. There were clear lines, but also a lot of love and mutual respect. BDSM gets such a bad rap in media, it was refreshing to read a positive representation.

In fact, the whole BDSM aspect was done really well, each character’s unique kink preferences made sense for them. I could see BDSM’s structure and rules appealing to Rake, being autistic, and his Dominance allowed him control when so much of an autist’s life is out of their control. Vampires and BDSM actually complement each other well, the vampire/thrall dynamic aligns perfectly with D/s. I also loved the exploration of how Vampirism affected each character differently; DJ’s complicated relationship with food transferred to blood, and Rake’s panic over DJ and need for control led to him abusing his compulsion. And rather than DJ and Rake being cured of their struggles when they were recreated, they retained their individuality. Loved that.

The poly aspect to their relationship was another area Moore handled well. Adding a third to an existing relationship would be tough to navigate, but Moore does a fantastic job of balancing the focus and not leaving anyone out.

I did find some of the sex scene timings a bit bizarre, but you gotta admire the boys’ knack for carving out the time for kinky sex in the face of danger.
Dangerous vampire wants to kill you? It’s fine, he can’t get in without an invite. Sex!
Shaun goes missing for days, could be dead? Sex!
DJ has been kidnapped and there are two vampires you barely know within earshot? More sex!
Plus that ending? Unhinged. Loved the homage to Mary Shelley in that graveyard scene.

This is the kind of book you think about after you put it down. The characters will randomly pop into your head, and you’ll find yourself wanting to get back and see what they get up to next.

Thoroughly enjoyable, a great debut by Marra Moore. I’m really looking forward to Kit’s story.

Rake and DJ are boyfriends that frequent a BDSM club. That’s where they meet Shaun, who doesn’t seem to be in a safe situation with his dom. Little do they know, that Lawerence isn’t actually Shaun’s dom, but his evil vampire sire who has him under his control. This book follows DJ, Rake and Shaun as they help free Shaun from Lawrence’s grasp and build a relationship with him.

You’ll get:
-MMM (human couple + subby vampire) relationship
-BDSM themes
-balance between action and spicy content
-a lighter tone, despite some dark themes

If you know me, you’ll know I absolutely love vampire books. I did enjoy this book for the most part, and thought the premise itself was quite unique and fun. I loved that the humans were the ones saving the vampire in this situation, whereas the vampire is usually portrayed as the protector in most vampire romance books. The cast was diverse, and the story was easy to follow. There were definitely a couple moments in the book I REALLY enjoyed. I loved this spin on vampire romance!

That being said, I found the characters in this book to be a little simple-minded and quite one-dimensional. Their lack of common sense and depth took away from the reading experience for me a little bit. The villain was also very underwhelming, unfortunately. Other than that though, I still really liked the story, and thought the concept was really cool. The book is still fun and easy to read, and I think a lot of people will enjoy it even more than I did!

Definitely a good read for spooky season!

Ok, this book was just fun! It had everything I could want in a novel.

The story revolves around an 18 yo man named Shaun, who ventures out on his birthday to meet up with his “Edward Cullen” love interest that he met online. Things don’t go quite as planned…

Shane collides into the other two main characters DJ and Rake at a BDSM club and their lives are all changed forever.
DJ, a Sub who’s slightly over weight, and has a mild eating disorder and pop culture obsession, especially with Buffy; and Rakesh, or Rake for short, a Dom who is slightly on the spectrum but has a big heart and loves to be a caretaker and video game enthusiast, were both fully realized and fleshed out characters. I really enjoyed how everyone was so distinct and unique. Everyone had a purpose and role to play and I found myself rooting for them to find their happy ending!

I don’t ready many MMM so this was fun and I loved the dynamic between the three leads.

The story was very intriguing, funny, heartfelt, dramatic, and erotic! This book really did have it all for me, and I look forward to the next installment in this duology.

There are some very dark themes explored here, so as always, check the trigger warnings before reading if you know you have triggers. Otherwise, dive in as blind as possible and you will enjoy this wild ride.

The author is clearly a vampire lore expert; the lore presented here was very on par with most vampire lore in pop culture, but there were a few things changed to make this universe its own special place, and I appreciated that!

4.5/5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

I received this as a free ebook ARC. All my opinions are my own.

Oh my God, this book was chef's kiss!! From the story to the characters, I was enthralled from page 1. Shaun, Rake, and DJ burrowed their way into my heart from their first appearances and have never left! I appreciated seeing DJ's insecurity on the page. I think it added a perspective I haven't personally read a lot of, and I also appreciated how Rake and Shaun made him feel loved.

The relationship between the three of them was a nice balm for all the harrowing things that happen in this book. I won't go into spoilers, but Lawrence when I catch you!!

I loved Shaun's journey through the book. When we meet him, he's at a very low place, and it's just nice to see how he got through it.

Anyways! 5 stars for excellent characters, an excellent story, and an overall incredible book!!

Thanks SO MUCH to the author for sending me an ARC for this wonderful book!!

I wasn't even planning on finishing this tonight but my brain couldn't even think of sleeping until i finished this because Rake, DJ and Shaun had me in a deathgrip until i made sure they would be okay.

This book brought me a lot of joy while still having darker side (that i think were handled very well). I cant wait to get my hands on the next one in the series and find out more about Kit because I already love him as well.

4.25 stars. A story that kept me interested throughout. Very interesting vampire world building and a great emphasis on consent. Shaun deserved so much better than Lawrence, and Rake and DJ really delivered. All three struggled with a variety of different issues that the others could support. I hope that there will be something about werewolves in the future, as I'm very curious how the author would write those. I look forward to reading about Kit next.

I actually really liked this story. I think it was different. I read so many supernatural MMs, so sometimes they can blur together. But I felt this one stood its ground.

I do question myself at the beginning whether I was that naive at 18? 🤔 I was like oh come on, you can't be that dumb." I also had to message my bestie and send her a screenshot of a highlight in regards to her previous Twilight obsession when we were younger 🤣 She wasn't very nice with her response. F and Off were used several times, haha. I'm glad she grew out of it.

Anyways, I digress. I really liked the characters. They all had issues. And I think it was written well. Especially because they all didn't suddenly get better. These kinds of issues. Human or Vampire, haha, last a lifetime. You just build on doing your best.

Feck Lawrence, though. Absolute vile creature.

Can we also praise this author? For writing the fact he needed more blood to get hard! Because usually Vamps are all walking around with hard ons. It was nice to have this in a story.

“You’re still of the belief that this isn’t an evil plan?”
Lawrence harrumphed. “I will accept that it is, perhaps, nefarious.”
“That’s just evil with extra syllables.” ⬅️ 🤣

Nefarious is my favourite word. This made me LOL for no reason.

Overall, I enjoyed the book. And so look forward to Kits story. Although gotta wait a while 🫠🙄 rude. Haha.

🌶🌶🌶 on the old spicy scale. But I'm a freak, so nothing is ever spicy enough for me.
🌟🌟🌟🌟 I think it was a good story. Well written. Overall, I enjoyed the book.

Plus, I love a UK setting. I lived in Brighton myself for a few years.

Maybe 2.5 stars, but I can't really give it that.

Look, I really think this is more of a *me* and not the story kind of thing, but I also don't think that.

The thing is, the premise is super cool. Super, super cool. The execution is... Mediocre. Not even at best. More at worst.

The prologue was very good.

And then the rest of the book just went downhill from there. How exactly does one make a BDSM threesome involving vampires boring? *waves hands* pretty much like this book does it.

The issue, I believe, is in the minutiae that doesn't concern the actual plot line and also the ridiculousness of the plot line itself.

But. Like. Things that took me out of the writing were:
* pointed mentions of everyone in DJs and his Dom’s circle of colleagues being all sorts of LGBTQ+. It's okay, we can tell you're inclusive, there's no need to do it so heavy handedly.

* mentions of their jobs in such a context. This book isn't a society fresco, there's no need for detailed descriptions of what one does in an app to mobile or console gaming company. It also doesn't serve the plot in any way.

* all the Twilight references.

*Whatever Shaun's deal is. Also, a red headed character called Shaun.

* the BDSM scenes were boring. How. How do you make BDSM boring. Also. The logistics of the scenes were. Dubious. At best. AT BEST. I scratched my head like a thousand times over the scene in the club with the X cross. How exactly did the Dom open up his sub?

* the thousand and one mentions of neurodivergence. There's no need to hold a psychology lesson. Showing and not telling is an amazing tool which lacks completely here.

*Just. Man. Boring.

This story kept me captivated. It was dark and gritty and packed full of emotion and action. Add in the paranormal element, BDSM, and the MMM relationship and it was a total winner for me. I would definitely recommend checking trigger warnings because it does get pretty dark and a bit graphic. But those details needed to be in the story

The book had a great storyline, detailed world-building, and fantastic characters. I was truly impressed to see this was a debut. I'm excited to see what she does with Kit's book next

I received an ARC of this book from the author and this is my honest review

“You’re still of the belief that this isn’t an evil plan?”
Lawrence harrumphed. “I will accept that it is, perhaps, nefarious.”
“That’s just evil with extra syllables.”

I was unsure to what degree I would enjoy this, as I find BDSM romances vary wildly in how they grip me. This worked beautifully and had a great balance of sweet romance, sex, and plot. Each element was well written in and of itself, but the story really shone when all three elements came into play at once.

Opening with Shaun’s beginning, as the outsider, helped me as the reader to connect with him. Seeing Shaun at 17 – human – also made it more jarring to see how he’d changed when we meet him later. It makes Lawrence so much worse, especially when we meet Kit and learn more about Lawrence’s past.

There was a strong focus on BDSM throughout – indeed we meet DJ and Rake for the first time mid-scene in a club – and the burgeoning relationship between Rake, DJ and Shaun but equally so was there a strong focus on plot. The intimate scenes were a lovely balance between gentle strength with a fun little twist of Shaun being a vampire.
It tipped along nicely before suddenly plunging into chaos and the tension was high until the last moment. My heart was hammering in fear for the characters for most of the latter half of the book! The author also took time to let the characters check in with each other despite the imminent danger they were all facing.

Contrary to what some people might believe, showing Rake’s vulnerabilities made it make more sense that he would be a Dom. Interestingly, all three men struggle with control but manage it very differently and this was reflected in what they got out of the BDSM, which I thought was well done. Rake has issues with touch so him being the one in charge of how and when he gets touched fits well, DJ struggles with food and body image so being the one focused on and worshipped helps, and Shaun struggles with boundaries and vocalising what he does and doesn’t want so Rake being so black and white, outside scenes also, brings Shaun closer to healing. I think the author dealt with the amount of trauma that Shaun (and…others…) experienced very well.

The characters were all quite distinct and although the story is quite insulated to the trio, Lawrence and only a couple of other characters, we very firmly feel the world that they inhabit. Seeing DJ’s family and how warm and loved they were there was a great contrast to Shaun’s isolation from both family and friends.

Lynnette was a powerful force, and I enjoyed how she contrasted from the other main characters all being men, especially as she then becomes so pivotal to their plan to take Lawrence down. I would’ve loved to have seen more of her and her ventures.

It’s difficult to know what to say as much of the story hinges on secrets being revealed and I don’t want to give too much away but I really enjoyed this whole book and will definitely be keeping an eye out for Marra More in the future!
(The ending was touching – a little sad, a little sweet, with both glances back to the past and hope for the future.)

I really enjoyed the storyline of this book and eagerly awaited the downfall of the big bad Lawrence – I thought he was a great villain!

Shaun is the missing piece the other two didn’t know they were missing, and after Rake and DJ step in to help him at a sex club, they can’t stop thinking about the smaller man.

The MMCs balanced each other out well and I thought Rake was the perfect dom for the two subs. I loved how quickly Shaun becomes comfortable with Rake and DJ, opening up to them and being honest about his nature. They made him feel wanted and safe for the first time.

I also appreciated that all three characters had their own insecurities to try and overcome, and that they weren’t ‘swept under the rug’, instead being handled sensitively, each character having their time to share their doubts.

This will probably be an unpopular view, but I really enjoyed the conversations between DJ and Lawrence, as much as I didn’t like the situation DJ was in, and one of these interactions turned into my favourite of the book, making me chuckle:

“You’re still of the belief that this isn’t an evil plan?” (DJ)

“I will accept that it is, perhaps, nefarious.” (Lawrence)

“That’s just evil with extra syllables.” (DJ)

DJ’s sarcasm during these scenes, while still managing to get Lawrence to open up and let us in on his plans, really made them stand out for me. If Lawrence wasn’t the enemy, I can imagine them being friends with hilarious back and forth banter.

I adored how supportive DJ’s parents were, especially their kind acceptance and accommodation of Rake’s needs. I just wanted to hug them both so much!

I also loved the addition of Kit as a supporting character. He’s a brat but I did love him for it. I’d be interested to see where his story takes him.

ARC review. The book comes out on the 3rd of September.

With the power vested in me by being a nosy little bitch who can't stay out of other people's business, I hereby pronounce you Dom and sub. You may now spank your partner."
÷÷÷

Kinky, MMM, Paranormal? I tried hard not to sign up for the ARC (I have so many lovely books that I am trying to read!). I failed successfully. I am happy I read it!

The characters are witty, snarky and loving. There is lots of humour throughout the book, I definitely snort laughed! The story kept me intrigued and it is well written!

Marra gave me so much beautiful representation. Rake has an Indian background. He is also touch averse and is sometimes overwhelmed by the world. DJ is a dark skinned, chunky boy. The bdsm between the main characters is sweet, loving and spicy!
I was living for the many brat moments!

÷÷÷
DJ was a vision in white, his body contorted in a way that arched his back, with a single piece of rope between his teeth. It pulled his head back, showcasing the bliss on his face. He wore the ropes like his body had been built for the purpose of being tied; the indents in his flesh exquisitely accentuating his full figure.
÷÷÷

This book has a lot of dark themes too, please check the trigger warnings.
I was fine. The only thing that had me shooketh and shaketh was the graveyard scene. That is definitely in the dark/gothic romance corner.

Take all the best bits from Twilight but it’s written by a British author, it’s funny & make it a gay, poly, kinky romance!

Hear me out on this one ‘cos I’m not great at putting my vibey energy into proper words.

This is like the fanfic of Twilight that 50 shades wanted to be. We’ve got all the angst, the vamps, the kink & even an epic battle scene, but there’s also buckets of humour and the creepy billionaire dude is actually (rightfully?) the villain. He’s also just enough of a poser to probably be quite happy being compared to Christian Grey 🤣 I could imagine if he’d ever heard of it Lawrence would definitely want a ‘red room’ in his basement.
This is however not a fanfic, but was clearly written by a fan of the original. It’s more of an inspiration if you will. It’s ’what if a Twihard got turned into a Vampire’.

The prologue reads like a who’s who of red flags. Remember when we were kids and our parents told us to be careful who we spoke to online? Yea, this is why! Poor little Shaun was completely charmed by the odious Lawrence who convinced him to run away with him on the night of his 18th birthday.

Flash forward to many years later when Shaun meets Rake & DJ in a kink club in Brighton. They immediately sense his unhappiness and decide to make it their mission to try and look out for him.

The kink in this was great, it wasn’t excessive, but it set the scene for the kind of relationship Rake & DJ enjoy and what Shaun would like to be a part of. It didn’t feel gratuitous, there was loads of plot and humour to balance it.

Did I mention this book is funny? It had me snorting with laughter so many times I lost count. DJ’s sarcasm really is a load bearing structure and Kit’s snarkiness in the face of danger could lighten even the darkest of moments. Oh and even Rake’s got jokes, dad jokes admittedly, but jokes nonetheless. I think the comedy added a great balance to what could have become an incredibly angsty story.

I must give an honourable mention to the battle scene in the later part of the book ‘cos WOW that was intense! I don’t want to spoil it with details but it gets proper gory in places. It is a fitting end for the nasty Lawrence.

Loved the dynamic between Shaun, Rake & DJ. He really needed someone(s) to come along and take him under their wing and show him what real love should feel like and what a healthy relationship looks like. Also the spicy scenes between them are super hot 🔥

I can’t end this without mentioning the uber bratty Kit. He was a highlight of the book for me. He uses his snarkiness as a weapon and I can’t wait for him to get his book. I need to see more of what’s inside the head of this broken boy and I would love him to meet his perfect Daddy.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review

Inhuman Nature is a dark and deeply emotional vampire romance that hooked me right from the start. Shaun’s story is one of captivity, pain, and finally finding freedom and love in the unlikeliest of places.

Turned against his will on his eighteenth birthday, Shaun has spent fifteen years bound to a cruel master, stripped of choice and made to exist rather than live. When DJ and Rake catch sight of him at a kink club, their hearts ache at the emptiness in his eyes, and they can’t shake the need to save him. Their connection is instant, undeniable, and dangerous.

The contrast between Shaun’s torment under his master and the tenderness he sees between DJ and Rake is breathtaking. The punishment scenes are hard to read, and very sad, but they make Shaun’s eventual escape and his desperate flight into the arms of DJ and Rake all the more powerful. What follows is a storm of passion, violence, loyalty, and the raw beauty of submission offered freely to someone who truly deserves it.

This isn’t just a love story, it’s about reclaiming identity, finding trust after betrayal, and the fierce fight for a chosen bond. It’s dark, it’s violent, but it’s also achingly tender. If you like your vampire romance with bite, angst, and devotion that shines through the shadows, Inhuman Nature delivers.

I wanted to try this one because vampires, although a trope that is already very well established, can be so good and fun when written well. Luckily this book delivered and I was immediately invested in Rake, DJ, and Shaun's story. Theirs is a little dark, with some angst because Lawrence is a trash bag but everyone gets what they deserve in the end and I loved seeing the trio come together.

Hands down my favorite person was DJ, I loved his flippant humor even in the face of deadly situations. Rake also I adored, especially as a Dom, he was incredibly gentle with both Shaun and DJ while also clearly holding the power - the dynamic was great with no weird feeling power imbalances. Shaun completed the three with his fierce refusal to be broken and his protectiveness. The three of them together worked so well.

I like this world of vampires and I liked the story outside of the romance. I think Kit will be a really good edition to the series and I'm super excited for his book since he clearly deserves an HEA as well. I thought this was a well done debut with promising themes and exciting characters to read about.

*thanks so much to the author for an ARC! These are my honest and voluntary opinions

Inhuman Nature was both a fun and heart-wrenching read. Marra Moore strikes a perfect balance between laugh-out-loud comedic moments and the weight of trauma and tragedy. She somehow manages to bring the hilarity of a Twilight fanboy into the middle of a devastating story of survival and abuse—yet still delivers a hard-earned, deeply satisfying happy ending.

On top of that, there are layers that make the book so much more: sex clubs, BDSM dynamics, and a couple learning how to welcome a third into their relationship, all paired with plenty of delightfully spicy scenes.

This story truly has it all—vampires, dom/sub dynamics, found family, supportive friendships, and important representation. Moore touches on complicated relationships with food and body image, as well as authentic portrayals of autism, while also exploring the difference between healthy and unhealthy dynamics in relationships.

The fact that all of this is woven seamlessly into just 347 pages is astounding. I can’t wait to see what happens next—especially with my favorite grumpy character in @marramooreauthor 's upcoming book 2026 cant come fast enough!

Moore took some of the most well known vampire tropes and said "But what if we made it Queer and kinky?" and I am so here for it. Definitely mind the triggers, this one starts out pretty dark and poor sweet Shaun really goes through it. Luckily Rake and DJ are made to take care of him and make him smile respectively. Adding a 3rd to an established relationship takes skill and you'd never think Moore was a debut author because it's so skillfully done and does not feel like it is off balance. I know a lot of people are using the "golden retriever MC" trope lately and I kept thinking that this is like a Newfoundland (look I know he's not the biggest but he is the steadfast protective sweet one) and a jack russell terrier (if you've read this you know who I'm talking about) meet the twinkiest golden retriever to ever exist and fall in love....I think this review went off the rails.

Anywho, if you're a fan of some kink, a LOT of spice, vampire lore, and super sweet polyam romance, this is definitely the book for you. Bring on Kit's story!

ARC Review
Release: 9.3.25

Rake and DJ aren’t looking for a third when they meet Shaun, but one unforgettable night changes everything. When Shaun shows up at their doorstep bruised, desperate, and in need of safety, Rake and DJ are pulled into a world far darker and more dangerous than their own.

I absolutely loved reading this book! The Twilight reference had me laughing out loud, and the blend of action, atmosphere, and hurt/comfort made the story so engaging. The paranormal setting felt rich and vivid, and the chemistry between Rake and DJ was scorching. But Shaun… my heart. His vulnerability, his strength, and everything he’s survived made me want to wrap him in a hug and never let go.

And then there’s Kit—what a scene-stealer! He completely won me over, and he’s easily my favorite kitty boy (next to Shaun, of course). I’m already counting down for the next book to see where his story leads and how this series unfolds.

ARC Review

This isn’t just a vampire story. It’s an unflinching look at power, survival, and the complicated ways love and harm can tangle together.

Marra Moore doesn’t shy away from darkness, but instead peels it open and shows you the raw, aching humanity inside.

Shaun’s journey broke me in ways I didn’t expect. Watching him navigate coercion, trauma, and the flicker of hope was both gut wrenching and beautiful.

And then there’s DJ and Rake. God, their scenes. The club, the restraint, the quiet worship wrapped in dominance? Absolutely intoxicating. Every moment of connection between them burned off the page.
Their care, their love, their grounding dynamic...it stood in sharp contrast to Lawrence’s predatory control, and it made the emotional impact hit ten times harder.

This book made me ache, made me rage, and made me hope. It’s messy, bloody, and brutal...but it’s also tender and unforgettable.
