That blush again, spreading from his cheeks down his neck, disappearing beneath the collar of his shirt. I find myself wondering how far down it goes. How much of his body would flush pink under different circumstances—under my hands, my mouth.
“I think you like following commands.” I keep my tone matter-of-fact, as if I’m delivering a diagnosis. “I think you respond to authority. To structure. To being told what to do.”
“On your knees.” My breath catches. I should assert myself, maintain some semblance of equality between us. But my body is already lowering itself to the carpet, knees pressing against the rough fibers, back straight, hands resting on my thighs. The position feels right in a way I can’t explain. Slade’s hand cups my face, thumb brushing over my cheekbone. “This isn’t a one-time thing. You understand that, right? What we just did—what you gave me—I’m not letting that go.” The possessiveness in his tone should scare me. Instead, it sends heat pooling low in my belly again. “I don’t want you to,” I admit. His smile is soft but certain, filled with promise. “Good boy.”
